Chapter 435.
"A Brand New Year."
(December 31. Lynn's Table.)
Current time: 7:45 pm.
The whole restaurant is looking quite nice and we have a lot of good friends and families there all to enjoy the night that is to come.
From their friends from the Grade School, Middle School, High School and work friends, and heck even some troops from the Royal Woods Allied Outpost are there to enjoy this moment that the night will bring. The only guy not there, is Peter Harris, he's at the park with some troops ready to light it up!
Now, back to the restaurant: Lynn Sr comes out of the kitchen with Jesse Rosato and some of her friends at cooking class and they all place down more food for everyone else to enjoy.
A lot of folks are happy with this night to spend here, to be with their closest friends and loved ones here in Royal Woods.
Rita and Michelle talk to each other about this night. "So, you're first New Year's eve with us. Feeling nervous?" asked Rita.
Michelle smirks. "Nervous? Please! I am not nervous at all, I mean this is the year I am going to spend so much time to recall how far I have come from being given redemption for… For the past I did and how much pressure I put onto everyone."
"The one thing I am gonna be looking forward to next year, is how much more I can show to everyone that I am still and never will be the same Michelle Lewis from the past, and I know that my parents would be dang proud of me and what I have become."
Rita smiles. "Glad to see some kind-hearted and fiery spirit from you Michelle. We're all gonna go through so much with next month, er year and I look forward to spending each and every moment of it with everyone."
"Though, I do feel bad about what had happened weeks ago with Leni, and Lynn and I still need to try and make it up to the others after the fact we haven't been good with their medical treatments."
Michelle places a hand on her shoulder. "Rita, I know you and your husband can figure it out. It'll take some time, but I know both of you can make it up to them. They don't hate you, but they are waiting for that very good moment, where you both can show how sorry you two have been."
"Heck, I know deep down they understand the reason why you two didn't have time, and there are tons of ways to get them to show trust back. Be lucky Lily is able to stay out of harm for such a long time." They then see Lily with Jillian and her son Lucas and playing with each other.
Rita smiles. "Yeah, I guess you're right. Also, I'm not sure if Lily will even stay awake for tonight. I mean, sure she is a toddler now, but she might not even have the ability to last longer even past 10."
"Then be glad there are cushions on the seats for her and Lucas to sleep on and that we have some Noise-B-Gone ear buds for them to use" said Michelle. She then checks her phone. "It's Peter, I need to take this." She then goes elsewhere to talk to the man.
Rita then watches as all of her kids, her family is enjoying their time together. Then she recalls the worlds that hero Linc and the others went to, the one where Lincoln and Luna have become mother and son, and are seeing if the rest of the former louds can be redeemed.
'I'm so glad that we haven't been through that.' She then sees her dad and she goes over to talk to him.
Lori is with her friends, well friends from college and all enjoy some nice talk to each other. "So, what are we planning for next year girls?"
Carol thinks. "Well, we still have a lot of semesters to deal with in Fairway and we get a three month off from the place when the Summer hits, but we are gonna be competing in the golf tournaments that have."
"No shadow of a doubt, we are gonna be acing the hole in ones all day when it comes" replied Becky. "We need to try our hardest and best to practice, but it might be a good run for us with the ghost caddie acting as support."
Lori chuckles. "No kidding, and I also did plan on what I'm gonna do when college is done. I mean, we're gonna be finishing one year and then we got two more to go."
Carol smirks. "Not for me girls, I took a four year course so when next year comes, I got three more years' to go through and that's fine by me."
"Then I guess we'll be seeing you sooner than later when the time comes for all of us to take leave from Fairway" said Whitney. "We really are growing out of the rots of our teenage life, and going ahead to a new one."
Becky chuckles. "Darn right, so Lori, what is this plan you have when college is done? Does it have something to do with, Bobby Santiago?"
Lori decides to tell them, and she makes sure the others in her family aren't eavesdropping.
The only person from their college who isn't there, is Jessica Carson. She's back at Tuscola and celebrating with her parents and little sister with some family friends, a New Year's without the rest of the Carson brothers. Yeah!
Leni is chatting with her friends Jackie and Mandee and work friends, Fiona and Miguel.
"So, when January 3 hits, we have to make it fast to setup everything for the big New Year's Sales. Thank goodness the mayor moved it to Sunday" said Miguel.
"She made the right choice, because I cannot be able to handle doing it on a Saturday" said Fiona. "We got too much to rest up on, and when the time does come, then we go all out and make the sale worth it!"
"No kidding" said Mandee. "We got a ton of shopping to do, the big Prom will be coming on February and we need something to wear."
"Totes, I mean what would look good for me though?" asked Jackie. "And I am looking forward to any of the guys who might wanna ask me out. What about you Leni?"
They see Leni wasn't listening, she's looking at the photo of herself and her family. "Umm, Leni?" asked Fiona.
Leni snaps out of it. "Huh, what? Sorry guys, just busy with… Something else on my mind."
They all know why. "Does this have something to do with the college you're looking for?" asked Miguel.
Leni nods. "We're seniors, and soon we'll be graduating girls. We won't be in High School and soon, I need to take my step up to college and I know which one I pick."
Jackie and Mandee know, heck they both got their sights on the Community College in town. "Did you tell the others about what you picked?" asked Mandee.
"Not yet, but I will soon, just not now and now till I feel like it. But it's a good college and it would make them all proud at how much I've grown up from the former ditzy teen I once was" replied Leni.
They were all happy at how far Leni has come, to turn to someone else different, and how much of a smart kind of gal she has been, but deep down Leni thinks to herself.
'When it's time for Summer Vacation, I will treasure every moment I have with all of my siblings. Just like what Lori did last summer.'
Luan and Lucy are talking to their friends, Maggie, Benny and Haiku. "So, we all got something big planned for next month huh?" asked Benny.
"Yup! You and me, along with Giggles are gonna be the next big top trio of comedy soon and we're gonna be making a ton of jokes and laughs to show everyone that the comedy and laughs aren't gonna die out!" said Luan. "And maybe add Zach into the mix, who knows. They seem ready to step it up with us."
Benny chuckles. "I am so stoked for it, and it seems like those two seem happy with the night has for us too." they all spot Mr. coconuts and Ms. Appleblossom sitting next to each other by one of the seats and they are leaning onto each other and this makes Luan and Benny smile.
But Lucy, Haiku and Maggie are confused. "Well, we're just looking forward to another good year for the Goths and Emo's of the Elementary school, middle school and high school" said Lucy.
"All three of us, still leading the three Morticians Clubs in the education division and hoping for more to join us, and be one in darkness and eternity" said Haiku.
"Yeah, I have to do my part and make sure that this prom that I gotta be part of is not in my forte. But I will accept the choice of those who wanna be part of it" said Maggie. "It is they're right after all, also Lucy. When the school does begin after summer, you are gonna start the 5th grade right?"
"Sigh, yes I am. Going to be a step closer to how Lincoln was in his time, this is a big change for me and I still do my best to keep track of the Young Morticians Club, and my little sisters, just like how Lincoln would do it when he had to juggle all of us" said Lucy.
"Well then, looks like we're all gonna ne juggling a lot next year!" chuckled Luan.
"And let's hope we don't miss a pin too!" chuckled Benny, and they both share a laugh.
Lucy, Haiku and Maggie just sigh at their jokes and puns that don't seem amusing.
Lynn Jr and her friends are done watching the game. "Well that was a good game, so what do you gals wanna do now? The time is still good and we got more time before the countdown to touchdown begins!"
Margo is confused. "Touch down?"
Lynn realizes this. "Oh right, sorry. I mean the countdown to the big New Year' night baby!"
Margo and the others chuckle at this. "You have got to take it a step back LJ, we know that you got tons of sports to do for next year, but there's a lot more other things too" said Lainey.
"Yeah, don't let the sports get to ya. You have a lot to go through as we all go through High School" said Paula.
Lynn smirks. "Yeah, you gals are right. Still, what the heck do we do now?"
They all think of what to do, but then Principal Ramirez goes to them and places down a plate of her favorite spicy jalapenos. "How about we see who can take the heat, huh girls?"
Seeing this makes them smile. "Oh, heck yeah!" They all begin to eat the spicy food, to see who can last the longest! Soon, a lot of others go over and cheer them on to keep going! Even Polly joins in this spicy eating challenge, and Scoots?
The twins, Lola and Lana are both going through some note they made, alongside Meli Ramos. "Okay, so we know what to do right Lana?" asked Lola.
Lana nods. "Since we mostly or sometimes have to see who gets to pick what for the theme to our birthday and glad we're doing it together this time. We can safely make the birthday that we want into something more, and it is gonna be awesome!"
They both cheer and high five each other, they then go back to their notes on what they plan for their birthday coming on January 3.
Meli smiles seeing this. "I can't wait to see you two finally turn 8, this is gonna be nice with the both of you just working along until January 3 hits."
"Thanks Meli, we're changed now and we don't wanna end up in more arguments when the next month begins" said Lola.
"We may squabble sometimes, but it doesn't mean we're gonna be arguing our heads off all the time" said Lana. "We all need to change, and we can start next month."
Yeah, I know some of us will see more of them arguing. They're twins with opposite agendas, this seems normal. (Because the episodes that go on could have scenes of them arguing at some point.)
Lisa and Darcy are both enjoying some of the company from Rockruff, Yamper, Stunky, Trubbish and Metapod. "So, when is she gonna turn into a beautiful Butterfly?" asked Darcy.
"The chances of that of Metapod becoming Butterfree will be on the spring season, coming after February of somewhere on the late weeks of February. It seems more normal" said Lisa. "Or, she might be able to evolve early through evolution from battle, but we hardly have any new threats for her to face."
Darcy then rubs the belly of Yamper. "Well, I hope she does become a Butterfree soon, she might be beautiful."
Lisa smirks. "Do not fear Darcy, if that should happen then I shall inform you and you and I can witness a third staged evolution, together."
Darcy smiles and hugs Lisa. "Yay! Lisa smiles and she hugs her best friend too, and then the rest of the Pokémon join in. Metapod tries to go to them, but ends up falling onto her side.
Lincoln and Jordan are with their pals and gals and with them are the eagles and all of them begin to talk about what they all wanna do for next year, er, next month. Let it be involving school, or whatever fun they got planned when it becomes summer vacation.
Though, the girls are more interested in the soon to be coming, Middle School Prom, which makes the guys look forward to as well.
Lincoln and Jordan then realize something. 'March, is when the big bald eagle contest is gonna start, we need to begin to train up the Harrier, Freya and Artemis, they are the next generation and we know they'll do well when the games begin.'
They then continue to talk to each other, and also congratulate Ryan, Gretchen, Delilah and Hope on their first New Year's Eve in Royal Woods and with each other.
Luna and Sam, along with Sully and Mazzy are on the roof of the restaurant and looking to the starry night. "Sure is gonna be dang awesome for us as next year comes right dudes?" asked Mazzy.
"Darn right, but not just that. When the school year begins after summer, we'll be music club senior's baby!" said Sully.
Sam smiles and was happy to see their friends in this kind of spirit. She then looks to her girlfriend, Luna. "Lunes, you doing okay?"
Luna smiles at Sam. "Darn right I am, I got a lot to look forward to for next year. Let it be the music life I love, my family or more better yet, my role to keeping safe the two preteens who I knew once as the best kid couple I have ever met."
Sam scooches closer and kisses Luna's cheek. "You're not doing this alone Lunes, even though I feel like keeping Simon and Stella together and safe is a thing for me to do, I also have the feeling to help keep the whole Jordacoln ship in motion."
Sully then asks. "We're calling them Jordacoln?"
Mazzy looks to her boyfriend. "Dude, where the heck were you when that happened?" They all laugh at this. They all have something to look forward too, for next month and year.
(Hours Later.)
Time: 11:55 pm.
The time is closing in fast, and everyone is looking forward to it now. All of the folks are outside and the roads have been cleared and no one is driving, which is nice. But that doesn't mean that there aren't; any aircraft in the skies ready to show what they got for everyone.
All the folks are now looking outside and they see the countdown is gonna commence soon. On the roof top is now Luna, Sam, Jordan and Lincoln and they look to the sky and recall all they have been through, during 2020.
Lincoln then speaks. "You know, so much has gone by and we have been through so many odds together." They all nod and agree on that.
"I mean, we faced a ton of bad guys and old enemies we never thought would come back, we went through some serious near death experiences, we had wicked awesome and not so awesome summer moments, had some terrific birthdays to spend together and pretty much bonded and now we feel closer as family, friends and loved ones."
"A lot has gone by" said Jordan. "Ever since we met on that faithful day in the park, and so much crazy adventures has happened and we managed to go through it all." They all look to the crowd in front of the restaurant who are all talking to each other and waiting for the countdown to begin.
They see all of their friends, and family and even those who have changed through the situations.
"We sure made some wicked awesome 2020 memories guys" said Sam. "And I can't wait to make more, but for the 2021's!"
Luna smiles hearing this. "Yeah, and even though some of those memories might have trouble, we can pull through." Luna then brings Lincoln and Jordan close to her. "Together, as a family."
They all smile hearing this and enjoy this moment together. Then Lincoln recalls. "But let's not forget one thing that is happening this night…" He then looks to the others. "We're not gonna have to deal with Leslie Silver anymore!"
The folks also heard this and all cheer, they all cheer that the rich mean girl is gonna be out of their lives. Heck, even Gretchen and Hope are happy too. Now they don't have to be caught in the manipulating and blackmailing ways of Leslie Silver!
Just then, they hear a countdown from Michelle and they all join in.
"10! 9! 8! 7! 6! 5! 4! 3! 2! 1!" then they all chant out. "Happy New Year!"
The fireworks from the park are launched and they light up the sky, and everyone cheers and claps at this spectacular moment of a night.
The New Year has come! And the threat to their town, is leaving!
Lincoln then whispers to the others with him on the roof. "Happy New Year guys."
They look towards Lincoln and smile. "Happy New Year Lincoln." Lincoln and Jordan then share a small passionate kiss and so does Luna and Sam.
This truly is a night to celebrate.
(Somewhere in the Rich district.)
By the rich area, a ton of moving trucks have arrived and all of them are loaded with everything the mansions have owned and are ready to drive off. They continue to haul so much valuable and big rich stuff, and a girl is watching them all haul it into the trucks while she sees the trash can filled with the Lincoln related things.
Leslie watches as everything she has been trying to work on to taking over this town, are coming to an end, and what's worse. She can't see her friends anymore!
Chastity is going to be with her parents in Cheboygan City, Cheboygan.
Karen is gonna be going to Davidson City, Marquette.
Regina will be living in Cassopolis, Berrien with her parents.
Leslie Silver, will be going to Caro City, Tuscola and not the original town where she came from and this time, she's going to a private school for mean and spoiled girls. The same goes for the others, though some of them are gonna be going to regular public schools, to help them make a change with some common friends to learn from.
Leslie watches as her friends are now in their limos and looking to Leslie with tears, they then drive off with the moving trucks following and a major Allied escort to make sure they leave.
Leslie then sees her parents by the limo. "Leslie, time to go" said Dorothy Silver.
Leslie sighs and she walks to the limo. She then goes in first and then her parents and they begin to talk to each other about how they can try and get some special lessons to change Leslie.
Leslie didn't like this, she then looks out the window and she sees the lights go off in the night sky, and even in the limo she could hear everyone cheering. She wants to check on the news on social media, but her parents took away her phone, which means she can't do anything or even call her friends to check on them.
But she swears she can hear some folks chanting that Leslie Silver is gone, and this angers her greatly and she wipes away her tears and then she looks back to the fireworks lighting the sky and she can see the sign that says: You are now Leaving Royal Woods. That sign was also making her mad, but deep down she had some thoughts coming in.
'You think this is the end?! Just you wait, when the time comes, then Leslie Silver will be back! You can count on it!'
The Silver family limo drives out of Royal Woods, and soon out of Saginaw.
This does mark, the end to Leslie Silver's reign in the town of Royal Woods… For now at least.

A/N: The night is as spectacular as the night we all have, and we can say a good by for dang good to the rich girls. The future of this story is gonna be either epic, romantic or more dangers to come, and I can't wait to see what's gonna happen next as this goes on. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
