First of all I'm sorry but from now on I will only be posting one new chapter a week. Anyway I hope everyone who has favorited me/this story will enjoy this story to the very end. (I'm not sure how long it will be but there's still quite a few things I want to write about so I hope you will all keep reading and reviewing).

Chapter Twenty-Two

Waking up slowly I stared at the night sky I had painted on the ceiling above my bed and felt my thoughts begin to buzz to life. Various plans I had for the day, what day it was, what I should start doing first...

"Stop." I commanded, slowing the racing thoughts to a quick halt while thanking the Lord that it was only my full thoughts and the emotionless information from the other brains of Atlantis. Ever since the day I had been able to rid my brain of the hundreds of various thought processes I came to realize that just my own thought process, a singular one it may be, but it had begun to race just as fast as the ones before making it easy for me to get lost in thought because I could now process all of my thoughts to their completion without forgetting what I was thinking.

Shaking my head I slowed my thought process down and took a few minutes to just enjoy some nice relaxing deep breaths and mental peace.

"The Wraith hive ships have jumped ahead again. The three hive ships will be here in eight to nine hours." The emotionless mental 'voice' of the Atlantis space system alerted me pulling me out of my state of relaxation.

"Oh that's right. That's happening today." I replied out loud in surprise as I rolled over and climbed out of bed and got a quick shower, pulling on a black tank-top and a pair of camouflage pants along with my black combat boots before pulling on the weapons that I had chosen from the ancients selection. Tying my hair up into a bun I slid the two oriental metal hair-sticks into it, they were pretty and they could also act as a weapon for up-close combat.

Taking a deep breath I slowly let it out and walked out of my room, deciding to walk down to the mess hall.

"It's best not to fight on an empty stomach, I hope everyone else realizes that they're going to need food in their stomach's too." I thought as I peered around the empty hallway, seeing as how it was still dark out I had most likely woken up to my inner alarm clock that went off about an hour before dawn which would give me enough time to eat and let the food settle as I did some slow exercises.

Making it to the mess hall I realized that it too was completely silent, everyone who normally worked in there were most likely sleeping due to the orders of Doctor Weir. She wanted everyone to be well-rested so they would have clear minds during today's fight.

Seeing as how I was the first one awake I decided to cook a small breakfast for myself and after a moment of debate I settled on half a dozen berry muffins and a half dozen chocolate chip muffins along with four dippy eggs and some fried potatoes. While I waited for the food to cook I ground up some fresh coffee to drink along with my breakfast which was still cooking when the faint sound of footsteps touched my sensitive ears.

Glancing up I wasn't too surprised to see Doctor Weir enter the mess hall, I had figured she would be one of the first one's awake after me.

"Coffee?" I asked telekinetically bringing a new cup over to me along with the pot.

"Please." Doctor Weir replied with a tired nod. Pouring her a cup I brought over some sugar and the milk since I wasn't sure how she took her coffee. As she fixed it to her liking the over gave a faint beep letting me know it was done.

Since I was busy drinking my coffee I lazily used my telekinesis to pull the hot muffins out of the oven as well as flip the eggs and shake the potatoes so they crisped but didn't stick to the pan.

Getting the butter out of the fridge I brought everything over with an extra plate and fork which I offered to Doctor Weir who gratefully took it and we chose our food and ate in contented silence.

"Thanks for breakfast." Doctor Weir said after she finished eating and pushed her plate away.

"No worries." I replied with a smile picking up what I could while using my telekinesis to grab the rest of the things and take them back into the kitchen so I could start cleaning up the mess.

"How..how are things going? Between the three of you?" Doctor Weir asked after a few minutes of more silence while I cleaned up the dishes.

"..well it's odd for all of us I'm sure. I'm not the easiest person to create an emotional connection with and I have trouble speaking about my past or allowing anyone into my heart so I'm sure both Rodney and Ronan are going to get frustrated with me but I'm hopeful that we will be able to talk through things." I replied honestly, John spoke highly of Doctor Weir and he was an awesome judge of character so I had no qualms about answering her somewhat personal question.

"I see. I could assign you to John's team, you know. So the three of you could get more time together." She offered, her words causing me to pause mid-motion as I washed the frying pan.

"No offense but that's something I should probably talk to them about before doing it. I'd rather not force myself on them." I replied.

"If there's anything I can do to help, let me know." She replied, pouring herself another cup of coffee before giving me a nod and walking away.

"Stay focused Randy. We need to get through today and the fight with the three Wraith hive ships before you start planning anything solid for the future!" I quietly but harshly remined myself as I quickly finished my clean-up and left the kitchen heading for the Main Control room so I could watch the approaching hive ships on the screens.
