I have changed the order of events to go along with my story. So if some situations seem to be out of order from the TV series to you, they are. I did it on purpose for the benefit of my story. In this Chapter S1 E12 (The Defiant One) two teams went to the planet since it was a 15 hour trip and Doctor Weir wanted to be cautious even though the planet was thought to be unoccupied.
Lieutenant Ford was being fed on by the Wraith when the others managed to kill the Wraith by firing at it's head from all sides and Ford got injected by the Wraith drug by accident at that time. Noticing that there was something off about Ford, John managed to knock Ford unconscious and take him back to Atlantis with them. Ford escaped during the storm S1 E10 when Atlantis was being emptied which happens in this Chapter.
Chapter Nine
Walking into the weapons laboratory I knew that things could go seriously wrong if I tried to do anything without actually knowing what the notes said to do so I started learning the Ancient's language thanks to Daniel Jackson's notes.
After I had a decent grasp of the language I began to translate the notes that the Ancients had written for their weapons and used their blueprints as well which were very helpful in the long run.
As I worked, the concept of time seemed to vanish as I got into a rough schedule between sleeping when I was at the point of exhaustion where I couldn't read things straight anymore to build the weapons and running up and checking on the plants and writing down highly detailed notes with sketches of the various weapons. All the while I secretly worked on making my mind immune to Yoda's influence.
I know she didn't think I noticed but I could feel her presence in my head replacing my thoughts the moment I began to think about my brother, Teyla or Doctor Weir. Bringing something else to my attention the moment I started thinking about heading towards the mess hall with the others in Atlantis. Instead I slept, ate, used the bathroom, showered and changed all in the weapons lab.
After I had completed building a rough estimation of three hundred of each of the twelve weapons that the Ancients had carried with them to new planets I thought I would be able to finally mingle with the other living people in Atlantis however Yoda had other plans.
"Where are you heading? Now that you are done with the handheld weapons you need to start working on the biological weapons that we were working on to destroy the Wraith or possibly just stop them from feeding on humans." Yanva said as soon as I left the weapons lab and started towards the nearest transporter.
Groaning out loud I sighed and used the transporter to take me up to the correct floor level. On the way I passed through a large glass hallway and was amazed to see a huge storm heading directly towards Atlantis.
"Hey Atlantis will be safe right?" I asked Yanva worriedly as I paused and stared out at the storm. It was so large that it covered the entire horizon. I had never seen a storm so large before but I knew what damage a much smaller storm could cause.
"Atlantis has many fail-safe's in place for every possible danger and we are aware of this storm it happens every thirty years." Yanva replied, answering me without really answering me which concerned me but I figured she wouldn't just let me die as there was apparently still a lot that she wanted me to do so I let it go and continued to the laboratory.
Walking into the large bio lab I realized that all of the cabinets seemed to be made of glass which made me twitchy because glass was a lot more breakable then wood, or metal but I shrugged off the feeling and went to the nearest computer to start reading the notes.
All of the sudden as I was reading I felt every hair on my body stand up and a feeling of dread then the unmistakable sound of breaking glass and blackness enveloped me.
Waking up I couldn't hold in the whimpers as pain surged it's way through my body even the feeling of the blood pulsing through my veins was painful.
"What happened?" I wondered as I slowly began to wake up hoping Yanva would answer me. I twitched startled as a cumulation of voices both low and high pitched responded.
"Randy Anya Sheppard. You have become one with Atlantis and taken on the many of the physical characteristics of those you call the Ancient's. The cause of this was Yanva who was a distant ancestor of yours. She interfered with your mental functions at the same time you got struck by jolts of lightning and various DNA altering chemicals due to being in the glass laboratory when the storm hit. You managed to fight her off mentally but the lightning strike fused your minds together. Her consciousness is dead but you've retained all of her memories and knowledge. As it happens Yanva was the last fully functional Ancient brain that ran the city; the rest of the minds will now only obey your orders. Since your DNA has been altered you may in the close future acquire some powers. It is entirely possible that your body will continue to develop new abilities the longer you live." The melody of voices said which brought to mind multiple questions and fears that apparently the voices didn't care about as they continued to speak,
"Your physical body has been asleep for a few weeks while adjusting to all of the changes, in order to make sure no-one was alerted to your absence we have continued to dampen the knowledge of your existence that Yanva had started. Your body has been kept safe by Atlantis itself as you are now one with it; this is something you must never forget. Once you fully awake we will cease to dampen the awareness of your existence and you will most likely be sought out."
Surprised and confused by all the information that was pouring into my head as the symphony of mental voices ceased it took me a few hours to process everything but when I had I jerked upwards into a sitting position. Ignoring the fact that every nerve in my body was hollering at me in pain I attempted to situate myself. Realizing that I was in no condition to walk or even crawl towards the nearest transporter I gave up and laid back down.
As I willed my body to heal faster I became aware of an ability that I now possessed. I could transport myself anywhere inside of Atlantis that I wanted to just by mentally willing myself there.
