Chapter Twelve

"Your here." Doctor Weir said, sounding surprised as she walked into her office.

"I'm many things but I do try not to be a liar." I replied with a shrug of my shoulders as I sat down in the chair across from her desk.

"I see. So I've heard a lot of interesting things about you and I'm not sure where to start with the questions. Why don't you explain to me everything that has happened to you since you entered Atlantis?" She asked as she sat down across from me.

"I'll do my best." I told her honestly before taking a moment to organize my thoughts,

"When I first exited the Stargate I got the strange feeling that someone was watching me but I brushed it off as jitters from being in a whole new galaxy and on an alien planet. Not wanting to stand still I went exploring and I found a hallway that wasn't lit up yet. Being the curious person I am, I decided to explore it and that's when I found out that we were underwater. I wanted to tell John immediately but my sense of direction isn't really good inside of buildings-which is odd because I'm awesome at directions outdoors...anyway I ended up getting lost and almost slamming head first into a wall. I managed to catch myself but was surprised when the wall lit up and there was a little pinch on my index fingers. I started to push myself back up when the wall opened up and I lost my balance and fell forward into darkness, the last thought I remember was actually from the woman who then possessed me. Do you remember talking to her?" I asked Doctor Weir, ignoring John, Tayla and my two soulmates who had entered Doctor Weir's office not two seconds after I had started talking and were listening to everything I was saying.

There was a brief moment of silence as Doctor Weir thought about my question, "Yes, she seemed helpful but there was something about her that just made me feel that she wasn't being completely honest with me." Doctor Weir recalled.

"Your instincts were dead on but I'm getting ahead of myself...Right so after I raised Atlantis, thanks to her, I got the feeling that she was going to be sticking around in my head for a while. After talking with her I found out that that was in fact the case which was more than a little weird for me. John can tell you even back on Earth when I would read the X-Men comics, just the thought of people being in your brain whenever they wanted creeped me out. Anyway, she came to an agreement with me. The agreement was she would only appear in my head whenever she believed I would need her, or if I called her name which she had just given to me. I had just felt her mental presence disappear when I heard someone holler out that there was a wormhole incoming." I said, pausing for a minute to breathe and let them soak in what I was telling them.

"I remember, that's when John brought the Athosians over with him after having been caught in a crossfire with the Wraith." Doctor Weir as she motioned for me to continue.

"Yes. Everything was fine after that until you and I went to talk privately. I don't know how much you remember of that conversation but that's when I gave you the layouts to the various rooms in this building." I said, curious to see if Yanva had completely wiped that conversation out of Doctor Weir's mind or if since Yanva's mental death, Doctor Weir might have been able to fully remember it now.

Doctor Weir frowned slightly as she obviously tried to recall that conversation.

"No. Everything's fuzzy like a static filled TV screen. I remember being at the celebration party and then the next thing I remember is handing drawn layouts of the building to John and asking him to distribute the layouts to the rest of the security team to have them searched before anyone could move into them." She finally said.

"Okay. Let's call the Ancient Y for now. Y had mentally manipulated you so you would allow me to work alone. I thought that she had done something however I didn't attempt to stop her from doing it as I wanted to get all of the weapons done in order to keep everyone safe. As I went about trying to do everything myself I became aware that Y was also messing with my head. And seeing as how she had completely overwhelmed me mentally and had taken physical possession of my body before I was extremely worried and angry at the realization that she could do it again. Thanks to some timely memories of our mother though, I realized that I did have a way to fight her off and I started to slowly build up my mental resistance. I don't know if you were all here during the storm that happens every 30 years but when the storm happened I was struck by lightning and a lot of chemicals from the biochemical laboratory that I was in. It was also at this time that Y tried to take over my body. I managed to fight her off and 'kill' her mentally but the lightning fused us together so I have all of her memories and her knowledge. That's where this takes a science fiction-like turn." I said, biting my lip as I thought about all of the changes that had happened to me and my body in the last couple of weeks.

Shaking myself out of my thoughts I continued my explanation,

"Upon waking up from my exhausting mental battle I found my body was in agony going through a lot of physical changes as well thanks to the chemicals that I was exposed to that were fused with my DNA during the lightning strike. I also found out upon waking up that Y had been the last fully sentient brain left here in Atlantis. Don't freak out but there is a group of Ancient brains that are connected to Atlantis that actually turn on the lights and cause things to start up without your involvement with them. Okay you can freak out I was more than a little grossed out to learn that but apparently it was an honor to be chosen to be one of the ones to watch over Atlantis. Which is just stupid to me but its not my life so whatever. Anyway, I am now the only sentient brain connected to Atlantis. Obviously I'm still fully alive and I don't plan on dying any time soon….although come to think of it apparently I won't be dying for a couple of thousand years anyway due to the alteration of my body's genetic makeup….." My thoughts once again took me down a rabbit hole and I trailed off into my thoughts again.

"Randy, focus. You were saying you're now the singularly fully sentient brain that's helping power Atlantis?" John's voice pulled me back to reality.

"Right, anyway, now I have full access to every part of it including it's huge database. That's the reason I fainted by the way my body and brain were still in the process of re-wiring whenever I appeared behind Doctor Weir and you, John." I said recalling how I had fainted which made my brain immediately think of the food I had eaten upon waking up and my stomach let out a loud hungry grumble.

"Any chance I can get something to eat before we continue this conver- Oh! I ended up buying 674 different types of seeds back on Earth and I planted them in the greenhouse here in Atlantis. They are now all ready to be harvested right now-... I would really love some coffee and a chocolate cake smothered with whipped-buttercream icing and topped with strawberries and blueberries and maybe some raspberries….mmmmm" I trailed off at the thought of the delicious food I was describing.
