Dean couldn't stop the feeling in his chest as he looked down at the woman currently cuddled into his side. Her head was resting on his chest, arm draped across his stomach while one of her legs was tangled with both of his. There was a small smile on her face and periodically she'd snuggle into him more, mumble his name, and make the smile on his face widen.

He didn't understand how she captured his heart with her narcissistic tendencies, snarky attitude, constantly wavering between a superiority complex and an inferiority complex, trust issues, and more secrets than a secret society, but she did. The weirder part about it was that he loved all of those things about her and really wanted to work with her on her issues while she worked with him on his issues. But he'd gladly spend the rest of his life with her if she asked him to because nobody understood him like she did.

"I love you, Christina." He whispered, gently pushing her hair behind her ear. Her nose scrunched slightly, but relaxed just as quickly before she shifted closer to him(if that was even possible). Somewhere in his mind he knew that her sleeping for as long as she had been was healthy, but he was just so accustomed to her being able to run off of two hours and a cup of coffee that her sleeping this much was worrying him and he was half tempted to wake her up. But every time he considered doing it, he stopped himself because he wasn't sure when she'd ever sleep like this again.

Glancing over at the clock, Dean saw that it was two forty-five in the afternoon. He had put her to sleep at about seven thirty, after three hours of sex and cuddling, and he watched her sleep for a few minutes before following her lead and falling asleep. Here he was seven hours later, watching her sleep again. Every now and then he'd touch her; pushing her hair out of her face, kissing her forehead, and gently rubbing her side. Little things that wouldn't wake her unless she was already waking up.

He was using this time to commit her to memory; how she looked, how she felt(from the subtle brush of her hair against his chest to the way her weight felt on his body), the sound of her mumbling his name. Everything she did, he wanted to remember for when he was feeling down again. All he'd have was the memory of her to help him out of the darkness, but he felt it would be enough. She had done so much for him already, some she knew about and other he kept her in the dark about, he would always feel like a burden if he asked her to save him from himself once again.

He hoped that her having his child would be enough to keep him away from the darkness that was constantly taunting him. All the drinking and smoking, the drugs he stopped doing years ago, they all taunted him. Trying to pull him in and make him screw himself up completely to the point where all the lights in his life were snuffed out and he would be left with nothing- nobody that could could pull him back to the right side of the world.

When he discovered that CJ was one of the lights in his life that would keep the darkness at bay, she joined wrestling on a very short list of things that he would never be able to let go of for fear of falling into the dark. For months on end all he needed was a text from her and he didn't want to go out to the bar because the need to talk to her was bigger than his want for a drink. That was a huge deal to him... Until he fucked everything up with her and came dangerously close to losing her for good. He drank twice as much as he did before he met her in an attempt to fill the void she left and to forget what he did for a while.

But now he had her back. The stars were starting to align and now he not only had her, but the child they made together. Sure, Seth was somewhere in the mix with his kid, but he'd have no problems with treating Seth's child as if he or she was his own flesh and blood. They would be part of CJ, and that was more important than who their father was.

He only hoped that he could be a decent father. The kind that stayed up to read bedtime story after bedtime story even though bedtime was over an hour ago. The kind that would play catch for hours on end even if his kid had a terrible arm and couldn't catch for shit. The kind that did everything in his power to be whatever his kid wanted him to be; a teddy bear, conquerer of any monsters in the closet, a superhero, anything. All he really wanted was to make the best childhood for his kid, since he didn't have a great childhood. He didn't really have much of a family, either, and his kid was going to have one. A great one, at that.

Seth was laying in bed, which was odd since it was late in the afternoon. After not getting any sleep during the night, just useless tossing and turning, he was exhausted. One would say that he was too busy feeling sorry for himself to sleep, but Seth Rollins didn't ever feel sorry for himself. He felt guilty, though.

He knew deep down that going out with Orton and Hunter was wrong, but he had to. Even after committing the ultimate sin by betraying his brothers, Randy still didn't trust Seth and Seth desperately needed his trust if the whole Evolution thing thing was going to work out. He was really sketchy about going out and drinking with two guys he didn't trust surrounded by temptation, but he had to so he could work towards that better life for CJ and their unborn child- Dean's too, because that's how considerate he was. But there was something so exciting about some strange woman suck him off, knowing that he'd most likely never see her again, that he just couldn't deny in his inebriated state of mind. He knew she was only doing it for the money, but she did it so well and swallowed every drop that left him, he tipped her an extra twenty for the effort.

But that whole time he knew that he was picturing CJ on her knees in front of him. She was the only woman that was ever on her mind, and he screwed things up with her royally. He knew she'd never keep their child away from him, should she leave him, but she wasn't going to leave him because he'd do anything within his power to get her to stay with him. He wouldn't be a douche and force her to stay, but he'd definitely give it his all. He'd need the weekend off, though.

He blindly searched the nightstand for his phone, the light thudding of his hand against the wood further aggravating the headache he'd had since noon. After a fruitless search on one side, Seth turned over onto his stomach with a groan, finding the small rectangle on his first search of the nightstand. He wasn't sure how to ask such a favor of Hunter, but after selling out it was the least the older man could do for him. So Seth searched his contacts for Hunter Hearst Helmsley who, in his phone, was still under the name "Stupid Shithead".

I should probably change that soon. Seth thought to himself as he held his phone to his ear, not excited to have to talk to Hunter so soon.

"Seth, my boy. What can I do for you?"

"Hey, Hunter. Ah, I know this may sound bad, but-"

"Is everything alright?" Hunter cut him off, and for a moment Seth actually thought that he cared.

"Well, no. It's CJ. She, uh- she's taking this whole thing really badly. She and the guys were close, y'know? So I've landed my ass in the dog house." Seth decided that partial honesty would be the best way to go when it came to Hunter. The older man chuckled, something Seth wasn't sure how to take. Was it a "I know how that feels" chuckle or a "gee bro it sucks to suck" chuckle? He feared that he'd never know for sure.

"Women. Moody little shits aren't they? But we can't live without 'em."

"No we cannot." Seth chuckled, shutting his eyes tight in pain. This headache was going to be the death of him if CJ didn't kill him first. "I was wondering if I could get the weekend off to get back in her good graces? If I can't, it's fine. I definitely understand."

"No, no. That's fine. Win your girl back and I'll see you on Monday. Cole is demanding an interview with you."

"God damnit." Seth sighed, making Hunter laugh out loud.

"I know. Firing him would cost me too much with the all the bullshit in the little twerp's contract, and the all mighty 'war correspondent' wants to feel important sometimes." Hunter explained, sighing at the end. "Being COO requires a lot of decisions that I don't really want to make, but keeping my conversations with Michael Cole to a minimum is priority."

"I can understand. Thank you so much for the weekend."

"Give CJ my regards."

"Will do. See you Monday." Seth stated before hanging up, then staring at his phone while he contemplated texting CJ. He decided against it, knowing that she probably wouldn't reply with how upset she was with him. So he got out of bed and headed down the stairs, knowing that he needed some of the painkillers in his bag if he was going to come up with an elaborate plan to get her to at least speak with him.

But what caught his eye was the brand new looking spiral notebook left on the kitchen counter, a pen laying beside it. He hadn't used one since high school, so he knew that it couldn't have been his. So he opened it as he filled up a water glass to take his pills, not expecting to read what was written the beautiful scrawl that was his girlfriend's.

'Monday, June 2nd
4:45
I started crying- I think they were happy tears because Adam sent me a letter and gift cards.

11:27pm
I'm crying again. This time I think they're sad tears because Seth isn't answering his phone. I'm worried.'

Seth didn't understand why she was journaling her feelings. CJ hated everything related to feelings because she didn't understand her own, so why would she be journaling them? But Seth also saw this as a gateway into her mind, one he'd been searching for since he met her. Not even thinking that he could be violating her personal space, Seth read on since his curiosity was piqued.

'Tuesday, June 3rd

10:12 am
I'm upset. I don't know if I'm mad or sad- I just know that I'm upset over Seth. I haven't heard from him since before Raw and I'm so upset about it.

Noon
I'm feeling better. Still upset, but Dean and Roman have been great company.

3:45
I tried calling Seth and I started crying when I went straight to voicemail. I'm so sad because I feel like he's trying to tell me that he doesn't love me anymore.

5:50
Dean and Roman won't let me out of their sight unless I'm in the bathroom. I know it's because they're afraid that I'll have another panic attack, but I still feel really safe.'

Seth then knew that he really screwed up. Roman didn't like to hover, so the fact that he was hovering over CJ really meant a huge deal. He didn't have to read any more, he didn't want to. He had hurt her more than his words alone could express, and then he had basically rubbed his unfaithfulness in her face even though she stayed faithful to him despite having the ultimate temptation in Dean Ambrose hovering over her for the past few days.

Seth could only pull at his hair as he sunk to his knees, more than just frustrated with himself. He was furious and sick to his stomach over how shitty of a person he was. After he finally gets her to be his girlfriend, he just had to royally fuck it all up. The initial implosion of The Shield was something that they could have worked together to move into the past, but he cheated on her. That was something that she most likely would never forget.

"I'm such a piece of shit." Seth mumbled, looking down at Kevin as the Yorkie climbed into his lap. "I know you miss mommy, she won't be home for a couple days though. I'll make it right, buddy. I promise."

After finally waking up at around three thirty, CJ was hungry. Not that Dean was surprised, since they had quite the workout before she slept for about eight hours. He was glad that she was eating when she felt the need to, but minding her weight at the same time. She had given him some speech about moderation that she had admitted to ripping off some online article about pregnancy while they were waiting for room service to come with their food. Although not all that interested, Dean listened and applauded her for doing her research.

"Ambrose?"

"Yes, Copeland?" Dean asked, looking to see her biting her lip. He had to admit that she looked adorable yet sexy wearing nothing but his tshirt and her blonde hair a mess.

"What did you order for lunch?"

"You wanted fried macaroni from that diner down the street so I called and ordered that for delivery using some phone app Roman likes, and then we both got club sandwiches." He listed, shamelessly taking a picture of her while looking distracted doing something else. A text popped up on his phone and he opened it to see that something at his apartment required his attention over the weekend. "Shit."

"Is the food not coming?" CJ asked with a concerned frown settling on her once neutral features. Dean looked up from his phone, setting it aside so she knew that she had his full attention.

"The food is on its way. Something happened at my apartment and I need to fly home tonight to take care of it."

"Oh." CJ spoke, pouting slightly. She didn't want him to leave her just yet, but she couldn't keep him away from his home. "Is it bad?"

"Scale of one to ten, it's about an eight. Just some bugs in the complex and I have to sign off on some exterminator shit tomorrow morning."

"Definitely something that needs your attention. When are you heading out?"

"I'm about to book my flight." Dean mumbled, grabbing his phone and moving to lay his head in her lap. "I don't want to leave you, 'Stina."

"I'm going to be fine. Seth is leaving tomorrow morning so I'll be fine. I'll text you and give you updates, okay?"

"Alright. Flight is at nine." He stated as a knock sounded on the door. CJ quickly left the bed and headed for the door and, although Dean didn't like anybody else getting such a view, he admired watching her move wearing only his shirt. Due to being slightly stretched out, the garment exposed her left shoulder and he could tell that it was bothering her as she maneuvered money and whatever container was being handed to her. Watching her be all independent was cute, and the smile on her face when she was finally settled on the bed was one of true gratification.

"I've been waiting so long for you, babe." CJ spoke, rubbing the top of the styrofoam container and Dean swore that he saw tears brimming in her eyes. But he wouldn't comment, since he didn't want to upset her.

"It's only been fifteen minutes."

"Hush, you. Fried macaroni bites are almost better than sex. Almost. A reeeaaalllyy close second." For emphasis, the blond held her thumb and forefinger almost a centimeter apart while her other hand opened the container.

"That close, huh?"

"Yeah. They'd be tied if you people weren't so good in bed." He knew that when she said "you people" she meant him and Seth, and he had to mentally applaud her for not trying to make it seem like she was comparing him to the idiot cancer of The Shield.

That's a good one. I should use that on Monday. Dean thought to himself, smirking as he opened his notes and typed in "cancer of the shield" to add to his list of insults to use on Seth whenever the WWE put a microphone in his hand.

"Dean, I need to request something of you." CJ stated before taking a bite out of the little brown triangle. He could see the nervousness in her eyes and didn't like it. She had nothing to be nervous about since he'd give her the world if she asked for it.

"Whatever you want, darlin'. You don't even have to ask." He spoke softly, taking her free hand in his while she nodded.

"I know things are going to be tough for you, with Seth being a major dick and all, but I can tell that you're going to be hanging around." She started, and Dean gave her hand a gentle squeeze. "But I need you to keep all that shit on the road and away from me. I can't have you and Seth fighting in front of me because I love you both and it's going to stress me out."

"The only promise I can make to you is that if he doesn't start some shit, I won't have to finish it." She only nodded, finishing her macaroni bite before going in for a second. He picked one up, investigated it for a moment before putting the whole thing in his mouth. She looked at him with a smile, seeing that he was still holding her hand.

Such a cute man. My scruffy man. She thought to herself, leaning over and kissing his cheek where hair was growing in. She knew he'd shave over the weekend, but that didn't stop her from wanting to see him scruffy. Having the facial hair made so many experiences different, and it felt great against her skin when his mouth was exploring her body hours prior to this moment.

"What's on your mind?"

"How much I love it when you're scruffy. But I also love clean-shaven Ambrose." She murmured against his cheek, loving when he smiled. "My scruffy man."

"Nobody else's."

"Nope." She agreed, letting out a small squeal when Dean pushed her knot her back and hovered over her. The laid nose to nose, her eyes searching his for some reason he had for doing this, lips inches apart. She opened her mouth to ask why, but got her answer in the form of Dean Ambrose pressing his face into her neck, dragging his tongue across her skin before gently biting down.

"Mine." Was all he mumbled and she nodded in agreement, knowing that her body would be his for quite some time. "My queen. My angel. My Christina."

As primitive as the notion would have seemed to outsiders, or even Seth, CJ knew that this was Dean's way of trying to get her to stay with him. She thought it was cute since Dean wasn't a big "feelings" guy so he found a way to be without giving up too much. She actually loved that about him, since she never knew what she was feeling. It all worked out.

I know that Seth is a bad guy and all, but god damn that man looks so good in a suit.
