Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Tank Terrors. Enjoy the 900-word story. I don't own VK, Sega, Ryutaro Nonaka and Shuntaro Tanaka do.

(Imperial Line.)

Ehren was more caught off guard the more he paused to think about it. The woman in front of him looked more like a dominatrix then a military officer, it wasn't like he could really question it, however. This woman was his superior officer at the moment, so anything he said can and probably would be used against him.

"Which one of you worms is Lieutenant Ehren?" The woman questioned, brushing a hand through her dark locks with all the energy of a wild hound.

Her long blonde hair and dark skin made him question where in the empire this woman was from. A distant sector, perhaps? It wouldn't surprise him if this woman was from outside the empire's normal borders, there was a LOT of land where the empire's factories and military stood proud.

"Right here, ma'am." Ehren said as he stepped forwards towards the woman. "Major Lydia, yes?" Ehren questioned as he paused to think for a moment while he brushed off his officer's uniform.

"You are the engineer and military officer I was sent to collect?" Lydia questioned, dusting off her cap in the process. "Well, them, follow me, and do not follow behind… I will have you shot if you do." Lydia added which got a hum from Ehren who simply stayed silent for several moments.

He was quite curious as he and the woman walked ahead. This woman was nothing like what he expected. Ehren followed her across the base, walking through rows of imperial soldiers from many different divisions. One had to question HOW the empire managed to maintain such a massive standing army when it came down to it. Then again? It made him curious about how there'd be any enemies capable of standing toe to toe with the empire if they had this kind of industry to begin with.

"You are aware of the organization that I am a part of, yes?" Lydia questioned as the duo slowly started to make their way across the courtyard dividing sections of the base.

"Not really, there are plenty of sectors within the imperial military we do not usually seem to understand." Ehren said while he cracked his knuckles and placed his hands in his pockets. "It isn't like they had explained things within the briefing. They had plenty to go over and somethings like that couldn't explain it to begin with." Ehren said as Lydia hummed and stopped for a moment to think.

She looked all over the base. Calamity Raven was a small division within the imperial army. It was going to be far more interesting for what happened next when he came down to think about it.

"Did they even include a summary briefing of things like this?" Lydia questioned while she hummed.

"No, as I just said, it isn't exactly like we have any real briefings for a group JUST placed together." Ehren stated while he hummed and then looked around at all the various soldiers around them. "Are all of these various soldiers' pieces of Calamity Raven? I'm surprised they managed to gather so many personal without a few short days." Ehren said while Lydia rolled her eyes and simply sighed.

It wasn't like she could blame her lieutenants for being slow on the uptake. They did have plenty of others to brief and clearly, they did have things to focus on. This was going to be a big operation anyway and the more time focused upon it? The more time they had to bring to heel other things.

"No, this is for the invasion of Gallia I've been told to brief you upon." Lydia said while looking at her nails with interest. "You cannot be too careful with invasions. We will not be upon the front lines of this conflict, however. We are not a direct military unit despite the equipment and such." Lydia said and brushed off her coat before turning to usher her new subordinate inside.

"We have much more to discuss, however. Inside, I wish to show you something." Lydia said, gazing at her comrade before roughly grabbing him and shoving him through the door.

Ehren blinked but said nothing, glaring around the room before his eyes landed upon something at the other side of the room. It was a tank, but also probably not. It looked as if it dwarfed the very room itself, as if mountains would shatter before the vehicle's approach. Whatever this vehicle was? It was NOT something that Ehren had worked upon before, and now he was quite eager to know HOW it worked.

Lydia noticed the boy's interest in the tank when it came down to it. Still? It was quite curious at the moment what could be done at the time.

She slowly walked towards the vehicle in question as Ehren began to think of what this was.
