Wakka sits in the Besaid Aurochs Locker room with his team to play the last game of the Championship. They are facing the Luca Goers. He has to play this last game because of his comrade and teammate is gone.
"I can't believe he's gone," He thought to himself. "It's just like… having my brother taken away from me by Sin again."
He looked at his team, who was worrying about their losing their championship. He could hear them talking among themselves.
What are we going to do? He was our star player. I'm going to miss him. We're doom! It was fun while it last. It was fun being champion for once.
Wakka went back to his thoughts and memories of his friend. "I can't believe he's left that way. I wonder how Yuna feeing. I bet she's taking it the worst." Then he remembers Tidus asking him what our goal is?
Tidus "So, what's our goal?"
Wakka "I don't care how we do. Long as we play our best."
"If we give it our all, I can walk away happy."
Tidus "No, no, no, no, no. If I say "What's our goal?" you say "Victory!""
"When you play in a blitzball tournament, you play to win!"
Wakka "Victory? You serious?"
Wakka laugh but it something to remember Tidus. It just something to remember him by… Wakka got up and walk towards his team.
"Aright guys, it's showtime. It time for Victory!"
"What do you mean Wakka?" asked Keepa, the goalie.
"We lost our star player, how possibly win now?" Asked Botta.
"We will win, and if you start thinking that way, then we truly forgotten him." Wakka replied. The team looked around wondering what he means by that.
"Look, team," Wakka started again. "Tidus die to save Yuna and Spria from Sin. And while he was here, he taught us the word 'Victory' and what it really means. To win every match, defeat every opposing team!"
The team nodded.
"This time, this tournament, it for the memory of him and all the fallen who fight against Sin. We're doing for them."
The team nods and getting pump up.
"So what's our goal?" Wakka asked them
"VICTORY!" they shouted
"WHAT OUR GOAL?" he asked again
"VICTORY!" they shouted again
"Ya, now let's do it, for them." And lead his team to the water battlefield. Facing him was the Luca Goers and there leader, Bickson. He hates the sight of him. But then he looks back at the entrance of their locker room and saw ghost memories of Chappu and behind him, Tidus.
"This is for you, guys." Wakka said to himself and head out.
