Chapter 387.
(Royal Woods Middle School.)
Everyone makes they're way out of the school feeling satisfied with today's school day, wait what? Why? Because everyone was told that there will be no school tomorrow so they can all get prepped up for studying for the big exam next week, though this is also for the Royal Woods Middle School roller derby team so they can be able to practice some more before they're big game on Saturday.
Polly and her team are looking forward to that.
Lincoln and Jordan walk out of the school thrilled after what they did today. "Another successful dodge ball session and we all aced it like a team, can't say much about the others" replied Lincoln.
"Yeah, kinda feel bad for going all aggro on them" replied Jordan.
"It's alright guys." Chloe and the others go to them and some of them have bruises. "We know you guys are pumped up for next week and maybe we should've thought about planning who would be on the others team next time."
"Yeah, because next week we're all gonna have one last dodge ball session before the big dodge ball tournament for you guys" said Zach. "And when it comes to dodge ball again, we know it's gonna get intense and also destructive for all of us."
Trent chuckles nervously. "Yeah, we should rethink our plan and have you guys on our team. We're all friends and we shouldn't be beatin the crud out of each other."
"He's got a point" said Artie. "Also, tomorrow some of us are gonna do some gaming at the Local Net. Anyone want in?"
"I got game, I could use some League practice before December hits" replied Lance. "When that day comes, then its game on for the Gamer's club. Also, has anyone seen Allison and Laurence today? They never showed up for the Gamer's Club."
"I did get a text from them." They all see Music Club leader Darrel go to them. "Both of them have a bad case of their own allergy attacks. Allison is allergic to shellfish and Laurence is allergic to Peanut butter. Apparently last night, they had a big family get together dinner and it didn't turn out well when Laurence's cousins pranked him and his girlfriend and now they're out of commission until Monday."
They're all shocked to hear this. "Is that why you're bringing their school work to them?" asked Gretchen. They see Darrel has a wagon with books.
"We have been friends since we first came to Middle School. We know each other well and I did help them out when they nearly broke off their relationship, plus i owe them for that one time…. Which I will not speak because it's too personal. Later guys." They wave goodbye to Darrel as he takes his bike.
Simon sighs in frustration. "What I would do to go to Laurence's cousins house and beat those cousins up for that! That is so wrong, and I hope our leaders can get better soon. They're the ones who know where we're gonna hold the Gamer's tournament on December."
"Relax Simon, they'll be fine" replied Stella. "So, anyone have plans today?"
"Well, we think it's time for someone to be truly part of the crew, but coming to my place and hanging out with us in the Tree House" replied Lincoln. They all look to Gretchen who is confused.
"What? Oh, you mean me?"
"Who else is new to the crew?" asked Jordan. Then she realizes. "Chad! Where is he? He's also new and he also needs to be part of the tree house hang out!"
"Not here man" replied Rusty. "He is a member of the cyclers club and he said he won't be joining us because he broke his ankle today during our free time. He was sent home early and chances he might not be ready to hang out until Saturday."
"Dang! That must bite hard, you gonna go and see how he's doing?" asked Liam.
"I am, and so is Flat Tire. Where is he anyway?" asked Rusty. He then sees Flat Tire already on his bike and waving at him. "Huh, how did he get over there so fast? Well, see you guys later." Rusty goes to his bike and he rides off.
"So, anyone wanna join us in showing Gretchen the Tree House?" asked Lincoln. The ones who wanna come along are Simon, Stella, Liam, Tabby, Zach, Trent, Kat and Jenny. Everyone else has plans to get to.
Lincoln and Jordan whistle and landing on their shoulders are Harrier, Nora, Artemis and Freya. They then look to the road. "Where the heck is Luna?" asked Jordan. "I thought she said she was gonna come and pick us up."
Then Lincoln get a message. "It's from Luna."
Luna – Sorry bro. Gotta hang back at the school and deal with some major guitar damage, I am confused as to how the heck did all the strings get cut. Sam, Sully, Mazzy and I have to restring all 18 guitars, hitch a ride with your friend and get home safely. I think Luan is riding with Benny and Lynn is gonna be at football practice and Leni left for work. See you at home bro. Luv you.
Lincoln puts his phone away. "We're gonna need a ride."
"I got you guys covered" replied Gretchen. They all see her limo arrive and they hop in and it drives off.
Leslie and her friends come out of the school and are badly bruised. Let's just say they did not fare well with dodge ball and took one hell of a beating!
"It's official, I literally hate dodge ball!" said Regina. She has tons of bandages on her face and her arm has a cast, when she tripped and fell on it. No dodge ball hit her, she just hurt herself. The bruises to the face? She did trip and land on her arm, and she also fell face first to the ground.
"You think you hate it? I hate it for as long as it lives!" said Karen. Like Regina she tripped and she broke her ankle. She has a cast and crutches. She didn't even hit anyone and she didn't even get hit.
"At least you guys got those, I got worse and I am so ticked off right now!" said Chastity.
She has a black eye and three missing teeth, her right cheek has a bandage and she has a cast on her left arm. What happened to her? She threw the ball it bounced off the wall behind Tabby and then came back to Chastity at full force and she landed onto the pile of dodge balls that scattered and went back to her. Wow!
"I'm only took little damage, what the heck happened back there with us?" asked Hope. She has some bruises on her face, why? She slipped on her untied shoe laces and fell face first to her own dodge ball.
They all look to Leslie who is not in the mood to talk. She is steaming angry.
Leslie has a black eye on the right eye, some bruises on her face, arms and legs. She has a bandage on her nose and left cheek and her right ear and her hair is a mess. Her right leg is kinda sore and so is her left hip and her gut.
What happened to the rich leader of the Rich Society Club?
She was aiming at Jordan, but when she decided to do some kind of tornado spin and then threw her ball, her throw turned into a curve ball and it flew right past Jordan, bypassed Lincoln went between Simon and Stella nearly hit Sadie and Mollie and then flew right over Coach Keck and then bounced off the wall near some of the kids who are out and it did a curve ball back to Leslie at full speed.
The results: She got hurt, real bad and needed to go to the infirmary immediately.
In hindsight, none of them landed a hit on any of Lincoln and Jordan's friends and just ended up beatin the crud out of themselves.
Leslie and her friends go over to her limo, but then she sees the tires have been popped and her limo driver is changing them. "Sorry Ms. Silver, but it appears someone thought it was a good idea to do this to your limo."
Leslie sighs and in her thoughts, she counts to ten. "Get this thing back on its wheels fast." She and her friends are about to sit by the benches, but then a Multi-Gunner IFV drives by fast and the muddy water in the road splashes on them.
"Are you serious right now?!"
They then walk back to the limo to get cleaned in there, but then a truck drives by and one of its boxes flies off and the box opens and lands on top of all the girls. It's a really big box.
They get the box off and now all five rich girls are covered in gravy mix. The truck was inbound for the supermarket and the big thanksgiving week sale. "This cannot get any worse for us today!" said Karen.
And then they hear dogs barking. They all look to Karen. "You and you're big stupid mouth!"
They all start running from the dogs and they knock aside the limo driver who was about to change the tire, and now the tire is rolling away and it hits the stop sign and the stop sign falls to the ground causing a nearby truck to swerve hard to the right and another box flies high into the air and it crashed onto the girls and scares away the dogs.
The girls are now covered in smelly, raw fish that is also supposed to go to the supermarket. "This is a joke right?!" asked Regina. Then some cats come out of hiding. "I spoke to soon."
Everyone at the school sees this and they start recording.
(The Loud House.)
The limo arrives to the loud house, and at the front yard is Lola riding around in Lulu. Lana and Hops catching worms for bait on the upcoming fishing trip with Lynn Sr and Lucy underneath the tree reading her book.
The limo opens and they see Lincoln and Jordan and they're friends. "Hey guys, looks like you all came home safely" replied Lincoln. "Where's Lisa and Luan?"
"Lisa's inside the house and writing down some stuff she needs to do with Darcy for a playdate on Saturday" replied Lucy. "Harrier and Valkyrie are in the tree house watch tower."
"Luan is in her room and she's getting ready for an upcoming comedy routine for Thanksgiving" said Lana. "She said she wants to prepare early or something. Also, dad said that before thanksgiving. He's gonna go on a big fishing trip and I am so tagging along!" Hops also nods and he grabs a worm and puts it into the jar
"Michelle hasn't come back yet, she's at the daycare picking up Lily, and dad called and he said he might be home late so we might as well cook something up for dinner" replied Lola as she drives around and reads a book on new styles of pageantry.
"Well, we're gonna head to the backyard. I think it's time someone in the RW Cool Crew gets to hang out in the Tree House for the first time" replied Jordan.
Gretchen chuckles. "Yeah, I am so excited to go and see it. Also, Lana could you check out the engine of my limo? She's been acting up late as we were driving here."
"Really? Let me check it out!" Lana goes over with the limo driver and they both open the hood and black smoke comes out of the engine. "I got just the tools for this!"
(Backyard.)
Gretchen looks to the tree house and how tall it is. "Whoa! That is one tall tree house, and you guys built this?"
"We darn sure did" replied Liam. "It took us all afternoon and we managed to make this here tree house a possibility and through this tree house our friendships were made stronger and this is where we met Patriot as well."
Lincoln chuckles. "He's not wrong, I still remember the day we first saw him on the watchtower and looking kinda menacing. But I talked with him and I understood he needed a place to stay, but I do question why he had all those injuries when we first met him."
"We believe the answers were back at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore camping grounds" replied Jordan. "That's where we saw tons of small caves with nests in them, and we know that that's where Patriot and probably Valkyrie came from, but where are those eagles?"
"Wow! Talk about one big mystery" replied Zach. "So, let's go in."
They all get onto the ladder and Gretchen goes last and she sees them unlocking the door and she looks inside and is amazed at the place.
Gretchen sees all the stuff they have. Posters, books, video games and she checks each level of the tree house and is impressed. "Wow! Either this is a tree house, or is this like the best kid hang out I have ever seen?"
"This is a tree house" replied Stella. They all head up to the watch tower.
When they get there, they see a calendar, some binoculars and telescope and the nest of the eagles on top of a large chair and with them are all the eagles, except Bullet, he's back with Luna.
Gretchen looks at the view of the neighborhood. "Wow! You can see the neighborhood from up here and even my place and Jordan's and I think I can see Liam's farm from this point of view too!"
"Yup, this whole thing was made by our hardship and our teamwork" replied Lincoln. "And it only took one afternoon to make this thing stand tall and be possible."
"Actually we made this tree house in less than 7 hours. Which means it's half the morning and half the afternoon" replied Jordan. "And I can see the rich neighborhood too and….. Is that Leslie and her friends?"
They all use the binoculars and telescope and they see Leslie and her friends being loaded into an ambulance. They got a hood view of the middle school and they can see the high school as well.
"What the heck happened to them? And what's with that big mess of fish and gravy near the school?" asked Kat.
"Whatever happened to them, I'll try and see what it's all about" replied Jenny.
Gretchen then looks down and she sees something attached to the tree house. "What the heck is that?"
They all look down. "Oh, that's the space capsule Leni and I won for Lisa from the game show: Double Dare" replied Lincoln. "And let's just say it was slimy and yet super fun!"
"Wow. I gotta hear about this, but I was asking what that is." Gretchen points to what looks like this green caterpillar that has red antennae, a large green head with black eyes and a yellow underbelly, the little bug looks to them and panics and then goes into hiding.
All of them are shocked by the seemingly large bug. But it's Simon, Stella, Lincoln and Jordan who are shocked the most.
"Did we see that? Did we all just saw that?! Did all of us just saw that?!" asked Stella.
"I think we were all seeing things, because that cannot be real! That cannot be here!" said Simon.
"What? What the heck? Was that an actual Pokémon?! Was that a Caterpie?" asked Jordan.
Lincoln thinks about this. "No, no it can't be. Can it? How? When? Why is it? It can't be here or even be real? Unless…."
They all figured it out. "The FutureTech renovations to Ketcham Park!"
Gretchen is confused. "Kinda in the dark here. What the heck is a Pokémon? Was it that big bug?"
Lincoln and Jordan have to make a call to their hero-version allies.
