The next day, Anna who had recovered from her battle with Alisa. She was standing on the side of Mt Fuji, the location of the ruins waiting for Alisa, all in all she didn't want to cave into her sister's demands. but she had made a promise and a Gehabich always kept their promise, that's what her father and mother had taught both Anna and Alisa.
"So you actually kept your promise sis?" Alisa smirked.
Anna frowned. "Yes, our family always keeps our promises. That's what our parents taught us when we were small,"
"Yes, if only mom had lived and father had died my Gray would be alive and none of this would have happened," Alisa scowled
"If mom was alive, she would be ashamed to even call you her daughter," Anna glared at Alisa, their mom had died of cancer when they were 15 years old, it had devastated their family with their father constantly dedicating his time to his work and had neglected them for a time. "You think she would be happy with what you have done to Alice?"
"I'm only here for the ruins, not to talk about a 'what if scenario' are you leading me or not?" Alisa asked, her arms crossed.
"Yeah I will, but what are you hoping to find there anyway?" Anna asked, glaring at Alisa.
"That's for me to know, and for you to find out," Alisa answered.
Anna continued to glare at her sister, before turning her back. She then began to walk into the ruins with Alisa close behind. Inside they were met with cave paintings showing ancient Bakugan and Humans living alongside each other and battling in ancient times.
"Fascinating," Alisa said as she observed the paintings. "Don't you think, Helios?" she asked her partner.
"Yes, it seems that this isn't the first time that Bakugan and Humans encountered each other," Helios stated.
"Yes, very interesting indeed." Alisa smiled as she put her hands on the wall
"I dated these ruins, they're about 6000 years old, maybe more," Anna told them with a frown.
"6000 huh?" Alisa uttered. "There's so much to learn, imagine the knowledge hidden away not just here but all over the world,"
"Like a kid in a candy store," Haos Dragonoid told Anna.
"She's always been like that when it comes to this," Anna replied.
"That reminds me, your daughter Maria looks delicious," Alisa smirked as she has a wolfish grin on her face.
Anna growled. "You better stay away from my little girl, or else I'll bury you in these ruins!" Anna threatened.
Alisa just continued giving her wolfish grin. "Don't forget that I won our battle, and I could've just left you there, injured. Instead, I brought you back inside and stayed by your side until you regained consciousness." Alisa reminded Anna as she came so close that they could practically feel each other's breaths.
"Really? Sickbed guilt?" Anna scowled, before turning her back to Alisa. "Let's just get this over with so you can get out of my hair,"
"Whatever you say, big sister," Alisa cooed.
Anna grumbled under her breath, she was letting Alisa get under her skin so easily and it made her sick.

At that time, Judai, Dan, Marucho, and Eva were at the family restaurant. Judai had closed the store for the day, and Alice was helping Runo. while Runo and Alice, mostly Alice, were dealing with the customers. Marucho and Eva were telling Dan and Judai about their battle with Mei Ling.
"Ventus Serpillious?" Dan asked, confused, never hearing about that Bakugan.
"I remember Serpillious it's a cousin of my species," Drago said.
"Yeah, and he was strong. Even with the two of us, he tossed us aside like rag dolls," Eva admitted with shame.
"And his partner Mei Ling is no slouch and I looked her up and I found nothing in the rankings and nothing," Marucho said.
"And I'm still sore from that battle," Preyas whimpered.
"That's the second time this has happened, first Magnus and this Mei Ling girl," Judai stated.
"It can't be a coincidence," Nillious said.
Judai began to think about it but then turned his head and saw the customers were still flirting with Alice. There were just a bunch of men who just couldn't keep their gazes on her, he wasn't jealous no, no he was being conscious what if one of them was a sexual predator and he would have to keep her safe, definitely not jealous.
The three men were sitting at the front of the Restaurant's counter smiling at Alice.
"Hurry up Runo. I'm starving here" one of the men said,
"Yeah, a little service would be nice." the second man stated.
"Step on it, Runo," the third man said
"Hold your horses," Runo yelled as she came out of the kitchen, holding a tray with coffee mugs on it, she began giggling. 'Woah I've never been this popular in all my life…' she thought. "Or am I," Runo yelled before staring at the counter again, seeing the customers paying more attention to Alice than her, and Runo couldn't help but feel jealous. 'Who am I kidding? It's Alice they're going gaga over not me. Boys hmmph who needs them.' Runo thought.
"Geez, Dan I never imagined Runo being jealous over anyone," Marucho told Dan.
"Just keep it down Marucho, never get involved in a cat fight," Dan whispered to Marucho.
"You two have no idea what girls go through at times, Jealousy is one of them," Eva stated, before turning to Judai. "It's not just Runo who's jealous of others getting more attention~," she said with a catlike smile.
Judai glared at her. "What are you talking about?"
Eva just gestured to the three men who were going gaga over Alice who was very flattered by them. "You sure you don't know what I'm talking about?" Eva asked.
Judai just glared at Eva for pointing that out.
"Runo, a little help please," Alice asked
"Huh, I can't believe this. Marucho, Eva can one of you get some coffee. Alice is totally useless." Runo said.
"Hey! No, she isn't," Eva said in anger.
"Yeah, she does a lot at my family's store when we are not around," Judai agreed.
"We might as well Eva or else she'll never let it go," Marucho sighed.
"Fine," Eva huffed, still angry at Runo for saying Alice was useless.
"Hurry up Runo," one man said.
"I'm starving," the second one added.
"I'm coming," Runo said, walking over to them.
Both Marucho and Eva got up and walked to the storage room however Judai called out. "No funny business Eva, I'm sure mom and dad wouldn't want to be grandparents yet," Judai said with a sly smirk.
"You! You! Gaa!" Eva shouted her face deep red at Judai's comment, but then turned her on her heel and stomped away with Marucho following behind also blushing.
"Ahh, that made me feel better," Judai smiled, happy he got Eva back for her earlier jab at him.
"Heh, looks like you got her back," Dan chuckled.
"Yep," Judai replied.
Suddenly Preyas and Eenoch rolled up to them before they opened up.
"How's it going home, boys?" Preyas greeted Dan and Judai.
"We have something to tell you both," Eenoch stated.
That got both Dan and Judai's attention, as both Preyas and Eenoch began to talk.
At that time, Marucho and Eva had arrived in the storage room. As they entered the storage room they began to look around.
"Where are we supposed to find coffee?" Marucho said while looking around.
Eva then looked at a pile of sacks. "There it is," Eva said as she tried to pull out one on the bottom, but was having a hard time.
"Here let me help," Marucho said, as he grabbed her waist.
"Make sure to watch where you are touching," Eva warned him.
"Got it," Marucho replied as they both began to pull hard until they pulled the bag of coffee out, but they fell backward with Eva landing on Marucho. "Ahh Eva, can you please get off,"
Before Eva could reply, the sacks of coffee bags began to feel towards. "Ahh!" both shouted as they were buried underneath them all.
"What, Runo, Marucho, and Eva went to see Shun?" Dan questioned.
"Shh, zip it Marucho would put me in some egg shoes if I squealed," Preyas said.
"It wouldn't matter, you two would have found out one way or another," Eenoch stated.
"Why am I not surprised," Judai said, knowing that this Idea was definitely Runo's, and his sister and Marucho were just along for the ride.
"So they failed to get him to help, huh?" Leonidas asked.
"Yeah let's just say, he and Skyress gave us the boot," Preyas said. "And I have to tell ya, it was the weirdest place I've ever seen, traps everywhere. Spears came from the ceiling and the throwing stars I was lucky to get out of there alive,"
"You are exaggerating," Eenoch said, knowing the traps were nonlethal.
Dan growled, before slamming his hands on the table. The sound surprised everyone in the room. Making Runo scream, dropping a coffee mug onto the floor which shattered.
"Alice, what's wrong?" the three men asked before turning to Dan. "Hey, pal. You're scaring Alice."
Dan turned his head and glared making everyone shake in fear, Runo hid her face behind the silver platter knowing she, Marucho, and Eva were busted. A bit later Marucho and Runo were standing in front of Dan and Judai, their heads lowered in shame while Eva stood to the side knowing this was bound to happen. She wanted to stay out of it.
"We're so sorry," Both Runo and Marucho apologized.
"So you three really went there alone?" Judai asked with a calculating stare.
"I know this doesn't look good Dan, Judai but it's just we need Shun on our side to beat that creep Masquerade," Marucho said trying to explain. "And after all that…"
"We know he gave you the boot," Dan said, not surprised.
"Might I interject?" Preyas offered.
"Keep out of this," Tigrerra told Preyas.
"Don't need to tell me twice," Preyas said, backing away.
"Let's not forget Tiger girl, it was your partner's idea to go there," Eenoch stated.
"We're so sorry Dan, Judai," Marucho apologized.
"Well, Daniel?" Drago asked.
Dan didn't say anything, his head lowered. Runo just huffed in annoyance.
"Heh he's just stubborn," Runo said. "If he doesn't want to talk it's his problem,"
"Runo, you and Marucho did go behind his back and not him or me about going to Shun's house," Judai said, he could see that Dan did feel betrayed.
"Dan's just being a big baby," Runo said, crossing her arms.
"You're the baby." Dan retorted back.
"Would you grow up?" Runo countered. "Just how many Bakugan does Masquerade have to steal before you realize we need Shun and let's not forget about Alisa."
"Runo, will you just shut up!" Eva shouted, getting her attention. "I know you want to get to Shun to help us but blaming Dan isn't the right way, and let's not forget you went in there without thinking that Shun would just agree to help us by asking pretty please!"
"Eva, shut up," Judai said. "As much as I hate to admit it, she has a point." Eva just looked at Judai surprised.
"Are you siding with her?" Dan asked.
"I'm not siding with anyone. Both sides made valid points alright." Judai said before getting up. "If you need me I'll be home working at the shop," Judai said before grabbing both Leonidas and Nillious and putting both of them in his pocket before he walked out of the restaurant.
"Why can't we just get along?" Marucho shouted.
"Because we have some of the most stubborn people in the room," Eva answered.
Not long after Dan, Marucho, and Runo were on Marucho's plane heading for Shun's house, Eva chose to stay behind not wanting to be involved in Dan and Runo's drama.
"Thanks for coming Dan," Runo said, sticking her tongue out.
"Hey, I could let you two go alone," Dan countered, crossing his arms. "Besides you need my help, to beat that creep,"
"That's the spirit, we'll have Shun eating out of our hands in no time," Marucho said.
"Like that will ever happen," Preyas remarked.
"Enough," Tigrerra said.
"I know, keep a lid on it sheesh," Preyas said hiding behind Marucho. "Talk about grumpy. Well, excuse me."

"Are you still going through with it?" Skyress asked, referring to his deal with Alisa.
Shun had his back to Skyress. "I must defeat Dan, not just to decide if I'll continue to play Bakugan, but if Alisa keeps her word my mother will be awakened from her coma, I must do this Skyress,"
Just then the door opened up, behind him. Shun turned around and was shocked by who he saw.

At that time Judai was watching TV, Alice had gone out on an errand, and Eva was visiting Miu. it was just him, Buster, Leonidas, and Nillious.
"I'm bored, can we go out and battle?" Leonidas asked.
"Don't feel like it. Right now I feel like watching TV." Judai said
"You haven't even found a channel to watch, you've just been channel surfing," Leonidas said.
"Why do you always feel the strong urge to battle?" Judai asked.
"Because I grow stronger with each battle, after seeing what Helios could do I want to get as strong as I can to crush him and Vladitor," Leonidas answered.
"There are times when you need to take a break from battle Leo, however, I'm not going to go out and battle every battler all day and night. I need a rest," Judai said.
"Indeed." Nillious agreed
A few minutes later outside Shun's house, the team had arrived. Runo and Marucho moved against the wall.
"It's quiet almost too quiet," Runo said,
"Better keep our eyes peeled, remember all those traps," Marucho recalled
Suddenly Dan began to climb the wall, shocking both Runo and Marucho.
"Dan no," Marucho said.
"Don't leave us behind," Preyas shouted.
"Dan, wait," Runo shouted
"Don't go in there," Runo and Marucho shouted.
Dan didn't listen to them, as he landed on the ground and nothing had happened.
"Dan, no," Marucho said as he covered his eyes before he noticed that nothing happened. "Hey, wait nothing happened."
"Maybe that old man took out his traps," Runo said before both she and Marucho began to climb the wall. "Let's check this out."
Runo made it to the top first and helped Marucho up but she had leaned back too far and they fell to the ground. The ground gave away and they fell into a trap hole. Runo grabbed onto a rock with Marucho holding onto her waist. "Oh come on. Why does everything always happen to us?" Runo yelled.
With Dan who was walking along the garden area, he looked around for any sign of Shun.
"Careful Dan, trouble might be afoot," Drago warned.
Before Dan could reply he heard someone coming, he quickly hid behind a pillar. He was surprised to see it was Shun walking across the grass.
Dan came out of hiding and confronted Shun. "Shun,"
"It's been a long time Dan, I hope you are ready to lose," Shun said.
'What's with Shun? He seemed eager to battle me,' Dan thought, Shun was acting strange. Dan hadn't seen him in a while but something was off with him.
"It's good to see you, Shun," Dan said.
Just then Masquerade appeared smirking. Dan was both shocked and angered seeing him here.
"Masquerade?!" Dan uttered.
"What is he doing here?" Drago said
"The better question is what is Shun hanging around him?" Dan replied, before noticing that Shun had the doom card. "The Doom card! Hey Shun, why are you palling around with scum like him?"
"Oh Dan, when would you ever learn," Masquerade said. "Well Shun, I think it's about time that we eliminate him after all you remember the deal you made with Alisa right?"
"Shun! You made a deal with Alice's mom?" Dan shouted in shock. "You can't trust her Shun, whatever she promised you won't be good,"
Shun didn't reply, he threw the Doom card at Dan who dodged it, the card had destroyed the structure behind him.
"Didn't you hear me?" Masquerade questioned.
"I play this game solo," Shun told him. "And I know what Alisa expects me to do, so don't think that you or Alisa is the boss of me cause neither of you aren't."
"Not your smartest decision," Masquerade said. "But I respect it. That leaves me with only one choice and that's to bring Dan down personally." as he held up a gate card
"Hey, You want to battle? Then that's fine by me!" Dan said not backing down.
"Your time has come Masquerade," Drago said
Suddenly Shun blocked Masquerade with his arm. "Out of my way, my house my battle,"
"I have an idea, I'll take you both once, you know take out two birds with one stone, unless those birds are nothing but yellow belly chickens," Dan mocked.
"Tough words, but can you back them up?" Shun asked, putting on his gloves.
"This is our chance, Shun," Masquerade said.
All three brawlers took out their gate cards. "Field Open!" all three shouted as time begin to slow down
Runo tried to climb up the rock, but she then lost her grip. "Ahh!" both Runo and Marucho screamed as they fell into the pit just as time stopped.
(Trinity Field: Pyrus, Darkus, Ventus)
The field was a mixture of the Pyrus, Darkus, and Ventus field, on each side stood a different statue, Dan and Shun recognized Drago and Skyress but the third Bakugan they didn't recognize at all, it resembles a four-dragon-like hydra creature with a long neck and tail, the statue was standing on its hind legs.
The floor was made of rock with lava that flowed through the cracks like blood vessels. There were wild wind storms flowing over the field and purple lighting striking in random places. In the center of the field was the emblem for each attribute but all merged together, on top were half of both the Pyrus and Ventus symbols, and on the bottom was part of the Symbol for Darkus.
"Woah! I didn't know the fields could merge?" Dan said in awe at the sight of the field.
"So this is the battlefield," Shun commented.
Masquerade didn't even comment on the field. "Doom Card Set!" Masquerade smirked simply dropping the Doom Card onto the ground which got absorbed into the battlefield
"Gate Card Set!" all three brawlers shouted as they threw their gate cards

"Bakugan Brawl!" Masquerade said as he loaded a Bakugan into his launcher before launching it at his own gate card. "Laserman Stand."
In a flash of purple light, a Darkus Laserman appeared and rose, ready for battle.

"No way, that's a lot of power," Dan said.
"Are you scared, Dan?" Masquerade mocked.
"Not even close!" Dan countered, before choosing his Bakugan. "Bakugan Brawl!" he shouted, throwing the Bakugan behind Laserman, landing on Dan's gate card. "Stinglash stand!"
In a flash of red light, Pyrus Stinglash appeared and rose, ready for battle.
(Stinglash enters battle at 340gs, due to Pyrus battlefield power level has doubled to 680gs)
"Ha, nice try," Masquerade laughed, before pulling out an ability. "Leap Sting ability activate!"
Suddenly Laserman's upper half began to turn and was now facing where Stinglash was.
"Oh, no that's not good," Dan said, remembering that Eva had used the same ability.
Laserman then began to fire multiple blasts at Stinglash who was being overwhelmed by the attack.
"You should know better than anyone not to turn your back on your foes," Masquerade smirked.
"Stinglash!" Dan called out.
Shun watched as Stinglash was tossed into the Doom Dimension. "Damn it, he sent Stinglash to the Doom Dimension," Dan said.
Masquerade smirked as he caught Laserman. "Hmph,"

"So that's the Doom Dimension?" Shun asked.
"Yes, once a Bakugan is sent there it's gone, it's the place we fear the most," Skyress answered.
"Hmm," was all Shun had uttered.
Skyress then turned to Shun. "knowing that do you still wish to continue?"
"Bakugan Brawl!" Shun shouted, throwing a Bakugan onto his card. "Monarus Stand!"
In a burst of spiraling wind, Monarus appeared.
(Ventus Monarus enters battle at 330gs, due to Ventus battlefield Power level has doubled to 660gs)
"Heh, Bakugan Brawl!" Masquerade shouted, tossing out another Bakugan onto his card. "Reaper Stand!"
In a flash of spiraling purple light, Reaper appeared on the field ready for battle.
"Grr," Drago growled at the sight of Reaper.
(Reaper 370gs, due to due to Darkus battlefield power level has doubled to 740gs)
"Heads up kid," Reaper taunted.
"Aw man, is that the best you can do?" Dan asked. "Gate Card set!" he shouted, tossing his gate card onto the field behind Shun's.
"Bakugan Brawl!" Dan shouted, throwing a Bakugan onto his gate card. "Gargonoid stand!"
In a flash of red light, Gargonoid appeared ready for battle.

"All right Dan let's get this started," Shun said as he held up an ability card. " Ability card activate! Air Battle!"
Monarus took to the air, flying above the Gate Cards. "Monarus is flying outside the card zone?" Dan said.
"In Air Battle mode, Shun's Monarus possess that unique ability, it's a wind attribute that allows it the freedom of movement beyond the cards below," Drago explained
"That's not all Dan. When I'm in Air Battle mode your gate card won't open." Shun told Dan.
"Huh?!" Dan gasped in shock.
"Monarus attack!" Shun ordered
Monarus released a tornado capturing Gargonoid in it forcing him to the ground where Monarus follows up by pelting the Pyrus Gargonoid with the dust from her wings that explode on contact and keeps doing this until Gargonoid is defeated and has reverted back to ball form landing near Dan's feet. Monarus then glowed as she reverted back to ball form and Shun caught her.

"Damn it, I lost again," Dan cursed before turning to Shun.
"Good Job," Skyress told Shun.
"Looks like you're just down to Drago," Masquerade said. "But not for long," he then tossed down a gate card. "Bakugan brawl Laserman stand."
In a flash of purple light, a Darkus Laserman reappeared and rose, ready for battle.
(Laserman appears at 370gs, due to Darkus battlefield power level has doubled to 740gs)
"This is our last chance Drago, heads up they can from anywhere," Dan warned. " Bakugan brawl Drago stand."
In a bright flash of red, Drago appears in front of Reaper ready to face him. "En garde Reaper."

"I'm ready when you are Drago," Reaper said, clearly ready for battle.
"Gate card Open! Third Judgment!" Masquerade called out.
Just then Drago was engulfed in surges of purple lightning rendering him unable to move.
"Prepare for the Doom Dimension my friends, the Third Judgement Card will make sure you have a pleasant journey," Reaper said.
"This is it. Can you feel it? Our moment of victory Shun," Masquerade told Shun.
"Sorry, but I play solo," Shun replied. "Bakugan Brawl!" Shun then tossed a Bakugan onto his gate card. "Monarus stand!"
In a flash of green light, Monarus appeared on the field once again ready for battle.
(Ventus Monarus enters battle at 330gs, due to Ventus battlefield Power level has doubled to 660gs)
Dan with no Bakugan left could only watch as Masquerade went and threw his last remaining Bakugan he had. "Hydranoid stand!"
In a flash of purple light, Hydranoid appeared on the field.
(Hydranoid's power level 450gs, due to Darkus battlefield Power level has been doubled to 900gs)
"Woah, his base power is as high as Vladitor's," Shun said looking at his Bakupod.
"Man his power's off the charts." Dan gasped in shock.
"Very observant human, for I am one of the most powerful Bakugan ever, and I have no limits. I feed off the Bakugan I send to the Doom Dimension. Just as I'll feed on your precious Drago," Hydranoid said.
"That ends here and now, Hydranoid," Drago said.
"Ability card activate! Boosted Dragon!" Dan shouted.
As the ability card was used Drago fired off a blast of fire that covered Hydranoid in flames.
(Pyrus Drago 680gs power level surge detected 780gs)
"This is revenge for all the Bakugan you've sent to the Doom Dimension," Drago said.
"That a boy," Dan smirked, thinking they had beaten Hydranoid, but then Hydranoid began to laugh "What the?"
"Hahahha, is that the best you can do?" Hydranoid mocked before he roared dispersing the flames around him.
"No!" Drago gasped in shock.
"Bon Voyage Drago!" Hydranoid said as he swung his tail at Drago.
"Ahh!" Drago roared.
"Ability Card Activate! Crimson Twister!" Shun quickly called out.
Just as Hydranoid was about to strike Drago with his tail, a gust of wind appeared around him which made him vanish, which made both Dan and Masquerade gasp in shock. As Drago landed on Shun's gate card.
"Attack now!" Shun called out.
Monarus then attacked Drago, kicking him in the head and making Drago stagger abit before Drago smashed his tail into Monarus, causing her to revert back to ball form in defeat, while Drago returned to Dan who was confused by what Shun had done.

"But Shun, your Monarus, you sacrificed her to save my Drago?" Dan asked him.
"Don't get too excited Dan. Trust me our battle is far from over, it's between you and me," Shun said.
Reaper then turned to them "That's only one done human, your pathetic pet lizard doesn't stand a chance against me, now time to finish this," Reaper said
However, Hydranoid suddenly swung his tail at Reaper and when Reaper turned around, he was brutally impaled by Hydranoid's tail.
"Huh?" Dan gasped in shock.
Shun's mouth opened slightly, also shocked by what he just saw
"No, I beg of you don't do this master," Reaper begged
"Sorry, only one Bakugan could survive the Third Judgment," Masquerade said while smirking.
"You bastard! Are you really going to send your own Bakugan to the doom dimension," Dan questioned in anger.
"Yeah, Reaper's services are no longer required," Masquerade said, not guilty of sacrificing his own Bakugan at all.
"You'll pay for this!" Reaper shouted as he was then sucked into the Doom Dimension.

"I can't believe you just did that, there are rules and you just crossed a line," Dan said in anger.
"Sorry Dan, but I play by my own… rules. Let's go back to our little battle gentlemen," Masquerade smirked.
"So now what?" Drago asked.
"We finish this," Dan said holding up a Gate Card.
"You can't be serious?!" Drago asked.
"We have little choice here Drago," Dan said.
"You decide, play it if you must," Drago stated.
"Gate Card set!" Dan shouted, tossing his gate card in front of Masquerades. "Bakugan Brawl! Drago stand!"
In a flash of red light, Drago reappeared on the field ready to battle.

"You confuse me Shun," Masquerade said. "Bakugan Brawl!" he shouted, tossing Hydranoid onto Dan's card. "Hydranoid stand!"
In a flash of purple light, Hydranoid reappeared ready to battle.

"Gate Card open! Triple Battle." Dan shouted as his Gate Card started shining as a rainbow light barrier appeared that separated Drago and Hydranoid. "Watch and learn boys my Triple battle command card engages when the Bakugan go head to head," Dan explained
"Nice move," Masquerade smirked, turning to Shun. "Danny boy think, he can team up with you to beat me,"
Shun didn't respond, while Dan gritted his teeth. 'Come on Shun, you got to help me.'
Masquerade smirked. 'Let's see, if these two jokers try to blindside me I think I'll counter with my Darkus Gravity and bring Laserman in to do the dirty work. Between my Hydranoid and Laserman, they'll both be in the Doom Dimension in no time,' Masquerade thought confident in his victory.
Shun finally opened his eyes, having made his decision. "Skyress, listen up, time to join the battle," Shun told Skyress who with no hesitation agreed.
"Yes," Skyress said.
Suddenly a gust of wind pushed against Masquerade who turned to see Shun engulfed in an aura of green energy. " Masquerade, I have had enough of your games. You just use people and you destroy their Bakugan." Shun said with fury as fierce as the wind coming from him.
"All right," Dan smirked.
"You're finished," Shun said with Skyress in his hand. "Bakugan Brawl!" he shouted as he tossed Skyress onto Dan's Gate card. "Skyress stand!"
A flash of green lightning shot into the sky into dark clouds. Just then Skyress descended from them her wings folded. "Nice to have you back Shun, now let's get to business," Skyress said, flapping her wings.

"Way to go Shun I just knew you wouldn't let me down," Dan said glad to have his friend by his side again.
"Are you ready?" Shun asked determinedly.
"Yeah," Dan nodded.
"Welcome to the party Skyress, too bad you won't be around to enjoy it," Hydranoid said.
"Ability Activate!" Masquerade said as threw his card to the sky creating a storm of his own where purple lightning could be seen. "Chaos of the Darkness." lightning then struck Hydranoid who absorbed it and used the power to fire an orb of energy at Drago.
"Ability card Activate! Firewall!" As Dan threw his card creating a rainbow of flames around Drago protecting him from Hydranoid attacks while Skyress was nimble enough in the air to avoid them.

"It's not working!" Hydranoid yelled, becoming increasingly frustrated and angry from his inability to defeat the two Bakugan in front of him until his body released the purple lightning it had absorbed earlier in every direction destroying the card in Masquerade's hand.
"His card! It disintegrated," Dan shouted in shock.
Hydranoid continuously fired orbs of darkness at random attacking everything in sight until one of the shots hit Falconeer, Shun could only watch as Falconeer was sent to the Doom Dimension.

"Grr!" Shun growled glaring at Masquerade for what he had done.
"Hydranoid is evolving thanks to you boys," Masquerade said, very pleased with what was happening.
"He's what!?" Dan said he couldn't believe what he was hearing.
Masquerade simply ignores him and sacrifices another card so Hydranoid can keep up his barrage. One of Hydranoid's attacks was shot at Laserman who was then sent to the Doom Dimension, though Masquerade didn't care if he needed to sacrifice one of his own Bakugan for Hydranoid to evolve.

"Hydranoid is destroying everything," Shun exclaimed.
Hydanoid continued to blast Drago's fire shield, which is holding for the moment but with every hit, he could feel more and more of the attack's power get through the shield won't be able to protect him for much longer.

"We got to stop him somehow, but what the hell do we do, Shun?" Dan asked fearing for Drago and Skyress being sent to the Doom Dimension.
"Aim at its mouth," Shun told Dan
"Yeah come on do it, Drago. We got to penetrate Hydranoid with one clean shot." Dan said
"I will divert his attention," Skyress said, she flew in front of Hydranoid who tried to hit her but she dodged. While Drago took the chance to fly high up to a better angle to fire the shot.
When Hydranoid opened its mouth to attempt to fire a blast at Skyress point-blank Dan saw their opening.
"Drago, Boosted Dragon," Dan shouted
Drago gathered all the energy he had and fired the Boosted Dragon at Hydranoid's mouth. Skyress hearing the flames getting closer waited for the last possible second she could then move so Hydranoid wouldn't have time to react.
"No Hydranoid," Masquerade yelled knowing if he is defeated now has to gather more energy to evolve again as Boosted Dragon hit, encasing him in flames again but this time, he was being hit by flames both inside and out.
Hydranoid roared in pain as he exploded from the power of Drago's attack, creating a smoke cloud.

Dan and Shun caught their respective partners, then Masquerade began to speak. "You both got lucky this time, but remember this you'll both be heading for the Doom Dimension," Masquerade said before he vanished in a flash of light,
"We won," Dan said.
"Yes, now our battle is about to begin," Shun replied.
"Huh?" Dan uttered in surprise but then smirked,
Both Dan and Shun tossed in Drago and Skyress, both Bakugan appeared onto the gate card ready to finish the battle.

Drago gather power in front of him and then fired a stream at Skyress who dodged ii. and flew at Drago knocking him to the ground,
"Nice move, Skyress," Drago complimented as he got back to his feet.
"Thanks for noticing Drago," Skyress replied.
"Time to turn up the heat a few degrees," Shun said as he held up an ability card. "Ability card Activate! Green Nobility Violent Wind!"
Skyress is then cloaked by the wind that releases its own heat making it appear that Skyress was on fire.

"Ha! That's not enough to beat Drago," Dan smirked.
"I'm not finished yet," Shun said. "Gate card Open! Character! Now Skyress's Power level is Doubled."

Skyress flew at Drago and hit him in the chest and went through him, making him return to ball form and landed near Dan's feet, Skyress circling the field in victory.

Time began to move again, and with this Marucho and Runo continued to fall into the hole. Marucho landed on his stomach with a hard thud, and Runo fell onto his back making him shout in agonizing pain.
"We won," Dan said. "I'll have you know that Green Nobility and Character Card combo caught me by surprise, I'm impressed."
"No! I only helped you to get Masquerade out of the way," Shun shouted. "It wasn't a win,"
"We defeated him, together Shun," Dan said in frustration.
"No, that battle was for me, for my own selfish reasons," Shun admitted thinking about the second reason he had agreed to the battle. "I gave up this game and I thought it was for good sorry Dan I tried."
"I know why you gave it up Shun, but I don't see why you had to shut me and the others out," Dan said turning his back to his friend, Dan knew it had to do with his mother and how she was in a coma and the fact he had to deal with his grandpa, but it didn't mean he had to shut them out. "Anyway, I'm sorry for wigging out on your earlier, and thanks for saving Drago,"
"No, I should be thanking you," Shun admitted, making Dan turn to face him. "Ever since my mother entered her coma, I felt lost. I was consumed with grief and was hiding from not just my problems, but from you and the others. It's thanks to you, Runo, Marucho, and that girl Eva that I'm able to see more clearly," Shun explained.
"What do you mean?" Dan asked.
"I may have been number 1 but I was bored," Shun admitted.
"You can't be serious Shun?" Dan asked, not believing what he was hearing.
Shun then turned around. "But battling with you showed me something, it's not how high your rank is, it's all about real friendship along with hard work and determination and we have a mission to defeat Masquerade, Marduk and Alisa once and for all, this is our game and we have to save it, Dan."
"Shun, that was some speech," Dan said. "Nah, I'm just goofing, glad to have you back buddy and you're right we are going to stop them and protect our game."
"You're a true friend Dan," Shun said as he walked over, extending his hand to Dan offering it.
Dan accepted it and the two shook hands rekindling their friendship. At that moment Runo and Marucho, who had climbed out of the pit were crying anime tears, along with Preyas and Tigrerra.
"How touching, does anybody have a tissue? I'm weeping like crazy," Preyas said, crying like crazy."
"Humans are so strange," Tigrerra stated with a lone tear in her eye.
"Shun," Dan uttered in a serious tone. "Masquerade mentioned a deal with Alisa. What did she promise you?"
Shun looked away. "I'm sorry Dan, but I can't tell you. Trust me please,"
Dan could hear the desperation in Shun's voice. Whatever Alisa promised him must be so important to him that only Alisa could give him. "Alright, but watch your back," Dan said.

At that time Anna and Alisa had finished exploring the Ruins as they arrived back at the mansion, they were greeted by Anna's family as well as Alisa's assistant Juri.
"How was it, mistress?" Juri asked.
"It went well Juri, now if only my sister didn't aggravate me and brought up things from the past," Alisa said.
"The truth is you are running from the past and refuse to learn from it." Anna glared at Alisa. "If Gray was here he would be absolutely disgusted by what you have become."
Maria felt herself shivering, as she hid behind her father who just stood his ground.
Alisa then turned on her heel. "Juri, I got what I came for, we're leaving," Alisa said before she began to walk away.
"Yes mistress," Juri said, before turning and bowing. "Thanks for the hospitality," she said before following Alisa.
"What did she want in the ruin?" Yamato asked
"She never told me. But whatever it's for can't be good." Anna said in a grim tone.

Alice had returned home, with some groceries. She then entered the house and called out.
"Judai, I'm back," Alice called out.
"I'm in the living room," Judai called back.
Alice then went to the kitchen and put away all the groceries, and walked into the living room a few minutes later.
"So how was your day?" Judai asked.
"It was fine. Nothing new. Got you some of those snacks you like." Alice answered.
"Thanks, you always know what I like," Judai smirked. "I got a message from Dan, he told me that Shun has agreed to join us to battle."
"That's wonderful news." Alice smiled
Judai then frowned. "However, it would seem that he has made a deal with your mother."
Alice gasped in shock. "Why would he do that? He should know my mother is not to be trusted how can Shun be so stupid?" she shouted in anger.
"Well to be fair your mother knows how to make people believe she can give them whatever they desire." Judai sighed, if she can get to Shun then he doubts there isn't anyone she can't convince if she has the right information.
"That's not the point my mother wouldn't promise anything for free. Shun will be wrapped around her fingers if we can't convince him to cut ties with her as soon as possible." Alice said she knew her mother well enough to know any deal she made had strings attached then she would be able to command them like a puppet.
Judai nodded agreeing with what Alice had said. "I know, but there's nothing we can do about it now,"
Alice just nodded. "I'm going upstairs, I'm a bit tired," she said before walking up the stairs.
"She took that very well," Leonidas said.

At that moment Alisa and Juri had returned not long ago and were in a lab, with a few researchers who were sitting at computers going over the data she had recovered from the ruins.
"Miss Alisa, the data that has been recovered from the ruins is the key component we are missing," a male scientist said.
"Of course, it is," Alisa frowned. "I'm the one who recovered it,"
"So we are ready to begin on Project Biogan?" Juri asked.
"Indeed," Alisa smirked as she gave her wolfish grin. "The Battle Brawlers won't stand a chance once these beasts are unleashed."
Suddenly Juri's phone began to ring, she then answered it. "Yes? Alright," Juri said before hanging up. "It appears Shun has held his end of the bargain and has won his battle with Dan and Masquerade,"
"That's excellent news." Alisa sang.
"Should I arrange for his mom to be transferred to our best medical center?" Juri asked.
"Yes, he held his end of the bargain so I'll uphold my end," Alisa smirked, soon she would have another to add to her collection and would be able to keep an eye on Shun for her. "Now let's begin, Project Biogan is a go,"

About 30 minutes after Alice had returned home, Judai decided to go out mostly since Leonidas was still complaining about wanting to battle, but with what Dan had told him about Masquerade's new Bakugan Judai was heavily concerned about what the future will become.
"Is something the matter, Judai?" Nillious asked.
"It's Masquerade's new Bakugan partner Hydranoid," Judai replied.
"Masquerade's new Bakugan?" Leonidas asked. "Why are you worried about him?"
"From what Dan told me, he was so strong that he destroyed everything," Judai answered. "Evolving… Nillious do you know about it?"
"The more Bakugan battles, the more powerful they become. And the results are they evolve into more powerful forms, however, evolving comes at a risk. If a Bakugan can not handle the power they will destroy themselves," Nillious explained.
"I see," Judai said with a downcast expression on his face.
"Oh stop moping already, shouldn't fear for the future," Leonidas said. "You have us, and the others to watch your back so stop your damn mopping and focus on the here and now,"
Judai couldn't help but smirk. 'Blunt and to the point, what would I do without you Leo,' knowing his partner was right, he had to focus on the here and now, since Shun had now returned to the battle brawlers, and they had another asset for the coming battles.
Suddenly a gust of wind enveloped him, Judai turned and round and was met with the sight of Marduk who smirked at him. "Marduk…" Judai frowned.
"So you're Judai? A rising star in the ranks, this is going to be fun," Marduk smirked, his arms crossed.
"Leonidas, why not join our side? You are different from all the others," Vladitor said. "My army needs a general Leonidas, join me and we'll conquer all Bakugan."
"Vladitor, I'm in a generous mood, I don't like you or your partner but things will get ugly if you don't get out of my sight right now," Leonidas growled.
"Heh, then we'll settle this in a Bakugan battle," Vladitor said.
Judai and Marduk pulled out their gate cards. "Field Open!"
In a flash, the two battlers were now on the Pyrus and Darkus merged field. It was similar to the one that Dan, Shun, and Masquerade were in; however, it only had two Dragonoid statues and two Hydranoid statues.
"So this is the merge field Dan told me about," Judai said, as he looked around the field.
"It's a mixture of both Darkus and Pyrus, interesting," Nillious stated.
"Which means, both sides will have an advantage," Leonidas added.
"Doom Card set," Marduk smirked as he tossed the Doom Card onto the field, and it was absorbed into the ground.
"Gate Card set," Judan and Marduk shouted as they tossed their Gate Cards onto the field.

"Gate Card set!" Judai shouted and tossed another Gate Card next to Marduk's.

In a flash of purple light, Gargonoid flew into the air ready for battle, he roared at Siege who readied his spear.

"Gate Card Open! Negative Delta!." Judai said as his gate Card began glowing. "This command card works just like Positive Delta but in reverse."
Gargonoid roared as its power was sapped away from it and was added to Pyrus Siege.

Pyrus Siege rushed forward and stabbed Gargonoid in the chest, the Darkus Bakugan screeched before it returned to ball form and landed at Marduk's feet. Judai caused the Siege however he noticed that Marduk wasn't even phased by the loss.

'That was almost too easy, he has to have some cards that could counter my Gate Cards, it's like he's testing me,' Judai thought, knowing he would have to look for any tricks Marduk might pull.
"What's wrong Judai?" Marduk asked in a mocking tone.
"Not a thing," Judai frowned. "Bakugan Brawl!" he shouted and tossed Pyrus Siege onto his first gate card. "Siege Stand!"
In a flash of red light, Pyrus Siege reappeared ready for battle.

"Time for some fun," Marduk smirked. "Bakugan Brawl!" he shouted throwing his second Bakugan to the gate card Siege was on. "Rise, Darkus Apollyon!"
Appearing in a flash of purple light was a skeletal warrior-like Bakugan that resemble a Viking wielding a lance and shield.

"I've never seen a Bakugan like that before," Judai said in shock at the sight of the Bakugan before him.
"It's an Apollyon, they are one of the toughest Bakugan but to see one on Earth is surprising," Nillious said.
"It doesn't matter, Gate Card Open! Volcanic Lake!" Judai shouted as the Gate card glowed. "This Gate Card grants all Pyrus Bakugan 200gs,"

"Ability Activate! Dark Merger, this ability not only nullifies your gate card, but it also subtracts 100gs from the opponent," Marduk explained.
Suddenly Judai's gate card turned gray indicating that it was nullified, and Siege's power had not only returned to normal but was transferred to Apollyon.

Apollyon then began to charge up energy in his lance, before he thrust it forward unleashing a powerful purple beam that hit Siege hard before he was sent into the Doom Dimension.
"No," Judai gritted his teeth seeing his Bakugan sent to the Doom Dimension.

Marduk caught Apollyon and smirked. "I expect more from you but I see you are nothing at all,"
"I'm not done yet," Judai said calmly.
"You soon will be," Marduk said before tossing down a gate card next to his first one. "Bakugan Brawl!" he tossed Apollyon onto his first gate card. "Apollyon Stand,"

"Well, go on boy." Nillious taunts. "I'm waiting."
"Be careful what you wish for," Marduk smirked. "Ability Activate Shadow Shockwave!"

Apollyon gathered energy in his lance before thrusting it forward unleashing a purple beam at Nillious.
"Ability Activate! Pact of Darkness!" Judai said as he held up an ability card.
The attack had gone through Nillious like a ghost before he vanished completely. Which left Marduk shocked.
"What happened?" Marduk questioned in shock
Nillious then reappeared. And he had no sign or any sign of any kind of damage on him. "Is that all you got?" Nillious asked.
"Pact of Darkness is an ability unique to Nillious it nullifies the opponent's abilities and prevents them from activating new ones plus it transfers 100gs from the opponent to Nillious," Judai explained.

Nillious then rushed forward and delivered a punch to Apollyon's face sending him flying before he turned to ball form and landed behind Marduk who looked back at his defeated Bakugan.

"Let me face Vladitor," Leonidas said, ready to fight.
"Sure, I'll set up the field," Judai said as he held up a gate card. "Gate card Set!" Judai shouted as he threw down his last gate card. "Bakugan Brawl!" he shouted, throwing Leonidas onto his Gate Card.
"Leonidas stand!" Judai shouted.

Judai gritted his teeth. 'I thought he was strong before, but with the effect of the battlefield powering him up, this could get dicey,' he had to be careful because one wrong move and Leonidas would be taking a one-way trip to the Doom Dimension.
Leonidas roared in rage at Vladitor, who remained calm. Wasting no time Leonidas rushed at Vladitor and tried to punch him, only for the Darkus Bakugan to catch his hand, making him gasp.
"Is that you got? I was expecting more of a challenge," Vladitor mocked before he kneed Leonidas in the chin with his right knee and delivered a powerful headbutt making the Pyrus Bakugan stagger backward.
"Judai, the Gate card, hurry," Nillious said
"I know, Gate Card open! Character!" Judai shouted as he revealed Leonidas's Character card

Vladitor threw a punch at Leonidas who caught the punch. "My turn!" Leonidas roared, as he slashed upward and claw Vladitor in the chin before he rammed him with his horn pushing him back.
"Hahahaha, that's more like it," Vladitor laughed. "You have intrigued me to no end Leonidas!" he yelled as his body was engulfed in negative energy, the ability card Marduk was holding had disintegrated, shocking both battlers.
"You want to be intrigued then I'll end you right here and now!" Leonidas roared as he was engulfed in red energy.

Leonidas flew into the air before he fired a powerful blast of energy from his maw. While Vladitor gathered up an orb of dark energy in his hand and fired at Leonidas' attack. Both attacks collided, the force of the attacks was causing the battlefield to shake, and lightning struck all throughout the battlefield.
"What's going on?" Judai asked.
"The force of those attacks are causing this dimension to become unstable," Nillious answered.
"Crush 'em Vaditor!" Marduk shouted.
"Don't give up, Leo!" Judai shouted.
Both Bakugan added even more into their attacks, however, cracks began to form throughout the dimension and the tremors were getting worse both battlers could barely keep their balance. Just then the attacks explode making both Judai and Marduk brace themselves as they were thrown back.
Judai opened his eyes and could see he was back in the park, he looked over to see Marduk who was confused by what had happened.
"You're tough, but not tough enough," Judai said, clenching his fist.
"Heh, me and Vladitor are just warming up," Marduk smirked, not even fazed.
"Now I realize what makes you different from the other, Leonidas, you're from the Doom Dimension," Vladitor said, which shocked both Judai and Nillius.
"Leonidas from the doom dimension?" Judai asked, looking at the secondary partner confused.
"So that's where he came from?" Nillious stated.
"I sensed the connection immediately and I should know I was trapped there for eons," Vladitor said.
"Leonidas?" Judai uttered.
"You and I are the same Leonidas, born of darkness," Vladitor said.
Judai then held his arm in front of Leonidas. "He's nothing Vladitor,"
Vladitor just ignored Judai. "Think it over Leonidas, in your heart you know the truth, find me if you admit it," Vladitor said as he and Marduk vanished in an orb of darkness.
With them gone, for now, Judai turned to Leonidas. "Leonidas, he's lying right?" he asked, hoping what Vladitor said wasn't true.
"It is true," Leonidas admitted with his back turned to Judai. "I was born from the hate and despair of the Bakugan locked deep within the Doom Dimension, all I wanted was to take my anger out on other Bakugan. But I changed since meeting you,"
"Really?" Judai asked.
"Yes, thanks to you, Eva, Alice, Nillious, and all the others, I learned the importance of friendship and trust," Leonidas said.
"I'm glad to hear that." Judai smiled.
"Even though I didn't trust you, and even now hearing you were born in the Doom Dimension. I consider you a friend," Nillious admitted.
"Thanks, both of you," Leonidas said, grateful to them for trusting him despite now knowing his origins.
Judai then looked up to the sky, the future was full of unknowns. But he knew that he wouldn't face it alone, he would have Nillious and Leo along with all of his friends and family to face it together.

Both Alisa and Juri were at the lab. And inside one of the lab's chambers was some kind of creature flowing in a green liquid, Alisa smirked at the sight of the creature all the months of gathering data, all the years of studying Bakugan genetics before her was the pinnacle of BioMechanics, the birth of a new species of Bakugan.
"Very good, Project Biogan is progressing nicely," Alisa smirked. "How long until he is fully developed?"
"In a matter of minutes." a male scientist answered, smirking
"That soon?" Juri asked, surprised.
"Yes, it depends on how much effort there was put in creating the species," the male scientist answered.
"I see." Alisa smiled, pleased with this knowledge
"And what species is this one mistress?" Juri asked.
"Aquos Megalosmasher!" Alisa answered.
Just then Mei Ling walked into the lab, holding several bags in hand. She then bowed. "Sorry if I interrupt your time mother,"
"Not at all, Mei" Alisa smirked. "So how was the battle with Marucho and Eva?"
"It could have been better," Mei Ling shrugged her shoulders. "After the battle, I decided to have some fun before coming back. I also brought some souvenirs for everyone,"
"Really? Well, that's very thoughtful of you Mei." Juri smiled at her adopted daughter.
"Yeah, I got some curry buns, onigiri, Yakisoba buns, and Instant Ramen for everyone. I also got some jewels for the girls including you both. I got Arthur a new book, Claude I got him a new suit, for Asch that new game he's been wanting, and Leona a new rare kabuki doll, for that bitch Vivian I got her that stupid make-up kit and the fancy dress she wanted, for Yukito and Yukina I bought them matching Kimonos, for Roselyn I got her a golden rose pendant, I got Travis some new tools for his work, for that bastard Valon I got him a pair of used gym shorts, I barely know what Magnus wants but I think he'll like this new trench coat that will go with his outfits,"
"That's very nice," Alisa smirked.
"Oh, I got these for you two," Mei Ling smiled as she reached into the bags and pulled out two photos. "Since you like wolves, I got you a picture of baby wolves," Mei Ling said, giving Juri the pictures.
"Why thank you, Mei Ling, it's lovely," Juri smiled while taking the photo.
"And this next was hard to get, but I got a picture of Runo naked in the shower for you," Mei Ling said, giving Alisa the photo.
"Ohhh, you know me so well Mei Ling!" Alisa cooed before bringing Mei Ling into a tight hug.
"Thanks, mother," Mei Ling smiled, happy her adopted mothers loved their gifts. Mei Ling then saw what was in the Lab's chambers and was fascinated by the creature that was inside the chamber. "Whoa, what's this?" Mei Ling asked
"You are looking at years of scientific work paying off, the world's first-ever Bio-Engineered Bakugan, or Biogan for short," Alisa smirked. "This one is called Aquos Megalosmasher, and he is minutes away from completion,"
Mei Ling frowned. "Don't tell me that Vivian will be the first one to receive her Biogan?" Mei Ling asked.
"Why yes," Alisa nodded. "But don't worry, you'll have your own Biogan very soon just wait patiently alright my dear."
"Yes, mother," Mei Ling nodded, before picking up the bags and she left the room.
"That reminds me, has Shiori been transferred yet?" Alisa asked.
Juri nodded. "Yes, she was moved about an hour ago, and they are prepared to begin treatment,"
"Very good, contact Vivian. I have a mission for her," Alisa smirked.
"Yes. mistress," Juri said as she walked out.
Alisa turned to the chamber where Megalosmasher was in and smirked. 'Hehehe, this is the dawn of the era, the era of Alisa,' Alisa smirked as she gave her wolfish grin
