Chapter 364.
(Royal Woods Middle School.)
Lincoln and Jordan are at the cafeteria and they then spot Ryan and so they sit with him. "Hey Ryan, looks like we know where everyone else is sitting when we get here" said Jordan.
Ryan is confused. "Well, okay then. It is nice to eat with some new friends and I do wanna thank you guys again for letting me be part of the group of friends, this is nice."
Lincoln then shows his lunch. "You wanna trade for my pie?"
Ryan then looks at the pie. "What's the content of the pie?"
"Chocolate, my dad made this and I understand why you asked. We still recall the cherry allergy you have, so it's cool with us. You still wanna trade?" asked Lincoln.
Ryan smiles. "Sure, you can have my pizza." The two boy's then trade and they enjoy the food they traded. "Sure is nice to have this firs trade, but where are your friends?"
"They said they have some stuff to do and so they said they'll meet us here at the cafeteria and I think Richie was sent home after he did not see the wet floor and hurt his ankle" replied Jordan.
Ryan hissed at that thought. "Ouch! Is he gonna be okay after that?"
"He'll be fine, he said he's been through worse and when he means by worse he means whatever he did on his bike alongside Flat Tire and I don't think we even wanna know" replied Lincoln.
"So Ryan, are you planning to join the Gamer's Club soon?" asked Jordan as she eats her sandwich.
"Well, I was pretty cool when I went to that birthday party and played for the first time in an arcade, but I think I'm gonna join the tech club and the chess club. I have skills on them" replied Ryan.
"Sounds good" replied Lincoln. "Some of our pals and gals are also part of those clubs so it will be nice to have some backup."
Ryan then gets uncomfortable. "What's wrong Ryan? You look kinda nervous" asked Jordan.
"That girl over there has been looking at me ever since I got here" replied Ryan.
Lincoln and Jordan turn around and they spot Leslie's group eating lunch and they see Gretchen looking at Ryan, she may have a normal face like she normally does, but Lincoln and Jordan can tell something else is up.
"I think she has a crush on you" replied Lincoln.
Ryan then chokes on his pie, Lincoln hands him some water and he drinks it. "Are you sure?"
Lincoln and Jordan nod. "The way she looks to you is obvious, also in a creepy kinda way, but I could only guess she is afraid of trying to talk to you" replied Jordan.
Ryan is shocked. "Wow! Some girl has a crush on me already? This is….. This is just…. I mean I just….But…. I don't know how to talk to girls, or even know what to do."
Jordan is confused. "Ryan, you do realize we're friends and you did interact with the rest of our pals from yesterday and many of them were also girls."
"Sorry, I should've been specific, I mean to say I don't know how to talk to a girl who likes me because I don't know if I like her" replied Ryan. "Also, I recall you said she's one of those rich mean girls and I don't wanna mess with them and I could end up in so much trouble with them."
"Talk to her" replied Simon. They see Simon and his girlfriend Stella go towards them and sit with them. "Talk to her and see if she likes you back, but Jordan could be right she might like you."
"It won't hurt to try, I mean we know she is part of the whole bad rich girl crew, but she might not be so bad" replied Stella.
Ryan then looks to Lincoln and Jordan. "Should i? I mean, I don't wanna be against you guys."
"Ryan, you go and do you. We understand, also we don't hate all of the friends from Leslie, truth be told we find that two of them might not be so bad, it's just the four girls along with Leslie are the untrustworthy ones" replied Lincoln.
"He's right, from only Hope and Gretchen, they're not the types to go against Leslie and try and do something stupid. Karen, Chastity and Regina are the ones who do that one, they literally have such short tempers" replied Jordan.
Ryan thinks about this. "Yeah, maybe I should talk to her and see what she truly wants. Because I'm still not sure, chances she might just like me and use me for something else, it's obvious. I think, but I won't know till I try it and I guess I'm just a little nervous."
Lincoln smirks. "Sounds like something Simon went through."
Simon turns red and tries to talk back, then he realizes. "Huh, you know what? Lincoln is kinda right, it is sorta like me. Like back when I met Stella and she strayed me away from my crush on Luna and I have to say it was the best dang time of my life, someone who wanted to help me and is now the girl I have by my side." He then kisses Stella's cheek and Stella kisses his cheek.
Lincoln and Jordan chuckle at this and so does Ryan and then he thinks about this. 'I guess I can try and talk to that girl, Gretchen.' He then looks to the girl and Gretchen turns red and looks away. Ryan smirks at this. 'She is kinda cute.'
Then the rest of their friends show up. "Alright, who wants to trade for my apple slices?" asked Liam. "These ones have been dipped into some honey, fresh from the new beehive my memaw made yesterday."
They all take their seats and begin their lunch trade and all while Ryan keeps looking to the girl at the rich kids table, Gretchen Warwick.
Gretchen on the other hand is smiling and just toying with her spaghetti and her friends notice this.
"You feeling okay Gretch?" asked Karen as she eats her sandwich.
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine" replied Gretchen.
Hope then sees what she was looking at. "What the heck were you looking at over by Louds table?" Leslie was also curious.
Gretchen needed an excuse, she then sees the poster of the dodge ball team on the wall. "Umm, I was thinking of some way we can take down Rosato and the best way might be at beating her at her own game, like sports?"
The girls look to her confused, and they look to each other and then back to Gretchen. "Well, we're gonna need to up our game to beat her at that. She seems way too dangerous when she does her own thing" replied Regina.
"We can take her if we focus on her and possibly take down Lincoln in the process" said Chastity. "They seem to be more accurate when together, and they also seem way too dangerous when united. I hate that whole dodge ball king and queen thing."
"No one is targeting Loud, we only go for Jordan. Understand me?" said Leslie. She then looks to Gretchen. "If we are to beat Rosato at her own game we need a strategy so I suggest we put our heads together and think of something and fast, Thursday is inbound and we're all going to get a beat down if we are not prepared."
Gretchen sighs at this, they don't' suspect a thing. She then thinks. 'Maybe I should talk to that kid, he seems nice and also kinda cute too.'
(Hallways, after school.)
Gretchen walks down the halls, she was told that her friends all had something to do at home and at the mall, so Gretchen has to ride with the other kids on the bus. 'Well, at least I can come up with my plan to….' She then bumps into someone.
"Hey! Would you just…." She stops when she sees Ryan getting her books.
"Sorry, sorry I didn't…." He also stops and sees the girl looking at him.
They both stare at each other and both of them are shocked at how close they are.
'Wow. She is kinda cute like this, the way she stares and her facial features are just… Wow. She is cute. ' Ryan continues to pick up some of the books while looking into Gretchen's eyes.
''Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! It's him, he's here and why the heck did I yell at him?! What was I thinking?!' She continues to look into Ryan's eyes as she grabs her books as well.
They then grab the last book, and this causes their hands to touch. They both blush and then look to their hands, they then go wide eyed and then look to each other and turn even redder.
Ryan then gets up and he offers his hand. "Need some h-help?"
Gretchen sees his hand. "Yeah…. Sure." She holds his hand and this makes an electrical vibe go through both of them and he helps her up and then hands Gretchen her books.
"Sorry for bumping into you, I didn't see you coming and I had some stuff on my mind" replied Ryan nervously as he scratches his arm.
Gretchen giggles nervously. "Y-Yeah, though I should be sorry. I had some stuff in my mind too and didn't know where I was going or even knowing who was coming around the corner."
They both continue to chuckle and giggle nervously. They then have an awkward moment of silence and look away nervously.
Gretchen holds onto her books and Ryan looks to his shoes. "So, you planning to go somewhere?" asked Ryan.
Gretchen is shocked he asked her that. "W-What? What did you just say?"
Ryan is now in full red and is panicking. "Umm, i….." He then takes in a deep breath. "I wanted to ask your name." He then covers his mouth. "Sorry, I didn't mean to, I just wanted to know who you were."
Gretchen smiles. "Gretchen, my name is Gretchen Warwick and it's nice to meet you, new kid."
Ryan smiles. "Ryan, Ryan Miller, I moved here yesterday from Georgia with my parents and it's nice to meet you too Gretch. Is it cool I call you Gretch?"
Gretchen chuckles. "Well, my friends call me that and no one else, but I guess I can make this an acception. You do seem like such a nice guy and also kinda cute." She then panics. "Did I say that out loud?" She turns bright red and feels like dropping her books.
Ryan is shocked she called him that. "No, no. it's alright, I guess I should be honest and say, you look kinda cute too."
Gretchen feels like her brain just blew up like a nuclear bomb and her heart feels like it's about to melt like an overheated freezer. "Thank you, no one has ever called me cute before. Heck my friends don't called cute when we go shopping for some things."
Ryan likes seeing her smile, it made her look cuter. "Do you want me to escort you to your locker?"
Gretchen smiles. "Sure." She then walks with him to her locker. "What did you ask me earlier? About me going somewhere?"
Ryan then recalls and feels embarrassed, then he recalls what happened when Simon and some of the guys in the RW Cool Crew have went through with their ladies, they did what they could and sucked it up. "Yeah, I asked if you were going somewhere later."
"Well, I don't really have any plans, so I guess my schedule has nothing else left to do. We can go somewhere nice and peaceful, like the park" replied Gretchen. "Truth be told, I don't tell my friends I go there and I like to go there to get some alone and peace and quiet."
Ryan then smiles. "Everyone has their own thing to do and they should keep it to themselves. I mean, I kinda have this thing for peanut butter and peaches in between two slices of bread."
"I guess everyone does have their own thing, so you wanna go to the park later?" asked Gretchen.
"That does sound like a nice idea" replied Ryan. He then helps Gretchen put her books into her locker, and this results in their hands touching and they blush a bright red.
Gretchen then locks her locker and they both walk out of the school and pass by Lincoln and the others.
They're shocked to see this, but Lincoln, Jordan, Simon and Stella smile. "Looks like Ryan did it, he finally talked to the girl and now he's hanging out with her. Also, that was kinda fast, faster than what we all did" replied Simon.
"I should be upset with him hanging out with the friend of my enemy, but I'm not for some reason" replied Jordan.
"That's because we all feel so happy for Ryan and finding someone he likes and that someone is Gretchen and this could be a chance to show that even the mean and rich can get a chance at love and also a new point of view" replied Lincoln.
"Ryan's a good kid, he can be able to show Gretchen a new path and away from the mean rich stuff she does. The only issue, is what happens if her friends find out about this. They might start wondering where her loyalty lies and she could get into serious trouble with them" said Stella.
"That is a possibility, I mean from the Intel we got, all six of them are neighbors and they might go to her and ask what the heck is going on" said Jordan.
"Only tomorrow will tell us, that or I might hear it from the Millers when I see Ryan come back to his place and he sometimes comes over to our place and watches me train Harrier and the others for next year's Bald Eagle Contest" replied Lincoln. They then see their friends looking at them in shock. "What?"
"Can you guys tell us what the heck is going on?" asked Tabby.
"Did ya'll convince him to ask out one of the mean rich girls?" asked Liam.
"Is Gretchen even the right choice for Ryan?" asked Cookie.
"When the heck did Gretchen like Ryan?" asked Trent.
"When the heck did Ryan like Gretchen?" asked Kat.
"When did this crush for each other even happen? He's new in school!" said Flat Tire
What the heck is even happening here?" asked Clyde.
The three young eagles start squawking and chirping, almost like they're asking what the heck is even going on around here and why is the new kid hanging out with the enemy.
Lincoln, Jordan, Simon and Stella chuckle. They had a lot to tell them and it did start the moment they had lunch without them.
Some of the kids outside the school see this and they take some pics and get ready to post them. They are shocked to see the new kid walking with the mean rich girl, known as Gretchen Warwick.
All the while, Hope sees this as she is about to go into Leslie's limo. "Oh. My. God!" She then grabs her phone and she sends multiple messages.
Gretchen then walks down the street as they make their way to the park, Ryan sees Gretchen tried to hold her hand, he smiles seeing this and he knows what she wanted to do and so he grabs her hand and intertwines his fingers with hers.
Gretchen feels this and she looks towards Ryan and his smile and she smiles too and blushes. 'So, this is what it's like to fall in love. I….. I think I'm gonna like this.' They continue to walk to the park.
They don't see Ryan's dad drive by them, and he just got back from the library with a book about: How to Grow Georgia Peaches.
(Seven-eleven.)
Luna and Luan are both going through the aisles and they find what they're looking for. "Got some whipped cream, gonna need it for the next birthday gig and it is gonna be big! Like some elderly kind of big" said Luan.
"Just try not to get the mess into the house dude" replied Luna. Bullet is on her shoulder as she grabs some chocolate pudding cups and then some Kitkat.
"We got all we need Luna, let's get back home and bring this babies into the fridge" replied Luan as she has her shopping basket.
Luna follows her and then she gets a notification from her phone and Luna goes wide eyed. "Dude, check this out. What the heck is this?!"
Luan goes over and so does Bullet and they are shocked. "Whoa, whoa. What?!" They see the image of the new kid Ryan and he's holding hands with the girl who is friends with Leslie Silver. Gretchen Warwick and this shocks them and makes them confused.
"So, you think Lincoln and Jordan helped him with this?" asked Luan.
Luna smirks. "I think they did. I do recall that there are two girls in Silver's club that don't seem like the bad type, sorta and those are Hope and Gretchen and it looks like she's about to change sides and it's for the better. She doesn't have to be a mean rich chick."
"We can only ask Lincoln and Jordan to know the truth Lunes" replied Luan. They then go over to the register, but as they go there they spot someone also go to the register and is drinking a smoothie. "Huh, looks like Carly Miller shops here too."
The register man then asks her. "You sure you don't want cherry flavor ma'am. They're on sale now."
Carly hears this and gets upset. "I hate cherries!" She then tosses her smoothie to the ground and she walks away, but then she comes back to pay for it, and then walks away, which kinda scares the man.
Luna, Bullet and Luan are shocked to see that. "Wow. I know they don't have a thing for cherries, but that was kinda too far and also a bit odd."
Luna then thinks about this and gets suspicious. "Yeah, odd indeed." Luna knows something is up, but she has to tell this to Lincoln to confirm it and possibly, to Lisa as well. She knows something is gonna happen and it could only mean trouble.

A/N: Based off the episode "Family Bonding" and it seems that Ryan Miller might have found someone he likes, and that girl might change for the better and not be the bad rich girl she was, but things might not last for long, not with friends and other people wondering what the heck is going on and it seems the Millers might get caught for their actions.
