TDZ Chapter 1

The sounds of muffled voices could be heard between camera crew members as the current set is having its final preparations. "Guys, the producers are on my ass. We need to get the camera rolling right now" said a rather frustrated Chris McLean as he paced back and forth in front of the set of the island.

One curious intern poked her head up "Sir what about that rock though? Shouldn't we do somet-"

"This is the finale intern. I don't care what you guys do as long as we can get this thing rolling." Chris interrupts looking more and more displeased with his current situation. The intern nodded her head and ran off to check on this 'rock'.

As the intern shuffled away the muffled voices started to get quieter until complete silence, all that could be heard is each footstep as she dashed towards the back of the island.

Curious of her surroundings, the intern looked around and saw a couple of the campers talking amongst themselves as they sat by a rustic bench. She recognised one as that goth Gwen while another is that musician Trent. As she walked past she overheard a conversation between them.

"Man, Chris is quite late today, did he forget there's a final?" Trent said and smiled a little as he relaxed on the armrest of the bench.

"Maybe he croaked," Gwen stated as a smirk developed on her face. "Would be a great end to the season."

"Yea it woul- hm?" He blinked and looked at the dashing intern go past them. "That's odd. I wonder if something actually did happen." He adjusted himself a bit before he stood up and looked at Gwen "Up for a bit of an adventure?" He smiled.

She gave a perplexed but amused look "You're starting to sound like that wizard guy, sounds like you spent way too long with him during this season"

"Hey, it was either him or Duncan, I took my chances" He interjected with a light smile on his face "He's not bad if you get to know him anyway" He looked ahead of where the intern was and then glanced back at Gwen "We should get going though."

Gwen nodded and stood up, the two of them then started to follow the intern's trail.

The intern started to get exhausted as she ran up a nearby hill, she felt a weird sensation as she got closer to her destination.

As she got to the top she looked ahead and saw a glowing light in the distance. The light can be seen between a couple of trees in a small hole. As she noticed her eyes widened and she started to move to the light.

Trent and Gwen trailed behind having a conversation as they followed.

"I don't really recall even coming up this way during our time on this island," Trent said as he kept a raised eyebrow.

"Well, you did say you wanted an adventure," Gwen responded as she smirked and continued to trek up the hill.

After a few minutes, they got to the top and looked around.

"Wow, the view is actually not bad up here," She remarked pleasantly surprised as she looked ahead.

"Yeah, it is.." He said as he gazed at her with a shine in his eyes.

"Erm, what's going on down there?" She spoke out as she pointed at the intern in the distance as the intern walked towards that bright light.

"Wha... what is that bright thing?" Trent asked frowning as he looked confused and a little nervous.

"Probably one of Chris' great ideas" She replied sarcastically with an unamused look.

Meanwhile, with the intern, she could see the light just a few meters away from her now. She looked at it curiously but couldn't get a good glimpse at the shape or even the colour behind the light. She could feel the device itself pulling her towards it like it was calling for her.

"Oh so you see it too huh?" a rather bored-looking Indian man said as he was seen sitting by a tree a few meters away with his signature book in hand. The trees mostly kept himself hidden from any onlookers.

The intern jumped in surprise and looked at the man "Wait you're Noah right?" she blurted out as her legs were moving still towards that light.

"Indeed that is me. I was hoping no one would find my reading spot. I'm guessing that light is Chris' doing? I pretty much use it as ambience" Noah replied expecting the intern to go full fangirl on him. He just looked at her with a bit of a frown.

She continued walking towards the device "it feels like my legs won't stop moving!" she shouted looking rather worried as she paced on.

Noah simply looked at her as she walked "So this is one of Chris' weird challenges huh? I'm not in the competition you know. You can quit the ac-"

"I'm not acting! My body feels like it's moving on its own!" she interrupted looking increasingly concerned.

The questioning duo looked on at the intern who was hesitating on her next action. "What do you think she's going to do?" She asked while she squinted her eyes as she looked directly at the light.

"I have no idea," Trent spoke quietly before his eyes widened "she's... she's...about to touch it!" he exclaimed as they saw the intern crouching down to grab the device.

Noah continued to look at the intern with a raised eyebrow and light sweat on his brow "this is getting rather weird now honestly. You can stop now." He blinked.

In the intern's view, she could see the light glowing brighter and brighter. The feeling of needing to touch it got stronger and stronger. As her hand got closer and closer there was a sensation of light burning on her fingertips, despite this however she kept getting closer until she touched it.

Suddenly the white light engulfed the intern and shards of light started to come from her body.

Noah stood up in surprise as the light engulfed the area with him in. The onlooking duo gasped in surprise as their view started to get brighter.

"T-Trent!" Gwen suddenly grabbed onto him as their view turned into pure white, all that could be felt is both peace and emptiness. Their bodies felt energy flowing through them. This energy kept building up more and more until suddenly complete darkness.

Time passed, the darkness slipped into unconsciousness. As the world continued around them eventually a light breeze could be felt.

...

Noah opened his eyes and groaned a little as he adjusted his body. All he could see is the clear blue sky above him with birds flying around. He got up and looked around, he definitely swore that he was next to a tree last time he was awake but now he was next to a cliff face right next to a forest.

He looked up at the cliff face to see if there were any openings up to see if he could see his surroundings. He thought to himself 'definitely no way up there, just where am I exactly'.

He cupped his hands and started to shout "Hey is anyone there!" his words were answered with silence. He shivered a little and glanced at the forest in front of him. He thought for a moment and then simply sighed and wandered into the nearby forest.

'Well, looks like I've got an exhausting trek back to civilisation. Thanks, Chris.'
