EDsassintion #2: Getting to know the EDs-perience
(Tokyo, Japan)
Another day, another daily life in Tokyo, Japan. Butterflies flutter, birds chirping, the sound of cars and trains pass by with people going on with their daily life without fail. Students coming out of their houses and apartment complex as they walked to school, boys goofing and girls gossiping, everything was peaceful for the world.
But not for the Eds, they're currently running down the street as fast as they can because for one they're running late for school.
Literally.
"NIGERUNDAYO! IT'S OUR SECOND DAY AND WE'RE LATE!" Edric shouted on top of his lungs.
Edric was ahead of the other Eds, running at full speed that's not even possible but not as Koro Sensei's. Eddy and Double were behind him while the latter was panting due to his fragile build. Meanwhile, Ed was running behind the three as he leaned back while reading manga in his hands.
"IT'S MONOBROW'S FAULT! HE JUST HAD TO STOP BY THAT MANGA STORE WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING! TOOK US A WHILE TO REALIZE THAT!" Eddy yelled in anger, it was too early for him to deal with this.
"But Eddy, it was the newest edition of 'Slimy Bobber Flinger from Planet Planet: The 4th coming'. I just got to buy it." Ed defended himself.
"Honestly, you and your accursed comics are the reason why we missed the train. And now we're running to make it in time for class." Double D complained before he began to slow down and panted heavily. "I can't go on. Curse these flimsy limbs."
"Oi! Don't give up on us now, Sockhead! We have to make it so I can talk with some of the girls in class! Especially that bishoujo behind that big bazonga girl!" Edric exclaimed. Double D sweatdropped at Edric's reason and took a few deep breaths.
"I doubt we'll make it, Edric. Class starts in–" Double D looked at his watch and gasped upon the time. "10 minutes?!"
"NANI! 10 MINUTES?! AT THIS RATE, WE'LL NEVER MAKE IT!" Edric shouted as they started running again.
As they kept on running down the street, Eddy passed by an alleyway and saw something catch his eye as he abruptly stopped in his tracks. Ed, Double D and Edric bumped into Eddy one-by-one, causing him to lean forward but sprung back as he knocked the three on the ground.
"Itetetetetetete! What's the big idea, Eddy!?" Edric yelled at Eddy, who was still looking towards the alley. Then Eddy gained a smirk as he and his friends knew something was up whenever Eddy smirks. "Okay, what are you scheming this time?"
Edric got up and turned to Eddy's direction at the alley and saw a bunch of pieces of wooden boards, tires, and a shopping cart laying there. Didn't take Edric that long to figure out what Eddy's planning now. Eddy then stretched his arm towards the down Double D and yanked him to his side, crashing onto Eddy but wasn't fazed one bit.
"Alright, Sockhead. Start building us a ride." Eddy pointed at the pile of junk, Double D groaned before looking at the pile.
Judging by the material laid before him, he could make this in a few seconds but wasn't sure it could help them make it to class on time. He then turned to Edric, who was picking his nose in daze. Despite his flaws, Edric is the only person he could ask as he was the most reasonable if not reliable.
"Should I, Edric?" Double D asked.
Edric was tempted about this idea of Eddy's, sure it can get them there on time but last time Double built a makeshift vehicle it didn't end well. During 'Don't Rain on My Ed', they were running to get free jawbreakers at the candy store but it was closing soon that day. Double D made a makeshift scooter to get there in time but was thwarted by the Kankers and ended up getting kissed sans Eddy and Edric.
Edric looked at his phone, time wasn't on their side this morning so they had no other choice. Plus, he was getting tired of running anyway.
"Desperate times for desperate measures, Double D. Make the damn thing and fast." Edric replied, pointing the pile of junk to the smart Ed.
"Very well. Follow me to victory, gentlemen!" Double D cracked his fingers as he ran into the ally to do his magic, followed by the rest of the Eds.
(Class 3-E)
Meanwhile, all students of E-Class made their way to their classroom and sat for their mutant octopus teacher to arrive. As they waited, they could help but notice that the transfer students have yet to arrive. They looked at the four empty seats in the 2nd row and pondered where they could be.
"Uh, does anyone notice that we're short of classmates?" Maehara asked, breaking the silence between them as they knew what was about.
"Yeah, 2 minutes before the bell and they should be here by now." Kayano said, looking out the window if she can see them.
"Who cares about those freaks? We don't need their ugly mugs here." Terasaka said, couldn't care less about the Eds. A handful of students looked at the delinquent with slight annoyance.
"Come on, Terasaka." Nagisa sighed, a bit annoyed by Terasaka's attitude. "They may be…odd but they're not so bad. They're just strange like Koro Sensei."
"Not to mention that you almost blew up Edric and Nagisa, so you have no right saying things like that." Kataoka glared at Terasaka as he looked away, annoyed.
WHOOSH!
Suddenly, a gust of wind shook the building as the students knew what it meant. Then they heard slithering coming from the hall as the door opened to reveal Koro Sensei and made his way to the front of the room.
"Good morning, boys and girls." Koro Sensei greeted them as he made it to his desk. Then he noticed four desks of certain transfer students were empty. "Would any of you like to tell me where Ed, Double D, Eddy, and Edric are?"
"Uh. We're not sure, sir. We figured they'd be here right now." Nagisa told him, standing up from his seat.
"Has anyone tried to contact them?" Koro Sensei asked the class, but only replied in silence. Koro Sensei took silence as a no before he sighed. "Really, no one bothers to exchange contacts with them?"
The students were a bit embarrassed that they didn't, given how they act, they find it difficult to exchange numbers with the Eds being weirdos. Edric, especially, with his dead fish eyes and the graze-like scar creeps them out. A small number of students felt bad about it, I mean, who can blame them?
The Eds were the strangest kids they've ever met, on par with Koro Sensei.
"Come on, teach. Do you expect us to give those 4 freaks our numbers?" Terasaka asked, sneering at the thought of the Eds as the rest of the class glared at him but he ignored them. "After what they've done to the school, good riddance. Can't be caught dead with those 4 around, especially that samurai wannabe."
"Terasaka, that's totally uncalled for! Regarding the trophy case, it was an accident on their part! You shouldn't say stuff like that to your classmates even if they're odd. It's no better than the students at the main campus do to you and anyone in E-Class." Koro Sensei said with his angry red face. The student fell dead silent as they realized they're doing the same thing as their upperclassman. Koro Sensei sighed again and looked back at his students. "Don't be so judgmental of the Eds, sure they're different from ordinary people but I think they'll fit right in with you, boys and girls. Give them a chance, they will not be as bad as you think."
The students were still silent as they felt guilty of stooping so low as the rest, Yada was hurt the most as she remembers what she said yesterday to Edric. It reminded her how insensitive she was when she first met him as she was one of the girls who gasped upon seeing his scar. Especially making him mad when she asked about it, she didn't even think about how he felt. Now she's guilty and wants to apologize to him if he ever comes. Koro Sensei looks at the clock and class is about to start in 10 seconds, seeing that the Eds are not present at this time he'll start class without them.
"Might as well start class, children." Koro Sensei said as he opened his book. "Ed, Double D, Eddy, and Edric will be-"
KA-BLAM!
The students ducked when the window suddenly burst open with debris flying at them. And they saw at that moment, the Eds were riding a shopping cart modified with handlebars in the front, tires with different sizes, a Trash can and a wooden barrel as engine thrusters spewing fire on the back of the cart. Edric was at the wheel while Ed Edd n Eddy were holding onto each other screaming in the back of the cart.
"AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" The Eds zoomed past between their classmates and Koro Sensei before crashing into the door.
CRASH!
Dust flew after the Eds crashed as the students and their teacher covered their faces from it. Then they heard groaning from the broken door as the class turned their heads to see the Eds coming in and boy they're a mess. Ed's uniform was in shambles with his head stuck in a trash can and his left shoe missing. Double D had minor cuts and bruises with his blazer ripped and a couple of splinters on his hat. Eddy was using a wooden board as a walking stick with his jacket missing, hair strangled up in a knot and his face rough up. Edric's uniform was torn and has splinters sticking out along with the handlebars wrapped around his head and neck.
Everyone in E-Class was shocked at the Eds surprise entrance and injured themselves afterwards, not to mention that they totally wrecked the classroom. The Ed then lifted their right arms up as they saluted at Koro Sensei.
"All present and accounted for…" Edric managed to say before he and Ed Edd n Eddy fell down to the floor, faceplanted.
DING-DONG! DING-DONG!
The bell set off, meaning that class had started and the Eds were on time, barely. Everyone in E-Class sweatdropped at the Eds beaten state.
(Cue Tougenkyou Alien by serial TV Drama)

(Then scene pans at the city of Tokyo, Japan. Edric walked in facing backwards as he turned around and gave a biggest goofiest smile. The scene changed to Kunugigaoka Junior High as pans away. Eddy and Ed came next as the two did the same thing as Edric. Then changed to the E-Class building in the mountain as it zooms closer. Double D came last as he gave his smile. The scene zooms to the classroom, in which no one was there except Koro Sensei with his arms wiggling about and giving his signature smile as the title appeared.)

(Edric was walking towards the halls of his dorm room, making his way to the bathroom, yawning. He picked his nose as his 13 year old self appeared behind him as did his 7 year old self. The scene changed to him sitting at the table with the other Eds as he drank his cola before throwing it away, hitting Eddy on the head, and ate his red bean paste on rice. Then Edrice was standing on top of the mountain, viewing Kunugigaoka Junior High and Tokyo from afar. The screen panned to the E class building as it gradually moved to the classroom, where Nagisa and Kayano by their desk as they looked up smiling, Karma glanced up and smirked, The Eds sat by their desk while Edric leaned back before looking up and smiled.)

(Yada, Kanzaki and Nakamura talked as they walked to the building. Nakamura decided to tease them a little as Yada blushed while Kanzaki simply smiled. Transition to Koro Sensei as he wiggled around before he split into nine and posed. Changed to Takebayashi and Okajima chat about the maid cafes with the Okajima gushing about the girls there on their way home. They then turned to see the Eds coming at them in a makeshift go cart with Edric driving, freaking them out, as they passed by them.)

'You must not yet. Ooh, Throw away a hope that is loyal to your standards.'
(Nagisa and Kayano were driving their go cart with Karma with a Anti-Sensei rocket launcher and Sugino hanging on. Terasaka and his entourage were running with Ritsu on wheels, carrying Hara, Kurahash, Hazama and Okuda joining with Takebayashi and Okajima. Yada, Kanzaki and Nakamura were on theirs while Okano used skates. Fuwa pointed forwards as she's with Maehara and Mimura in their go cart. Isogai drove his cart with a nervous laugh while Kataoka sighed. Chiba and Hayami drove theirs with guns in hand. Kimura drove with Sugaya drawn in his sketchbook. Itona drove a makeshift motorcycle. Then Karma fired his launcher as it was going towards the Eds as they screamed in panic as it exploded into them.)

'The seesaw game is continuing. Yeah, Yeah, and we won't give up.'

(The scene changed to the forest in the mountains where Edric was running in a military uniform as he wielded his Anti-Sensei bokuto in blue paint as he slashed his opposing students with it in a battle cry. The Eds joined him as they fought off as the scene changed to Takaoka with Smog, Grip and Gastro. Then the screen panned up to see Shiro along with the Reaper as the latter showed his frightening smile. Karasuma was having a meeting with his superiors before turning around and walking away as the scene flashed into Irina in her casual look, then to Gakuha Asano in his office, then to Aguri Yukimura in her lab coat.)

'With all you've got, yell 'Da! Da! Da!''
(The Eds emerged from the smoke from earlier and drove as fast as they could while Karma kept firing at them. The mountain was seen as explosions were seen as they gradually went down. The Eds stops at the fence of the school as Edric skidded, leaving tire marks on the ground. Edrice then faces the screen with a 'da' followed by Ed Edd n Eddy then Koro Sensei appearing above the Eds.)
Edsassination #2: Getting to know the EDs-perience
"Ugh…" Edric groaned, regaining consciousness from the crash as he slowly opened his eyes. His mind was a bit hazy before recognizing where he was as his eyes widened and got up quickly. "Oi-"
BONK!
"Ite!" Edric accidently bonked someone in the head as he caressed his forehead. His loud shout made the other Eds wake up as well.
"Jawbreaker!" Eddy shot up from the floor.
"We're late!" Double got up while holding his head in panic.
"Gravy!" Ed sat up, smiled like a simpleton.
"Ow…"
Edric turned to see Nagisa in front of him with Isogai and Maehara by his side while rubbing his head. Thus letting Edric know that it was Nagisa he bonked his head with.
"Gomenasai, didn't see you there." Edric apologized to Nagisa as he and the other Eds stood up.
"No, it's fine, Should've paid more attention." Nagisa said as he looked at the Eds followed by Isogai and Maehara.
The Eds noticed that the holes in the wall and door were fixed as if nothing happened to them at all. Then they all turned to see the entire class was staring at them with concerned looks on their faces.
"What?" Eddy asked, breaking the ice as they were curious of why they're being stared at.
"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU 4 THINKING?!" The entire class yelled, startling the Eds as they plug their ears while being blown back from the outburst.
"Oi! What's with all that yelling!" Edric shouted back at them with white eyes.
"We're yelling 'cause you 4 were almost late for class and broke through the window then crashed into the door! And you're acting like it was nothing!" Kataoka shouted, puzzled at the Eds and regarding the damage they did.
"Collateral damage, it's not like we did that on purpose." Edric said, scratching his head.
"Just what happened to you guys?" Maehara asked as he and the rest of the class stared at them in anticipation.
Eddy then grew irritated as he reached over to grab Ed by his unibrow and yanked him towards him.
"It was all monobrow's fault! Blame him for making us late!" Eddy exclaimed, letting go of Ed as the latter bobbing back and forth from his spot.
"Forget it, Eddy. Y'know about Ed and his comics but he could've told us instead of wandering off." Edric sighed while Eddy grumbled.
"That doesn't explain to us much, guys." Kayano pointed out as the class agreed.
"Well, we're on our way to the station and noticed that Ed's been too quiet on the way before we realized he's gone from our sight. We traced back our steps to find Ed in a manga store buying books that we pass by on the way." Double D tells them the whole story while he takes off his blazer and brushes the dust off of him.
"Took us a while to get him out of there and before we knew it, we missed our train!" Eddy adds before he glared at Ed, who was not paying attention to him as he read his manga.
"We had no choice but to run. We had less time on our hands, that's when Eddy found some junk in the alley and had an idea to make Double D to build us a ride in hopes to make it in time. It didn't take long, given Double D's knowledge of science and engineering, to make that thing and we got in with me on the wheel. We drove but that's not enough for us to make it in time, so I put the thruster into overdrive to pick up the speed we needed. It was too fast and I tried to apply the brakes but it snapped and we crashed, leading us to now." Edric finishes as he rests his cheek against his fist.
Their story shocked the students but at the same time was a bit awkward for their situation. It was too silly to believe, creating a turbo-powered cart in a matter of seconds, crashing through the window and the door then shrugging it like it was nothing to them. But they saw it happen and couldn't deny it. They had a lot of questions about all of it but didn't want to press the topic any further.
"I would've made better brakes if someone hadn't bugged me in creating turbo engines and not caring about the safety and precautions of not having fully functional brakes." Double D said, looking at Eddy in annoyance.
"At least we made it in time. Be grateful, Sockhead." Eddy nonchalantly said, walking over to his desk. Then Double D freak out upon realizing they damaged school property.
"Dear lord! We damaged school property! Koro Sensei will surely be mad at us for this! Please tell me that we're not getting detention on our second day!?" Double D shouted out in panic, but noticed that their teacher was not in the classroom as Edric and Eddy did also.
"Speaking of the octopus, where is he?" Edric asked, looking around the classroom. Nagisa let out a light chuckle, gaining attention from them.
"About that. After your…entrance, he took it upon himself to repair the damage you made with his speed. Then took off to get spare uniforms when he saw yours damaged before telling me and the other to tend your injuries. Thankfully, it wasn't too bad." Nagisa explains to them, holding up a medical kit in his hands.
"You guys had us worried there for a moment. We didn't expect you guys crashing in like that but at least you 4 are OK." Isogai said, also holding out another med kit.
"Gomenasai. We didn't mean to break through the building. Or scaring the crap out of you guys." Edric bowed his head to the class.
"Yes, again we're sorry for our recklessness." Double D bowed his head as well.
Edric turned to Ed, who was still reading his comic on the floor, then coughed to get his attention but was too distracted on his comic. He walked to Ed before lifting him by the collar as Ed looked up from his comic.
"Anything you would like to say, Ed?" Edric asked in an irked manner. Ed then put on his thinking face as gears began turning in his head. But his mind crumbled as he smiled dumbly.
"When's lunchtime?" Ed asked, making the class sweatdropped.
BONK!
"Chigau!" Edric yelled, bonking Ed in the head, giving him a big bump. "I meant to tell the class that you're sorry!"
"What for?" Ed asked, confused.
"For us making a mess in the classroom and breaking the window!" Edric exclaimed. Ed then looked around the classroom and the window before looking back at Edric.
"But Edric, there's no mess and nothing's broken." Ed said, forgetting that Nagisa told them that Koro Sensei fixed the mess.
"It's your brain that's broken, Ed." Eddy mocked, pulling out a workout catalog and putting his feet on his desk.
"Mattaku." Edric groaned before yanking Ed's comic book from his hands and held it back. " Tell the class you're sorry, or else I'll return this comic back to the store."
"No Edric! That's the newest edition of 'Slimy Bobber Flinger from Planet Planet: The 4th coming'! I need it!" Ed panickedly pleaded, trying to grab it back but Edric kept it further away from him.
Ed's outcry of the said comic caught the attention of Yuzuki Fuwa, the girl with short, purplish-brown hair styled in a bob cut and purplish-black eyes.
'It came out?! When?!' Fuwa thought, her eyes widened.
"Say you're sorry, then I'll give it back." Edric said, pointing to the class. Ed immediately jumped toward the front of the classroom and landed on his knees.
"Oh forgive me. For I have committed a great sin. Forgive me, my friends" Ed apologized but right before-
SLAM!
He slammed his head into the floor, leaving a hole with his head stuck. The E-Class students were shocked at his sudden action and more shocked how he slammed his head straight through the wooden floor and wasn't hurt by it
"It's ok, Ed. As long as you aren't hurt, that's all that matters." Kayano chuckled nervously, waving her hands at him.
Ed yanked his head out of the floor and ran up to Edric then held out his hands, waiting for his comic. Edric sighed, seeing that Ed did as he told him, and gave his comic back to him as Ed went back to reading it.
WHOOSH!
Suddenly, the whole class room shook with a great force of wind, the class shielded their eyes and then turned to see their teacher, back with several school uniforms in his tentacles.
"Ah, good to see you 4 are awake. That was quite the entrance you made." Koro Sensei cheekily said, making the Eds hang their heads in embarrassment. Koro Sensei then gave the new uniforms to the Eds and zoomed away and then came back with their handmade cart in his tentacles "While I am impressed at this little ride here, especially with how amazing the mechanics are with just a few junkyard items. However, I will not tolerate destruction of school property, even if it's to get here on time."
The Eds gain a sense of dread and depression hang over them like mistletoe on Christmas. Especially when Ed tried to use one during July and Edric had to smack that damn mistletoe away from Ed.
"Now go change your clothes, we'll start class when you return." Koro Sensei tells them. The Eds simply nodded their heads and left the classroom to change their clothes. As they left, Koro Sensei grabbed the cart and set it off to the left side of the room, away from the door.
"Sir, is all of this what you meant by how they fit right in?" Nagisa asked as the class listened in for the teacher's response.
"In some respects, yes. After all, when you look at the design of this cart, it's clunky and full of random parts, not to mention the tires aren't even the same size." Koro Sensei pondered in thought, he held the cart in the air and pointed out its design. "And yet, those four managed to create a turbo powered cart that got them here in the nick of time, though I suspect that Double D made it more than the rest, but still. When you hear the story they say, it definitely shows how each of them operate as a group."
"Uh, sir. What exactly do you mean by that?" Kataoka asked as she and the rest of the class were a bit confused.
"Think about it. The whole reason they missed the train was because Ed has a love of comics and decided to buy it, though he seems to enjoy horror stories a lot more. It's obvious he's not the most intelligent boy, but his bright eyes, smile, and goofy demeanor always seems to bring a smile to their face, even if they never show it" Koro Sensei said wisely, placing the cart down and the class stayed quiet as they listened. "Double D was the one that created the cart and even though it looks like it couldn't move with their misshaped tires, it still was able to get them from point A to point B in the span of a few minutes. So it's obvious that he's the brain of the operation but he's not the operator himself. No, that goes to someone else."
"And who is that?" Isogai asked, raising his hand.
"Why Eddy, of course. He came up with the idea of having Double D create this cart as he knew that it was their plan of making it on time. Plus his love of money and scams seems to show that he's a planner. A schemer. He's the one that orders the group around but they still seem to follow him even if it sounds crazy, what he suggests. And there's Edric. He may look intimidating but when you look at it, he really does look after his friends. He knew that using the cart is risky but he fully supports it if they would make it on time. Plus, he seems to care about others as well. Just take Terasaka's suicide bomber attempt yesterday." Koro Sensei added as he made his way over to his desk. Nagisa rubs his head in embarrassment as Terasaka looks away from the class when he mentioned that. "He saw the threat his classmate was in and went to save him despite putting himself in danger. It shows that he'd do anything to help his friends and doesn't care what others think of them. I think that those 4 are simply inseparable. Which is why I ask all of you, don't be separated from them just because they're odd. They're a fantastic group of friends, who are the complete opposite of each other and yet work so well together. So get along with them, alright?"
The class fell silent at Koro Sensei's opinion about them. His talk about the Eds really made them think differently about the 4, a little bit. It's true that they were weird and were completely opposite of each other and yet, they seemed inseparable and the very best of friends. Even after crashing through a building, they still seemed happy with each other. Maybe they should follow their teacher's advice and not be so judgmental.
Even hearing this, Toka Yada began to rack her brain about her situation with Edric. She still felt bad about asking him about his scar as it was obvious that it was a sensitive topic to him so she had to think of a way to apologize. But would he accept it? She didn't know. But maybe with what Koro Sensei had in mind for today, maybe she could find a way to apologize to him.
(Few minutes later)
After the Eds changed into their newly fresh uniforms, they made their way back to the classroom as Koro Sensei began today's lesson.
Or so they thought.
"Alrighty class. It's another day of school, but it's also the second day of our 4 new transfer students." Koro Sensei announced, pointing at the Eds before fishing through his desk. "We were going to go over The Great Gatsby and why people say it's great but I decided to change today's lesson and do something different, since we have 4 new students here."
"Um, sir. What exactly do you mean by something different since me and my friends are here?" Double D asked, surprised by Koro Sensei's announcement along with the rest of the class.
"Since you 4 are new to this class, I figured that this would be a good time for you four to get to know your classmates by pairing off into 4 different groups!" Koro Sensei exclaimed, pulled out some clipboards, glass jars, butterfly nets, and pencils. Then used his speed and soon handed out all of these things to the class and then zoomed back to his spot. Everyone was surprised by the sudden offer of tools.
"And by doing what and with these exactly?" Edric asked, holding the net up.
"Each one of you is going to draw from this basket and since this is about you 4 getting to know your classmates, you'll be the group number that everyone will be assigned to. Ed being the 1st, Double D being 2nd, Eddy being 3rd, and Edric being 4th." Koro Sensei said, writing on a piece of paper and tearing it up and then placing the pieces in a basket and stirring the bucket. "So there will be four groups, though since we have 29 students here, one group will have an extra member. You'll be grouped by the sheet of paper you get in this bucket. Then your group will venture out into the forest and find one animal and you will then work on how they work either as a single animal or as a group. Once you have that animal, you'll have the rest of class time to work on it. Now let's get these groups underway, shall we?"
Some of the students internally groaned at today's assignment before Koro Sensei walked around the classroom bringing the basket to each student. While the students took a number from the basket, Yada thought of how this could work for her. If she ends up in the same group as Edric, maybe she could apologize for yesterday. She didn't want any bad blood between them and wanted to make amends.
This was it. This was her plan to get on good terms with Edric.

Too bad that plan failed as she ended up in the group that Double D was in. And these were the group's choices for the Eds.
Group 1: Ed, Nagisa, Terasaka, Fuwa, Isogai, Chiba, Okajima, Kataoka
Group 2: Double D, Yada, Muramatsu, Kanzaki, Hayami, Hazama, Sugaya
Group 3: Eddy, Nakamura, Sugino, Hara, Okuda, Takebayashi, Kurahashi
Group 4: Edric, Kimura, Yoshida, Maehara, Okano, Mimura, Kayano
"Alrighty everyone. Now that you all have your groups, go out there, find some lovely specimens to write about and come back with something beneficial to all." Koro Sensei said as he zoomed to the door and opened it.
The class soon gathered their belongings in crates and headed outside, to where the Eds separated themselves as they went to their designated Ed in their group.
"Alrighty everyone. Head out and find your animal. You have until lunchtime. Then the rest of class time will go to you all working on your animal report. Now go out there and have fun!" Koro Sensei exclaimed as he pointed his tentacles towards the forest.
The class hummed in acknowledgement and then soon ventured off into different parts of the forest to find their animal.
Ed's group to the west side of the forest, Double D's group headed to the spot in between the North and west area, Eddy's group took the North. And Edric's group to the path between the North and east side since south led to them going to the main campus.
All for a crazy time with one of the Eds.
(Ed's Group)
Nagisa was leading Ed's group as he held the map of the forest and led the group through it, while Ed still stuck his head in his new comic. The group were a bit awkward, given the assignment meant to get to know the Eds but still had a hard time trying to talk to Ed. Terasaka, however, was way annoyed that he was to do the assignment with the dumbest one of the Eds.
"This is totally balls. Why did we have to go out into the hot sun and find some stupid animal?! And with the stupid one of all things?" Terasaka complained, walking behind the group.
"Oh, shut up, Terasaka. Koro Sensei told us to spend time with our newest classmates and that's what we're doing. Besides, it's rude to call someone that." Kataoka said, annoyed as she slapped him on the shoulder.
"Yea whatever. He's not even listening to us, so why should we bother trying to 'bond' with him if he won't pay attention?" Terasaka grumbled, kept on walking.
"Look, he's just very invested in his comics. I mean, you saw he was distraught when Edric took it away. So it means a lot to him. We can't blame him for liking something." Nagisa pointed out, looking back at Terasaka from over his shoulder as the delinquent clicked his tongue in annoyance. Ed didn't hear them as he was too invested in his book, but he soon turned his head as he felt someone tap his shoulder. He turned to see Fuwa looking at the dumb Ed.
"Umm, hello there, Ed." Fuwa said, feeling a bit nervous when Ed simply stared at her with his dumb expression.
"Hello." Ed said with a big grin. Fuwa still felt awkward but soon shook it off and regained her posure.
"Uh, I see you have the newest edition of 'Slimy Bobber Flinger from Planet Planet: The 4th coming'." She pointed at the comic book in his hands.
"Yep. It just came out this morning and boy oh boy is it awesome!" Ed smiled, jumping up and down in excitement.
"Umm, is it ok if I take a look at it. I'm kind of a fan of this book series as well" Fuwa chuckled as she rubbed the back of her head.
"Oooo. Another fan of this series. I've been dying to talk to someone else about this book series" Ed said, beaming with happiness and holding onto Fuwa's shoulders while jumping, freaking her and the others out. Ed then let go of her shoulders and began to test her knowledge. "Ok, so what happens when Bobber makes his way to the third planet he visited?"
"Trick question." Fuwa said as she wasn't weirded by the strange question and just laughed in a mocking way as she pointed at him with a smirk. "It was believed that he was on a different planet but it was really the hallucinogenic gas the Squid King released from his sacs to lure in prey"
"What did Bobber swear in his life he would never do when he lost his pet raccoon?" Fuwa asked Ed back.
"That he would never get garbage again since it was his pet raccoon's treasure meal. And that that meal belonged to his pet and his pet alone." Ed answered, pointing at the sky in revelation.
Fuwa and Ed simply laughed as they loved how the other knew a popular comic while the rest of the group let them fall behind and left them to themselves.
"Well, she seems to be getting along with Ed." Isogai chuckled at the two's conversation.
"Yeah, it's kind of sweet to see Ed making friends. I mean, we should be too with him but they seem to be preoccupied." Kataoka also chuckled.
Nagisa heard their conversation as well and couldn't help but chuckle too. The group kept going, but as they made their way through some bushes, Nagisa stopped the whole group in their tracks.
"Uh, why did we stop–" Ed was about to ask.
"Shhh!" said Nagisa as he shushed Ed as he bent down and pointed at the rabbits ahead of them.
The group looked forward and awed at the site in front of them, especially Fuwa and Kataoka. There sat an adorable family of snow white rabbits cuddling together as they slept under the tree. The group soon kept quiet as they saw the rabbits happily sleeping.
"Ok, let's be quiet and observe them. It's best not to..." Nagisa tells the group until–
"BUNNIES!" Ed exclaimed out loud as he jumped up in the air, scaring the others as he landed on the ground and then ran over to the rabbits, but ran through a tree that was in his path, surprising everyone.
"WAIT ED!" Isogai yelled, scaring the rabbits awake to see the giant figure running towards them. They soon scattered off but not before Ed managed to capture two of the rabbits and then hugged them to death.
"Oh, I love bunnies. Bunnies are so furry and so soft." Ed said as he began to rub the bunnies on his face. The group sweat dropped in awkwardness at Ed's weird affections towards the rabbits.
"Well, at least he caught two so we can observe them." Nagisa chuckled nervously.
"Not before he rubs the fur off of those things. What a weirdo." Terasaka groaned, leaning against a tree.
"Leave him alone. He loves rabbits and there's nothing wrong with..." Fuwa said, annoyed by Terasaka's comment.
"ACHOO!" The group was startled as Ed let go of a gigantic sneeze and shook the trees. He felt dizzy after that sneeze as we know why sans the rest of the group. "I sneezed."
"Well, that was quite a sneeze. Now let's hurry and take notes so we can get this done" Kataoka said, reaching into the crate and fishing for her clipboard as everyone else did the same.
But as they had their backs turned, a sudden shadow began to illuminate over them, which the group was confused by. They turned around and gazed up at the strange shadow...
...And were completely frozen with fear.
"Umm, what the heck is that?" Kataoka meek upon seeing what it was.
"I think that's..." Terasaka mustered up his courage.
(Double D's Group)
Double D was leading his group through their section of the forest as he was mesmerized by all the creatures he saw on his way. Then they soon found an amagaeru, also known as a Japanese tree frog. When he found it, he began spouting off many facts about the frog, so the group just decided to go along with him and do this frog for their animal, since he knew so much.
"I must say, this forest has such a vast variety of colorful species and specimens. It's truly remarkable how many we've already seen. I'll bet this only scratches the surface!" Double D exclaimed, kept writing down things in his notebook as everyone sweat dropped at his love for nature.
"He seems to be like Kurahashi in a way." Kanzaki whispered to Yada, to which she lightly snickered.
"I know. The similarities are almost uncanny." Yada whispered back to Kanzaki. But as Yada began to think of Double D being in their group.
She then reminded herself of another group member she feared she made an enemy with, Edric. She wanted to apologize for her rudeness, or what she believed to be rudeness, yesterday but wasn't sure how. He seemed angry when she asked him about his scar so she feared that he hated her now for asking about it, and figured it was a bad topic for him to talk about. But she still wanted to apologize for asking such a sensitive topic to him. But how?
She then decided to ask one of his friends about what she should do. So she moved over to Double D and tapped him on the shoulder.
"Double D?" She called out to him as he turned to her.
"Yes, how may I help you, miss...?" Double D asked but didn't know her name.
"Oh, I'm Yada. Toka Yada" Yada simply introduced herself.
"How may I help you, Miss Yada?" Double D asked her.
Yada tried to talk about her problem but she couldn't figure out how to say it. Double D was his friend but she didn't want to say something that offended him or Edric. But she knew she had to ask, so she mustered up her courage and told him.
"So yesterday, I asked Edric about his scar and it seemed to have angered him. I know you guys are new here and I think I made him hate me. I mean, I saw it in his eyes." Yada tells him, looking down at the ground in worry. Double D heard her words and understood. "And I want to make it up to him, but I'm scared to. Is there something I can do to make it up to him?"
Double D was surprised at her words as he didn't know that she felt this way. He remembered she asked Edric about his eye yesterday and he was angry but he knew he wasn't mad at her. But he thought it was sweet that she didn't want to be on bad terms with Edric.
"He wasn't mad at you, Miss Yada." Double D said, which surprised her.
"He wasn't?" She asked back.
"No, of course not. It's just that his scar is a sensitive topic to him and he doesn't like to talk about it. Heck, Ed, Eddy, and I still don't know about it. We asked once and he asked that we leave that alone. We respected that cause it was his life, his decision not to tell us." Double D explained. Yada kept listening as the others did as well. "So he's not mad at you, your question just must've brought back those bad memories he has. So I'm sure that if you face him in good faith, he will forgive you. If not, just find some time to be alone and apologize to him. He's a nice guy, just has been through some things that makes him have a short temper. So it's not you he's mad at, just the mention of his scar."
After hearing that, Yada felt a bit of relief wash over her. Her guilt seemed to lessen a bit as she felt glad that it wasn't her he was mad at, just about his eye. But hearing this in her mind made her realize something else.
"Wait, not even the rest of you know about his scar?" Yada asked, as the rest of the class paid attention to his response.
"Indeed. He never has told us about his scar. Trust me, we're just as curious as you but when we first asked him, he seemed just as angry and we feared it was of us, but it was more on his scar that he hated. So he asked that we leave that subject alone and we respected him for it. I'm sure he'll tell us one day, but we just had to be patient. He's not very comfortable talking about it." Double D said as he stared back at the map.
Everyone in Double D's group was pretty surprised that not even Ed Edd n Eddy knew how Edric got his Graze-like scare. They figured he would've told them but he didn't. They kept walking through the forest unti a sudden shadow floated over them through the trees. They all looked up and saw something big, floating past them as they also heard cries from the large object. As the class looked above them, they heard rustling, to which they turned and saw Ed's group running towards them at high speeds.
"Guys, what's wrong? Why are you running?" Yada asked as the group stopped in front of them and panted.
"Because, we're chasing that giant balloon up there" Isogai pants, resting his hands on his knees.
"Why?" Double D asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Because that balloon is..." Isogai tells them.
(Eddy's group)
Eddy's group made their way through the forest with Kurahashi leading the way since she loved walking through the forest and seeing all the animals. Eddy grumbled of how she resembled Double D when it comes to nature, it annoyed him in every way.
"Great, another nature lover." Eddy complained, walking beside Nakamura with his hands in his pockets.
Kurahashi led them down the path as she then suddenly stopped by a river and internally gasped as there ahead of them was a Tancho, also known as Flying Japanese crane.
"Oh wow. These birds are hard to find. Let's study this one!" Kurahashi exclaimed in a hushed voice.
"Nah. Lets find something more useful than a stupid bird" Eddy grumbled as he then jumped out of the bush and scared the bird away.
"Hey, what's the big idea?! That was an animal we can study. why'd you scare it off?" Kurahashi asked in an annoyed tone while the rest of the group were shocked by Eddy's action.
"'Cause birds are useless. They always make annoying noises in the morning and all they do is peck at the food you have when you're eating outside and crap when they're in the air, meaning it could land on you. So I'd rather look at something that won't cause me problems." Eddy told her and kept walking through the forest.
They kept walking for a while until Kurahashi soon saw something amazing. It was a shiny, green beetle with a slight tint of red in its shell. Kurahashi gasped upon seeing the beetle.
"A Chrysochroa fulgidissima!" Kurahashi exclaimed in excitement as the group sweat dropped at her excitement.
"Yea. It's a shiny bug. So what?" Eddy asked, nonchalant.
"So what? SO WHAT?! Eddy, this is a rare insect to find in the world. They're commonly called Jewel Beetles. Some subspecies of the jewel beetles are extremely rare, and some may be found only in specific locations. There are various types of jewel beetles around the world and not all are found everywhere, which makes them rare, like this guy right here!" Kurahashi explained in excitement.
"What exactly is this bug like?" Sugino asked in question.
"The Chrysochroa fulgidissima is a rare type of insect with iridescent wings. Their matured body has a green metal shine with horizontal rainbow streaks. Birds are afraid of things that change color, so they stay away from insects with iridescent wings, which change color in different lights. They are highly popular among insect collectors for their beauty. Including myself." Kurahashi informed as she reached into their crate and pulled out a small bug jar, and managed to capture the bug. But before she could look at it, Eddy snatched the jar away from her as he then stared at the bug with a devious look in his eye.
"Rare means hard to find. Hard to find means lookers. Lookers means buyers. Buyer means mu-lah. Mu-lah means we're rich." Eddy said as his eyes then changed to dollar signs, with the classic Cha-ching sound. Then jumped up and down in excitement, shaking the bug around in the jar. "WOOOOOO!"
BLAM!
Suddenly, he was shoved to the side, losing his grip on the jar as it flung in the air and then landed in the hands of Kurahashi with a freaked out expression.
"What's your deal?!" Eddy groaned, got up as he rubbed his head before looking at Kurahashi.
"You were shaking the jar with the bug inside! You were killing it!" Kurahashi exclaimed, holding the jar close to her.
"Ok, so I got a little excited, but tell me. How much is that little sucker worth?" Eddy asked as he rubbed his hands together in deviousness.
"NO! I want to keep this little guy. He's valuable and a rare creature to find. I'm not giving him up like that." Kurahashi tells him, turning the jar away from Eddy. Eddy groaned as he rubbed his face in annoyance.
"Look, that little guy can do more good for us sold and bought than cooped up in a jar. You gotta know what's profitable and what's junk. If that bug is rare, we can find some sucker that would love that shiny bug and see if he's willing to fork over an entire house for this. So hand over..." Eddy tries to sway her until a dark shadow flies over the group. They all looked up at the sky and saw a gray and yellow balloon looking thing floating past them as it soon moved away from their sunlight and kept on floating by.
"What was that?" Nakamura asked in confusion as everyone else asked the same thing.
RUSTLE!
RUSTLE!
Soon they heard leaves rustling and they turned to see Double D's and Ed's group, running towards them and stopped by them to catch their breath.
"Yo Sockhead. Where's the fire?" Eddy asked, meaning he was asking what they were running for.
"We're chasing that blimp" Double D pants, pointing at the sky in the direction of the blimp.
"Why?" Eddy asked.
"Because that blimp is..." Double D tells Eddy.
(Edric's group)
Edric's group had made their way down to a river that was close by and made their way to it. He didn't like nature in particular, he found it a bit boring and had nothing else to do there but camp and hike. But he sucked it up and tried to get it over with as he looked at the map.
"Let's go this way." Edric said as he followed the map's directions.
"So why exactly are we going to the river?" Maehara asked.
"Because a lot of animals tend to go to the river to drink. It's a hotspot for animals, at least that's what Double D told me. We'll write about whatever animal we see there and be done with it." Edric said as he led the group to the river.
"Oh. That makes sense." Kayano said as the group kept on walking until they made their way to the river.
It was beautiful with a bit of the forest as the group saw many trees surrounding the river bank as the sky was open in the middle with many rocks and stones alongside the bank.
"Okay, let's see what we'll find here." Edric said as he walked alongside the bank, with Kayano behind him and the rest followed. He looked alongside the bank and as they came to a log in the river, then saw a family of red shelled turtles, playing with each other in the moss and water. "Hey guys, I found some turtles. We could write about them."
While Edric began writing down notes in his notebook, Okano looked behind her at the rest of the group.
"Do you think this is a good time to apologize to him?" Okano asked.
"Why?" Maehara asked before Okano stepped on his foot, making him flinch in pain.
"You know why. We all basically judged him based on his looks. You remember what Koro Sensei said. We're supposed to make friends with our new classmates. We should apologize for freaking out by his looks." Okano said before glancing at Edric, who wasn't listening and was focusing on the turtles.
"Yeah, I guess that we should do that. It's the right thing to do." A male student with light brown hair styled in bowl cut and light brown eyes, Koki Mimura, said.
"You especially need to apologize to him." Okano said as she then pointed at Yoshida, objectively.
"What did I do?" Yoshida asked in a surprised manner.
"You almost blew him up and killed him and Nagisa. You're lucky you're not in jail for that." Kayano said in an annoyed and angry manner.
"Hey that was Terasaka that made the bomb and put it on Nagisa. Edric was just in the way." Yoshida said in a carefree tone.
SLAP!
But only to be met with a slap on both sides of his face by Kanyano and Okano. Edric heard the slap and turned towards the group to see both the girls slapping Yoshida as he fell down as he rubbed his cheeks.
"You know damn well what you did. You nearly killed him with the grenade and you think that we should just forget that. You could've killed a new classmate with that irresponsible stunt!" Kayano yelled in disbelief at her classmates' actions.
Edric heard this and knew that they must've been talking about him from the grenade stunt yesterday. He internally sighed, they made a big fuss over it, he was pissed about it sure but he was alright in the end.
"Oi, what's going on?" Edric asked as he wanted to know what they were talking about.
The group became worried as the cat was out of the bag of what they were talking about but they knew it would happen eventually. The group turned to face him as Yoshida brought himself up as Kayano stepped up.
"Listen Edric... we..uh..." Kayano stumbled with her words until she took a deep breath and then the whole class bowed their heads in unison, except for Yoshida so Okano reached up and yanked his head down. "Please forgive our rudeness. We didn't mean to be rude to you on your first day here."
"Huh?" Edric said in confusion. The group then lifted their heads as Kayano stepped forward.
"Look Edric. We're sorry that we judged you based on your looks when we first saw you. You were new and we treated you poorly. And for that, we ask for your forgiveness." Kayano said with a sad look on her face.
Edric was surprised by this, he didn't expect them to apologize. He knew that some of the class was freaked out by him. He expected it to happen. He's been through it before. But never had anyone ever apologized before. He set his stuff down, stepped forward and placed his hands on Kayano's shoulders, causing her to look up at him.
"It's fine. You guys are not the first and won't be the last. I expected people to be freaked out by my looks. I was saddened back then but didn't care now. But you guys are the first to apologize. So thanks for that. It's reassuring." Edric said, then he smiled at the group. Seeing his smile made the group feel a bit better about themselves as Yoshida soon began to feel the guilt of yesterday coming back to him as he then stepped forward.
"Look man, sorry about yesterday. We were just so gung ho on getting that money we put you and Nagisa in danger. Sorry man." Yoshida apologized, rubbing the back of his neck.
"It's all good, I understand. Heck even I was gung ho about it too. Besides, that doesn't compare to what the Eds and I did back home." Edric said as he recalled the shenanigans. "Anyways, let's get this assignment over with..."
"HEEEELLLPPPPPP!"
The class heard a voice from afar as they looked around to see where that came from. Soon a shadow appeared above them as the sun glared off the balloon so they couldn't see what it was. Edric looked closely at the balloon and noticed something familiar about the balloon. Then he took out his iphone and used his camera function and zoomed in to see a familiar face.
"Oi, is that..." Edric muttered, eyes widened as it sailed away. They heard rustling behind them, to which they turned and saw the rest of the class running towards them and stopped to catch their breath.
"Minna, what's going on?" Edric asked.
"EDRIC! We need to stop that balloon!" Double D pants loudly.
"Why?" asked Kayano.
"Because that blimp thing…" Double D was about to answer.
"Ed got near the bunnies again, he bloated and flew away, right?" Edric answered in Double D's place, deadpanned and pointed to the floating Ed. Double D nodded his head as Edric sighed then turned towards the direction of Ed as he jumped over the part of the river. He landed and then ran after Ed as the rest of the class followed. "GET BACK HERE, LUMPY!"
"Help. I am floating away!" Ed yelled in panic as the rest of the class followed the puffy Ed.
"How did Ed get near bunnies in the first place?!" Edric shouted.
"Apparently Ed's group found a group of rabbits snuggling together and of course Ed would forget he's allergic to them." Double D said, trying to run as fast as he could but was slowing down.
"Of course he forgot! We're talking about Ed here!" Edric retorted as he stared at Ed, who was still floating away from them.
They were never going to get him down from the ground at this rate and there's not a scrap of parts in the mountains. He could climb to the top of a tree and catch Ed but that takes too much time. So there's only one thing to do for this and Ed did it before that involved a certain red balloon. Edric reached over to Eddy and yanked him by his coat, bringing him over to him and holding him in the air.
"Edric, what the heck are you doing?!" Eddy asked, freaking out.
"Urusai! Now, hold still!" Edric shouted, pulled Eddy's pocket chain and that made Eddy's hair suddenly start to whirl like helicopter blades.
"Get on, Double D!" Edric tells Double D as he understood and clung onto Eddy with Edric as Eddy then started to go up in the air while the class ran and stared in awe at Eddy, Double D and Edric were now somehow flying away by Eddy's hair, towards their friend. "Don't worry Ed. We'll save you!"
Double D, Eddy and Edric flew higher and higher into the trees after Ed. As they sailed closer, Eric could see now that Ed had lumps on his body as well as purple spots. Yup, Ed definitely came into contact with rabbits.
"This better not mess up my hair, Edric!" Eddy complained as he remembered the last time they pulled this trick in the journey 'Ed, Ed, and away'.
"We all know that's not happening!" Edric shouted as they kept flying faster and faster towards Ed. He reached out for Ed's shoelaces as Double D reached for the other side too. They're closer and closer until they finally caught Ed's laces. "We got him!"
"Woooo!" Eddy cheered, stuck his hand up in success until his hand soon got caught in his hairs, causing them to get tangled and making them lose their flight power.
"Welp, can't say I told you so." Edric deadpanned as the group then began to fall down as Eddy clung to Edric's blazer as they fell towards the ground. "Incoming!"
As the Eds descended rapidly, the class was still right behind them before they hit the ground.
BOING!
Then sprung back into action by Ed's inflation and went back into the air, taking the other Eds with him. They bounced around while the class kept chasing after them as they spoke out so many questions.
"How exactly is being allergic to rabbits able to turn Ed into a blimp?!" Kataoka asked.
"How did Eddy's hair turn into a helicopter?!" Maehara asked too.
"Just what are these guys?!" Sugino exclaimed.
Soon the Eds bounced their way through a thick bit of branches as they went through them as they were scraped and scratched by the branches. They soon passed all the way through it, but before they could celebrate, they had even bigger problems ahead.
"Oh no. A cliff!" Everyone exclaimed, seeing the Eds were heading towards the cliff ahead.
"Dammit!" Edric drew Lake Kiryu and struck it into the ground as hard as he could while leaving a trail. He then planted his feet as he skidded as the momentum was slowing down but not enough. Ed was moving forward over the cliff but Edric held with all his might and began to pull. He yanked the three back towards the class who made it out of the forest to see what was happening.
Ed floated slightly up but they soon came down and the rest of the Eds landed on their feet as they kept their grip on Ed. Edric pants, exhausted from pulling the balloon Ed-boy. They then pulled Ed's shoes towards some logs and tied him to it as they all then collapsed in exhaustion. The class did the same as they were glad they didn't go over the edge.
"Ed, one these days, I'm going to kill you before I kill that octopus." Eddy said sarcastically, kept on panting.
"Come on, you know how short term memory is his weak spot." Double D pants, defending Ed's actions.
"Ed's got too many weak spots to deal with." Edric groaned, laying on the ground as the rest of E-Class soon joined them as they too were tired from running.
"Man, you guys are a crazy bunch." Maehara said, laid on the ground.
"No joke. I thought we'd lost you 4." Kayano said, holding herself up with her hands on her knees.
"Seriously, how can a man's hair turn into a helicopter?" Nagisa chuckled.
"I don't know but we always find a way to break physics. But the hair part is Eddy's specialty." Edric replied as he sat up from the ground.
"Screw you." Eddy groaned.
"No thanks, I'll do that to the ladies." Edric jokes, causing the girls of E-Class to blushed a bit.
WHOOSH!
Then a gust of wind blew in from where they were as everyone to cover their eyes from the flying dust. When the dust settled, the class looked to see Koro Sensei standing by them as he panicked.
"What on Earth is going on here?! I heard screams of panic and worry. And what happened to Ed here?!" Koro Sensei asked as he pointed at the lumpy Ed, who was scratching himself.
"We'll explain when we get back, I'm thirsty for a cola." Edric sighed, stood up from the ground.
"Scratch me. I am itchy." Ed complained as he kept scratching himself.
(Class 3-E - One explanation later)
After Koro Sensei found them, the whole class made their way back to the classroom and tied Ed to some cinder blocks they had outside the windows. They then relayed to their teacher on what happened on their trip into the forest.
"And when we caught him, we bounced around to where we couldn't stop. But I managed to stop before we went over the cliff. And that pretty much leads to right now." Edric finishes their story, taking a sip from his cola.
"Ah I see. So he's allergic to rabbits, huh? And seems to be forgetful about it." Koro Sensei said, writing everything down in his journal.
"Yep. I didn't think about their being rabbits out there. We would've said something to ya guys." Edric finishes his cola.
"Second day and he almost kills us. Good grief." Eddy complained, wiping the sweat from his forehead.
"You know Ed, Eddy. He doesn't remember anything that's related to comic books." Edric pointed out.
"Yeah, yeah whatever, Samurai wannabe." Eddy said, leaning back in his chair while Eric grumbled at his other nickname.
"I see. Well that certainly is an interesting thing to deal with huh? Nurufufufufufu."" Koro Sensei chuckled.
"Define interesting?" Edric sarcastically asked.
Koro Sensei then looked at the clock and noticed that it was 2:45, much to his surprise. Though the more he thought about today, it was understandable.
When class was about to start, the Eds broke through a window and door of the classroom then passed out. Koro Sensei had to clean up after them and lay them over to the window side. Then had to rebuild the mess that they caused. Then he had to fly to the school and get new uniforms. When the Eds changed, it was already 10:20. Then after he told them what to do and they left for the forest. Then after all the stuff they went through and by the time they made it back, it was already 1:30. Then they tied Ed down, got drinks and after explaining everything that happened, it was almost the end of class.
"Well, I guess this didn't exactly go out as I had planned but I'm just happy that you all weren't hurt badly." Koro Sensei said as he slithered back to his desk, much to the class's confusion.
"Sir, what do you mean by that?" Nagisa asked.
"Well, I still wanted to have you guys present your animals but I feel like you've all been through enough today so we'll make this quick." Koro Sensei faced the class before pointing to Edric. "Edric, what animal did your group find?"
"Just a family of red shelled turtles by the river." Edric simply answered. Koro Sensei nodded and hummed in acknowledgment then turned to Eddy.
"Eddy, what about your group?" The teacher asked.
"All we found a was shiny, stupid bug." Eddy said in a carefree tone, catching Double D's attention.
"I see. And what did your group find, Double D?" Koro Sensei asked the smart Ed.
"Oh. Well, we found a delightful Amagaeru, also known as a Japanese tree frog for our group." Double D answered in delight. Koro Sensei then zoomed over to the window, where Ed's at.
"And what did you find, Ed my boy?" Koro Sensei asked from the window.
"Oh, little fluffy bunnies,-AH, AH, ACHOOOO" Ed sneezed and flew to the ground, bounced off of it and then hit himself on the roof. "I sneezed."
"Now, the rest of you minus the Eds, explain to me about your animals that separate them from each other. Apart from their names." Koro Sensei asked them as he zoomed back to his desk as the class was confused by the request.
"Well, ours was a group of turtles and turtles live in water or the sea. And hide in their shells." Okano said for Edric's animal.
"Ours was a frog and frogs live in rainforests but also can be poisonous. They jump high and can stick to things." Kanzaki said of Double D's animal.
"Ours were a bunch of white rabbits. They jump high, but also burrow underground and are adorable." Fuwa said for Ed's animal, gushing at the mention of the bunnies along with the rest of the girls in class.
"And ours was a special rare insect that just freaks me out." Nakamura said for Eddy's animal, or insect.
"Uh huh. And what you can tell is similar to them." Korosensei asked the class.
The class thought on what he said but had a feeling it was either a trick question or not. Kayano decided to try to answer as she raised her hand to Koro Sensei.
"Yes, Kayano?" Koro Sensei said.
"Uh, they lived in the same forest?" Kayano answered with a nervous voice.
"And they also were from different animal groups?" Maehara asked.
"Correct. Those were the exact answers I was looking for. Well done." Koro Sensei said as his face turned to his red circle and held his tentacles in a circle as well.
"Exact answers? What do you mean by that?" Edric asked as he and the rest of the class were confused. A hush of silence filled the air as Koro Sensei went back to his yellow skin and lowered his tentacles slowly.
"What I meant is I wanted the entire class to become more open to you, Eds. To show that even though all your guys are odd to them, you still were welcomed as a student here in E-class. Even from a different part of the world, you still belonged here." Koro Sensei explained as he picked up their sheets of assigned paper. "It was clear from the beginning that the class wasn't as open to you, so I took it upon myself to separate you all to spend time with each other and learn something through this assignment."
"What do you mean 'learn', sir?" Double D asked.
"Like animals in a forest, we are all different, every single one of us. Some of us are turtles. Some of us are wolves. Some of us are birds but we all live in the same place. We are different in our own ways but we can still communicate to work together in harmony. Yes, there will be disputes and turfs, but that is a part of life. I created this assignment to show the whole class that you, Eds, fit in with us." Koro Sensei explained. "It was clear to me that not everyone was as open as I had hoped. I won't call any names but you know who you are."
Terasaka and his pals looked away from the teacher while Yada had her head down. She had a feeling that she was one of those people he was talking about.
"So I figured that spending some time together would show the class how each one of you works." Koro Sensei said, surprising everyone including the Eds. He then pointed at the Eds minus Ed. "You 4, step forward and face the class. Ed has to stay where he is though."
The three did as he said and faced the classroom from Koro Sensei as he stepped off to the side.
"Those in Ed's group. What can you tell me about him?" Koro Sensei said, waiting in anticipation. The class fell silent as Ed's group began to think about what they learned about him.
"Well, it's clear he's not the brightest." Kataoka bluntly said. "But he does seem cheerful when it comes to comics and manga."
"He also seems to be the strongest out of all of them since he literally broke through a tree to pet the rabbits out there" Nagisa said awkwardly. Korosensei nodded in acknowledgement as he then pointed at Double D.
"And what can Double D's group say about him?" Koro Sensei said next. The class fell silent again as Yada decided to break the ice.
"Well he's very smart and informative, though he sometimes says words that I don't understand." Yada answered, rubbing the back of her head.
"He also loves nature a lot but a bit too much." Kanzaki added, smiling.
"But he's also a crappy runner." Muramatsu mocked the smart Ed.
"It's true. Phys Ed..." Double said.
"What?" Ed said from outside.
"Not you, Ed." Double D tells Ed outside then looks back to the class. "...isn't my strong suit."
Koro Sensei nodded at the class's words and then pointed at Eddy.
"And what about good old Eddy boy?" Their teacher asked. The class fell silent again before Nakamura decided to go first.
"He's very adamant on money since he talked about selling Kurahashi's bug online to anyone wanting to sell their house for it" Nakamura said, giving a slight chuckle while Eddy smirked in admiration.
"He can also be very rude." Kurahashi said, still clinging to her jar.
"Ha! That's everything about you in a nutshell, huh Eddy?" Edric laughed as he crossed his arms while Eddy just grumbled in annoyance.
"But he's pretty cool and laid back so that's something good about him. Plus I admire someone with a love of money." Nakamura compliments Eddy, making the said Ed blush a little. Koro Sensei hummed in acknowledgement and then pointed towards Edric.
"And finally, what can you say about Edric?" Koro Sensei said.
The class stayed silent, Edric expected this would happen. He figured that no one wanted to say anything about him. He was used to it ever since he got this scar of his. As he hung his head low and sighed, someone spoke up first.
"Well, he does seem to care a lot about his friends." Edric lifted his head to see it was Kayano that spoke up.
"He always goes along with their shenanigans." Okano said in front of him.
"A bit perverted." Kayano said.
"And he seems like a nice guy, if you spend some time with him." Nagisa spoke too, even though he wasn't a part of Edric's group. Koro Sensei hummed in acknowledgement as he zoomed back to his podium.
"It's good to always branch out and make new friends, even if they may seem odd. There may be more to a person than you could ever believe. After all, one shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Not everything is made to be perfect for us. So we need to present ourselves, challenge ourselves, to try and learn from our mistakes. We try new things and make new friends. We challenge ourselves to be better than what society tells us how to act or feel. As with life, we must all meet new people and meet new goals, just like with accepting new students into our classroom. Even though the Eds are different from the rest of us, they are still your classmates. They are just like you all and you shouldn't outcast them already before you even get to know them. Judging things solely based on appearances is the wrong way to go about life." Koro Sensei lectures to the whole class as they're quiet in surprise at his words, the Eds most of all.

Everything around Edric froze and turned gray, breaking the 4th wall as he turned to the readers.
"Y'know, it feels weird when Koro Sensei says those words. No one had ever told anyone to be our friends nor seemed to make outcasts of us. Even if he is a teacher, those back Peach Creek didn't exactly open up to us much. But for some reason, his words made our spirits go higher a bit. I felt...happy again. Like when I first met the Eds. They didn't discriminate against me because of my eyes and scar. And he was doing the same thing. He may be an odd teacher but he seems to be a better one than any of the ones I had or the Eds have." Edric said, looking at his teacher even more in a new light.
"Here's a puzzler for you all. Say you were to assassinate someone that's been told to be evil. And when you come into contact with them, you see them doing a lot of good deeds around them. And that makes you wonder if you should kill them or not. Ask me this, do you simply base your opinions of them based on them doing these good deeds alone?" Koro Sensei asked the entire class. The class looked at each other as they weren't sure how to go about this kind of question. It seemed obvious but no one seemed brave enough to answer.
"Umm, I guess I would still want to find out about that person. I mean, if they are bad and I think they're good, then more people could die If I don't kill the killer." Isogai answered in a slightly nervous tone.
"Exactly, Isogai. Even though they may seem nice, it's always best to know the truth about them rather than base our opinions of them based on appearances alone. As with your new classmates, it's best to get to know them first before you base your opinions." Koro Sensei said as the class still fell quiet once again after hearing his words. Koro Sensei then turned his head back to the Eds, plus Ed outside. "So boys, even if the class didn't accept you wholeheartedly, how do you still feel about this classroom?"
Edric turned his attention back to Eddy and Double D as they did the same. Even though they didn't say anything, Edric knew what to say. He turned his attention back to Koro Sensei.
"It's an odd class, but I think its a class we're going to like being a part of." Edric said with his biggest smile.
"That's the spirit, Eric. Never let a few words of discouragement dictate how you feel about this class. Allow me to fully and truly welcome the 4 of you to E-class, The Assassination Classroom!" Koro Sensei said, his head turned back to his red circle face as hewelcome them once again. A few seconds passed before some of the students began to clap for their new classmates, until everyone, except Terasaka's group, clapped for their new friends then settled down. "Now, I think you all have had enough of today, so I think it's fair that you all leave class early"
The whole class cheered in excitement as they gathered their belongings, the Eds began to leave the room until Nagisa ran up to them.
"Hey guys, wait." Nagisa called out to which they all turned to face him.
"What's up?" Edric asked.
"Where are you guys heading to now?" Nagisa asked as some of the students paid attention.
"Well, we've got to head to the store to get talcum powder, cold cream, and giant bags of ice so we can get Ed un-blimpified." Edric listed off the items they needed. But he then had an idea and looked at the class. "Anyone know where we can find these things?"
"Here, we'll show you the way" Nagisa smiled as he walked in front of the Eds along some of the students.
They collected Ed from the blocks and most of the class began heading towards the city to fix Ed. All while this was going on, Koro Sensei looked out his window at the class walking away with their new classmates and couldn't help but smile.
"Look at them, walking away with their new classmates. Those 4 may be odd but I think they'll fit right in." Koro Sensei hummed before he flew from the window on Mach 20.

WHOOSH!
While the Eds held onto Ed by his shoe strings, they felt the sudden wind blow from Koro Sensei as he zoomed away.
"Man, I've got to get used to that." Eddy grumbled, rubbing his head in frustration.
"No kidding. It's still pretty hard to get used to." Nagisa said as he looked at the Eds but noticed that Edric seemed to be thinking very hard about something.
"Something on your mind, Edric?" asked Nagisa.
"Yeah, it's what Koro Sensei said in the class. I can't help but felt there's more to him than meets the eye." Edric said, making some of the class listen to him.
"Like what, Edric?" asked Double D.
"He's a crafty, smart teacher who seems to know a lot. But we don't know anything about him and his intentions, why destroying the Earth? What's he gaining from all of this? How do kill a mutant octopus clocked at Mach 20? How are we gonna spend our winning?" Edric said as he went off topic for a moment there.
"Yeah, yeah, we'll know when we get there." Eddy said, waving him off.
"But there's got to be a way, but there's so much unknown factors surrounding our teacher." Double D said, deep in thought. Then he got an idea for that moment. "I have the feeling we'll be doing a lot of assassination attempts. We're probably going to have to think of something to keep notes on about them."
"Like what?" Kayano asked. Double D was about to say until Ed interrupted.
"Oh, please scratch me. I am still so itchy." Ed said as he tried to scratch himself but his arms were too bloated for him to reach his body.
"We'll do that later. We need to get Ed back to Earth." Edric chuckled as he, the Eds, and E-class head out into town, all as one group.

Everything went gray around Edric again and frozed as he turned to the readers.
"This class is far from normal, but hey so are we. This may not be what we signed up for but it may be the thing that can help us. Only one way to find out. Go to class the next day and so on until we graduate."

(The scene showed the crescent moon as it zoomed out before it glitched showing Koro Sensei's face in its place. Lake Kiryu was showed as it panned up, Anti-Sensei rifle panning to the left, Anti-Sensei gun spun across the screen, and the EDsasssination Plan Journal panned downward. Back to the moon as glitched again, revealing the E-Class building.)

Eddy wore a white millionaire suit counting his money with Nakamura in an elegant dress having a drink. The Eds in whote silhouette were walking home passing by Kunugigaoka Junior High.)

The scene split vertically as Ed appeared, then Double D, Eddy, and Edric. Ed was in his monster costume as he rampaged on a city set while Fuwa recorded it on her phone. Changes to night as the moonlight shows a daisy sprouting from the ground.)

E-Class does their regular shooting on Koro Sensei as he dodges them on Mach 20. Koro Sensei flew across the ocean before he sped up close to the screen as he gave his signature laughter.)
