Chapter 408.
"Ryan and Gretchen"
(Rosato Mansion.)
Night has fallen and right now, we're gonna focus as the title says. Ryan Rosato walks out of his room and is dressed for the night, for his first ever date, with the girl he likes, Gretchen Warwick.
Ryan looks to himself in the mirror and he smiles at his looks. Ryan is wearing a light blue jacket with a white t-shirt underneath, light blue jeans and brown shoes and he doesn't need to adjust his hair, he knows he looks nice.
Ryan then leaves his room and he sees Ajax barking at him and he smiles. "Hey boy, just looking good and ready for tonight, and yes I am sorta nervous and yes there are like ten thousand different bus swarming inside of me right now."
Ajax is confused by this. Ryan then calms down. "Alright, time to go and make this night the best and romantic night that I can make it and thank goodness for the allowance mom and dad gave me."
Ryan goes down the stairs. "There's our little man!" Ryan sees his parents, Rick and Jesse. Then he sees his sister, Jordan. "Looking pretty slick and smooth in the suit kiddo" said Rick.
Jesse then takes a picture. "Oh my, you look so handsome Ryan. This is the first ever date in your life and we are so proud of you to be falling for the girl who you changed into a better person."
Ryan smirks. "Well, she needed a major change in life and to be honest I did thought she was pretty and didn't think she'd go for some guy like me. But I have to thank the Jordacoln couple for motivating me to talk to her. Thanks again Jordan and thanks to Lincoln, if he were here right now."
Jordan smirks. "You're welcome Ryan, all you needed was some motivation and now here you are. With a new family, and dating the girl you changed for the better, you took it to yourself and got tons of courage to make this all happen and I'm dang proud of you bro."
Ryan then hugs Jordan and she hugs him back. "Thanks for that sis and I do hope you and Linc can have a wicked awesome date tomorrow."
They then depart from the hug and Ryan is taken another picture by his mom and dad. "Mom, Dad. This isn't prom night, you guys do know that right?"
"Yeah, we know. But it sure does feel like it, and we do recall that when February begins, then you kids are going to the Middle School Junior's Prom" said Jesse.
"That is something I look forward to seeing for the both of you, along with Lincoln and Gretchen" replied Rick.
Ryan chuckles and looks to Jordan. "Do they do this to you as well?"
Jordan smirks. "You have no idea. I don't even need sisters to make my life feel like meddling ways are just turning up into something big, when it's my parents who are constantly happy for my happiness and future and also to the fact dad keeps joking for Lincoln to marry me, I don't know if those are jokes."
Ryan is shocked and now he fears for when Gretchen comes over for dinner, Rick might joke about them one day getting married. "Well, look at the time, I need to go and get to my date before I become late, bye guys see ya tonight."
Ryan then heads out of the house, and they all wave to him. "Kinda reminds us of when you went to your date with Lincoln" replied Jesse.
Jordan smirks. "Yeah, but I didn't act like him and all you guys did was support Lincoln to winning my heart, he won my heart years ago mom and dad."
Outside; Ryan sighs in relief. 'Dang. I nearly became the top priority mission to my mom and dad there. I guess this is the life of being a Rosato now.' He then walks over to the neighboring house, because the Rosato's and Warwick's are neighbors, there is no need to drive there.
Ryan then sees the limo is ready and cleaned up. 'Well, looks like Gretchen's limo is gonna be driving us for tonight. Sure wish I came up with the plan on transportation for us, all I got was the plan on the where and what time.'
Ryan then fixes his jacket. "Thank god FutureTech made these new kinds of jackets to keep folks warm when snow hits." He does look around and sees that there is now snow falling, just snow all over the place and mild winds.
Ryan knocks on the door and someone answers it, one of the butlers sees him and smiles. "Come in sir Rosato." Ryan nods and he goes in, then he sees a couple go towards him.
"Thanks Benjamin" Walking towards them are Wallace Warwick and Amity Warwick. The parents of Gretchen. "Glad you made it, and we know that being late isn't an issue with both family homes being so close" replied Amity.
"Yeah, I mean if we weren't neighbors, then my dad would give me a lift. Also, it's a lively evening to see you both sir and ma'am" replied Ryan.
Wallace chuckles. "You taking lessons from Lincoln Loud?"
Ryan is confused. "No sir, why?"
"Well, we heard from Rick and Jesse, that Lincoln was being such a nice, polite and gentleman-like kind of kid, and it seems like you share the same traits as well" replied Amity.
"Some part of us is thinking that maybe some of Lincoln's advice is helping you try and be nice and polite tonight for us" said Wallace.
"I assure you sir and ma'am, I am not taking Linc's advice. He just told me to be myself and be polite and… Okay, I think I am following his past advice. Wow, how did I not see that one coming?" said Ryan.
The parent's chuckle. "No need to flatter yourself boy, we understand" replied Rick.
They then see three of the maids come down the stairs and they begin to speak. "Ladies and gentlemen, and young man of the hour. We present to you, Gretchen Warwick."
The girl they speak of soon comes down the stairs and they are awe struck at what she's wearing.
Gretchen Warwick, her long curly hair is now a ponytail and is held up by a gold scrunchie that sparkles. She's wearing a yellow dress with a velvet jacket that has a pink flower on the right side, a velvet belt is around her waist, white socks and pink slip on shoes and she's applied makeup on her to look pretty.
The sight of Gretchen walking slowly down the stairs makes Ryan blush a bright red. "Buh….. Buh….. Buh…. Buh….. Buh." Yamper then gives him a small shock to snap him out of it. "Oh good gosh oh my, you are beautiful!" He then covers his mouth.
Yamper snickers at this and Gretchen's parent's chuckle. "Wow. Easy there tiger, don't go too fast and blush all over, the last thing we'd want is a red spill on isle crushing it" replied Wallace.
Gretchen sighs. "Mom, dad please. I know he's nervous and so am I and, thanks for the compliment. I think you look quite dashing on those clothes too."
Ryan blushes from this. "Thanks, and I was honest about you looking beautiful. Did anyone help you with the amazing look?"
Gretchen smiles. "Yeah, recall yesterday when you and the guys had a day to hang out together? Well, the gals helped me pick out what to wear and so this is it, and they were right, you do like it."
They then see the parents go towards them. "Kids, this is the first date ever for our little girl, and so we wanna treasure this whole thing for memory" said Amity.
Ryan and Gretchen chuckle and they get in position and the parents take pictures of this moment, they take a few more just in case.
"Did you're parents do the same thing?" asked Gretchen.
Ryan chuckles. "You have no idea." He then picks up Yamper and they take a picture with the little electric corgi Pokémon, even Gretchen gets to carry her little companion and soon, they have a lot of pictures.
"Well, looks like we have got tons of pics. We don't wanna be sating your time now, we know you guys have a big and possibly romantic night tonight" said Wallace.
"That we do sir and I know where we can go for our first date" replied Ryan.
"Then off you go kids, and take the limo as well. WE don't want you guys to get hurt or into trouble" said Amity.
The two preteens nod, then Gretchen goes to her parents and hugs them and they hug her back. "We're so proud of the changed and good girl you're becoming Gretchen."
"I'm happy to have changed too mom and dad" replied Gretchen. She then departs from their hug and she looks to the little Corgi. "Be good and keep mom and dad safe okay boy?"
Yamper barks and licks her and she kisses his forehead. "Good boy, I'll be back later." Gretchen then walks to Ryan and they both hold hands and they walk out the door with the help of the butler.
The parents walk out and watch as they board into the limo, and they wave to them and they wave back and they drive off to their first ever date.
"Where do you think Ryan is taking her?" asked Amity.
"Either dinner at a fancy restaurant, a movie date or a nice time at the mall" replied Wallace. "Either one is a good date in my book." They then walk back into the house with Yamper to enjoy their own evening together.
(Royal Woods Movie House.)
Ryan and Gretchen arrive to the place and they both see some folks are there to watch some movies. They look to the posters with different movies, and they're the same ones from yesterday.
"So, what do you wanna watch tonight?" asked Ryan.
Gretchen looks to all of them and she smiles when she sees one that is interesting. "Now, I know this might be a little scary, but I wanna check out the film: Love and Monsters. Looks kinda promising and it has love in it too."
Ryan smiles. "Okay then, let's go get the tickets and then the snacks, and I'll pay for the tickets and the snacks."
"Nope, let's split it all. Fair is fair and I don't wanna make things look like you're making me feel too special, because I want us to feel as equals for tonight" replied Gretchen.
Ryan smiles from her words. "Okay then, let's split the whole thing." They both walk towards the ticket booth. 'Gretchen has changed so much, and I can never be any more proud of her. Even after I left months ago, she has become someone else, without my help.'
After they get the tickets, they both grab some snacks which is a large box of popcorn and two large sodas. They both walk to the location of the film and go inside.
The room is a bit dark and they sit at the front to see the film. "This could be a bit suspenseful, and possibly might have some jumpscares, as the name states" replied Ryan. "You sure you can handle this?"
Gretchen holds his hand. "I'm sure I can handle this, and if it does get spooky or have some scary things coming out. Then I got you by my side and be grateful this isn't in 3D or it will get way more than just the normal jump scare scary."
They both then see the movie trailers and previews of future films begin, and they both get ready for the movie to begin, Gretchen then scooches closer to Ryan, the boy smiles and he places his arm around her and she leans close to him. The movie hasn't stared, and both are feeling the romance already.
(Later.)
The film is over and both preteens walk out of the place and talk about what they have seen.
"You know, I was expecting it to be scary and all, but that was barely scary and you were right, it was quite suspenseful and I loved the ending too" replied Gretchen. "Really speaks to me about how I shouldn't be all rich and always in line, and try things that aren't so bad, like being the Gretchen who loved to be outdoors."
Ryan smiles. "Glad you loved it, and I got more stuff for us to do tonight. Like that one."
They both see a photo booth and both of them go inside. They take a few pics. One where they both do some silly faces, one where they look cool in shades, one where they're hair mimics Lincoln and Jordan and one where Gretchen leans her head on Ryan's shoulder and he pulls her close to him.
They soon walk out of the photo booth and look to the pictures. "Yup, these are all keepers" said Gretchen. They then walk around the mall some more, while both holding hands.
"You feeling hungry tonight my dear?" asked Ryan.
Gretchen smirks. "My dear? Really? Well, okay. I am a bit peckish, the popcorn wasn't enough. Where did you have in mind for second dinner?"
Ryan then leads the way, and he brings Gretchen to the Dim Sum place, the place where she once was banned, well not anymore and they both enjoy some delicious Chinese dinner.
Unknown to them, that Clyde and Chloe see this. "Wow. Lincoln was right, he did chose the mall" said Clyde.
"Yeah, so did you" replied Chloe. The two of them walk off holding hands and headed to watch a movie as well.
(Skip, hours later at the Warwick mansion which is near the Rosato Mansion,) – Wow! That was a lot to say!
The limo arrives and the driver opens the door for them. Ryan and Gretchen both walk out of the limo and make their way to her home, while the limo driver drives the limo into the garage.
"You know, maybe the next time we're on a date, we can just walk to the place or take our bikes or take another ride" said Gretchen.
Ryan smiles. "I think I can come up with a plan for that, unless you got one already."
Gretchen chuckles. "Sorta, we can sort that one out for next time." They then walk up to her home and are near the door. "Thanks for tonight, this is my first date and it was nice, I loved it and I loved how much you planned it all."
Ryan smiles and holds her hands. "I wanna do whatever I can to make both of us happy and see where we can go as we make this relationship work. We're not boyfriend and girlfriend yet, but one day we will be, but not yet. I'll make that move when the time is right, when we both feel like we're as committed as soul mates."
Gretchen smiles and she blushes. "As committed as Jordacoln?"
Ryan chuckles and also blushes. "Yup, just as committed as our two friends, as committed as Jordacoln. Our own ship….. Ryatchen."
Gretchen giggles. "We need to work on that one. We can work on it together when the time comes."
Ryan chuckles nervously. "Yeah, that was something I didn't plan out."
The two preteens look to each other and both of them inch closer and closer and soon the gap closes and both of them share a small kiss. They then depart and look to each other.
Gretchen and Ryan blush and they both back away from each other, with their hands feeling like they don't wanna let go. "See you tomorrow Gretch" said Ryan.
"And I'll see you tomorrow, and tonight in my dreams" replied Gretchen.
Ryan chuckles. "And I will as well, goodnight and sweet dreams my darling."
Gretchen giggles. "And a goodnight to you my dearest." She then goes back into her home and she closes the door.
Ryan walks back to his home and he has a skip in his step and feels like dancing in place, but he controls himself as to not look a bit too goofy.
Gretchen and Ryan are both thinking of one thing. 'I can't wait for when we do this again, and then we make it official.'

A/N: Next will be a chapter for Lincoln and Jordan on their date, without the bother of Leslie Silver and her friends, and this time they're friends won't be there to keep an eye on them, they can date in peace, until the rich posse come back on Sunday.
