Reyna is taken aback by that. What? What does she desire? What does he mean by that? She continues to look into his eyes and she feels this growing compulsion, this need, to tell him what she wants. Before she could stop to think further she begins talking.
"I want you back. I- shush no no- I want you back home back with us!" She blurts, her face instantly going red. "W- We've been trying to get Lord Zeus to undo your banishment for the past few years and only now have we got him to relent on it. So we started searching for you to bring you back home! We miss you, all of us do. You were our friend, our brother in arms!"

DJ is clearly taken aback by this… He just sits there and blinks, trying to process it all. Even Lucifer himself is shocked. They both know she isn't lying, which only makes DJ even more confused.

"Wh-Who all is looking for me right now?" He asks her. He feels a little bad for how he just treated her.

"We all are: the rest of the seven, Clarisse, Nico, Will, even some gods, your father Lord Poseidon, Lord Hermes, Lord Apollo, and Lord Hades. We have all been looking for you ever since we got Zeus to take back his banishment."

DJ is nearly in tears, they- they were all looking for him? Because they want him back. Not to be a weapon but because he was their friend. But then a voice creeps into his mind, Sure they're trying now but why not sooner? Nico tried almost immediately! It took the rest of them nearly thirty years to even bother! The tears dry and his heart hardens. The voice is right. They only try now.
"I see," he says coldly, trying to figure out what the hell to do now. He can't just go back, no. No, he has a new life, new family, new friends. He may have leaves of absence from his bar from time to time, but he can't and won't just abandon the place.

"How did you find him?" Lucifer asks, taking a seat next to his son and handing him a glass which he instantly downs.

"You helped a half-blood recently, Pe- DJ. Helped them find camp. Even paid for their cab fare to get there. We heard the description. Green eyes, black hair. Had to have been you, so we searched LA all day till I just now found you," she says, now feeling more confident.
"Told you! You should have gone with a new eye color," Luci says, eyeing his son who gives him a small glare.
"If I may… Who are you? And when did you, uh… become DJ's father? And what about Poseidon?" She asks the Devil himself.
"Me? Well I'm Lucifer Morningstar! Yes yes, I am devilishly good looking and the, well, Devil. But I have a feeling you got that point already," he says, eyeing her as he slightly tilts his head like an owl looking at a mouse. This makes Renya sink back into the chair, images of his devil form flashing again in her mind.
"So you're the biblical devil and you're also Percy's father? How, why, what about Poseidon." What fear she had, she very impressively manages to push down and hide as she straightens her posture and speaks in a calm, neutral tone. Lucifer is actually impressed at this girl's strength and mental fortitude. He eyes his son, seeing what it is he wants to do here. DJ shares a look with his father.
"There are many questions in this world that one wishes were answered. However, you don't always get answers for those questions," DJ says, leaning back, thinking and looking at the ceiling.

'What the hell even am I at this point?' DJ asks himself in his mind. "Do the others know where I am? Have you told them?" He then asks. Reyna shakes her head.
"Thank Gramps for that," he says, rubbing his face. Is he ready for this? Does he want to do this? Confront them all? Go back there?
"Gramps? As in God God?" Reyna asks, narrowing her eyes at DJ.
"Yes, exactly, dear old dad! His, well, newish Grandfather, let me say he very well approves of it. Minus the devil form maybe," Lucifer says with a slight shrug.

"Devil what?" She asks, only to be cut off by DJ.
"Don't ask, trust me Rey, you don't want to see it or know of it. DJ is a nickname by the way, not my real name. But I have to figure out if I like you enough to tell you what it stands for and what my real name is now."

DJ doesn't see it as he is still looking at the ceiling, but his father does. He sees a look of pain in her eyes at him saying that. 'Well now what's that about?' He asks himself with a smirk on his face. Perhaps there's hope yet for his prudish son.
"So!" Lucifer claps, "What now, DJ? Want me to give her the boot?" He asks, looking at his son. But there's no reaction as he just stares up at the ceiling. He taps his shoulder trying to get his attention, now slightly concerned.

"DJ? Buddy? Hello, you in there?" He asks with a small chuckle to try and hide his concern, he's never like this. After a deep breath his son stands up and goes over to the window and just stares out at the lights of LA. There is now a cigarette in his hand and Lucifer can smell that intoxicating smell of cookies from the smoke.
"Right now… Right now what I want Rey is for you to leave. I ask that you don't tell anyone I'm here, but I know how you all are and that you know I can't stop you. Well I can only hope you don't. Giv- " he stops and takes a dragging breath, collecting his nerves and thoughts. "Give me a few days, Rey.

Luci notices that his son is staring, more so at his reflection than anything else. His devil form. No surprise, that bout of anger sure would fish it up to the surface now wouldn't it. Luci does regret that part of his rebirth. Honestly, he didn't think it would happen. But it was clear out of all the things DJ got from him, that damned form is what he hates the most.
"Pe- sorry DJ. Are you sure?" She asks, which makes the both of them stop and look at her.
"What do you mean?" Luci asks, narrowing his eyes at her, confused. DJ remains silent as he stares at her.

"I- I heard you sing down there in the bar," her face begins to get a little red and she has to stop and compose herself. Luci spares a half glance at his son, who seems a fair bit embarrassed himself.

"And the emotion you had there it- it was. A lot and I'm sorry, I can tell you're still hurt about everything and for what it's worth. I- I'm sorry. We should have acted sooner, we shouldn't have abandoned you like that, it was wrong. But we miss you DJ. You mean so much to us all, and we do genuinely want you back. But take your time. When you're ready you know where to find us. You have my word I won't tell anyone," she says, getting up and going over to the elevator. DJ's eyes never leave her, the cigarette forgotten as it falls from his lips.

Before the doors can close, she does add, "It was good to see you again DJ. I hope I get to see more of my friend and the man that he has become." And with that the doors close and DJ falls to the ground, tears streaming from his eyes as he silently cries.
"D-DJ!" His father yells as he runs to him and holds him.

Time skip

One week has gone by since DJ's old life quite literally walked into his bar, and it has been rough. Many a sleepless night, far too much alcohol, and heaps of self wallowing and pity. But for the moment he puts on a happier face as he approaches the door and knocks. He only has to wait a few moments before the door swings open and he is tackled into a hug, which he of course returns.
"Hey there Rabbit, how you doing?" He asks his kinda-sister Trixie.

"Oh my god DJ, will you ever stop calling me that? I'm in my forties!" The woman says, unable to stop laughing.
"Never ever, Rabbit. Never ever," he says, with his signature grin as he walks into the house. "Anyone else here yet?" He asks, taking his shoes off. He's in very casual clothing, a concept that wholly escapes his father. But for DJ, sometimes there's nothing better than a pair of joggers and a nice t-shirt.
"Aside from Mom, not yet," Trixie says from behind him.
"Who is it, Trixie?" DJ hears Chloe call.
"Speak of the devil," he says, making his way to the kitchen, "Good afternoon Detective. Need a hand with anything?"
"Oh no DJ, but thank you. Should have known it was you, unlike the rest of the family you always show up at least close to when you're suppos-" she slows to a near complete stop and DJ rolls his eyes and looks over.
"Really Uncle, must you do that every time you come down here?" He asks, looking at his Uncle Amenadiel who just smirks at him and time resumes.
"-ed… Oh Amenadiel. When did… Course you did. Bring Linda with you?" Chloe rolls her eyes.
"Yep! Right here," the doctor says, smiling.
"Charles going to make it?" DJ asked, looking for the missing individual.
"Unfortunately not, he is preoccupied. He sends his wishes and apologies, however," Linda says, DJ nods.
"Is Alaska coming?'' Of all the things to go wrong, he may actually kill someone if he can't at least see his younger sister. His uncle shares a look of concern with him and everyone picks up on the tension starting to radiate off him.
"To my knowledge she is, yeah," the detective says. He nods and sighs and mutters out an apology.
"You ok, DJ?" His uncle asks, his voice gentle.
"Was a rough week, I'm… just a rough week is all," DJ replies, but it's clear there's more to it than that.
"DJ, if you want to talk, I'm here. We're all here for you," his uncle says, putting a soft hand on his shoulder and this does in fact seem to relax the man.
"Thank you… I may take you up on that offer later," he says, looking at Amenadiel.
"Wow, what the hell did I walk into?" Came an all-too familiar voice that never fails to make DJ smile. His sister Aurora.
"Hey Alaska, we were just talking about you," he says, going over and hugging her, which surprised her.
"You okay, bro? I mean you're usually a sad-sack, but this is… Are you good?" She asks with real concern.
"Ya ya, I'm fine, just…. Thinking of doing something really really fucking stupid," he says, rubbing his nose. Amenadiel takes a moment and thinks before his eyes widen and DJ knows that he's realized what he's thinking of.
"I- uh. Hm, well I don't think I should stay for dinner. I'll bring the mood down, but I just…" He swallows, taking a deep breath, "I wanted to see you all before I- before I commit to this. I- I know with dad, and Uncle Am they're a… a hop, skip and a prayer away, but…" He sniffs, trying his best not to cry, "The rest of you all just. You mean a lot to me and-"
"DJ. You're not saying goodbye, are you?" Trixie asks. Goodbye wasn't a word in his dictionary; he hated that word.
"Goodbye? Rabbit, don't kid yourself you think you'll be rid of the Devil Junior so easily? No no no. Just this absence of mine might… take a bit longer and I don't know who- I don't know when I'll be coming back as is all. So I just wanted to see my family again. And just tell them I- I love them," he says softly, not able to look anyone in the eyes as tears begin to form. Amenadiel begins to say something, only for the sound of flapping wings and the lingering scent of sea salt to leave him speechless.
"Bro?" Aurora asks, nearly in tears herself. But he's gone.
