Isle Delfino was pretty peaceful. Just your typical sunny day... until it began raining violently because of Bowser Junior messing around with the weather high in the sky above the entire tropical island.

"Ha ha ha! Now I can finally wash away those barrels of oils I forgot to pick up!" Bowser Jr. stated as he piloted his Junior Klown Kar around the rain filled clouds. "I just hope that no one notices..."

"Man, is it rainy here!' Lakithunder proclaimed as he glanced around, smiling. "Good thing I established another power plant here!"

Lakithunder had placed a power plant just near the Sirena Beach, with several Piantas and Nokis coming by to request power, of which he provided, channeling the lightning occasionally flashing in the stormy sky as he then used the electricity to power up the power containers the citizens of Isle Delfino brought with them.

"Hey, what are with those barrels over there?" A female pink Pianta asked as he noticed some barrels drifting off into sea, with the others noticing.

"No idea. Probably someone left them over." Toadette stated as she was amongst the Piantas and Nokis.

As Lakithunder kept on channeling electricity, he accidentally touched his drink of water nearby as he zapped himself, fainting. Everyone looked down at the injured Lakitu as they glanced at each other, not knowing what was going on.

"Is he all right?' A green male Noki asked, with most of them shrugging as they shook their heads.

"Ahh... I just love the way the weather acts." Toadsworth stated as he was in an Inn at Delfino Plaza, being among several Toad tourists. "It makes me feel better."

Dry Bowser simply sipped his milk as he glanced over at Toadsworth, being at a wooden table with Petey Piranha as they were playing chess. "What makes the rain so soothing to you, old man?"

"Oh, you know. Just the way the rain drops." Toadsworth stated as he adjusted his glasses. "It reminds me how fickle life can actually be..."

Dry Bowser shrugged as he turned back to Petey, placing a Queen piece forward. "Your move."

Petey grumbled as he attempted to pick up a horse piece, but then paused as he was thinking what to do.
