"Dean, I have to get ready to go." CJ murmured, trying to push him off her neck. He was being persistent and, as badly as she wanted one more round, she really needed to get ready to go.
"No, you want to. You don't have to leave for another two hours."
"I said that an hour ago, Ambrose." She reminded, which prompted Dean to look up from her neck to the clock on the wall. He gave a grunt of acknowledgement, then went back to licking at her neck. "Dean, I-"
"Your mouth is saying 'no', but your body is telling me a different story." He mumbled against her skin as his finger dipped into her entrance. "All wet and just for me."
"I'm all yours, but I really need to go take a shower."
"Let's go, then."
"Alone, Ambrose. I'm already going to see Seth wearing one of your shirts, the last things he needs right now are more visual reminders that you've been a better man to me."
"No marks, I promise. I just want to maximize my time with you." He murmured, nuzzling his face into her neck as his fingers danced up her thighs to the hem of the shirt she was wearing. He heard her mewl in uncertainty and began peppering the skin accessible to him in light kisses. "I'll be good, your highness."
"Promise?"
"I promise." He whispered, pulling back from her long enough to pull his shirt over her head and then reconnecting to her. "I really don't want you to be around him."
"I don't think I'm ready to be around him. But whatever, right?"
"It's not 'whatever' to me, honeybee. I want you to be happy, sweetheart."
"I'm happy with you, Dean." CJ mumbled, pulling Dean to the bathroom.
"Come to Minneapolis with me, baby. Be with me for another night or two." Dean requested as he lifted her into the tub and she sighed. "I know Ro would be happy to see you."
"I'll think about it, okay? When do you leave?" She asked as he started the water.
"My flight is at five thirty. I know Seth leaves in the afternoon so we can stop by the house,-" he pecked her lips gently. "-grab some of your shit,-" he pressed his lips to her cheek as the water began to run down his back. "-fuck like bunnies in that fancy bed of yours,-" he kissed just beneath her ear before dragging his tongue up along the shell of her ear. "-and then get the fuck out of here for a while." The was just something so addicting about his voice whispering what felt like promises to her in her ear, it made her knees weak with want. "Mmm, baby, you want to travel with me."
"I want a lot of things with you, Ambrose. But I do need to shower, honey badger."
"I'll wash you, babe." Dean whispered in her ear, turning them so that she was under the water. "Nice and tender like you deserve."
"Yes please."
"Please, actually think about coming with me." Dean whispered in her ear before turning her around and grabbing her body wash. She leaned against him while he created a lather with his hands and he smirked when she let out a soft sigh of approval when his hands made gentle contact with her sides. "Don't say you'll think about it just to get me off your case, Christina."
"I'm thinking about it was we speak." She mumbled, fighting the urge to moan when his hands started massaging her chest.
"Thank you."
CJ was five minutes late getting to the house, and she wasn't at all surprised to see Seth come out wearing a suit and holding a single flower when she honked the horn. As great as he looked, CJ was hoping for a semblance of the Seth Rollins she fell in love with; band shirts, tight jeans, and that goofy smile on his face whenever he saw her. Now he just looked all serious and she was reminded of the fact that he sold out his best friends.
"Are you sure you don't want me to-"
"Just buckle up, Seth." CJ sighed, putting the car on drive before he even had the chance to buckle his seatbelt. "How'd you spend your weekend?"
"Thinking of you. I had drunk sex with my ex, though." Seth admitted, not sure if he should be guilty or not. It was meaningless in his opinion, he just needed to get his dick wet.
"Oh?"
"Are you mad?"
"How could I be? We are on a break and I spent my weekend with Ambrose so it's no big deal." CJ assured, but that didn't ease Seth's nerves. He took to slowly turning the flower over in his hands in an attempt to ease his nerves and she tried her best to ignore the slowly spinning yellow object in her peripheral vision.
"Dean is here?"
"Was. He left in the morning." CJ lied, shrugging as she stopped at a red light before gently prying the tulip from his hands. "You're driving me nuts, Seth."
"Sorry. Where are we going?"
"To see my therapist." She answered simply, setting the flower in her lap as the light turned green.
"You see a therapist?"
"I needed to. I felt depressed and I you were on tour so I went to somebody who I knew would be able to figure out what was wrong with me." She explained, her grip on the steering wheel tightening as she tried her best to keep her breathing even.
"So why am I going?"
"Because we both need to hear what she has to say about our relationship. I know there are things that we're not telling each other, and I need an unbiased third party to mediate."
"Alright. If you think it'll help our relationship, then I'm game."
You weren't really getting a choice. She thought to herself as she turned into the parking lot of the business park where Dr. Thompson's office was located. Seth watched as she skillfully navigated the parking lot and couldn't help but reach for her hand after they exited the car. She hesitated, but allowed him to take her hand as they crossed the parking lot and entered the building.
"Elevator." CJ prompted when Seth started to go into the reception area and he nodded, letting her lead the way to the elevator and he stood quietly beside her on the ride up. He didn't know what to say to her, and it was more than obvious that a lot of serious emotions were being held back on her end. He just didn't understand why she hadn't just let him have it yet. He was certain that he deserved everything that she could possibly throw at him physically and verbally. "Go sit down while I check in, please."
Seth hesitantly complied with her requested, feeling a bit awkward and overdressed as he sat down next to a man holding a small chihuahua.
"How ya doin?" Seth asked as his leg started to bounce and the man sitting beside him started looking between his face and his leg.
"I'm fine. Can you bounce your leg four more times and then stop, please?"
"Uh...sure, I-I guess." Seth mumbled, slowly bouncing his leg four times before crossing his legs.
"Sorry. I just have this thing about prime numbers."
"Hi Harold." CJ greeted with a warm smile as she crossed the room, kneeling in front of the man Seth assumed was Harold as the chihuahua eagerly moved forward to greet CJ as well. "Hello to you, too, Colleen."
"Miss Copeland." Irene called from the door and CJ looked up at the clock to see that it was eleven on the nose.
"Come on, Seth."
"So you have crazy friends here?" Seth whispered in her ear as they walked down the hall and she quickly backhanded his chest. "Ow!"
"Don't be rude. Just because they have issues that they're here to work on doesn't make them crazy. Harold is just OCD about prime numbers. That's it."
"Shit, sorry."
"I'm already regretting bringing you along." She sighed as they followed Irene into the office and for the first time ever, CJ flopped onto the chaise lounge chair to begin the session.
"More couple's therapy, Miss Copeland?" Irene asked as Seth sat down beside her and CJ nodded.
"Somebody cheated and I was curious as to your opinion on rebuilding trust." CJ stated, letting Seth hold her hand solely because she was certain that he was nervous.
"Is this knowledge what sent you into a panic attack?"
"Did everyone know about this fucking panic attack except for me?" Seth asked, noticing the way both Irene and CJ looked over at him.
"Maybe if you had your phone on you would've known. But that's rift, you didn't want to deal with the consequences of your actions and instead cheated on your girlfriend." CJ snapped, letting go of Seth's hand and scooting away from him. He couldn't help but sigh, dropping his head and holding it in his hands.
"What steps have you two taken towards reconciliation?" Irene asked and CJ shrugged.
"I told him that I needed space from him and not to contact me until today, but he couldn't even do that."
"I thought flowers would soften you up!"
"They only pissed me off!"
"Calm down, both of you." Irene stated, looking between the two. "Seth, why did you cheat?"
"I was drunk, desperate to fit in with this crowd, I missed her, and I was horny." Seth listed and CJ rolled her eyes.
"Take me out of that, because if you missed me you would have called me."
"She has a point, but I'm not here to take sides."
"Feels like you are." Seth mumbled and Irene sighed, a note of CJ's aggravation.
"How badly do you want to be with her?"
"Very badly. I love her,"
"You love her?"
"I do. She's my world."
"And the child?"
"I love them, too."
"How come you haven't told your mother about me being pregnant?" CJ asked, slowly standing and walking over to the window. She couldn't be near Seth anymore.
"Because she hates you and I don't want to make her mad."
"If you loved her and that child, that shouldn't be an issue. I can understand that your family means a lot to you, but you can't tell her you love her and keep such an important part of your relationship hidden." Irene stated, making note of CJ distancing herself from Seth. She felt that CJ had already moved on from her boyfriend, and was only doing this for his sake more than hers.
"I do love her though. I love her, and the child we made together, and I really want to fix things between us."
"You can't have a relationship without trust and trust isn't something easily fixed, Seth." Irene commented, her gaze shifting from Seth to CJ and then back to Seth as he spoke.
"I'll do whatever. I'm so willing to do whatever you want me to do to prove to you that I want to be with you."
"I shouldn't have to tell you, Seth. You should know already." CJ stated, keeping her gaze firmly locked on the window.
"Maybe instead of time apart, you need to spend some time together. I'm not talking about sex, either. When is the last time you two sat down and just talked?"
"It's been a while." CJ mumbled, leaning against the window with a contemplative frown on her face.
"Go out to dinner and talk."
"I leave today." Seth argued and CJ nodded.
"Somebody has to watch the dogs."
"Take her with you, and have your mother watch the dogs, Seth." Irene reasoned, and Seth looked to CJ. She gave a hesitant nod and he smiled, nodding back at her. "Good. Now, Miss Copeland, how are things between you and Dean?"
"Better. Much, much better. He was with me over the weekend."
"Are things between you and Dean tense, Seth?" Irene asked and Seth sighed.
"You obviously don't watch the shows." He mumbled and CJ nodded.
"Tense would be an understatement."
When CJ slipped back into her hotel room, she couldn't help but smile at the sight of Dean asleep in bed and cuddling a pillow. She assumed that was the pillow she was sleeping on the night before and that's why his nose was buried into it, but she still took a picture as she shrugged out of her jean jacket and tossed it onto the floor. Her shoes were next to go and she gently slipped into the bed and tried prying the pillow from him.
"No." Dean grumbled, holding the pillow tighter until CJ kissed his forehead.
"Ambrose, wanna switch for the real thing?"
"You're back earlier than I expected." He mumbled, pushing the pillow away as he rolled onto his back. She took this as an invitation to lay on him and did so, smiling when he locked his arms around her waist.
"Am I early, or did you fall asleep and lose track of time?"
"Maybe a little bit of both. How'd therapy with Seth go?"
"Fine. I'm on the five thirty flight to Minneapolis, his is still at three, but we have to go to dinner and talk and work on our relationship."
"Gross."
"I know. He's just not the same guy anymore, and I wish I understood how he changed so quickly." She whispered, burying her face into his neck as tears burned in her eyes.
"Maybe it was all a well planned charade from the start. But no more crying, Christina. I'm here and I'm always going to be real with you." He assured, rubbing her back underneath her shirt. "I love you, Copeland."
"I love you, too, Ambrose."
Dean was looking oh so fine last night in his wifebeater and jeans. Just...yummy. And Roman qualifying for the ladder match...yay! Last night was a night of major fangirling for me, oh my gosh. I promise that the next chapter will be longer to make up for all these short ones.
