A/N: Sorry about this chapter being so short, the past two weeks have been insanely busy for me, but I wanted to get this chapter published!

A/N: I don't own Pokemon!

Chapter 9

Some time later, Wendy and Kellyn got a few more Pokémon added to their Browser and as their Friend Pokémon. Wendy went ahead and called Luana to see where they were at, once she knew their location, Kellyn and Wendy headed towards to the center of Pueltown.

A few minutes later and everyone had met up in the center where there was a large fountain Mr. Caplan had four Pokémon, two Growlithe and two Drifloon. Linda and Marcus both got a Pikachu each, along with a few Gastly and Gengar.

"Alright, we all got quite an assortment of Pokémon here! Now then, I'll have my Kadabra use Teleport so that we can continuously bring Pokémon from here to the Ranger School! How does that sound to everyone?" Mr. Caplan said as everyone nodded and agreed.

"Good idea, it'll make things easier for all of us!" Marcus said as everyone handed over their captured Pokémon to Mr. Caplan.

Mr. Caplan took out a Pokéball and released a Kadabra out, with the Psychic Pokémon thrilled to be helping its Trainer out.

"I'll be back in a few minutes, no worries guys!" Mr. Caplan said as he ordered his Pokémon to use Teleport, and he soon disappeared in a flash of bright light.

The Student Rangers took a break and rested their feet, with Mr. Caplan teleporting back as they all stood back up once more.

"I went ahead and distributed the Pokémon throughout Pueltown! Are you guys ready to keep going?" Mr. Caplan asked as everyone nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, we are, let's keep moving!" Marcus said.

A few hours had passed and the group got Pokémon with Mr. Caplan helping them teleport the Pokémon back and forth. All the while however, a figure was stalking them and taking out photos the entire time. Seeing that it was getting late, Mr. Caplan and the rest of the group went to the entrance of Pueltown, and the instructor grinned at the good work they had done.

"I can't believe we managed to accomplish something of this feat. But don't you think the residents will notice some of the Pokémon in town are gone?" Kellyn asked.

"Thankfully, with how vast of an ecosystem Pokémon have, it wouldn't be an issue. If there were a group of say, Conkeldurr, inside a forest and one gets captured, then eventually, another would take its place. Basically, there's no need to worry about taking Pokémon away from an area that they've been in for so long, as they'll quickly adapt to their new location." Mr. Caplan said.

"I didn't know you were a ecologist, Mr. Caplan!" Luana joked as the professor gave a bashful smile.

"Haha, I'm not, but I just like to learn a little bit about everything! Now then, it's getting late. Do you guys want me to teleport us all back, or just walk back?" Mr. Caplan asked as everyone looked at one another.

"We're all pretty exhausted, if it's okay with your Kadabra, we'll teleport back." Wendy said.

Mr. Caplan prompted his Kadabra to use Teleport, and with a quick flash of light, everyone was brought back to the entrance of the dorm building.

"Alright, now that that's settled, I'll be turning in for the night. Glad I could help you guys out, though it certainly wasn't what I was expecting to do tonight!" Mr. Caplan said with a smile.

"We all appreciate it, thanks professor!" Luana said.

"It was no problem guys, I'll be heading to my house in Pueltown. Have a good night!" Mr. Caplan said as he bid farewell to the group and teleported away.

"We'll be going now too guys, this was really fun; better than the usual studying!" Luana said.

"Yeah, it was nice to get another opportunity to put our skills to the test, night guys!" Wendy said as Marcus and Luana bid farewell to the duo and headed upstairs.

Kellyn turned to Wendy, a slight blush on his face as he looked into her eyes. Struggling to find words he could tell her, Kellyn internally breathed a sigh of relief as Wendy gave him that smile he fell in love with.

"Do you want me to walk with you upstairs?" Wendy asked as Kellyn smiled.

"Of course I do, I wouldn't have it any other way!" Kellyn said.

The duo entered inside the dorm building and headed up the building, soon reaching outside of their respective rooms. Wendy leaned in close to Kellyn, her mouth close to his ear.

"We did a lot today, thank you so much for helping us with getting Pokémon inside the Ranger School." Wendy whispered as Kellyn became flustered.

"N-no problem, I'm glad to help you out! Friends should always be there for one another! It was great we got so many Pokémon here." Kellyn said.

"That's right, and it wouldn't have been possible if not for all of us teaming up. Though Mr. Caplan tagging along with us was a pleasant surprise." Wendy said.

"Exactly, he helped us out a lot too. I was glad you were my partner though, I really felt at ease." Kellyn said as Wendy blushed.

"I-I'm happy to hear that! W-well I won't keep you held up any longer, I'll be turning in for the night! Good night Kellyn!" Wendy said as Kellyn said his farewells to her, and she hurried inside her bedroom, while Kellyn scratched the back of his head.

'Well that was certainly interesting…I've seen Wendy get flustered every so often, but it was really cute seeing her get like that up close. It could be coincidental, but I also don't want to simply assume she likes me, and asking Wendy directly might just make things awkward. I'll try to see if I can figure out how she feels. For now though, I'm exhausted so I may as well head to sleep.' Kellyn thought as he went into his bedroom.

- - Meanwhile, in Principal Kincaid's Office –

"…I hope this is important. I need to get my rest you know." Kincaid said as the figure with the grayish black cloak removed the hood, revealing themselves to be none other than Linda.

"You don't think I'd bother you at this hour for something petty, right? Take a look at these photos." Linda said as she placed photos down on Kincaid's desk.

"…What…are these…are these photos you took of Kellyn and some other students?" Kincaid asked as Linda grinned.

"That's right…even better, one of them looks like a teacher. Out of the five people there, none of them noticed me." Linda said as Kincaid carefully examined the photos.

"Hrm, I see…so these four students were capturing Pokémon, while the teacher would have his Pokémon teleport them back to the Ranger School. Ah…I recognize this teacher…very interesting…I'll speak with him Sunday." Kincaid said.

"Did I do good?" Linda asked.

"Very good, I'll see if I can convince the two people I recognize in these photos to squeal on who the other people are." Kincaid said as Linda made a slight gasp.
"I'm looking a bit more carefully now, but I see that the person with the green hair is a woman named Wendy. Keith's mentioned her to me a few times as someone who's taken an interest in Kellyn." Linda said.

"How peculiar…nice work. I'll talk to them on Sunday, since that's when they next have classes. After all, with today being Wednesday, it wouldn't make much sense to speak with them first thing tomorrow morning." Kincaid said as Linda gave him a confused look.

"Huh?! Why not?" Linda asked.

"Because if you have them with a false sense of security, then they won't expect it. If I were to speak with everyone involved tomorrow and give them a warning or scare them in some other way, then that alone would have them on edge! For the time being, I'd rather not have them feel like you followed them to see what they were doing…I'd rather make them feel like their little mission went without a problem." Kincaid said.

"I understand…I'll be going now." Linda said as she left the room.

"She did a good job…I won't do anything too extreme to them…or I just might." Kincaid said as he left his office to go to his bedroom.
