Everything changed one day when all these random cards started raining down everywhere in every corner of the world.
Interested in this new discovery, many kids online worked together to create a new game called Bakugan.
That's when the power of the cards came to life. Every card had a beast inside that came to life when you throw it down.
But little did anyone know it would lead to something bigger than they could ever imagine.
A moving van was through the city as it came to a stop in front of a house.
Stepping out of the van was a boy with spiky black hair. He had fair-colored skin; he was wearing a silver leather jacket with red accents on them as well as black chaps with a whip attached to the right side and finally a pair of white sneakers. The boy didn't seem too happy at all, the boy's name is Judai Yamato, and he and his family had just moved.
"So this is our new home. Why did dad and mom have to open the shop here?" Judai said, bored out of his mind as he petted his companion, which his family adopted during one of their trips around the world.
The said companion was a relatively tame, friendly wolf named Buster, who the family had permission to take care of.
"You have anything better to do than petting Buster, Judai?" a girl's voice said.
Judai turned around to see his younger sister. She was only 2 years younger than him. She had long black hair that went down to her back. She wore a black t-shirt with white shorts. Her name was Evangaline Yamato, or Eva for short.
"Touche." Judai smiled as he got up. "But still, I don't see the use for an archaeology shop in this town?" Judai asked
"To tell you the truth, I agree. Mom and dad must be crazy thinking anyone would come here. I think a Bakugan shop would have been a better idea to drum up business." Eva said.
Judai just snorted, thinking how messed up that was but he could see her point. "As messed up and unethical as that sounds, you're right. That would give us more money until we're forced to move again." Judai smiled.
"I'm tired of moving, I know we are a family of Archaeologists and scientists, but I have to keep leaving all the friends I made behind every time," Eva said.
"How do you think me and poor Buster feel?" Judai asked as he pointed at Buster, who nodded
"Well, take it up with Dad and Mom. By the way, how's your girlfriend doing?" Eva teased.
Judai blushed and glared. "Chan Lee isn't my girlfriend. She's my pen pal, and so is Alice."
Judai then started walking out the door. "I'm going to go explore the town. Let's go, Buster." Judai called out to Buster, who was excited as he rushed to Judai
"Can I come too? I want to see if I can find some people to battle too." Eva asked.
"Didn't mom tell you that you still have work to do?" Judai smirked
"I hate this. I have to do stupid work while you're free to go out and maybe have a Bakugan Battle." Eva pouted.
"Sorry, sis, maybe next time." Judai smiled as he ran out of their new house with Buster running after him.
Judai and Buster were currently in the park. Luckily, Judai had the papers to show the authorities that his family owns Buster, much to Buster's dismay after an earlier incident with a police officer.
"What, Buster?" Judai asked as Buster gave him the look. "You know to most people. You're a dangerous animal. My family has these papers for a reason, you know." Judai said in his defense as Buster turned his head and walked ahead of him.
After walking, both of them stopped by a bench with Judai sitting down and Buster laying on his stomach resting.
"Hey, you!" a boy's voice called out to them. Judai and Buster looked up and saw who disturbed their relaxation. It was some kid who was a bit hefty, he had short dark spiky hair and was wearing a vest over a white shirt along with some yellow shorts, also with him was a pint-sized kid with red hair that was covered by a baseball cap, he was wearing a green shirt and gray shorts
"You're new here, aren't you?" the kids asked. "Well, you and that rabies-infected mutt should know this is my park."
Buster growled, but Judai petted him, which Buster calmed down. "What do you mean your park, this park belongs to the city."
"Shut it, kid. You don't understand that my brother Shuji is the master of Bakugan and master of this park." the short kid said.
Judai scowled. 'Not even a day in this town, and I'm getting harassed.' Judai thought.
Buster meanwhile continued growling at them, But Judai petted him, calming him down. "Easy there boy," Judai told Buster soothing him as he calmed down before looking at the two kids. "All right, what do you want?" Judai asked
"Like my brother Akira said, I'm the master of Bakugan and master of this park, and if you are a battler, then I take pleasure in wiping you out," Shuji said.
Judai just blinked before laughing. "Oh my god, that must be the funniest thing I ever heard, right Buster," Judai said as he continued laughing as Buster also howled, amused by the idiot in front of him.
"Why are you laughing? I know you are scared of losing to me." Shuji said in anger.
"Back off, Shuji, no one is scared of your threats." a voice said as they all turned to see a brown-haired boy wearing goggles over his eyes, he was wearing a short red overcoat with black pockets over a bright yellow sleeveless shirt as well as long red trousers with black stripes just below his knees.
"Dan?! This is none of your business, so get lost," Shuji said.
"Hey kid, are you having trouble?" Dan asked.
"Dan from the Bakugan Brawlers, I've heard of you," Judai said in surprise; he wasn't expecting to see one of the Bakugan Brawlers back then; he wasn't interested in Bakugan battles but hearing about them and meeting his pen pal Chan Lee had gotten him to love Bakugan.
"It's nice to see I have a fan," Dan smirked.
"You're currently ranked in the 200's," Judai said bluntly, causing Dan to fall anime-style
"Yeah, I'm still working on my ranking," Dan said, getting up. "What rank are you?"
"I'm not even ranked, as I've never battled before." Judai admitted' "But, I did know some people who got me into Bakugan."
"Why don't I teach in this battle? I can show you some of my old tricks, and if you're lucky, I won't even charge ya." Dan said.
Judai smiled. "You're on, but if I win using the method that my friends teach me, you have to visit my parents boring shop that just opened in town."
"Well, I'm not a fan of boring stuff, but you'll win. Shuji is more a practice dummy than anything." Dan said, agreeing to Judai's deal.
"Practice dummy?! Oh, you'll both pay!" Shuji said in anger.
"I'm sorry." Judai smiled as he turned to Buster. "Did you hear something, No? Must be the wind." further angering Shuji and making Dan snicker at how angry Shuji is getting.
"I think you and I will get along just fine," Dan said.
"Agree. I'm Judai. My family just moved here." Judai said before pointing to Buster. "And this is Buster, and he's our family's wolf. We adopted him during one of our trips."
"I thought he was just an oddly colored German shepherd," Dan said. "But cool, it's time to brawl, Judai."
"Yeah," Judai shouted.
"Field Open." Both Judai and Shuji shouted as time stood still, and they were transported to another dimension.
"Gate Card Set." Both Brawlers shouted as they threw their gate cards opposite of each other.
Judai-3 Bakugan
Shuji-3 Bakugan
"Go for Judai." Dan said.
"Right," Judai said as he picked a Bakugan. "Bakugan Brawl" he shouted as he threw it on his Gate Card. "Stand Pyrus Siege!"
A Red-Colored cape-wearing knight wielding a lance appeared
Pyrus Siege enters battle at 330gs
"I'm not scared of that Bakugan, Bakugan Brawl!' Shuji shouted as he threw his Bakugan on the card. " Subterra Centipoid stand!"
At that point, a brown-colored centipede with pincers appeared facing Siege
Subterra Centipoid enters Battle at 340gs
Almost immediately, the centipede went on the attack with Siege defending the attack with his staff.
"You really think you could beat me with brute force, do you? Big mistake. Gate card open." Judai declared as the gate card revealed itself to be Siege's Character Card
Pyrus Siege power level doubles from 330 to 660gs
Suddenly, Pyrus Siege glowed red with power before slashing Centipoid, reverting him to ball form, returning him to Shuji in defeat as Siege goes to Jaden in victory.
Judai-3 Bakugan
Shuji-2 Bakugan
"Alright, 1 down, 2 more to go." Judai said, "Gate Card Set! He shouted as he threw it to the left of Shuji's card.
"Bakugan Brawl," Judai shouted. "Stand, Ventus Ravenoid!" throwing it on Shuji's card this time
All of a sudden, a raven-like humanoid appeared and soared into the air.
Ventus Ravenoid enters battle at 350gs
"You're using a different type of Bakugan? I would have thought I would have a Haos or Aquos Bakugan to go with it." Dan said as he remembered the Triangle of Power.
"Don't worry Dan. It's all part of the plan," Judai said, coming up with multiple ways for a counter but came up with the most fun way for him,
"Come on Shuji, get your head in the game!" Akira exclaimed.
"Shut up Akira. I know what I'm doing." Shuji countered
"Yeah, I could hear dumb and dumber arguing." Judai smiled.
"No, Shuji would be dumbest." Dan corrected him.
"You make a great point there." Judai smiled.
"That's it, wise guy." Shuji roared. "Bakugan Brawl. Throwing it to where Ravenoid was. "Stand Subterra Gargonoid!"
Appearing was a light-brown gargoyle who opened his wings ready for battle, screeching as he started down Ravenoid, ready for battle, though Jaden had other plans for that.
Subterra Gargonoid enters battle at 350gs
"Ability Activate! Blow Away!" Judai shouted as Subterra Gargonoid was blown to Judai's Gate Card
"Wise guy, huh?" Shuji asked. "Bakugan Brawl Stand Subterra Mantris!"
A light brown colored mantis with sharp scythes on its forearms appeared appeared
Subterra Mantis enters battle at 350gs
"The more Bakugan you have on the field doesn't mean a guaranteed victory." Judai said, already coming up with a strategy for victory.
"Gate card open." Shuji shouted as the environment turned into a desert
Mantris power level increase detected 350gs-400gs
Mantris slashed Ravenoid reverting back to ball form and being sent to Judai in defeat, while Mantris returns to Shuji.
Judai-2 Bakugan
Shuji-2 Bakugan
"Alright," Judai said as he took hold of a Darkus Bakugan. "Let's go, Bakugan Brawl Nillious stand. Throwing him on the gate card where Subterra Gargonoid was.
Appearing was a two-headed dragon with mechanical-looking wings that almost looked like turbines.
Darkus Nillious enters battle at 380gs, opposing Bakugan Subterra Gargonoid has 350gs, Nillious in lead
"Whoa! Have you ever seen a Bakugan like him, Drago?" Dan asked his partner.
"No, never," Drago said
"Gate Card open Triple Battle!" Judai shouted. As Shuji's Mantris was forced to enter battle
Mantris enters battle combining power levels with ally Garganoid for 700gs, Nillious's power level at 380gs
After seeing the score, Shuji wasn't worried at all.
"Hahaha, that weakling is no match for both Garaganoid and Mantris." Shuji said.
Judai just smiled. "Oh I won't be too sure. "Ability Activate Reversal!"
Nillious then had an aura of darkness around him before something happen
Power Level switch confirmed, Nillious at 700gs, both Mantris and Gargonoid now at 380gs
"No way! How can any Bakugan have an ability like that?" Akira said in shock.
Nillious then fired blasts of dark energy from both maws, taking them both out.
Judai-2 Bakugan
Shuji-0 Bakugan
Winner Judai.
All of a sudden, the dimension returned back to normal as time came undone.
"Hey, Nillious are you alright?" Judai asked. "I'm sorry that had to be done."
Nillious didn't say anything but grunted
"How did you beat my brother so easily?" Akira said in shock.
"This isn't over, kid. Just wait until the tournament. You'll be sorry." Shuji said as he and Akira ran, Judai and Dan could hear him say. "And he didn't beat me, Akira. I let him win."
"Nice job. With skills like that, I'm surprised you haven't even ranked yet. You could be in the top 10 with those skills." Dan said.
"Thanks," Judai said before smirking. "Now deal, a deal."
"I always keep my promises," Dan said. "By the way, is your partner ok?"
"Nillious, "This always happens whenever I use the Reversal ability, it's a great chance for a counterattack, but Nillious has to rest for at least 5 days." Judai said
"Can any Bakugan use it, or is it just limited to him?" Dan asked.
"I don't want to risk the chance, but whenever I battle with Nillious, even in my mind, I just have a feeling that he could withstand it." Judai said
"I'm sure he will one day. You two just have to keep practicing," Dan said.
"Yeah. Let's go, Buster, let's take our new friend to see our house." Judai smiled as he and Buster raced to their house as Dan raced with them.
After a while, Judai and Buster, along with Dan, made it, and Judai found that his parents had finished setting up the shop and Eva was inside.
"Hey Eva, how were you?" Judai smirked
"Not so good. I've been helping them set up all morning. You could have at least helped us." Eva frowned.
"Could've but didn't. You know I already did my job." Judai countered
"But she's right, honey. It wouldn't have taken us this long if you pitched in.' A young woman's voice called out.
"Oh dear god, What do you want from me?" Judai cried out. "I mean, who in the world would ever shop here?"
"Some people don't appreciate artifacts or science." The woman said she was both Judai and Eva's mother. Lucy Yamato looked like an older Eva but with dark red hair and was wearing a purple dress with white shoes.
"Gee, I wonder why?" Eva snarked as she rolled her eyes with both Judai and Buster smirking, though in Buster's case, it was more like a grin
"Don't talk to your mother like that, kids. Culture is what separates us from the animals. No offense, Buster.'' Their father had black hair and was wearing a white t-shirt with jeans and some brown leather boots. You could have mistaken him for a construction worker rather than a scientist or archaeologist. His name was Shin Yamato.
Buster was looking at their father after that comment with a "What did you say?" look.
"I'm sorry, boy, I should have chosen my words more carefully," Shin said as petted Buster gently, who smirked and puffed up his chest in pride. "I know you aren't an animal, you are a member of our family, and nothing will change that."
"Yeah, about that, if you do go on another trip, get papers to adopt a komodo Dragon as well," Eva said, causing Buster to glare at her.
"Now, Eva, Buster is more than enough for now," Lucy said before looking at Dan. "A customer? What brings you to our lovely shop?"
"More like our shop of junk," Eva muttered, with Judai trying to stop himself from laughing.
"One more quip and you are on shop duty for a week, young lady." her father warned.
"And we all know how she was last time," Judai said
"Yeah, coming from someone who left us to do all that work." Eva countered.
"At least I know how to care for people's needs, and Buster could actually be great at doing shop duty." Judai countered as Buster once again puffed up his chest in pride
"Yeah, what do you do? Threaten people by putting whipped cream on his lips and forcing people to pay so they won't catch rabies?" Eva said.
"You know what, me and my new friend will chill in my room. Is that good with you?" Judai asked.
"Yes, the shop's still not ready to open anyway. And me and your mother still have to get the paperwork ready for you and Eva to go to school." Shin said.
"Wait, what?" Judai asked. "I'm homeschooled, and we were tutored." Judai countered
"You and your sister need to be more social with kids your age. Besides, you spend too much time in your room anyway," Lucy said.
"Fine, I'll try." Judai groaned before turning to Dan. "Let's go upstairs. My room's that way."
Meanwhile, Judai, along with Buster and Dan, were in his room, which looked pretty nice. There was a video game system as well as some model kits of mecha as well as figurines of various monsters and even a computer on a desk. There was even a personal cooler that held drinks.
"Woah, this is some cool stuff. Your whole family are Archaeologists?" Dan asked as he looked at a poster of Indian Jones, who had his whip over his head.
"That as well as scientists," Judai added as he got on his computer and turned it on. "You have some friends?" Judai asked Dan
"Of course, there's Runo, Marucho, Julie, Alice, and Shun," Dan answered.
"Alice? Couldn't be, can it?" Judai thought as he logged on to the Bakugan website to check his rank after his first battle.
"Why do you ask? You don't have any friends?" Dan asked.
"My family has to move a lot due to jobs a lot, so we usually leave any friends I made behind, even our childhood friends," Judai explained before petting Buster. "During one of those trips, we met Buster."
"I've been meaning to ask, how did you guess adopt a wolf anyway? Not being rude, Buster, you are cool." Dan said.
"That's a long story. I think I was around 8 and me and a girl named Alice encountered an injured wolf who we nursed back to health one day." Judai said.
"That's coincidently us both having friends called Alice," Dan said. "So what happened after you treated Buster."
"Eventually, our relatives found out the truth, and as expected, they were furious, but after we told them the reason, they calmed down, and Alice managed to convince my parents to sign papers to legally own him, and he made a full recovery," Judai explained.
"That's nice. I'm happy you have a loyal friend like Buster." Dan said. "I see you are an Indian Jones fan."
"Yeah, to tell you the truth, I wasn't really a fan of what my parents do at first. I'm more interested in the supernatural, and I still am, to be honest, " Judai explained as he checked his rank to be 345 after that one battle, and that battle everyone was talking about him already. "Woah, looks like I'm already the talk on this website."
"With the skills you showed, of course, they would," Dan smirked.
"Well, I'll be going to get some snacks if you want. You could talk to your friends on my PC if you like," Judai said as he left the room to get some snacks.
"Sure, I bet they are on right now because of the video," Dan said as typed his password in. Suddenly 4 people appeared on the screen.
"Hey Dan, you've seen the new battler?" Marucho asked.
"Yeah, I did. I met the guy, and I'm even in his house. Really nice guy," Dan said, shocking all of them.
"Really, what's he like? Is he handsome? What's his favorite Bakugan?" Julie asked
"Well, I guess in order, he's chill and friendly and has a nice sense of humor. Maybe, and he calls that Bakugan Nillious." Dan answered.
"I've never seen a Bakugan like that, and I checked out the ranking. He's just got added?" Runo asked.
"According to him, he did meet someone who got him into Bakugan," Dan replied
"And he only just started playing. He could have been in the higher ranks like Shun, Klaus, Chan Lee, and the other players." Marucho said.
"Still no word on Shun, huh? Probably still brooding like always." Dan said.
Meanwhile, Buster was just staring at Dan, bored out of his mind, as he put his paw on his leg, getting his attention.
"What's wrong, Buster? You bored?" Dan asked.
"Buster? Dan, who are you talking to?" Runo asked.
Drago then came out. "Apparently, the owners of this house are a family of scientists and archaeologists, and Buster is the name of the wolf living with them," Drago explained.
"Wolf? Can it be?" Alice thought
"Wolf? They keep a wolf as a pet. They must be a weird family." Julie said.
Buster gave a look that told Julie. "You're not wrong about that."
"Buster?" Alice uttered, getting his attention before staring straight at Alice before howling in excitement.
Almost immediately, Judai returned to his room with instant ramen wondering what Buster was doing. "Buster, why are you howling?" before taking out a drink from his personal cooler.
"Judai?" Alice called out.
"Alice, is that you?" Judai asked. "No wonder Buster was howling so much."
"Oh, so our Alice was the old friend you were talking about," Dan said.
"Yeah, we used to work with her grandfather before moving," Judai explained before turning to Buster. "And Buster here sees Alice as his angel for saving him."
"Yes, but that would make you the devil. You haven't been contacting me as of late." Alice frowned.
"Alright, point taken, that was selfish of me," Judai said as he smirked as he petted Buster, who was still lovestruck after seeing Alice.
"So, how's the old man doing? Bet he's still working on the secret project in his lab?" Judai asked.
"Grandfather… well… Grandfather is missing," Alice said sadly.
"Seriously," Judai said, shocked as he dropped the unopened drink he grabbed from his personal cooler.
"Yes, I have no idea where he has gone, there's been a search, but they're going to call it off soon," Alice said.
"Alice, I'm so sorry," Judai said. "God dammit, Mom and Dad will be shocked to hear this."
"No, don't. I don't want them to worry," Alice said.
"But do you have a place to go?" Judai asked. "If not, you can come to live with my family for a bit until they find him.'
"Thanks, Judai, I'll see to that," Alice said as he turned off the computer.
"So you knew Alice's grandfather?" Marucho asked.
"Yes, my parents worked with him for a while. But I'm shocked to hear he has gone missing. He's the only family she's got left." Judai said.
"She's alone. We're here for her too, like you are, Judai." Dan said.
"Yes, we'll help Alice through this," Julie added.
"Yeah." Both Marucho and Runo said.
"Thanks, guys," Judai said.
Meanwhile, in an unknown hyperspace, a figure of a dragon surrounded by a purple sphere as a human man who was wearing clothes that almost resembles that of a gentleman's thief, but his face resembles a ghoul. The dragon bowed its head slightly as purple lightning surged into the man's palm before forming a ball of negative energy.
"Finally, the Silent Orb is complete. Now all Bakugan will bow to me!" the man cackled.
Moments later, in the doom dimension, a dark realm where many Bakugan met their ends. Among the many broken statues of Bakugan, a red orb rose out. Not soon after, many orbs of different colors as they began together as they formed a red sphere, and in a flash of light, it exploded as the silhouette of a dragon appeared before, flexing its wings as it flew up towards a portal in the sky.
The next day, both Judai and Eva were walking back from their first day of school back home.
"Geez, school was so exhausting, and our parents probably have that awful shop ready for business when I get back," Judai said to Eva
"Everything you do is exhausting, besides school wasn't really bad. I've made some new friends, and I'm going to play Bakugan with them later." Eva said.
Judai just snorted. "This coming from the girl who earlier said, "But I don't want to go to school," Judai said in a girly voice.
"Whatever, I'm enjoying it while I can until we move again for the millionth time, so you should as well?" Eva said.
"True, you have a point," Judai smirked to himself.
Suddenly a flash of light blinded them, forcing both to cover their eyes. Suddenly, a red Bakugan appeared as it bounced towards Judai's feet.
"What? A Bakugan," Judai said as he picked up the Bakugan.
"I've never seen a Bakugan like that before," Eva said.
The Bakugan opened up and looked around while on Judai's palm.
"Hello there, what's your name?" Judai asked the unknown Bakugan.
"My name is Leonidas, and where am I?" Leonidas asked.
"Planet Earth," Eva answered.
"Not in Vestroia then?" Leonidas said.
"Hey, you want to be partners since you just arrived? I can help you get used to it here." Judai asked.
Leonidas was weighing his options, but in the end, he agreed with them. "Sure." Leonidas agreed. "I can sense that in this world, I will unleash my true power in these Bakugan Battles."
"Lucky you get a cool talking Bakugan!" Eva pouted.
"Don't worry. I'm sure you'll get one soon," Judai said as he patted her head.
"Stop that! I'm not Buster!" Eva smacked his hand away. With Judai laughing.

The Harem will mostly stay the same with minor adjustments.
Reversal is an ability that could be used by all attributes and will be the signature ability of both Leonidas and Nillious in this story. However unlike Nillious, Leonidas will be able to use it without consequences while for Nillious, just one use forces him to rest for at least 3-5 days.
