Chapter 428.
"A Family Christmas Dinner Night."

Morning shines onto the neighborhood of Franklin Avenue, Lincoln is fast asleep in bed, and even though his alarm went off. He didn't bother and just went back to sleep. But all of a sudden, he's turned over and he hears a voice. "Good morning Linky." He then gets some kisses onto his face which makes him chuckle and he opens his eyes to see who the assailant is.
"Hi Leni, good morning sis." Lincoln sits up and Leni hugs him. "Leni, I know what day it is, but the hug is not really necessary."
Leni then departs from the hug. "Sorry Linky, it's just today we're gonna have our Christmas Dinner at the Rosato Mansion and Jordan along with the others are gonna be part of the family gift exchange too."
Lincoln chuckles. "Which is why I have the gift for that person I picked safe and hidden and I know she'll like it."
Leni smirks. "Sorry Luna isn't here right now, but she did volunteer to help dad and the others with the food for the whole dinner tonight, chances they're gonna need a lot with the guests all coming over."
Lincoln smirks. "It's alright. Well, I should go and get ready now. How are the others?"
Leni then gets up from the bed. "All getting ready with the gifts to be exchanged when we get to the Rosato Mansion, see you down stairs Lincoln." She then walks out of the room and she goes to check on the others down stairs.
Lincoln gets out of bed, gets onto his wheel chair and sets it to hover mods and he heads towards the bathroom and then he recalls the gift he has for his sister, Lola. 'When she opens her gift, boy will he be surprised. I hope the other two will make it to the dinner tonight.' He then goes into the bathroom, but he does see a message from Clyde and he speaks with his friend.
Leni then heads down the stairs and she meets up with Lori who is finished talking to Bobby on the phone. "Ready to go and help dad, sis."
"Ready when you are sis" said Lori. "Also, I hope things will be fine with Bobby and his family. I got this bad feeling something bad or unexpected is gonna happen to them, mostly to his dad Arturo."
They both walk out of the house and get into Lori's car and drive to the restaurant where the food is being made. Artemis and Freya see this and they take off and follow them.
Lynn Jr, and Lana both go back into the house after helping with the Yates and some of their Christmas decorations that fell from last night's snow storm. "Sure is good to help" said Lynn.
"Darn right, but the one thing we're all looking forward to is tonight!" said Lana. She has her Metapod strapped to her back, kinda like a backpack.
"Oh heck yeah" said Lynn. "Gonna be so much food to chow down, but I won't go too far and eat too much. Everyone has to eat too." They both go inside and help the others with what they plan to do.
Rita is busy placing all the Christmas gifts into the back of Peter Harris's truck and the guy is helping too.
"There are so many gifts, this seems a bit too much and what the heck is that big one?" Peter Harris looks to the larger gift that kinda looks like skis. "Seriously, it says it's from Leni, but what is it?"
Rita then thinks. "I honestly don't know, but all we can do is get ready for tonight. You looking forward to this first Christmas with the girl you're dating?"
Peter smirks. "Michelle? Darn right I am, and I am looking forward to the dinner everyone is gonna have. Sure is a shame old Grouse ain't here. But he has a family to go to this year once again."
Peter then walks to the house, but his foot is caught on some rope and he's now upside down. Rita sighs. "Lana, I thought you were done with trying to catch reindeer?"
"Wait what?" Lana goes outside. "Oh, I was wondering if I missed one of my traps from last time."
Peter sighs. "So glad I found it. Please get me down."
(Rosato Mansion.)
A knock on the door is heard and Ryan opens the door and smiles seeing who it is. "Glad you guys came, come on in." He lets the louds walk into the house and all of them greet Jordan who rushes to Lincoln and hugs him. The others do notice the mistletoe above Lincoln and Jordan, by Harrier! Nice!
"A happy early Christmas my snow-white capped handsome knight."
Lincoln smirks. "And a happy early Christmas to you, my snowy rose queen of the eve." They share a small kiss, which Lori and Leni take a picture of.
"So, are the others here?" asked Lincoln.
Ryan nods. "Gretchen and her mom and dad are here, but we do wanna know where is…."
"Hello everyone." They step aside and see that it was two folks they are truly familiar and happy to see. "Hello everyone, we came." Jillian Henvers and her 6'month old son, Lucas who is more than happy to see Lincoln and Jordan once more.
"Lucas!" Lincoln and Jordan go over to the baby who is eager for them to carry him, and Jillian lets them. "Hello again Lucas, we missed you so, so much." Jordan boops his nose which makes him giggle.
Jillian smiles. "He's really fond of the two who found and saved him, he also loved the plush toys you got for him too. He likes pandas and rabbits and polar bears."
Lincoln looks to Lucas. "Did you like the early Christmas gift we sent ya little buddy?"
Lucas giggles and he reaches for Lincoln, and so Jordan lets him carry the baby and they both look to each other and smile. Lincoln looks to Jillian. "We're happy that you and Lucas came for dinner tonight, we know you don't have any family left and so we're letting you guys be part of this one."
Jillian smiles. "Thanks, this is much appreciated and we don't know how to even repay all of you."
"No need ma'am, what matters is that we're all together" said Lori.
They all go into the house, and Rick and Jesse head out of the house to help Lynn Sr, Peter Harris and Michelle Lewis carry the rest of the food. Even the Warwick parents help out, they send their servants to have their own Christmas together with the families they have elsewhere.
The pets go around and so do the eagles, and they interact with Ajax, and the same goes for Metapod, Yamper and Rockruff. They even see Stunky, which means Delilah is here.
They also see the Sharp parents go and help as well, and same with the Zhau Gonzales family, they see Stella's granny and Stella telling them about the stuff they do in their country for Christmas. Also there, are the parents of Delilah Silver, and of course, he comes Delilah.
"Hey guys!" Delilah goes over and she hugs Lincoln and Jordan. "So glad you came."
Jordan smirks. "Yeah, she has been quite the excited one when she came here, and Simon is also here." They wave to Simon who is with Stella and her granny. They then depart from the hug.
"Glad my parents came with me for this one and brought some donuts they made, and you guys are gonna love them!" said Delilah. This gets Lynn Jr's attention.
"So, where's Hope at?" asked Lincoln. He hands Lucas back to Jillian and she lets her baby play with Lily.
"Right here guys." Hope comes out from the Rosato study library room and with her are her parents. "Guys, these are my parents. Jacob and Daisy Pertland."
Jacob Pertland – Brown hair made into a military buzz cut and a mustache, stands at the same height a Lynn Sr and is wearing a black suit with a white shirt underneath and brown pants with snowman patterned belt. He has a new job.
Daisy Pertland – Long light brown hair, wearing red lipstick and makeup. Wearing a red blouse and velvet zipper jacket, dark blue skirt and black heeled shoes. She also has a new job.
All of them go over and greet the parents of Hope. "A pleasure to meet all of you and to those who also have helped with our daughter and her, less that good ways" said Daisy. "Thank you so much for helping our daughter, Hope."
"We are so sorry for the mean things she has done, especially siding with Leslie" said Jacob. "We thought she was a good best friend, but we never thought Leslie was the kind of girl to go too far."
Jillian smiles. "She didn't want to be part of it, Lincoln and Jordan told me and I can trust and forgive you, Hope."
Hope then sees the baby Lucas and goes towards him and the baby looks to her confused. She kneels down to the infant. "I am so sorry that my old friends tried to take you away."
Lucas reaches for Hope, and so she carries the infant who hugs her, this makes her shed some tears and she hugs him back.
They all smile seeing this and all of them go over and interact with th infant, and they also begin to exchange their gifts, but all have promised not to open them until the following day.
But what was shocking the most, was that each of them had a gift for the baby Lucas.
All of them know that this is Lucas' first Christmas ever, and it might not be with his dad who left him, but at least he had his mom and all of these new friends, who he can call family.
Then Lynn Sr comes to them. "Everyone, dinner is served." They all go to the Dining room and enjoy the large feast in front of them.
Lynn Jr is surprised by the food that all the families have brought for this night, but this food is for all and she's okay with that.
They all go over and begin to eat and even the Pokémon have some plates with some food for them to enjoy, along with the pets and eagles, but Hope's parents Jacob and Daisy speak. "Excuse me, but we would like to say some things." They all remain quiet and listen to them.
"From our dearest hearts, we are truly honored and thankful for this. I mean, we haven't had a good family get together Christmas dinner since 2018, and last year we couldn't do much either. But we're so happy that things have changed for the better now and for our daughter Hope as well" replied Daisy.
"We're glad that our little girl has strayed away from the path she was given by Leslie Silver, and we are also sincerely sorry for the actions she has done in the past and to this town when she came. We will do what we can to earn trust after what has transpired and again, thank you for letting us be part of this festive moment" said Jacob.
Hope smiles and she hugs her parents and they hug her too. The moment is touching enough, for everyone to take a photo of this moment. A moment for Hope to be with her parents and enjoy this nice night with family friends.
They then begin to eat the food that has been made. Then Lynn Sr asks. "So, Mr. and Mrs. Pertland, how long do you two plan to stay in town?"
Jacob and Daisy smile. Hope is confused by this. "Mom, dad? What is it?"
"Hope, we're staying in town" replied Daisy. This makes her go wide eyed and faint.
Gretchen smirks. "Did I do this during thanksgiving?"
But as they continue to try and wake up Hope. Lincoln notices Jordan looking to her phone. "What's wrong?"
"I got a text from someone we both know." She shows Lincoln the message and he sees who it's from.
Gyro – Hello, Jordan Rosato. Someone special will be coming to your world when midnight closes in, if you hear him at night then it means he has come and do not bother him and let him be. See you soon kid.
Lincoln and Jordan are confused. "Why the heck is he cryptic when he makes these kinds of words?" asked Jordan. "Who the heck is this person coming?"
Lincoln thinks. 'Could it be? Nah, it can't be.' They then continue with their family Christmas dinner and all of them looking forward for Christmas morning.
(Nighttime.)
Lincoln goes down the stairs using te hover boosters from his wheel chair to grab something to drink, but then he stops and he turns around and as he does so he sees the milk and cookies are all eaten and there are tons of gifts by the Christmas tree, and these are not the gifts they have all exchanged to the other.
'Maybe mom and dad got those.'
But then he hears a sound out the window and he looks out and sees someone laughing with such joy and he takes off on a sleigh and through a portal, and he swears he saw reindeer pulling it.
'Okay, so am I dreaming?' Patriot sits onto his shoulder and he pets him. 'Nope, this is definitely real.' Then he recalls the message Jordan got from Gyro, and this makes him shocked to figure it out.
"Okay buddy, tomorrow we have to tell Jordan about this." He then walks back into the kitchen and he gets something to drink, then he's off to bed.
Tomorrow is a day to be happy for.
