Summary: They both received their name from the same woman.

Disclaimer: I don't own any of these characters, but I'd feel pretty fantastic about myself if I did.

Warning: There's a hint at kind of a big spoiler for the game in this one. So if you haven't finished the game, you've been warned.

Dry Heaves

"Life keeps tumbling your heart in circles. Until you shed your pride, you climb to heaven, and you throw yourself off. Now you're out there spinning in the deep."

"In the Deep" by Bird York

Dew formed on the grassy lot outside, and morning fog clouded the windows so that the morning sun could only present itself in a mere glow. At least for now.

His hazy mind slowly oriented as he felt her stir to consciousness, and smile against his bare shoulder. He turned, reached over, and gingerly kissed her pale forehead before tucking it under his chin. "It's morning," He mumbled.

There was silence, until he felt her inhale against his collarbone. "It is, isn't it." Her soft voice scarce from morning fatigue. She pulled herself up so her forehead almost met his. "And you have my name now."

Coarse, hard fingers grazed flaxen hair. "I do," He stated simply. Her meek, delicate blue eyes held his. And with that, he kissed her.

As a small girl, Chris was not well aware of her mother's state. Sometimes she awoke to a tender kiss on the cheek, sometimes a hug, and sometimes to the sound of retching dry heaves.

And now here he sat, the very same room as Chris Lightfellow, the daughter of Wyatt Lightfellow, and the daughter of himself.

He couldn't help but to wonder if she realized that though she had inherited her skill from him, her name was her mother's.

A/N: Kind of pointless, but my stuff usually is.

I was looking for inspiration for a fic when I read something on Wyatt Lightfelow on SARS. I just found it interesting.

"He married Anna Lightfellow ( It is assumed he received his last name from her), and had a daughter, Chris Lightfellow."

If you've read this far, thank you! If there's any mistakes (I tried to be more careful in this one), please let me know.
