Chapter 402.
"Some changes that hurt."

At the room where Lincoln is, he is awake and he is not looking too good. He coughs a bit, still havin some breathing issues, but the Dr. Ryan s. Kendrick said it will go away in time and he will soon stop coughing.
Lincoln then recalls what the doctor told him after he woke up. 'Sorry to say, but it seems that the poisonous gas from that Exterminator guy has made you…. allergic to Sauerkraut, I'm sorry Lincoln. But you cannot be able to consume that kind of food anymore.'
The very thought about it, going over and over in his head hurt him. He can't be able to eat sauerkraut on a sandwich and merge it with peanut butter either. The one thing he likes to make on a sandwich, is no longer good for him anymore and that really stings him.
He then recalls the tears he cried when he heard this, and every one of the members of the family joined in to comfort him from this bad news.
They have known Lincoln, for being one who likes that food in his sandwich and it hurt them to see he can't eat it anymore. At least, he can still eat pineapple on pizza.
Then he sees the door open and coming in is his big sister Luna, his girlfriend Jordan and her brother Ryan with the eagles and they all fly towards him and land on the bed side.
"Hi guys. So, am I being discharged today?"
"You are, which means you're gonna need your clothes back on little dude." Luna goes over and places down a fresh new batch of clothes he can wear. "Also, the old clothes you were are being heavily cleaned, mom said they can't have any more of that poison gas lingering in the house."
"How're you feeling Lincoln?" asked Ryan.
Lincoln sighs. "Upset, uneasy and a bit angry. I mean, I can't eat Sauerkraut anymore and I like eating that stuff, let it be on pasta or between two slices of bread!"
Ryan is confused. 'Wait, Sauerkraut can be put on pasta? When?'
Lincoln then looks down at his fists and is angry to the core. "All of this, because of that stupid exterminator guy! He made this happen, he's the one who did this to me! I hate him so, so much! He tried to hurt Lana's Caterpie and then tried to go for the eagles! Then he does this?! That man is gonna pay for what he did!"
Luna and Jordan have seen this side before, but to Ryan this is new and kinda scary. Jordan then goes over and she sits next to her boyfriend. "Lincoln, please calm down. Things might be bad, I know. But try and look to the good side of things, that man is not gonna be a threat anymore."
Lincoln looks to her. "What do you mean? What's gonna happen to the Exterminator Guy?"
"As it turns out, that guy has been responsible for wiping out the National insect of the town. The dandelion stick insect, which are said to either be extinct or endangered and he's also notorious for wiping out the local bee farm in town" replied Ryan.
"But now they got him and he's gonna be locked up for a long, long time" replied Luna. "They're also shutting down his pest control company and making a new one, and maintained by FutureTech. Our rents are also suing the man for every cent he's got for what he did."
"The man's name is Fred Bugihater, he's not even born in Royal Woods. The madman is from Hazeltucky and has been on the run ever since." Jordan then has her tablet with the list of things he did. "He was responsible for killing all the class pets in their school, setting up gas bombs into a house and nearly killing the kids inside without anyone's permission and beating up a kid and then killing the boy's pet snake."
This shocks Lincoln. "So, he's a criminal who exterminates without permission?!"
"Ya got that right bro" replied Luna. "But at least he's gonna be behind bars and back to Hazeltucky and a lot of folks there want his head real bad."
Lincoln sighs in relief. "I may have lost my love for sauerkraut, but at least that man will answer for his crimes and get the punishment he deserves. A shame I couldn't just beat the crud out of him."
"Don't get too worked up on it Linc" replied Jordan. "Just be glad you're alive and well." She then kisses his cheek and she hugs him, soon Luna joins in this.
Ryan smiles and he takes a picture of this moment, then he gets a message from his phone and it's from Gretchen.
"Guys, I hate to spoil this nice and lovely moment, but we should head out now and bring the survivor back home. Everyone's waiting for him."
They depart from the hug and give Lincoln some privacy so he can change. The eagles also take off from the window to keep an eye for any signs of Leslie Silver and her posse, and they have noticed she hasn't bothered to show up, or even know what has happened.
(Later.)
Soon, Lincoln and Luna, Jordan and Ryan come out of the hospital and Michelle Lewis is waiting for them with Lily by Luna's car. "There he is and someone misses her bog brother too."
Lincoln goes over and he picks up and hugs Lily. "I missed you too Lilster, and I'm glad we're back again to spend more fun time." He then kisses her cheek.
Lily giggles and she kisses his cheek. "Welcome… Back, bwother."
They all coo at the cute sight of the two loud siblings, even some paramedics who are hauling a burnt man out of the ambulance stop and see this, even the burnt man sees this is adorable too. Now someone get him inside, now!
Lincoln then goes into Luna's car and so do the others. "Are you guys ready to head back home?" asked Luna. They all fasten their seatbelts and nod towards Luna.
Luna then starts her up and they drive off.
Ryan, Michelle and Lily are both in the back seats, while Lincoln and Jordan share the passengers' seat with the eagle's flying high and keeping an eye out for danger.
Lincoln then realizes something. "Hey guys, how come Silver and her friends haven't even come to see me? I thought they'd heard about me getting poison gas hit?"
They all decided, it was time to tell them and so Michelle starts first. "Lincoln, Leslie and her friends aren't here at the moment."
Lincoln is shocked hearing this. "Wait what? What do you mean they're not here?"
"Well, turns out they had their thanksgiving in Haiti and they're far, far away from us at the moment and might not be back until the end of next week" replied Jordan. "They'll be in trouble for not informing the school about this too."
"Gretchen told us, well her parents know about this and now we're gonna have one week of no bad rich punks" replied Luna. "Royal Woods will be a lot more peaceful with them not here for a long while."
"Chances they might be there for more than a week" replied Ryan. "Gretchen knows that Leslie and her posse will get distracted and be too busy with the fun things in Haiti."
Lincoln sighs in relief. He then pulls Jordan close to him and she leans onto his shoulder. "Well, I guess I should plan something romantic we can do for next week Friday right?"
Jordan giggles and she kisses his cheek. "I look forward to it my handsome boyfriend of mine, but if Leslie comes back early, then I got a dodge ball with her name on it."
They all laugh at that joke. "I mean it."
(The Loud House.)
At the home of the Louds. Lynn Loud Sr. finishes making Mac n' Cheese bites, with the help of Luan and Jesse Rosato as they make more food for the comeback of the loud boy.
Lynn Sr then grabs something from the cabinet, but what he grabs is the wrong thing and he sees it's a jar of Sauerkraut and it has Lincoln's name on it. 'What the heck have I done? Now my son can't even enjoy this on pasta anymore.'
He sheds a few tears as he holds the jar. Jesse and Luan sees this and so Jesse walks out of the kitchen with the fried chicken and Luan goes to her dad.
"Dad, are you okay?"
"No, no I'm not Luan" replied Lynn Sr. "All of this….. The Exterminator Guy and all the way to the pets being threatened, was all because of me…." He then sheds some tears. "And now Lincoln can't eat Sauerkraut anymore. And I was gonna make a December special dish for him!" He starts to sob and sit on the ground and continues to cry.
Then Rita comes in and she sees this and she feels bad for her husband. "Luan, take the cake out to the dining room, I'll handle your father."
Luan nods and she leaves them alone and she can hear her mom trying to reassure him that everything was not his fault. Luan also knows this, but a part of her feels like they could've avoided this if they were all fast and strong enough to take the man down.
'When Lincoln gets back, we have to tell him the other condition we added to punish that Exterminator guy for what he did.'
She then places the cake onto the table and she sees Lucy and the twins all placing down the plates and utensils and a picture of Lincoln nicely drawn with the words. "Welcome home big Brother."
Luan smiles seeing this. "Nice touch girls and I know Lincoln will love it for sure."
"Of course he will, we made the whole thing to show how much we missed him and that even though he can't eat what he likes, he still has his family and should be grateful that he's alive, as we are also grateful for" replied Lucy.
They're all confused at what Lucy had just said. "Sorry, I was reading this very somber poem earlier and it made me feel a bit way too much into the dark zone. I think I need a break from the darkness again."
"Well, the good thing is that Linky is coming back and he'll be enjoying this awesome party and we should also tell him the condition that our lawyer made to that mean old exterminator guy" replied Lola.
"Not wrong." Gretchen comes down the stairs with Leni and they both have more decorations and they hand them to Rick and Peter Harris to set them up, "With my dad and the deal we made to the authorities, that man will never be a threat ever again."
"By the way Lana, where is your Metapod?" asked Leni.
Lana looks around. "Huh, I don't know. Where is the big guy anyway?" They all look around but don't see it anywhere.
Then they hear the arrival of a car and the front door is kicked open. "Lincoln's here everyone!" said Lynn Jr. "Also, now I am hungry! Looks like running around the neighborhood worked."
They all head outside to see Lincoln. "You could have just opened the door instead of kicking it down" said Lisa.
With all of them outside of the house, they all see the purple Ferrari arrive and coming out is none other than the brother they're all happy to have back. Lincoln Loud, along with Jordan, Luna, Michelle Lewis and Ryan and of course the eagles.
"Hey guys, glad to be back" replied Lincoln. They gather to hug him, but then they're mom blows the whistle.
"Do not overwhelm him guys, he still needs to recover in time from the condition he went through."
They all nod and they each get a turn to hug them, and same with Lori. Like she said, she won't go back to college until Monday. "Glad to have you back Lincoln."
Lincoln smirks. "Glad to be back sis." He then sees something slide down from the tree. "Oh, Lana you're Metapod." They all spot the cocoon Pokémon come down and fall onto its side.
Lana goes over and picks him up and brings him back to the others. "Yeah, he's been doing well lately and hasn't even broken free from his form yet. But we're all looking forward to seeing him evolve."
Lincoln pets the head of Metapod. "I'm glad you're safe Caterpie, and also glad you evolved too. Fighting off the Exterminator guy showed that you truly care and are loyal to this family and I'm happy you're part of it."
Metapod moves around and his eyes show happiness. Then Lincoln sees his dad come out of the house. "Guys, the Mac n' Cheese Bites are done." He then walks towards Lincoln, and in his hand is the only jar of Sauerkraut. "Hey son, g-glad you're back."
Lincoln goes over and he takes the jar from him. "Dad, don't push yourself too much. I know you think you caused this when you called that exterminator guy, but we didn't know how it would've all ended. This was not your fault and I won't hold it against you."
Lynn Sr wipes away some tears. "Are you sure kiddo? Because of me calling him, he sprayed you and you became poisoned and now you c-can't even eat y-you're favorite food spread."
"That part is true, but what matters is that I'm alive now and that those we have known as family are alive and well and safe from harm." Lincoln then looks to the jar. "This is gonna be one change that I won't ever forget, looks like I hit puberty in a whole new different way." He then hugs Lynn Sr.
"Don't blame yourself dad, this was never your fault."
Lynn Sr sheds some tears and he hugs him back. They all smile seeing this and they gather for one big group hug. They then depart from the hug. "So, I can only guess there's a big celebration going on right?"
They all nodded and they all went into the house. Soon, they all enjoy the food they have served and are all in the Living Room enjoying some nice chatter. "So, how was the test you retook from yesterday?" asked Lincoln.
Ryan chuckles nervously. "Well, as promised I went to the Middle School and Mrs. Salter was waiting for me and I retook the test I never took and I'm sure I aced it, but I won't know how well I did until Monday hits."
"We're sure you passed it Ryan, you're a smart kid and we know you can handle well on a simple test" replied Gretchen. "Also, I'm sure the school will be happy when you begin to pick the club you're good at."
"Yeah, and the clubs I choose are Chess and Tech club" replied Ryan. "Those are the best I can do."
"Have you tried the debate club?" asked Lisa. "That could be of good use to you since you do have the right thoughts of mind and words for the whole experience."
Lincoln then looks to Carol. "Lori, how's Jessica doing?"
Lori sighs. "Well she sent me a text and she said that the Carson family doesn't seem the same much with the brothers in juvie and one no longer part of the family, they don't even regret having no boys in the family and they had an amazing thanksgiving with the neighborhood back at Tuscola."
"At least they're happy, and this might make you happy as well" said Luan. They all look to each other and nod and they all know it's time to tell him.
Lincoln is confused by this. "What the heck is going on? Guys, what's happening?"
Luna, Ryan and Jordan look to him. "Linc, we told you that the Exterminator man is being arrested right?"
"Yeah, but I can tell there's something else involved as well" said Lincoln. "What is it?"
Jordan looks to Gretchen and she speaks next. "Thanks to my dad being a lawyer, he was able to make a deal with the authorities and now that man who we dub 'The Exterminator Guy' is gonna be sent to reformation for his actions, the location is a private and unknown location in Canada and he will be undergoing harsh lessons and condition to be rehabilitated for his actions."
"But chances he won't survive those cold places" said Lynn Jr. "so even if he doesn't make it, it's a win-win for everyone."
Lincoln is shocked to hear this. "Wow. That is something that does make me feel better, now he won't be able to come back and do some more damage. Anything else happen to me while I was stuck in bed?"
They all begin to share some things that they have done while he was out and also are glad that some rich girls won't be around to ruin the fun, through this Lincoln seems happy to see them all be friendly and no chaos of any sort.
He then looks to Jordan and pulls her close to him, which she kisses his cheek and they both share eating the chocolate cake.
They can tell that next month is gonna be a good thing for all of them.

A/N: Welcome back Lincoln and good riddance Exterminator Guy, and yes! One week of no rich and mean girls! Thank god, which means Lincoln and Jordan are gonna have a date on Friday and chances they're friends will be keeping an eye on the area just in case. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
