Chapter 346.

The sun is shining and everyone is looking forward to spending their very final fun activities at the place, and are going to treasure every moment of it. They all have finished breakfast and are all ready for whatever the day has for them.
Lincoln and Jordan hand their plates over to Clyde, Chloe, Emma, Paige and Renee, they volunteered to clean the plates. "So, what are you guys gonna be doing today?" asked Jordan.
"Chloe and I are gonna hang out with Simon and Stella and help replant some new trees at some areas with no trees" replied Clyde.
"From what we learned, that place was cleared out back during the pioneering days and the area needs it's woods back, otherwise the next rain storm is gonna make things a total disaster for the lake" said Chloe.
"I'm gonna hang with the gals and enjoy the sun, sand and relaxation by the lake side" replied Emma. "And then ride a sail boat with them as well, and chances we might do some canoeing."
"Me and Paige are gonna enjoy some ATV driving with the Great One and along with us are Zach, Liam, Tabby and Giggles" replied Renee.
"Thanks again for having us part of the crew, this is so awesome and we are so enjoying hanging out with you two and all your friends" replied Paige.
Lincoln chuckles. "You girls need friends and we're also glad Hassan is now part of the group too." They all wave to Hassan whose showing Christina and Richie how to operate his little robot drone. "He's a good kid, and an awesome tech expert."
"So, what are you guys planning today? Besides the fact six rich girls aren't gonna be around" replied Chloe. The others chuckle at this, they're happy Leslie and her friends won't be annoying.
Lincoln and Jordan still chuckle at the recall that Leslie and her friends are out of commission for the whole day. "Well, we were thinking of spending some strolls by the lake side for a while, this is our last day here and we wanna make it as memorable as our stay at Lake Eddy, and then we're gonna take a dip in the lake by the shallows" replied Jordan.
"Even though I have crutches, I can still be able to take a nice dip in the water, and it helps keep me balanced when I walk in the shallows" said Lincoln.
"But, won't it get wet?" asked Clyde with concern.
"Easy there McBride, this cast was given from the allied outpost and made by FutureTech" replied Lincoln. "So this thing is invulnerable and water proof and keeps my leg sealed off rom anything on the outside, and when tomorrow comes, then I can get this off and Luna told me last night she's gonna bring the gear to do the job and she knows how to do it."
"You're sister sure is one resourceful and caring person" replied Renee.
"What can I say? She wants to keep me safe and the same goes for Jordan and chances tomorrow she'll be emotional with coming to see me again" replied Lincoln.
"There's gonna be some tears, hugs and a lot of kisses to his face when Luna comes to pick us up" replied Jordan. "But that's just her way of saying how much we mean to her and that she cares so much about us."
Lincoln chuckles and Patriot and the eagles land next to them. "It's gonna be a heck of a time for us tomorrow, and I am looking forward to seeing Luna and the rest of the family tomorrow."
They then see Coach Keck come back with six plates and mugs. "Hey kids, you all ready for the last day here?" She then hands them to The Rock, he's also gonna help with the dish washing.
"We are, and how are the resident down for the count rich girls?" asked Jordan.
Coach Keck chuckles. "Still down and out, and chances they won't be able to do much until tomorrow. So, everyone is cleared to have as much fun as they want, Leslie and her friends can't do anything while still immobile."
(Rich girl's cabin.)
Let's see how they're fairing.
Gretchen – a few bruises and bandaging's on her legs and arms, she has a bandage on her eye and her head is wrapped in bandaging and her right arm is in a cast.
Karen – a black eye, bruises on her legs and arms, bandage wrappings on her legs and head and she has a large bruise to her right cheek.
Regina – Similar to Gretchen, only she has a black eye and no cast, but her body is sore from the raccoon and badger combo attacks and a small portion of hair is missing to the right side of her head.
Chastity – a black eye, bruises to her arms and bandage wrappings to her legs and she has been given some sugar to get her blood back to normal and she has a cast on her left arm.
Hope – Her head is fully covered in bandaging and only her eyes, mouth, nose and ears are shown, she has a cast on her left arm and lots of bandaging to her legs and she has a large bandage wrapping on her right arm.
Leslie Silver – She has a black eye to the right of her eye, she has a tons of bite marks on her arms and legs and are wrapped in bandaging, her cheeks has some cuts to them and her head has a large bandage to it from some powerful blunt hit, and lastly her nose has a bandage as well.
Coach Keck had to decontaminate them from the intense skunk spray and then help tend to their wounds and thankfully, some of the kids there also know first aid and they made sure the rich girls shut up while they were being tended to by everyone else. They won't be able to do anything until they're all patched up, and that will be tomorrow.
And what do they have to say? "This bites it, hard!" replied Karen. Enjoy being indoors.
(Back with Lincoln and the others.)
"Well, with them out of the way, all of you kids can have as much fun as you like, and I for one am going to be showing some kids on how to be proper life guards" replied the Rock. "We might have ourselves some future heroes soon."
"You guys can have as much fun as you all want, just try and be careful. After seeing Silver and her friends, we don't know what could happen next and last night, Rock here was able to install a device that sorts out water filter to the lake, so that skunk water won't a problem" replied Coach Keck.
"Awesome!" They all high five and cheer. They soon disperse and head onto what they wall wanna do for the day.
Toby walks towards the kids washing dishes and the sleepy grizzly sleeps close to them, and this makes them chuckle. "Classic Toby."
(Later.)
Lincoln and Jordan both come out of their respective cabins and have their swimsuits in their bags, though Bullet is the one carrying Lincoln's bag since he's still on crutches and they meet up with Jordan.
"Well, looks like we're all ready for a fun day at the lake" said Lincoln. They look towards the beautiful lake and see the others close by and having fun too, then they see Rusty running from a snapping turtle.
"Let's get going" replied Jordan. The two of them proceed with a nice stroll by the lake side. "You know, it would've been nice if you were walking as you normally would, but I understand that things happen and we have to deal with it."
Lincoln walks close to Jordan and tries his best to hold her hand. "Maybe next year, we might come back here and have that lovely couples stroll, just the two of us."
Jordan smiles and she kisses his cheek. "You always know what to say and how to make me feel better, thanks handsome."
Lincoln kisses her cheek and they both share a passionate kiss. "That's what your man-with-the-plan of a boyfriend is here for, to see you happy and keep you from being sad."
They continue with their stroll by the lake side, and then they take a break and decide to head to the nearest changing rooms and get changed into their swimming trunks and yellow one-piece swimsuit and they head to the shallows of the lake.
Bullet stays on land and watches over their things and gets ready for when Lincoln needs his crutches to walk back on land once again.
Lincoln keeps his balance in the shallow waters, and with Jordan helping him. They then continue to splash water and have some fun, all while they make sure Lincoln doesn't lose his footing and slip into the shallows and they also avoid some deep areas.
Lincoln and Jordan are now sitting by the rocks near the lake. "You know, this does kinda remind me of Lake Eddy" replied Lincoln as he holds Jordan's hand, close by are his crutches.
"Yeah, so when are we planning to go back to Lake Eddy?" asked Jordan.
Lincoln thinks. "Well, we're gonna have to make sure there is no winter or chances of anything chilly and no signs of heavy storms and natural disasters, then we can be able to make the trip and see who we can bring with us."
"Now that sounds like a plan, and let's not forget that we made the promise to bring Sid, Adelaide and their mom to the lake, so they can see Plessy" replied Jordan. "And also check out the natural wildlife there and my godfather told me, that they removed the monkey's that caused trouble there last time."
Lincoln sighs. "That's good, the last thing we need is the same freaking incident with Luna, Sam and Michelle. That was awkward."
"Speaking of Michelle Lewis, what the heck do we do with the whole thing she has going into liking my godfather?" asked Jordan. "I mean, I didn't see that coming when you told me."
"I was shocked as you are, and to answer your question, we need to let her decide" replied Lincoln. "Luna said that she's not looking for love, yet. But she will think about it and she'll be the one to make the move to talk to Peter Harris and decide whether she wants to have a relationship, or not. We just have to be there for her…. She's family too."
"Yeah, still mind blown by the whole news, and I can't wait for when she does make her pick and then go on an actual date with him" replied Jordan. "Heck, I can recall that my dad said that Peter Harris is a man who isn't looking for someone yet, and he's busy with what he wants to do with his life, kinda like a bucket list. A really, really long bucket list."
They both enjoy the rest of this moment, but they have no clue that Leslie can see them from the cabin window with her binoculars and she is seething with rage. 'This is unacceptable and I refuse to take this one lying down!'
Her constant anger and movement causes her to fall out of bed and groan in pain, which gets the attention of her friends. "Leslie? You okay?" asked Hope.
"Peachy!" replied Leslie in anger and pain. "Someone get the coach, now! Everything hurts, again!"
(Moments later.)
Lincoln and Jordan come out of the changing rooms and are back into their normal attire and are ready for some more strolling.
"By the way, where the heck are Patriot, Valkyrie and the other eagle chicks at?" asked Jordan.
Lincoln looks around and Bullet sits onto his shoulders. "No clue, where the heck did they fly off to?" They then spot something on a nearby cliff side close to the lake. "Oh, there they are and what the heck are they doing up there?"
Lincoln and Jordan use the binoculars they brought with them to look closely and they are shocked at what they see.
Patriot and Valkyrie are showing them an eagle sized cave and some twigs and branches are sticking out, and there are some old eggs shells and small feathers, almost like a nest to the side of the cliff.
They then see another one, and another and another. The whole Cliffside nearing the lake, is filled with eagle sized caves and each one has a nest. "This….. This is where Patriot lived, this was where he and Valkyrie were part of, but I don't see any eagles" said Lincoln.
Jordan then feels the chill in the air. "I think the eagles have moved, I don't think there was anything left for them to stay and live for and…. They migrated to someplace else, plus this place is kinda close to the camp and would be a bother to the avians."
"Wow. I can't believe it, Patriot and Valkyrie are from Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake shore Camping Grounds" replied Lincoln. "Huh, that was a lot for me to say."
Jordan then takes some pics and she looks to them. "The others are so going to be shocked to see this." They both continue to look with happiness at how Patriot and Valkyrie are showing their young eagles where they once lived and this kinda makes Lincoln a bit uneasy.
'What if, what if Harrier, Artemis and Freya wanna leave and make their own life? How do we see them again? Will they ever come and visit and bring their family with them?' Then he recalls Lori and smiles. 'You know what, I think they will visit and for the next generation as well.'
Lincoln feels as if the future of their family is going to get bigger and bigger and even more extraordinary with everything they've been through, and he knows that the time will come when they have to say good bye to the three young eagles and that no matter how far they'll be, they will always be in touch as a family.
Patriot, Valkyrie and Harrier, Freya and Artemis see Lincoln, Jordan and Bullet and fly down to them. "Glad to see you guys showing your kids the old stomping grounds" said Jordan.
Lincoln pets Patriot. "This home you once had, it's pretty cool and even though there aren't any bald eagles here anymore, one things for sure, is that their next generation is living well and healthy." This makes Patriot happy and he knows that their future is just getting started.
Jordan then looks to the cliff side again and all the cave nests. "Man, this place must've been one lively spot with tons of eagle action and territory control. But I still wanna know, what the heck drove the eagles away?"
Patriot and Valkyrie wish to answer that, but they don't want to. They both know why there are no eagles and they don't want Lincoln, Jordan and the others to worry, besides, Patriot recalls when he first came to the Tree house and had so many wounds after something, and that something was from this place. But what happened here? We may never know.
"We should all head back now, tonight we're all gonna have an awesome campfire get together, only this one doesn't have any troublesome rich girls" replied Lincoln.
They all make their way through the sandy shores of the lake and head back to camp, they do spot some sail boats and canoes with their friends and they wave at them, they have a lot to show them when they get back to camp.
(Skip, nighttime.)
Everyone has gathered around the campfire, which was made by The Rock and Simon.
Chloe and Clyde brought out some marshmallows, chocolate, graham crackers and they make some nice delicious smores, they all chat and talk about how much fun they all had in this place and Rusty, Zach and Liam are passed out from eatin too many smores, and they're on top of the sleepy grizzly Toby, who is asleep, as usual. Classic Toby.
Then the Rock has an idea. "Hey, how about we have a good time with the one song that makes this month feel like it's still summer vacation?" He then hands Lincoln and Jordan acoustic guitars he brought with him.
Lincoln and Jordan nod. "Sure, let's all have a good time." They then start to perform they're song "Good time" and this time, everyone else joins in, and it also wakes up the bear and the three boys.
All while Leslie and her friends see this, everyone having fun, everyone enjoying their time at camp and happy that Leslie and her friends aren't part of this.
Leslie growls at everyone who're enjoying themselves. "This is stupid! What the heck are they doing?!"
"Well, looks like they're having fun without us" replied Gretchen. "While we're stuck in here with nothing else to do but lay down and still feel sore, but this pain should fade by tomorrow."
"What I'd do to get out there and ruin they're fun and show them how we have fun!" said Karen. "They just make me so mad! I hate all of them for this, I hate this camping trip, I hate that town, I hate that school and I hate that white-haired kid and that Rosato girl!" She then sees Leslie looking at her angrily. "Right, sorry."
Regina sighs. "You're not the only one ticked off girl, I so wanna make them understand how much misery we can bring to them and I really want those two to lose, just for once!"
"Why do they get all the attention? We've been around for over a month and we haven't even gotten anyone's attention and we haven't even been given any service from the low-leveled townsfolk" said Chastity.
"We'll come up with something, once we're out of this dump, then we can commence a new plan to make them all suffer and get what we want. Right Leslie?" said Hope.
Leslie sighs. "Yeah, once we're back in Royal Woods. Then we can go back to what we were supposed to do, and that's claim popularity and show these peasants, whose boss!"
(Late night.)
Lincoln escorts Jordan to her cabin and they both share a kiss. "See you in the morning handsome and I can't wait to see you back on your feet again" replied Jordan. Valkyrie and the two female eagles fly into the cabin.
Lincoln chuckles. "Same, and I look forward to seeing Luna when she gets here, see you when the sun shines onto the beautiful rose of my eye." Jordan giggles and they share another kiss and she heads into her cabin and Lincoln walks back to his, with Patriot, Harrier and Bullet.
They head into the cabin and see Toby the bear asleep on the floor and Simon fast asleep on his bed, with his phone near his face. 'He must've been talking to Sam, looks like he's looking forward to going back home.'
Lincoln heads to his bed, he then places his crutches next to his bed and the three male eagles sit by the foot of the bed and Lincoln lays down and his phone vibrates and he sees the text and smiles.
Luna: Hey there little brother, I know it's late and I had this feeling you'd still be up. You looking stoked for tomorrow?
Lincoln: Sure am, I can't wait to see you again sis, and so does Jordan. And we have so much awesome adventures to tell you and the family, though they're not really big adventures.
Luna: I look forward to hearing them, and we are all excited to see you come home. I'll be there to help get the cast off of you, and Sam head back home with her things, since she knows I'm calm and chill now and she's also looking forward to her little bro coming back home.
Lincoln: Yeah, I can see that from Simon and he's out like a light with his phone next to him. I missed you sis, but I know tomorrow we'll see each other again and be back at goof old Home town of Royal Woods.
Luna: I missed you too little brother and I look forward to seeing that cute little bro smile once again, like when we were little. Well, it's getting late, and we need the energy and sleep so we can see each other come first thing in the morning.
Lincoln: Goodnight Luna, see you in the morning and I love you sis.
Luna: Sweet dreams baby bro. May you find happiness along with Jordan in dream land, and Luna loves you too, always. XOXO
Lincoln then places his phone next to him, he then plays a song that Luna sang, a soothing song called "Sleep well little brother" but he makes sure the volume is low and near his head. He then slowly gets sleepy and drifts off to dreamland, looking forward to heading back home tomorrow.
Day 5 to the 5 day stay in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Camping grounds. Next chapter: time to go home.
