Daniel Granger was having a very mixed sort of day.

His daughter was getting married.

He had tried to be threatening when his daughter's boyfriend- he felt very weird when he thought about that- had asked for his daughter's hand in marriage.

But it was hard being threatening if said boyfriend was a war hero, wait no that'd be an understatement. He defeated Voldemort, probably the darkest dark lord in existence.

So he embraced the love that he'd seen between the two. Not hard to do really, Harry Potter was a great match for Hermione Granger. I mean, the Boy-Who-Lived was fated to be with The-Brightest-Witch-Of-Her, and it was meant literally.

There was a prophecy about the two of them, made by Luna Lovegood. One of Hermione's best friends. And her matron of honour.

"Lady Ravenclaw and Lord Slytherin, bonded by fate, a girl who blossomed like a flower and a boy who grew up too quick, would change magical society forever. A muggle-born and a half-blood, head of dormant houses, one by blood and one by conquest."

Hermione was not a believer in prophecies but it was done by Luna, a true Seer. Harry had been annoyed, but it was Luna in the end, his kind of god-sister-in-law. Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom had done the godbrother ritual, but that was a story for another day.

So they both, along with Ginny, Luna and Neville had gone to Gringotts to do a heritage test. I mean, the Ministry Of Magic had suggested doing tests after the Second Wizarding War. A lot of muggleborns had turned out to be heads of dormant houses, but none of them had felt a need to do heritage tests.

The results were not really surprising. Luna was Lady Lovegood now, along with Neville as Lord Longbottom. Ginny was Heir to the Most Noble House Of Weasley, although it wasn't ancient. Why she got the heirship instead of her brothers was something that only Arthur, Bill and Ginny herself would know but after all these years, the house of Weasley was finally not patriarchal.

When Harry got his result, there was chaos in the bank. Harry was Lord Potter-Slytherin-Black, Lord Of Slytherin by conquest. It created quite the uproar.

Hermione's was the most jawbreaking though. When Silverclaws, one of the goblins, had returned with her test and she read it, she cried. Lady Ravenclaw or Lady Dagworth-Granger was not anything she expected. But when she read that she was directly descended from Merlin himself, the press had a field day.

It had ended the pureblood bigots. Even after war, a lot of purebloods still believed in blood purity and as such, there had been a mess. A lot of them claimed the tests were wrong but when the royal orb in the Wizengamot had glowed periwinkle blue, proving that she was the queen of magical Britain now, not many took it well.

She was effectively more powerful than the Minister of Magic, a position she won in the next election.

So, Daniel Granger concluded, that his daughter and soon-to-be-husband were probably gonna be the power couple of a country and he decided that if that was how his daughter was happy, he'd take it.

Minerva Mcgonagall had seen the way Harry and Hermione looked at each other. Both her star students, and she felt like every time she saw them together, it was like they radiated an aura full of love.

She remembered the feeling of love all too well, and she saw glad that people who had fought so much were finally getting the happiness they deserved

A rebel without a clue, that's what Sirius Black had been. Till the Potters took him in, anyways. When he had realized that the two kids who had saved him from a fate worse than death were getting married, he took a long breath. And he finally realized what the golden aura of light that had surrounded Harry and Hermione when they saved him had meant.

A soul-bond not trigger by a kiss, but a feeling so powerful to keep the other safe from any danger.

Luna Lovegood-Longbottom was a very stressed out maid of honor. The wedding reception area had been filled with Nargles, but her husband Neville, Harry's best man had assured her that they were just there to bless the ceremony.

Luna, remembered how her own wedding had been filled with Nargles and she smiled a tad bit, realizing that Hermione would not take that well, so she just decided to keep it that bit to herself.

Ginny Weasley felt, well, weird. Being Hermione's maid of honor along with Luna had not been an easy task even though the tasks were split between the three.

She remembered the short time she dated Harry, how she realized she wasn't the one meant for him. How it was crystal clear that Hermione and Harry were essentially soulmates.

She wanted to give her best friend the perfect wedding, and so she tried.

Lily Potter remembered the day she and James got married. She had seen the look on Euphemia Potter's face, the way she looked so elated and sad. She had always wondered if she would ever understand that feeling, now she did and it was very confusing. It was her finally accepting that her only child had grown up and there was nothing she could do to stop it. But there was something else she could do and she started fixing her soon-to-be-daughter-in-law's veil, she whispered words that meant more than anything to Hermione.

"I thought I lost him to you, Hermione. You were one of the few people who saw my son for what he was, a boy exploited by life. I'm glad he looked past your bossy and smart façade and found a girl so divine. Today, I realized that I didn't lose him, he just found someone who he'd sync with in perfect harmony. Thank you, for being Harry's point of all this living."
