"Are you free this Sunday?"
"Um, I might be. Why?"
"I'd like to ask you out?"
"Out , as in a date? Sohma-kun?"
"Something like that. Well, can you make it?" Sohma Yuki smiled to Tohru.
"I guess so. Should we ask Kyo and Momiji along?"
"I don't know. If you wish. But I really want to spend time with you alone."
Honda Tohru blushed her brightest pink. "But why?"
"S-E-C-R-E-T." Yuki held his index finger to his mouth and whistled softly. With that, he moved away gracefully from his desk, and said. "Let's go home, shall we?"
"Okay." Tohru took her bag and she start to walk out of the classroom, with Yuki, a gentleman as always, waited for her to exit the classroom before closing the door after him.
As the two walked home, Yuki suddenly said, "Where's that cat?"
"You mean Kyo? He said he couldn't wait for us because he wants to visit Kazuma-san. It was something about Kazuma-san's birthday." she replied.
"Sensei's birthday?" Yuki thought for a while. "Oh no. Well, I'll go visit sensei with a belated birthday gift next week then. It's too late now."
"Yup." Tohru grinned. "Next week. Can I tag along?"
Yuki, surprised, stammered, "S-sure. I'm sure sensei will be pleased to see you."
"What say we get a present for sensei this Sunday?" Tohru suggested.
He replied, "Of course we can. Are you sure that you have nothing on this Sunday?"
"Um, yeah, pretty sure. There's no work or anything on Sunday. So I'll be going with you." Tohru replied. "On a date" she finished the sentence in her mind. Then she started blushing again.
Yuki nodded in reply.
They continued walking until they walked past Yuki's secret base.
"Strawberries!" Tohru squealed happily as they paused to look at the vegetation.
"They'll be ready in a few days time." Yuki informed her with friendliness.
"Oh my god. I'm so thrilled. The strawberries are so cute. I almost can't bear to imagine eating them. But they must be very delicious."
Yuki smiled gently at Tohru, and whispered very very very softly, "But not as cute as you."
"Huh, Sohma-kun, did you say something?" Tohru looked up from gazing at the crops.
"Uh, n-no." Yuki said in shocked, trying to divert the topic, he pointed to the Shigure's house, "It's getting late, let's go, Tohru."
"Hai!"
Tohru Honda, does she know how much I like her? Sohma Yuki thought to himself as he saw the happy girl walking beside him.
