Chapter 419.
"Leni's not so ditzy."
(The Loud House.)
The sound of an alarm is heard in the bedroom of the eldest loud sibling, and that eldest sibling is Leni Loud. She opens her eyes, well she does so and then removes her sleeping mask. She then puts it away and turns off her alarm, then a clown alarm goes off and Luan turns it off.
Leni and Luan are still roommates, after Lori left for college of course.
"Come on sis, we got school today and we have to be ready for anything that happens, like a pop quiz" said Leni. She then grabs her towel and her toothbrush.
Luan is still sleepy, but she manages to get up and follow her sister. They both open the door and see that the others haven't woken up yet, until the bathroom door opens and they run into Lincoln who is fresh and clean and Luna as well, both in their towels.
"Hey Leni, morning Luan. The bathroom is all yours" replied Lincoln.
"We finished taking turns, we'll be getting ready now" said Luna. "See you dudes at breakfast."
"Okay, thanks guys." Leni and Luan walk into the bathroom to take turns in using the shower and also brushing their teeth.
Lincoln and Luna enter their room, they have their backs turned and they begin to put on their daytime clothes and also get their winter clothing ready.
"Sure is another glorious day with Leni being the not so same girl we once knew huh Lunes." Lincoln puts on his socks after he puts on his underwear.
"Heck yeah little bro, kinda makes me glad Leni is past her old ditzy self. You think she still has some resent after what she went through with the tumors? I mean, mom and pops didn't even know or bother to have her properly checked up" replied Luna who puts on her bra.
Lincoln sighs. "I don't think she resents them, but the one thing she does have is disappointment. She's not angry or hates them. The tumors being removed, have made her see things clearly, but she still has a kind heart and wouldn't hate someone forever." Lincoln puts on his shirt and adjusts his belt.
"Like Silver, she hates her and sure as heck so does everyone else" replied Luna as she puts on her shirt and then her skirt, black leggings and then white belt.
"That's one thing we can all agree on" said Lincoln. They were now dressed for the day and ready to head out. They both leave the room and see the line has been made outside the bathroom.
Lynn waiting behind Lisa who is next in line. The twins behind Lynn Jr and Lucy holding Lily's hand as they are last. The bathroom system in the loud house has changed, quite a lot.
Lincoln and Luna head downstairs after greeting them and see what they can do to help out with breakfast. "But the one thing I still retain, is helping prepare everyone's morning" said Lincoln.
"That part is true, but you're not alone this time" said Luna.
(Later.)
All of the louds have their things and their bellies full for their day at school.
"I got one heck of a day for me!" Lynn Jr has her hockey stick and ice skates. "Hockey game is this Saturday and I have a lot to practice, so I might be home late."
"I'm glad the play is done, now we can rest easy until next year for any other events we're gonna have" said Luan. She then has Mr. Coconuts. "So that means we can go on another date with Benny and my sweet heart."
"I have to check on what my associates are planning to do for the month at the Young Morticians Club, then I have to meet with Haiku and the Middle School Morticians Club after school at the Royal Woods Cemetery" replied Lucy.
"I request a ride after school, I don't have any plans and wish to be back here to finish anything necessary to studying" replied Lisa.
Lana pets her Metapod that is on the couch. "See ya when we get back girl. Maybe we can see how heavy you can get with the harden ability."
"Another reason why I wish to come back home after school. I wish to see how strong our Pokémon can be with the harden ability" said Lisa. "Chances Darcy will wanna tag along."
"Lis, please be careful when handling our Metapod friend" said Lincoln. "She's a living creature after all."
"I assure you, I will not perform any unruly experiments that may also harm. I wish to observe and take notes" said Lisa. "But I wish to wonder, what the heck is with the odd worm like Pokémon in the park, it looks like a grub or larvae."
"We can talk to the FutureTech guys when we have the chance. I gotta be ready for some rehearsals for when we begin to perform at the park before December 24th, the big reveal of the Park's new Christmas tree" replied Luna.
"No pageants, no worries and sure as heck no rivals to deal with. Now I can just rest easy, knowing I won the Royal Woods Little miss Winter, and now I have to wait for next month" replied Lola.
They then look to Leni who comes down the stairs with her phone in front of her. "Leni, what's going on?" asked Lucy.
"Huh? Oh, well Lori said she's coming back tomorrow" replied Leni.
"What?!"
Leni nods. "She said that college will be closed until the start of next month on January 2. So Lori will be back home for the rest of the days before she goes back. Kinda feels nice to have big sis back home, but that means one thing."
They all look to Luan. "I know, I know. Looks like I'll be back home to move my stuff and we have to turn the old linen closet back into a room for me to stay in."
"I think I can handle that one." Michelle Lewis comes down the stairs with Lily. "Lily won't be doing much or staying long in day care today. Chances the snow storm will come later in the night, but the lady running the place wants to let the little ones be home early later. So, when I come back I'll manage in clearing out the line closet and turning it into a room for Luan to stay in."
"Thanks Michelle." Rita and Lynn Sr come out of their room and have what they need. "Okay everyone, let's get going."
They all walk out of the house and they lock the door. Lulu comes out of the garage and has new treads deployed and she begins to monitor the place. The eagles see this and they prepare for takeoff.
Luna goes into her car, and with her is Lincoln, Lucy and Lynn Jr. While the twins, Lisa and Luan go with Leni into her car. Michelle buckles up Lily in her baby seat and she starts her red Ferrari and Lynn Sr is with his wife in Vanzilla and they watch the other cars leave.
The last one to leave is Leni and this upsets them.
"We have a lot to make up for what we did huh?" asked Lynn Sr.
Rita sighs. "Yeah, Leni is smart now. Well, as smart as a normal teenage girl is. She sees clearly now, she knows what she's doing and she's still upset she lost so much education and focus throughout her time of being with us."
Lynn Sr feels upset in his stomach. "I wish we did the right thing and gave her a proper checkup. What the heck were we thinking not making sure she didn't have anything in her head?"
Rita sighs and places a hand on her husband's shoulder. "I don't know dear, but I doubt she's the only one we have to apologize for what we did."
They both know, that the rest of their kids and Lori are sharing some resent after they got some scans and have seen that they have some conditions that don't seem so bad, but have remained unknown to them for so long. But they're glad they don't have any bad issues.
Lynn Sr starts the van. "Well, time to go to work." They then drive off to their workplaces.
(Royal Woods High School.)
Leni walks down the halls and she goes through the books she has, she does wave to some of the students she knows and then she meets with her two friends, Jackie and Mandee.
"Hi girls, so we looking forward to today's test?" asked Leni.
"Sorta. I mean, this isn't a big test, but it might be hard. I mean, it is Algebra and even though being a senior is like, the best thing for us, the grades and subjects are becoming harder and harder each time" said Mandee.
"But we know you got this. You have been studying hard lately, ever since the first week of the month" said Jackie.
Leni nods. "Yeah, math is not hard anymore now that I understand them. Still kinda upset after what I went through as a kid and growing up."
Jackie and Mandee understand, besides them, some students have heard about what made Leni who she was and that shocked them to the core and the secret remains safe, for now.
All three teens walk down the halls together.
"Not easy still for some of us to know that you had tumors in your head, well used to have tumors in your head" said Jackie.
"Being an older sister and taking responsibility really did save your life and leaving only one disgusting bug" said Mandee.
Leni sighs. "Yeah, I am glad that the tumor and the dead ones are gone, but I still have a sad and angry emotional problem. I had to go through my whole life, being the dumb and ditzy blonde and not knowing I had a problem and my mom and dad didn't do much and just thought it was a phase."
Then they're other friend Ruby catches up with them. "A phase? That dumb thing is not a phase. Your parents were blinded, and only wished to see you happy. That is a nice thing for them to do, but they also have to be there and concerned for any medical conditions and they did not see the conditions that were thriving inside your cranium."
"If they did saw it coming, they would've liked, done something. But they didn't, which really pouts me on edge to know it and also my dad, who is a doctor to the hospital as well."
The three teens are shocked that Ruby just sai that. "Oh, sorry. I plan to take up medical training when I go to college, but that could be a long while, I'm not a senior after all."
"Everything you just said made so much sense and I understood them. Also, good for you in taking up a course early for your future" replied Leni.
"So, how are things with Spencer?" asked Mandee.
"Doing fine. He did tell me he has a plan for us to go on a date this Friday and we're also thinking of having both our families for Christmas. I think he plans to ask me to be his girlfriend" said Ruby, which makes her blush.
Leni, Mandee and Jackie awe at this. "Girl, you got this. But, if you need some help in some clothing for your date to go awesome, then ask us and we can go to the mall later" said Jackie.
"Thanks girls, that means a lot and I'll think about that offer" said Ruby.
Then Chaz catches up to them. "Hey girls, did you hear that some of our friends from last year are coming back to Royal Woods?"
Leni nods. "Lori said she'll be back since college is gonna be closed until January 2. So, she gets to be back home for the remainder of the early Christmas vacation she's got."
"Same with my sis Dana, she's coming back too. Which means Tad, Roy, Becky, Carol and Whitney are also coming back" said Chaz. "Gonna be nice to have big sis back in town."
"And that means they're gonna be in the whole shopping central again" said Mandee. "They have missed so much, the December sales have been thriving and booming."
"The one thing I look forward to, is the Christmas party we're gonna have on Sunday. It's gonna be totes awesome!" said Leni. They all continue to talk and chat about what they plan to do soon, and possibly for December 20.

The school day is done for the moment, and now Leni is at work and she just finished one heck of a sale.
Leni closes the register and sighs in relief. "Now that was a tough sale. Didn't think Scoots was that determined to get the best in winter gear, but what the heck is most of it for anyway?"
She then sees her two work friends go towards her. "Mrs. C said we can have our break now. Let's go and grab some Cannoli's and milkshakes" said Fiona.
Leni leaves her post and she goes with her friends and they go through the mall. "So, what the heck are you two planning for this month?"
"My parents are planning to have a big family reunion Christmas party and sure as heck I am in on it" replied Miguel. But his amused face turns to dull. "Not amused to see my cousins though."
Fiona sighs. "You think you got it bad? My mom and dad are coming to town for the week, when they do they bring their parakeets and they can be so annoying."
Leni feels bad for them. "Come on guys, tis the season to be merry and happy with what we have. We have a holiday for our families to come together and it's gonna be all worth it when we spend time with them. They may be annoying, but they mean well, all of them."
Miguel and Fiona smile. "You're right, thanks for the advice Leni. This new Leni is….. Quite better than the old one" said Miguel.
Leni giggles. "I've changed and sure as heck I am not the dumb Leni everyone once knew. Surgery helped me and removed the problem and now I wanna try and be the best big sis I can be. Even though, things could change when….. When next year comes in the summer." She looks down with some sadness.
Miguel and Fiona know what that means, Leni is a senior and soon she will graduate.
Leni then smiles again. "But, I have time to still be with my siblings. All of them, and enough time before I take off from the nest and search for my own brand of education and that would be college, just like Lori."
"Good to see you growing up with such determination Leni. Also, if you do plan to live by yourself, do you have a plan on where to go?" asked Fiona.
"I do, and that's a secret. For now, I'll continue to be spending time with the family I know and love. Also, Lori is coming back tomorrow along with some old company we know and love so much" said Leni.
Miguel smirks. "Well, Dana and Becky will love the new winter sweaters on sale this week."
"Carol and Whitney will be total shocked when they see the new scarfs and shoes" said Fiona.
Leni chuckles. "One thing I know, Lori will look for a new outfit for a date with Bobby."
But then Leni runs into someone and the things she bought is on the ground. "Oh sorry, I guess I wasn't…" Leni is shocked to see who it is. "Oh, Hope Pertland."
It is Hope Pertland, the best friend of Leslie and a member of their rich group. She's shocked to see Leni and then she gets her things back into the bags she got from Gryphon's Shopping.
Leni then helps her, and so does Miguel and Fiona. Hope then gets her things back. "You didn't have to do that."
"Do what?" asked Leni.
Hope looks down with an upset look. "Help me. I could've done so myself, I mean a lot of folks in town just ignore me and let me handle my own issues."
"Well, I don't like to see that happen, and you needed help and I wanted to help" replied Leni. She then hands her the box of shoes. "Also, these shoes are totes your style."
Hope smiles. "Thanks, I chose them myself since I know a thing or two when it comes to fashion. Also, those new scarfs at Reiningers, are there still some left?"
Hearing her say that shocks them. They didn't think she'd ask that. "Umm, yeah there are. But we haven't restocked them yet, we plan to do so later" said Fiona.
"Oh, okay. I guess I'll wait. See you." Hope then walks away, but then Leni calls her out.
"Hope."
The preteen turns around and looks to her. "If you feel like talking, and you're friends aren't around. Then, don't be afraid to ask me." Leni then gives her, her number on a small paper. "Keep this safe and don't let the others see this."
Hope is confused. "What are you doing?"
Leni kneels down to her level and places her hands on her shoulders. "From what I heard from Linky and his friends, especially Gretchen. You're not a bad person, just misguide and I know deep down you feel that too. But you don't know how to stand up or be yourself and tell those what's right and wrong. I wanna help you."
Hope looks to Leni, and in her eyes she sees her kind and sweet nature and how trustworthy she can be and also how pretty she was and…. Wait, what?!
Hope then looks away and turns red. "Y-Yeah, okay. T-Thanks."
Leni then gets up and smiles. "See you around Hope. Talk to me when you feel like it." Leni then goes off with her friends for something to eat.
Hope walks away, and she heads for her limo outside the mall, but deep down she feels a major pang of feelings in her soul. 'W-What the heck happened? What happened back there? Why did I feel that in front of her?!'

A/N: Leni being smart is a good thing for her future, well as smart as she comes and goes. Lori coming back is a sign to the new episode I saw recently, the one that is as stupid in superstition as the "No Such Luck" thing. You guys know what episode is that.
