Chapter Fourteen

Finishing my third tray full of food I wiped my mouth and drank the last of my water with a happy sigh, feeling content as I enjoyed the feeling of actually being full from actual food.

"You know you need to talk to them right?" John said as he leaned forward across the table so he could be heard over the loud tables on either side of us. Causing me to flicker my eyes to my two soulmates who had entered the mess hall during my first tray of food.

"I know it's just..." Pursing my lips I squared my shoulders and stood up with John immediately following suit.

"Okay let's do this! John, will you please introduce me to my soulmates?" I asked and as the last word left my mouth my brother had grabbed me by my shoulders and was pushing me forward towards my soulmates.

"We're doing this before you change your mind or disappear." John said as he continued to push me along until we came to stand right in front of my two soulmates.

"Guys this is my twin sister Randy. Randy, this is Ronan Dex and Rodney McKay. I'll be waiting out in the hall whenever you're done talking." John said, gesturing to each guy as he introduced them before turning and quickly walking away.

"So Ronan is the one with the dreadlocks and Rodney is the smart and sarcastic looking one. Good to know." Nodding to each of them I decided to just talk instead of waiting awkwardly for them to speak so our soulmate bond would be complete.

"Hello Ronan, Rodney. I'm sorry about running away so much I just- well our mother suffered a lot because of our dad who was her soulbond and I saw just how badly she was suffering and it kind of freaked me out about the whole soulbond thing. I honestly didn't expect to find the two of you here in another Galexy but I'm sure as we get to know each other my fears will be put to rest. John hasn't said a bad word about the two of you which means that he most likely trust the two of you so and if does that means I can too. It will probably take me a little while to get used to this, as I'm sure it will take the two of you." I said, feeling the need to explain myself a little.

However before either of them could speak there was a loud noise from the hallway where John was waiting for me and Ronan and Rodney exchanged a look that made me curious before I realized that they were probably wearing comms and had heard the reason for the loud noise in the hallway. Ronan didn't say anything but he nodded to me and took off towards the hallway leaving Rodney and me alone.

Curious about what was going on I was going to ask Rodney about it but he gestured for me to follow him as he quickly began to walk the opposite direction that Ronan had ran. Worried about my little brother but knowing that he could take care of himself I followed Rodney curiously and was surprised when we stopped in the control room which was deserted, why I didn't know.

"Rodney, why are we here?" I asked, having not felt any sort of attack or warning of an attack from Atlantis which made me think that whatever was going on had something to do with one or more of the people living here in Atlantis.

A sense of danger ran down my spine and glancing around I felt my eyes widen when I saw a somewhat familiar young man come running towards Rodney and me with a gun and knife in his hands and a wild look in his eyes, one of which was pure black. Realizing that Rodney and I were in danger I grabbed Rodney and moved him behind me causing him to utter,

"What are you doing?!" Which completed one of my soulbonds, an odd feeling that I quickly shoved to the side to examine later.

"Look nobody act stupid! I just want you to send me off to another planet. You can do that McKay. As soon as I get through it okay I'll let her go unharmed." The guy said in a slightly hysterical sounding voice as he pointed the gun at me.

"Ford you know that this is stupid! You're hyped up on the Wraith drug!" Rodney replied sounding incredulous and a bit scared as he stepped around me keeping his movements nice and slow with his hands in the air.

"You don't want to do this, Aiden." John's voice said from behind me, causing Aiden to hurriedly take the last five steps towards Rodney and me and shoved Rodney to the ground while grabbing me and twisting me around using me as a cover as he pressed the knife firmly against my throat while pulling me backwards so that Rodney was now infront of us. I watched John slowly walking towards Aiden and me being followed by Ronan, Teyla and several other soldiers.

"Look I get it. No one here believes me and that's fine I'm done trying to prove it's true. Just dial out the Stargate and as soon as I know the other planet is livable I'll push her back through unharmed." Aiden said, pressing the knife harder into my neck and I felt a trickle of blood run down my throat as I watched Rodney who looked angry and worried and glanced back at Ronan and John whose faces were as dark as storm clouds as they stopped moving forward.

I would have put my 17 years of MMA and Kick-boxing to use as soon as I was within range of Aiden however I was a little off my game although I could do use my skills now I was unsure of what to do I used my hands to 'speak' to John in sign language that we had mastered at the age of seven.

He has a gun pressed into my back, if you guys don't move and he shoots when I move he could kill someone and if I just disappear I'm pretty sure he will kill someone. - R

Can you transport him like you do yourself? -J

I hadn't thought about that so I held up a finger for him to give me a minute while I connected with Atlantis to see if that was a possibility. As it turned out only those with the Ancient DNA could use the transportation elevators and only I could instantly transport anywhere in Atlantis because of the large change in my DNA.

No. If you open the Stargate like he wants I can disarm him on the other side and come back through with him unconscious. -R

I could see that John didn't like it but he gave me a slight nod to let me know he would go with my plan.

"Rodney dial out to the Athosians home planet, that will do, right Aiden?" John said, causing Rodney and Ronan to give him a strange look.

"You heard Sheppard, McKay. Dial us out." Aiden said as he began to move with me as his shield towards the step's as John gestured for all the other's to stand down.

"You want me to stand down and just let him take her?" Ronan asked John, it was the first time I had heard him speak but it wasn't directed to me and it wasn't the right words so our soulmate bond didn't solidify.

"Trust me. Dial out Rodney." John said as we passed everyone with Aiden keeping a firm hold of me, the knife still pressed into my neck while he kept the gun pressed tightly into my side as he kept his arm around my waist.

"Don't worry. I'll be fine." I said, feeling the need to comfort all of them as they all seemed to think this would be the last time we met which made me want to roll my eyes at the melodrama. I was no damsel in distress and John knew it although he still looked worried.

I felt the Stargate turn on and billow out before becoming a calm portal all without seeing it with my physical eyes but seeing it in my mind's eye which was an odd experience but I quickly shook off the weirdness and gave no resistance as I walked backwards towards the Stargate.

Stepping through the Stargate felt strange and unlike the first time I could actually see the wormhole that we were traveling through from one Stargate to the other. The multi-colored lights and stars that lit up the wormhole and the darkness outside of it was beautiful and terrifying as I could now see the creatures that lived in the darkness outside of the wormhole. Most were horrifying but some were beautiful. One by one they seemed to realize that I could see them and they all began to turn their attention towards me causing me to shiver in fear as I realized how helpless I would be against them and then we were stepping out of the Stargate at the other end.

Immediately as I stepped through the Stargate I grabbed the hand around my waist and the other one that was holding the knife at my throat and twisted myself out of them turning Aiden around and shoving him forward before jumping and roundhouse kicking him in the face causing him to fall over unconscious. Not too eager to go back into the wormhole I crouched and picked up the knife and gun before glancing around curious what the planet looked like.

"Just my bloody luck." I said in disbelief and annoyance as I stared at the Wraith darts that were flying high above the planet while a Wraith that had obviously been on the ground looking for humans was charging towards us.

Glancing down at the unconscious Aiden I picked him up and tossed him back through the still activated Stargate so he would arrive back in Atlantis safely while I set my feet and readied myself for a fight.
