Chapter 396.
(Royal Woods Sports Center.)
The place is packed, and everyone is excited and looking forward to this game and how it would unfold. On one side of the sports stadium is the folks of Royal Woods and on the other side, are the folks from Beaverton and both sides are cheering for the teams that are going to play.
Lynn Jr and her roller derby team are wearing merchandise for the Royal Woods Middle Eagles and are cheering the loudest, then Luna joins in and cheers as well. Loir is there for the day to cheer on and Leni….. Why is her face painted in gold and blue?
The twins are dressed as eagles and are cheering with megaphones, Luan is the goddamn mascot! And she's rocking and grooving with those dance moves! Go eagles! Go eagles! Go, go. Go eagles!
Lisa is remaining silent and so is Lucy, though they do have some eagle hats on their heads, though Lily cheers as with the rest of the family.
This becomes a bit awkward form the parents, they have never seen their daughters this aggressive when supporting each other at their events. But they join in on this.
Then the commentator presents himself. "Ladies and Gentlemen! Children of all ages! We are all gathered her for one thing and that is to play, some dodge ball!"
Everybody cheers hearing this. "Welcome to the first annual Dodge Ball Tournament and we are live here in Royal Woods. Hello everyone, I'm WWE Commentator Jerry "The King" Lawler and we are all stoked to be here today! Dang, I am so locked and loaded for this!
"We got Royal Woods vs Beaverton, two teams going toe-to-toe, but moistly, the captains of the Royal Woods team are the ones who are the main attraction and the best this town has in the words: Dodge and Ball and let me tell you this folks, they're gonna light up the Battlefield!"
Royal Woods cheers, Beaverton is confused and is now fearful of what is to come.
(Outside.)
Leslie and her friends arrive and they head to the stadium, but then someone is blocking them. "Who the hell are you two?!" It's Braun Strowman! The Monster among men is the guard of the place.
Leslie scoffs. "I am Leslie Silver you big oaf, and I demand to go in here and watch my lover win the stupid tournament for this stupid town. Now get out of my way!"
Karen can't say anything, she knows who this is and is shocked beyond her thoughts. She watches WWE.
Braun checks the list. "Here we are: Leslie Silver, and her friends Hope, Karen, Regina and Chastity."
"Finally, now we can get in already" replied Regina. But then they're pushed back by Strowman. "Hey! What the heck do you think you're doing you ape?!"
"You're names are here, on the keep out list! So get the hell outta here or someone is gonna get one heck of a train wreck all over the place!" said Braun in anger.
Leslie is not intimidated by this man. "No! I am not going anywhere! I am going in there and I am gonna see my boyfriend play this stupid game and win for this stupid town! Now, step aside! That is an order!"
"You don't call the shots here punk, I work for the ones who hired me and I was hired by the Rosato and Warwick Family. So you girls better scram, or else you'll: Get! These! Hands!" yelled Braun.
Seeing no point in going through, and to the fact Gretchen's family made this possible for some reason, Leslie and her friends vacate the area. "The nerve of that man to make us leave! Stupid Rosato, stupid Gretchen!" said Chastity.
Then they hear the announcement from the commentator. "And now, presenting Royal Woods Finest!"
Hearing this makes Leslie ticked off. "We are going in there and we are going to see how this stupid game works and see my boyfriend win, now come on!" They sneak around back, without Strowman noticing.
(Inside.)
Everyone cheers when they see the team finally come out, walking in slow motion and with the eagles flying ahead of them, are the Royal Woods Middle Eagles! Gretchen, Simon, Stella, Trent, Lance, Artie, Mollie, Polly and Jenny.
And coming in behind them, the co-captains of the whole team and with Patriot and Valkyrie on their shoulders: Lincoln Loud and Jordan Rosato!
Everyone cheers seeing them and they all get to the benches and wave to everyone one. Lincoln has a megaphone and yells out. "Can you dig it?!" Everyone cheers loudly at this.
Jordan chuckles and she looks to her boyfriend. "What the heck was that about?"
"Sorry, just had a massive rush inside of me and I am pumped up for this. Oh hell yeah I am!" said Lincoln. He then let's Patriot onto his right arm and Jordan does the same with Valkyrie.
"Well, don't blow up man. We need you alive and ready for this" replied Polly. They then see the other doors open and the other team coming. "And here they come."
"And of course, the Beaverton Bulldozers." They see the team of 11 pre-teens, they seem taller than the Lincoln and the others, and are only a few inches taller than Stella and they don't seem intimidated and more like trying to be cool.
They sign some autographs for the folks of Beaverton and wave to them with boastful looks. "Dude, what the heck are they doing?" asked Trent.
"Recall that these guys don't train much and they think they can win this with they're intimidation alone" replied Jenny. "They have no idea what the heck is in store for them."
"Yeah, and one of them is just chewing gum and doesn't seem to be fit for this thing. Who the heck is the coach of that team?" asked Mollie.
"The Coach is someone I knew once, and he's two year's older than me" replied Coach Keck. "He was once the star athlete of the Foot Ball team back in my High School days and always used popularity and looks to be awesome and well-loved, sadly he didn't seem to make the cut when he played his first game and he was the reason why Royal Woods lost so many football games long ago. He sucked."
Lynn Jr overhears this and is ticked off. But Margo and Paula hold her back. They then see someone on a wheel chair. "Is that him?" asked Lincoln.
They see the coach who is two year's older than Coach Keck. Dark gray hair and a beard and is wearing a blue and black jumpsuit and is on a wheel chair and is wearing shades he then speaks to his team. His name: Kylie T. Guester.
Coach Keck sighs seeing this. "So what I heard was true, he was in a car accident. I feel bad for him, but I know one thing and that he is one horrible coach and that his team will be eradicated before he knows it."
They then hear the commentator speak. "Ladies and Gentlemen, all ride for the American National Anthem to be performed by the Luna Loud and Sam Sharp."
They all ride up and they listen to the sound of the electric Guitar and the Keyboard as Luna and Sam play the national anthem and even sing it. Through the end part, Lincoln and Jordan let the eagles fly and with them is the American Flag waving in the air.
The coach then yells. "We don't need that!" But this makes everyone in Royal Woods throw stuff at him, and even Beaverton does the same. They know that the eagles are the symbol of the nation and they have the flag with them.
Truth be told, the folks of Beaverton hate the man as well. He thinks he's a good coach and gives good grades, but his teachings suck and the kids in the Beaverton Middle School are lazy and don't do much exercise. Who the hell hired this guy?!
The teams get into position and then the referee shows up. They all go to the center of the stadium and they each grab a dodge ball. "Alright, you all know the rules!"
Then one of the boys from Beaverton speaks. "We don't need rules man."
The official ignores him. "Now, once you get hit, you're out. If you manage to catch the opposing team's ball, then you're out! Last team standing, wins! This will br three rounds, but if you're unable to get back up or even play, then you're out for the whole thing!"
Another of the boy's chuckles. "This'll be easy. We got this, those noobs don't know who they're messing with!" He high fives with his pals.
Lincoln and the others are confused. 'What the heck is wrong with them?'
They all get back to their opposing sides and get ready. The official then blows the whistle. "And play Dodge ball!" To avoid anyone else getting hurt. FutureTech placed down some barriers to keep the balls from going to the audience.
Coach Kylie sees this. "Those balls aren't gonna hurt ya. Take those things down, we don't need em."
The Beaverton Bulldozers all chuckle. "Alright boys, let's go easy on them and show them that all you need is some intimidation and…." The kid is knocked by a dodge ball and hits the wall and is knocked out.
The others are shocked to see this. "What?!" Then another one is hit and he falls to the ground holding his gut in pain. Then two more boys are hit and then another and another and another.
Each member of the Royal Woods Middle Eagles throw their balls, but without even the best force they got. They just throw it as they normally do when they do they're common dodge ball sessions.
Soon one kid is left standing and he throws his ball, but when he throws it the ball just lands on the middle of the place and rolls past Jordan. "What the heck was that man?" She then throws her ball to the wall and it bounces back and hits the kid and he is out.
The official sees this. "Point Eagles." Royal Woods cheers from this.
The Bulldozers all get up and their coach talks to them. "That was a lucky shot they pulled, they got lucky and are nothing guys! We can take em, remember that it's all about in the looks and the intimidation, because it helped me once, even after one loss at Football, I managed to use the same tactics and we won eight games!"
The boys all nod and they take a drink and then get back into the fight.
The Eagles also group up to their coach. "Okay, so that proved that the coach from them didn't do much in training the team. So get out there and do what you guys do, also let's make this quick."
They all nod, they all know that this should be the win for one person to show them that she is truly the queen of Dodge ball. They all get back to their positions and get ready.
One of the boys from the enemy teams scoffs. "Why are girls in this? I thought this was a boy's game, not for girls."
This angers Jordan, Stella, Mollie, Polly, Gretchen and Jenny. The boys back up and let them handle this.
The referee blows his whistle and all six girls throw their balls at great speed and all 11 opponents are down for the count as all 6 balls bounced off each one and gave them quite a beating.
Coach Keck cheers. "Yeah! Suck on that one Kylie!"
Coach Kylie then yells back. "This is wrong! Girls shouldn't be in this! One of the dodge balls bounces off the wall and hits him in the face. The referee blows his whistle.
"Point team eagles."
The two teams go back to their coaches. "Alright, that's it! They are dead to me! Those boys and the coach are dead to me!" said Jordan. They can all see she is angry and so are the other girls.
Coach then looks to Lincoln. "Kid, any thoughts?"
Lincoln looks to the team and has made his choice. "This is the third game, so let the Dodge ball queen handle this."
That one they all agree on and they speak with Jordan to kick they're butts for saying girls can't play this sport. The next game is on and the coach yells. "This is supposed to be for boys! This isn't even fair with girls playing!"
The official looks to him. "Sir, the papers said that this is a mixed gender sport, didn't you read the papers?"
"Who needs to read them when we know them? What the heck is this?!" said Coach Kylie in anger. "I demand a recount on the rules and change the game."
Seeing this man rant about everything was getting on Jordan's nerves and fire si in her eyes. "Team! Hit me!" They all toss their dodge balls to her and she grabs all of them with both her hands and the sound of a shotgun reloading can be heard.
The Beaverton Bulldozers are now in fear and one of them drops his ball and puts his hands in the air. The eagles watch from above and put on some shades. This should good.
Lynn yells. "Destruction inbound!"
Jordan then throws all the balls at once and all of them bounce around the stadium. Lincoln and the team dodge and slide they're way past every dodge ball headed they're way.
The enemy team is getting a beat down! Every dodge ball bouncing off is hitting them and they try to run or catch the balls, but they can't. They're too scared and also too stupid to even know what the heck is going on.
The coach tries to move around and yell for this to end and that the tournament is rigged, but then he gets hit in the gut and then in the head. Then he gets up on his legs and he runs for it. Wait! He's running! How?!
Coach dodges the balls and so does the referee. "Well, well. Look who faked his disability."
The folks from Beaverton are shocked and boo at him for lying, but the coach gets hit in the back of the head and falls flat on his face.
Meanwhile, Leslie and her friends all go to the side of the stadium and they get onto each other's shoulders and Leslie is at the top. "Steady down there girls!" said Leslie.
"Trying! Not easy with all of you on my shoulders!" said Karen.
"Just stay still!" said Regina as she looks to Leslie. "Also, I didn't know you liked eagle patterns?"
Leslie turns red. "Look away from my skirt!" They all look away. "Besides, only Lincoln gets to see them. Now, move closer to the window, now!" They slowly lean and Leslie is now at the window and she opens it, wait did Leslie just open the window of the stadium, with the game going on? Oh shit.
"Yes! I can see…." In slow motion, a dodge ball is headed right for her and she's hit on the nose. Ouch! Leslie then falls to the ground and lands onto a bunch of bushes and groans in pain.
The rich girls see this. "What the heck just happened?" asked Hope. They get off of each other and go over to help her. "Are you okay Leslie?"
Leslie is too dazed. "What? Red? Ball? Huh?" as she moves away from the bush, it snags onto her skirt and they hear a rip sound.
The girls go wide eyed and they see her skirt is on the bushes and they turn bright red and so does Leslie. Regina hands her a jacket and she puts it on and they go back to the limo. "Do not speak of this, ever!"
Back in the stadium: The place is calm and al the dodge balls have stopped and they all cheer as they see the eagles are the ones who won the whole thing. Though, Jordan finished it off. She is dangerous!
Everyone on the Royal Woods side go to her and carry the whole team. Luna has Lincoln and Jordan on her shoulders, and everyone congratulates them for the win.
The coach of Beaverton gets up slowly and he's surrounded by the folks of Beaverton. "Wait, let me explain!" He then gets beaten up by his own people and the parents go over and tend to their good for nothing, lazy, sexist kids who are all unconscious and are in a heap of trouble for their words.
(Later.)
The team along with their parents all walk out of the stadium, with the trophy which Lynn and her roller derby team carry for them, it's kinda heavy and a good workout for Lynn.
"Well, that was an epic win and we didn't even get hurt" said Trent.
"We nailed it and we showed them who the bosses of the whole gig were!" said Mollie.
"Darn right we did." Lincoln looks to Gretchen who is on her tablet and talking to her parents. "At least we all had family who watched us." They all look to Gretchen who was smiling and they can hear her parents being proud of her and saying that they will be there for her, when Thanksgiving begins.
"Well, we should celebrate. Where to everyone?" asked Lynn Sr.
Lincoln thinks and he looks to the team. "Where to guys?"
They all chant. "Lynn's Table!" They all cheer and this makes Lynn Sr shed a tear.
"Gosh darn it! You got it kids, I am gonna make you all a heck of a feast, because I did not think the whole celebration through!" Then he grabs his phone and calls Kotaro and Grant to go the restaurant, ASAP!
As they all walk and talk about the win, they all stop and see this kid on a scooter and is wearing a green hoodie. "Who the heck are you?" asked Jordan. All of them feel cautious about this and the eagles get ready for whoever it is.
Gretchen has a dodge ball with her. Where did she gets that?
Then the boy removes his hoodie. "Hi guys, It's been a while huh? Did I miss you're big game?"
All of them are wide eyed to see this boy and Gretchen drops her dodge ball and she has tears forming in her eyes. "R-Ryan?"
