I don't own Bakugan

An airplane just landed at the airport in Wardington and when the passengers were getting out of the airport, among them was a young man, he had gold eyes with white pupils, and had shaggy reddish-brown hair, he was wearing a long Sleeved grey dress shirt, as well as a closed red vest with green borders. over it he wore a black trench coat with gold borders. he has navy pants and white boots with black lines

"Well it's great to be here." the young man said, before grinning showing his pronounced canines. "I hope my sister Alice is doing fine."

Meanwhile, at the same time, Judai and Eva were at Runo's house having some lunch with Dan, since Runo's house is also a restaurant, and decided to go there for lunch.

"So she's going to meet her brother?" Dan asked, surprised she even had a brother Alice always made it seem like she was an only child.

"Alice doesn't like to talk about her childhood that much," Judai said as he drank from his glass of water. "From what her brother Wolf told me. She has an estranged relationship with their mother over custody."

"Custody huh? That must sound like a messed up childhood." Runo said as she brought their sandwiches out to them.

"Probably, I never met her mother but from what Wolf told us, she used to be kind but when her husband died she started to change and became abusive," Judai explained.

Eva took a bite of her sandwich before speaking. "I have to say, I kinda feel bad for her. I mean she did turn abusive and mean, but tragedy can change people."

"Yeah, she's right about that. I mean I don't know what would happen if I lost my parents or any of you." Runo added.

"Still the fact that she wanted custody of her children suggests that she might still have cared for her children especially Alice despite how abusive she was towards her," Judai said as he was deep into thinking.

"Any mother would care for her children even if they changed, but it's up to them to try to fix what they had broken." They turned to see Runo's mom walking towards them.

"You're right," Judai said before paying for his meal and leaving while Eva still wasn't done eating.

"You coming home, maid?" Judai asked.

"I think I'm going to hang around with Dan and Runo for a bit longer. Maybe I can fit in a few battles before I go home." Eva said, taking a sip of soda.

"Whatever, I'm going to see Alice and we're going to the museum that Wolf's helping open up," Judai said. "You're going to miss it, you three."

"I've been to the museum before, and it put me to sleep," Dan said. "I prefer an amusement park."

"Eva, you didn't tell them what Wolf was studying?" Judai said as he left the door.

"That's your job, Judie," Eva called out.

"Why what's Alice's brother been studying?" Drago asked.

"Bakugan," Eva answered, surprising them before she took another bite of her sandwich.

"Dan, we have to go to that museum." Drago insisted

"I concur, my lady," Tigrerra said

"Alright, anything with Bakugan you can count me in," Dan said.

"I can't. I have a shift today." Runo said sadly.

"Nonsense Runo, you can go with your friends. There aren't many customers today." her mom said.

"Thanks, mom, ok let's go," Runo said as Eva finished her meal, and all three were out the door.

Judai rendezvous with Alice and were heading towards the museum.

"So Alice….You feeling okay? Cause Wolf's the only member of your family who you interacted with besides your mother." Judai asked.

"Judai, You know I don't like to talk about her," Alice said in a distant tone.

"I'm sorry if it wasn't for both your brother as well as your aunt and grandfather you'll still be in her custody," Judai said

"Just drop it Judai, come on let's go see Wolf," Alice said as she began to walk away.

'Smooth Judai, real smooth.' Judai thought he shouldn't have mentioned Alice's mother at all.

As they were walking, Dan, Runo and Eva caught up with them.

"Hey guys, you actually came," Judai said.

"One word about Bakugan and they came running," Eva said.

"So Alice, you have a brother? You never mentioned it to us." Dan said.

"Never really crossed my mind, sorry about that. Wolf's sweet you all will get along fine." Alice smiled.

"Why is he studying the Bakugan?" Drago asked.

"Because of various ruins that show their existence on earth before as well as events that correlate to them in the past," Alice explained.

"So they have been on earth even before?" Dan asked.

"Yes, like Alice said, ruins, cave paintings, and even ancient texts speak of them, in fact, most of our folklore is based on the Bakugan," Eva answered.

"Wow, that's amazing," Runo commented.

"As for how they got here is still a mystery," Judai added. 'I wonder if Wolf found more information about that event?'

The group finally made it to the museum, where they saw Alice's brother Wolf helping with taking the new exhibits into the museum.

"Alright take them in gently," Wolf told the museum workers

The museum workers complied as they took the exhibit into the museum.

"Well so far so good," Wolf told himself.

"Wolf!" Alice called out.

Wolf turned around and saw Alice. "Alice." he smiled as he walked over to her and gave her a hug. "I'm glad that you're doing well, little sis." he smiled. "How's grandpa?" Wolf asked, to which Alice frowned.

"Well… Wolf you see he's vanished," Alice admitted.

Wolf was shocked to hear this. "Vanished? When and for how long?" Wolf asked

"A week, they are almost ready to call off the search. I don't know where he's gone." Alice answered.

Wolf just sighed. "Damn it, old man… I should have stayed with you two."

"Wolf, neither of us knew this would happen. It's my fault for not telling you sooner, but I was afraid of how you would react." Alice said.

Wolf just sighed as he put his palm on his face as he calmed down. As much as he wants to blame someone, Alice was still his beautiful innocent little sister.

"Okay, I've calmed down," Wolf said as he sighed.

"Maybe we should change the subject," Judai muttered to Eva, seeing where this was going.

"Indeed," Eva said before calling out. "Hey Wolf long time no see"

Wolf then turned his attention to Judai and the others before fist-bumping Judai. "Judai, it's been awhile."

"Yeah, it has." Judai smiled, "oh, by the way, these two are Dan and Runo, our new friends."

"I know who they are, the Battle Brawlers. And Alice has mentioned you two along with Julie, Marucho, and Shun." Wolf said, before turning to Judai, "And I noticed you got on the scoreboard a few weeks ago, about damn time your sister has been out doing you."

"Hey, I've caught up." Judai countered, causing the others to chuckle.

"Eva, how are you doing? You've grown since the last time I've seen you." Wolf said.

"Not just my height but my beauty too," Eva said her chest puffed with pride.

"Beauty? One look in the mirror and it shatters." Judai said.

"You forget I have mom's face so by calling me ugly you're calling mom ugly." Eva countered.

Wolf just grinned showing his pronounced canines. "Well Judai, what's your counter for that?" he asked.

Judai just crossed his arms in frustration. "No comment," he said in anger.

"Well, it looks like Eva claimed checkmate Judai?" Alice smirked.

"Whatever," Judai grunted. "Eva's still the maid."

"Maid?" Wolf asked.

"Don't listen to him, I'm not a maid at least I didn't take pictures of my sibli-" before Eva could finish Judai covered her mouth.

"Pictures of what?" Wolf asked in a confused tone.

"You don't want to know Wolf, let's just say Judai has a weird fetish and leave it at that," Alice said.

"It was blackmail," Judai said

"Blackmail? You know what, never mind. What happens in your kid's private life is not my concern." Wolf said, waving both his hands..

"So Wolf, Eva said that you study Bakugan? Is that right?" Drago asked as he appeared.

"That's right," Wolf answered, not even fazed by a talking Bakugan as he met Nillious before.

"What exactly are you researching on them?" Runo asked.

"Tell me, have any of you ever heard of an event known as the Great Collision?" Wolf asked.

"I've heard of that, it's a mysterious event that left craters around 15 years ago all over the world. It even disable electrical appliances that day." Eva answered.

"Wait, what does that event have to do with the Bakugan?" Dan asked.

"Well the one I'm working for also has an interest in Bakugan and told me that Bakugan were discovered in the past," Wolf said before turning to Judai.

"That's right," Judai added. "I first met Nillious 15 years later on that exact same day that event happened."

"Yes, I remember," Nillious said.

"So Bakugan have been on earth before Drago or the others came? How is that possible?" Dan asked.

"We still don't know how, but we're looking for an answer," Wolf said. "Anyway, want to see the exhibits before we put them on display as well as the Bakugan that my team discovered while evacuating Ruins?" Wolf asked.

"But how come they never appeared before? Even when the cards and other Bakugan arrived on earth?" Runo asked.

"We don't know yet, but hopefully with more time we will," Wolf answered.

"I still think it should be left alone, I love history but there are some things man was never meant to interact with," Eva said.

"True, but this is something that I've got to see through to the end how did they get here and why before the others I must know," Wolf said.

Wolf took everyone to the employee's section of the museum and showed them 6 Bakugan. One of each attribute. Pyrus, Darkus, Ventus, Aquos, Haos, and Subterra.

"What do you think?" Wolf said.

"They look like normal Bakugan to me," Dan said, folding his arms.

"No, maybe to you but 5 of them are still hibernating," Nillious said

"Hibernating? So they are asleep?" Runo asked.

Wolf did a so-so motion with his hand. "They're in the process of restoring their energy as well as sleeping," Wolf answered before facing Nillious. "Right?"

"That's right," Nillious answered.

"So these are the Bakugan that were in that event huh?" Eva said as she observed them. "I wonder what type they are?"

"Well, my benefactor created a scanner to show what they look like in their true form even if they're still in ball form," Wolf said as he grabbed the Ventus Bakugan and placed it in the scanner before a picture of a Bakugan that looks to be a hybrid between a harpy eagle and a griffin appeared.

"I've never seen a Bakugan like that before," Drago said.

"Neither have I before," Tigrerra added

"Wait, you mean they aren't from Vestroia?" Dan asked.

"Maybe," Drago said.

"You know anything Nillious?" Judai asked.

"Yes, his name is Harperion! A Bakugan who lived in Vestroia during ancient times." Nillious explained. "He must have migrated to earth along with the others."

"Is he strong?" Leonidas questioned thinking these Bakugan would be a great test of his power.

"Yes they were, they battled each other constantly to improve their skills," Nillious explained

"Human! How long before you wake them up, I want to crush them." Leonidas said to Wolf.

"Quiet down." a voice came from the Darkus Bakugan.

"What? Is that one talking?" Runo asked, pointing at the Darkus Bakugan.

"I did say before that 5 of them were in hibernation, didn't I?" Nillious recalled

"So only the Darkus one is awake huh?" Judai asked.

"Correct, everyone meet Darkus Eenoch." Wolf said as he introduced Eenoch to all of them.

"Hello, my name is Eva." Eva introduces herself.

"My name is Dan and this is Drago." Dan said.

"It's nice to meet you," Drago said.

"My name is Runo and this is Tigrerra." Runo said.

"Please meet you," Tigrerra said.

"My name's Alice, I'm Wolf's sister,"Alice said.

"Names Judai, and these are my partner Bakugan Leonidas and Nillious." Judai said.

"It's been awhile Eenoch." Nillious said

"Whatever," Eenoch said as he grunted.

"Great another Bakugan with a bad attitude," Eva said in a dry tone.

Nillious floated in the air. "Yeah Eenoch is not known for his manners but he's a vicious fighter." Nillious then glanced at Leonidas. "Almost reminds me of someone."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Leonidas asked Nillious while glaring.

"You know what it means." Nillious countered.

"By the way Eva, here," Wolf said as he gave Eva Eenoch

Eva just stared at Wolf. "Why are you giving him to me?"

"Well he needs his own partner to help guide him and since Nillious knows him, I figure he'll be best left in your hands since you still don't have a partner Bakugan." Wolf explained.

"Cool! eat that Judai! I have my own talking Bakugan Partner!" Eva exclaimed.

"Whatever," Judai said.

"Alright, kids you better get going," Wolf said.

"Alright Wolf, it was good seeing you." Alice smiled.

"Yeah, you too little sister," Wolf said.

The kids left for their homes leaving Wolf alone.

"Grandfather… you used that damn machine didn't you?" Wolf sighed, he knew that the Machine was unstable. In fact, it's the very thing that killed his father and what made his mother grow cold and now the old fool has made himself vanish with it. In fact, Wolf still hasn't told Alice how their father died and why their mother grew cold if she knew it could break her heart.

Meanwhile, everyone was walking back home.

"Your brother was cool Alice, I'm still sore about you not telling us about him," Dan said.

"I'm sorry about that, I had a lot on my mind." Alice apologized.

"It doesn't matter now, we got to meet him and that's all that matters," Runo said.

"Too true, but what really matters is that I got a talking Bakugan partner, top 10 spot here I come," Eva said.

"Keep dreaming, I'm catching up so don't get comfortable," Judai said.

As they were walking, they passed a landmark that indicated a crater created by the Great collision.

"Guys look over there," Judai said as he walked over.

Eva got on one knee and looked. "So this is where the Great Collision happened? I wonder what caused it to happen in the first place?"

"That's what Wolf and the others are trying to find out," Alice said.

"It's still hard to believe that Bakugan have arrived here before Naga took the Silent Core," Drago said.

Meanwhile, Wolf was at an apartment that he rented and was currently in contact with his benefactor.

"One of them has woken up and I have given him to Eva, also her brother Judai has a Bakugan Named Nillious and one is an unknown one called Leonidas," Wolf said.

While his benefactor was looking over the data of the Battle Brawlers including Judai and Eva, he was watching the battles they had and the one with Leonidas and Reaper is what piqued his interest.

"This Leonidas is a mysterious Bakugan his power was so great it stopped the battle," he said as he looked over Leonidas's data and found the readings were very strange, to say the least. "We are going to need more data on him."

"I know, I was thinking about testing Judai's skills later on, including Eva's with Eenoch." Wolf said.

"Very good, also have you gotten the reports of Bakugan Vanishing?" the benefactor asked.

"Yes, I have," Wolf replied

"Whoever this Masquerade is he poses a threat to both Bakugan and Humans and not just him there is another rumor of an extremely powerful Bakugan attacking other battlers some say he resembles a black knight," he said.

"Very well, I'll look right into it Mr. Dusk," Wolf said

"Great Wolf, and I'm sorry about your grandfather. He really should have dismantled that machine after seeing his son-in-law die." Mr. Dusk said in a sad tone.

Wolf sighed, Mr. Dusk and him can both agree on that. "Thank you, I just hope Alice will recover from this," he said before he ended the call.

Meanwhile, everyone went back to Judai's and Eva's house and went on to the computer and contacted Marucho and Julie and told them what they did for the day.

"Alice! Why didn't you tell us about you having a brother! I always thought you were an only child with you just living with your grandpa." Julie said.

"I said I was sorry Julie," Alice said.

"I'm more surprised that your brother is Wolf, one the leading experts in science and archaeology, he's earned three awards for his discoveries," Marucho said, sounding like a fanboy.

"Well Wolf is working on uncovering the mystery of the Great Collision and he believes the Bakugan had something to do with it," Judai said.

"Intriguing, I wonder why the Great Collision happened? And if the Bakugan were involved with it, shouldn't cards have fallen from the sky on that day too. There are so many theories on what this event could have been." Marucho said, putting his finger on his chin.

"Indeed, that's one of the reasons why Wolf is studying the Bakugan, why this incident is different from this latest incident," Judai explained.

"And I can guess where our parents could have gone, cause this incident has been one of their obsessions for years," Eva added. "And these Ruins Wolf told us about why they left on short notice."

"Most likely," Alice said.

"Anyway, have you guys heard the latest news?" Julie said.

"What news?" everyone said at once.

"Apparently there is news of a new battler going around brutally defeating everyone with a Darkus Bakugan," Marucho explained.

"Is it Masquerade?" Dan asked.

"No it isn't, the Bakugan he's using resembles a black knight," Marucho replied.

"A black knight Bakugan? Who is this Bakugan's partner?" Judai asked in a serious tone.

"Sadly his partner's name is unknown, but we do know that his rank is 8 so he must be very powerful," Marucho answered.

Judai looked up the rankings and saw the rank 8 spot and found it was blank, no picture, and 3 question marks were where this person's name should be. "You're right, not even a picture of the guy," he said.

"So we have someone else other than Masquerade hunting down and attacking people, those low lives," Eva said, clenching her hand.

"These battlers, do they know what he looks like?" Alice asked.

"Yes, but they say that he is covered in a black overcoat and he wears a mask that covers half his face," Julie informed them.

"That's something to go on, but not much…" Runo said.

"Indeed, whoever these two are, they could be just as dangerous as Masquerade. We must be careful." Judai said to them which they nodded.

Later Wolf was walking when suddenly he felt a wind before he noticed someone was behind him to which he smirked, expecting him.

"Good, Saves me the trouble of finding you myself," Wolf said as he glared at this new arrival.

This person wore a long black hood, just laughed. "Wolf, ranked 7 best battler in the world, I have appeared to defeat you," he said before throwing the hood off him revealing his true appearance.

The boy had red eyes, and silver hair with red streaks and was wearing a white mask that covered the left side of his face, he was wearing a long black coat with a frayed tail and was dressed completely in black.

"I'm Marduk the greatest battler in the world, and soon you will fall before me." Marduk declared.

"In your dreams kid, you and your Bakugan will count up your sins." Wolf declared

"Oh, he thinks he is a hero? What do you think of that Vladiator?" Marduk asked as a Darkus Bakugan shot past Wolf, who remained calm as the Bakugan floated in front of Marduk.

"I am Vladiator, and the doom dimension awaits all that stands before me, including you Wolf," Vladiator said.

"Vladiator?" a voice called out as a Golden Bakugan flew out before a flash occurred and an Armored Dragon Bakugan appeared.

"You know him, Auxillataur?" Wolf asked.

"Yes, he's an ancient Bakugan that once tried to conquer Vestroia but was stopped by the ancient warriors and was banished to the doom dimension as a result for his punishment," Auxillataur explained

"I thought nothing escaped the doom dimension? How did he get free?" Wolf questioned.

"Perhaps when Naga took the Silent Core and the Infinity Core left Vestroia, he was able to escape," Auxillataur answered.

"A golden Bakugan?" Vladitor said he had fought and defeated many before he was not worried.

"Enough talk. It's time to battle Wolf. Prepare to be crushed," Marduk said, taking out the field card.

Wolf scowled as he too took out his field card, ready to put an end to these two.

"Field Open!" Both shouted as the battle between them had begun.
