Chapter 378.
(Royal Woods Mall.)
School is done for the day and everyone is enjoying what fun they can at the mall. "So, let me get this straight. You guys found out it was Ronnie Anne's grandparents the parrot and their friend who was trying to drive you guys away?" asked Tabby.
"That's true and it was also kinda funny" replied Lincoln.
"Then some ghost chicken comes and haunt's ya'll because that ding dang parrot was the reason for the haunting?" asked Liam.
Lincoln sighs. "Yeah, that one is true and it wasn't just a chicken. There are tons of animals that also wanted revenge on Sergio for his past actions and we had to make sure he made up to them for what he did."
"Dang! That must've been super scary" said Zach. "Glad I wasn't involved."
"I swear if that parrot shows himself, then I am so gonna pluck every last feather on him" said Polly.
"So, that must've been scary as heck. How did you guys handle the rest of the animals going after Sergio?" asked Clyde.
Simon explains to them. "Okay, so the cow wanted revenge for what Sergio did to him in making his lover break up, and so we brought Sergio to the resting place of the lady cow and he told her he lied that the cow was cheating and now both cow lovers can go forward peacefully with each other."
Stella is next to tell them. "The Turkey wanted his owners watch back, because Sergio took the watch from the old farmer and just when the old guy was having a stroke and died on the rocking chair. So, he gave the watch back to the turkey, which turns out to be the watch that Hector was wearing and he felt so ashamed for having it on him and then fainted that he was wearing a dead man's watch."
Lincoln goes for the last ones. "The Dove and te Falcon are actually lovers, which kinda shocked all of us and the eagles too." Patriot and Valkyrie are on the shoulders of Lincoln. They were still shocked a dove and a pigeon were in love and became mates.
"The dove and the Falcon wanted the nest that they built to be back to the way it was. AS it turns out, Sergio had a crush on the dove and wanted to ruin the relationship she had with the falcon, so he knocked over the tree with the nest the falcon made but he did not know it killed the falcon when the tree fell down and he used a bulldozer for the job."
"The dove was so devastated, that Sergio wasn't enough to comfort her and so she took her own life to join the falcon in the afterlife and so Sergio left her dead body to rot on the edge of a cliff. So, they must've met when they were ghosts and realized who did this and went to look for Sergio for revenge."
"The animals were going to attack us, but then the ghost chicken Alfredo came back and told them that we had nothing to do with Sergio and his actions and so he had to do it all by himself with the eagles and the chicken watching over him. Sure as heck, Sergio will be enjoying the rest of his time locked up in the cage for his horrible, horrible actions."
They're all shocked by this. "Yup, I am so going to run over that bird and then deep fry his wings" said Mollie.
"Wow! Well, I'm not a believer in the whole ghost thing, but after what you said. Sure as heck I am a believer" said Gretchen.
"Okay guys, so now that we have all of that crazy stuff being said and done, let's get to the fact why we're even here guys" said Cookie.
"Yeah, we're all here to get the right gift for our gal pal and the co-captain of the Royal Woods Dodge Ball Team! Jordan Rosato!" said Joy.
"We have to find somethin she'd like, and for the first time we are gonna make it to the Gryphon's shopping to find something that would make her look so nice" said Kat.
"Well, while you guys head on to get her a gift there, the rest of us are gonna check out some other places for the gift" said Simon. "Meet you girls at the Food Court?"
"Heck yeah" replied Stella. "Also, where the heck is Jordan anyway?"
"Back at the Loud House, she's spending some time and getting to know the rest of my siblings to see how she can be able to manage all of them when they go about their normal day, but I know she can handle it" replied Lincoln.
"Speaking of which, I could only guess that Luna and Sam both have a gift for Jordan than might be the same as the one they gave you last month" said Allison. "So, what are you getting for your lover?"
"Not from the mall, my gift is a song and I have it all memorized and I know what to do and this song will truly show how much our life will always be even for the far future till the end of time" replied Lincoln.
They all awe at what he just said, then Renee asks. "Wait, so why are you here at the mall with us?"
"Yeah man, you could just go to Jordan and hang out with her for the day" said Trent. "Why hang with us if you have what you need for Jordan's big day tomorrow?"
"To make sure that what you guys have gotten for Jordan are safe and unharmed" replied Lincoln.
Darrel then figures it out. "This has something to do with Leslie doesn't it?"
Lincoln nods. "The same attempt Leslie did to Jordan last month and sure as heck I am not letting you guys get messed with. They will ruin what you guys got for her and sure enough she can't stop what I have for her."
"He's not wrong. I do have knowledge from one of Leslie's plans. She intends to stop what the rest of you guys are planning to get for her and ruin the party, which means today and tomorrow are priority to keep an eye out for Leslie and the other mean rich punks" replied Gretchen.
"And I have a plan for this and here they come." They all see Dana and Becky go towards them. "We're here to help you guys out by coming with all of you to Gryphons shopping and making sure you gals are safe from anything that rich freak has in mind" said Mandee.
"We're not gonna let her and her weirdo posse ruin the purchases" said Jackie.
"And while they go with the girls, I'm gonna tag with the guys and keep a guard up for what might come" said Lincoln. He looks to the eagles and nods, they also nod and they take off. "We got the eagles in here keeping an eye on things and the two eagles outside the mal and the rest back at the Loud House."
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's get going now!" said Lance.
They all nod, high five and fist bump and cheer. "RW Cool Crew!" They then split up and head off to the places they need to be.
All while Leslie and her friends see them and are all smiling. "Alright, so we know what to do right?" asked Leslie. They all nod and they split up.
(Gryphons Shopping.)
Leslie, Hope and Chastity look around and they see Jackie and Mandee picking out some clothes to wear, and those clothes seem to be something not meant for girls below 13 years old.
They then spot Kat, Joy and Cookie have found some socks, shoes and a scarf and then there's Christina, Jenny, Emma and Chloe who have chosen some dresses and skirts for Jordan's gift.
"Alright, so we swap out their purchases with something useless and pathetic right?" asked Hope.
"That's the plan." Regina has a bag with some lame old and dusty junk. They then follow the girls to the register, but then they get there they see a line and so they wait. "Well, looks like we have to wait for them to get to the register so we can switch out what they bought with this useless junk."
They then go into hiding behind the clothes racks and they wait with the bag of junk.
But they have no idea that someone sees them and that someone is Haiku who found some winter gear for Jordan's gift, and she has overheard what they just said. 'Well, looks like it's time for me to save the day once again.' she then realizes what she just said. 'That sounded so weird of me to say.'
(Game Store.)
Regina and Karen can see that the guys are picking out some gifts that Jordan might like, while Lincoln is outside and going through his phone and smiling at the selfie that Jordan took of herself and Lucy.
Regina and Karen both go into the game store and look for something to ruin, and they both have an idea and leave the store. "Okay, so we find the breaker of this store and shut down the power, then we go in with ski masks and bats and as the darkness is done then we break everything in there!" said Karen.
Regina snickers. "Now that is a plan! Luckily, I have these ski masks with me!" They then sneak off to look for the circuit breaker of the store to shut down, but they don't know that someone overhears them and is angry at what they were planning to do.
'They think they can do this to those guys and to the gift for Rosato? Well, they have another thing coming.' Michelle Lewis then sneaks around and then she sees something some gravy being sold in buckets and then she sees some Allied Attack Dogs on patrol. "Now this can work."
(Back to Gryphon's shopping.)
Leslie and her friends now see that the line has gotten shorter. "Alright so this is it. We sneak by, and once the traitorous employee on the register is distracted, we switch out the stuff they bought and put them into the boxes" said Leslie.
"Then let's do this thing" said Hope.
They all sneak by some clothes and even evade Jackie and Mandee who didn't see them. They then pass by Scoots and Sam's parents.
They then make it to the register and they see that Christina is the first one to give her purchase to be checked out. "This is it, now for the junk" said Chastity.
Hope grabs the stuff in the bag, but she gets bitten. "Ow! What the heck?" She checks the bag and her eyes go wide. "Oh no."
Christina then pays for her purchase and she even asks for it to be gift wrapped, but then they see Leslie and her two friends run out from the back of some dress racks with bats chasing them.
The manager, Jacque sees this. "What on earth is going on?" They all watch as Leslie and he friends are busy being chased by bats all the way out of the store and out of the mall, though Chastity trips and she falls into the fountain and Hope trips and she slips and collides with a trash can.
They all see this and Gretchen who finished getting what she needed goes out and sees what was happening. "Huh, looks like they ended badly." She watches as Chastity gets back up and she runs off to where Leslie is, which Leslie is outside the mall.
Gretchen then sees Hope get up and then cower from the bats swarming her. Gretchen sighs and she goes over and chases the bats away. "Shoo! Shoo! Go away!" Patriot and Valkyrie comes down and also chase the bats away from the place.
Gretchen they goes over and she offers her hand to Hope. Hope sees this and she wipes away her tears. "Why did? Why did you do that?"
Gretchen the fixes Hope's hair and her headband. "I may not be the same Gretchen who would be mean and all that, but sure as heck I wouldn't wanna leave someone like you to just be hurt in that kinda way, I still now you fear bats."
Hope nods and she sees all the other girls come and see how she is. Jackie picks up Hope's phone and hands it to her. Hope takes her phone. "Umm, thanks."
Gretchen sighs. Hope, you should go back to Leslie. She'll be wondering where you are. You're her best friend, so be there for her."
Hope nods and she runs off to where Leslie is, while at the same time keeping an eye out for any bats.
The others looks to Gretchen. "I know she's bad, but somewhere Hope is still the girl I recalled before she met Leslie. Deep down, Hope the good girl who was good at singing and art is still there, and maybe one day she'll see past her besties ways and understand who the real good people are. She's just misguided."
They all understand what she says, even they know that if Gretchen can change, then another of those rich mean girls can, and they're all hoping that it was, Hope. "So, we should get to the food court now, we have what we need" said Mandee. They all head to the food court, but they wonder. "Where the heck did those bats even come from?"
Haiku walks away from Gryphon's shopping with the gift she has for Jordan and the sack of useless junk, but she smiles at what she got. Why? The useless junk is actually models of fake skeletons, fake jars of blood, fake corpses and other gory stuff. Goth reward bonus!
(Back to the Gamer's store.)
Karen and Regina sneak around the back of the store and they see the circuit breaker room. They then go towards it, but as they walk towards the door and open it, they get hit by a bucket of gravy.
"What in the heck? Why do we smell like thanksgiving?" asked Karen.
Regina licks the liquid. "This is gravy. Is this some kind of prank?!"
Then they hear some panting and they turn around and see two attack dogs looking at them. "Oh no." They both race past the boys and Lincoln who watch as Karen and Regina are being chased out by the attack dogs and they soon make it outside the mall and into Leslie's Limo. "Drive!"
The limo drives off and the dogs bark, they then go back inside the mall and to their peacekeeper companions.
Lincoln and the others are confused by this. "What the heck was that about?" asked Richie.
Then Michelle Lewis walks by them with a mop and bucker. "Hi Lincoln." She then cleans up the small gravy mess that was made and at this point Lincoln smiles, for he knows what was happening.
They then walk out of the store and make their way to the food court and there they see the girls all waiting for them. "So, you girls get attacked by some rich posse?" asked Flat Tire.
"We did, though we weren't attacked, they were chased by bats for some reason" said Emma.
Than Haiku walks by them with the large sack. "You're all welcome."
"Okay, so now we know what happened? Did you boys face the same thing?" asked Paige.
"Karen and Regina raced out of the game store in ski masks, black suits and dosed in gravy and then chased by dogs" replied Lincoln. "Then we saw Michelle Lewis with a mop and bucket cleaning up the mess."
"Well, looks like now we know that they aren't gonna be able to stop or ruin he gifts we have for Jordan" replied Sadie. "Now we just have to make sure that her party tomorrow goes well, and with little to know issues from Leslie and her friends."
"And that's why I was able to make some calls to get some backup." Peter Harris walks by them with a bag of groceries. "Top of the noon to ya kids, and see you kids tomorrow at the party too." He then walks out of the mall.
They all begin to talk and order what they wanna eat and then Gretchen tells Lincoln what had happened when they went over to Hope.
"Chances that deep down, Hope can change. The issue is on when and how she can change and what will happen if she continues on the path alongside Leslie and the others" replied Gretchen.
"We all know that Hope and Leslie are friend, well best friends and that's something that cannot be easily turned down" said Mollie.
"That title can be transferred, but let's give Hope time. Maybe soon, one day she'll see the error of her ways and realize what she was doing" said Simon.
Lincoln sighs as he stops eating his bacon sandwich. "Even so, we still have to maintain our watch and make sure that no harm or trouble comes as Leslie and the others continue to live in town. But Hope can be the true game changer and stop this madness that Leslie has made and we can finally have some peace in our town."
"Like Gretchen believes, we give her some time and when she is going through some rough issues then we can do what we can to show some mercy and pity for her. She's not a bad person, she's just misguided. Just give her time guys, give her time."
They all nod and they all go back to eating. Lincoln then gets a message and he sees whose it from.
Jordan – Things going well here in the Loud House. Luan came back from her gig and is covered in so much Banana cream pie, Leni also came back home and Sam is headed back to her home, Lily is taking her nap. The rest of the day for me here has been quite nice and peaceful. How are things on your end with the others?
Lincoln smirks and he sends her a response.
Lincoln – Doing well, Silver and her gals tried to stop and ruin our gifts for you and they failed miserably, and chances we might have a new friend. But we just need to give her some time.
Jordan and Lincoln then continue to send each other messages, all while Lincoln's bag is leaning next to him and inside is his lyric notebook with a song that he made weeks ago. The song is a gift for Jordan, on her birthday party.
Lincoln's gift is a song called: A Thousand Year's. Now this song, is something special to Lincoln. To show how much Jodan means to him.
