Chapter 438.
"School is back on."
The snow has passed, though the season of winter remains and only a matter of time before the snow returns.
(Royal Woods Middle School.)
Lincoln and Jordan walk down the halls, and then they see all of their friends talking to each other.
"Hey gang, what's with the chatter?" asked Jordan.
"That!" Lincoln and Jordan see what Polly is pointing at and both are wide eyed seeing this, and then they smile.
"February 14, the Royal Woods Middle School Dance and love will be in the air as this night is gonna get the love and romance that will spark some good memories and awkward ones. So find a date, and let's see who will be crowned the Middle School Prom King and Queen!"
"Oh right! How the heck did we almost forget that one?!" said Lincoln.
"At least we're prepared. We may have lost track of that one, but at least we both know what we're gonna be wearing" said Jordan.
Simon sighs. "This is gonna be the first time we've all had a prom and I doubt the Sadie Hawkins Dance even counts as a prom, does it?"
"Not so sure, the Sadie Hawkins dance that we have all come to know was just a nightly event for the 5th and 6th graders, well separately on a different Friday. This prom, is something big" said Hassan.
"Glad we have dates, it's gonna be one night we're all gonna remember" said Tabby.
"And let's try not to forget the Prom King and Queen" said Kat. "So, technically almost all of us will be sort of against each other."
"Guys, guys calm down" said Jordan. "Let's not have this event be something that makes us go against each other, okay? Let's just he supportive and happy to those who became the prom king and queen, alright?"
Stella smirks. "What are the odds that Linc and Jordan are gonna be Prom king and queen?" This makes them all chuckle, they can all think that might happen.
Lincoln smiles and crosses his arms. "Okay, guys the whole prom king and queen thing does sound cool and all, but Jordan and I got a role and title and we stick to it, and that is the dodge ball king and queen."
Jordan stands next to him, with her arms crossed. "Yeah." they then high five.
They all laugh at this. "Well, we can only pray we'll make it when Thursday comes around" said Ryan.
"Darn right on the one kids." They all see Coach Keck walk by them. "See you all in gym tomorrow."
Rusty sighs. "Well, time to get some first aid kits when that happens guys."
"Calm down, we'll not get you guys in serious pain" said Lincoln. "Let's all take it easy on each other. Let's all be happy that the mean rich club is no longer available."
Hope sighs. "Glad that club is gone, I am so tired of just sitting around and doing nothing but talk about schemes and plans, Leslie didn't even have much to talk about but you."
"It was really, really annoying and also super creepy" said Gretchen. "Glad I'm part of a new club. What about you Hope?"
Hope then thinks about this. "Well, I think I am planning to join the Tech club, that's about it. Nothing else to stress about, but i….. I have a plan to make a new club, but I think that should be for when we go back to school after summer."
This confuses them. "What club are you planning to make, Hope?" asked Kat.
They all hear the bell ring and Hope smirks. "That's a surprise and let's just say Leni is the inspiration." She then walks off to her class, alongside Gretchen.
The others also head to their class, and are confused at what Hope said, but Lincoln can tell what it might be. 'If it's a fashion club, then Leni would be truly honored.'
Then Lincoln gets a text from someone. 'Commander Freezer Burn? What the heck?'
Freezer Burn – Lincoln, heads up. We got some songs that we made yesterday and when we hang out, we're gonna let you and the others hear them, also a new girl is in our school and you wouldn't believe who it is. Hope Pertland! The Hope Pertland in our world has arrived, and she's not rich and mean.
Lincoln is shocked, and Jordan notices this. "You okay over there, handsome?"
Outside the school, the four eagles patrol the place. Harrier, Nora, Artemis and Freya.
(Royal Woods Elementary School.)
Lucy, the twins and Lisa walk down the halls. "Okay, so before we go off our separate ways, do you girls know what to do?" asked Lucy.
Lola. "Don't be mean, rude or overbearing to others, even though they'll be talking about the birthday party we had yesterday. But if Lacey St. Claire gets involved, then we don't do anything to her taunting words."
Lana. "Don't when class is starting, and no gross stuff either, I've been keeping myself from doing that since we came back to school last year Luce, and also no dumpster diving and just eat lunch at the cafeteria."
Lisa. "Refrain from making anything troublesome with whatever I can improvise to occupy myself from the lower level system of the education that I am not feeling tolerated with. I know what to do, and I have my friend Darcy to help keep me in check."
Lucy smiles. "Good, now off you go girls and no trouble." She watches as her three younger siblings walk off and meet up with their friends. Then Rocky goes towards Lucy.
"Wow. Being the big sis sure looks like a swell job for you, Luce."
Lucy and Rock walk together down the halls. "What can I say? Lincoln's not here, and he trusts me to keep an eye on Lisa and the twins, and possibly when time does come, Lily might end up here and I might be in the 5th or the 6th grade when she does arrive."
Rocky chuckles. "If that does happen, you know when we go to Middle School one day, who the heck are you gonna leave to keep an eye on the younger ones?"
Lucy thinks about this. "Well, my whole idea is to see if Lola and Lana can do that. When Lily does come to the school, I need to know if they can keep an eye on them and make sure they don't get into any trouble."
"Wow, I thought Lincoln had the plans in his head" said Rocky.
"He does, but I guess you can say that I'm pulling off a page from his book" said Lucy.
They then head off to meet with the rest of the Young Morticians Club. While Patriot and Valkyrie remain airborne above the school of Royal Woods Elementary.
(Royal Woods High School.)
Luna, Sam, Leni and Luan walk into the school. Each one with a big plan for this return to school, and on the New Year.
"Well, I am gonna go and look for Benny and then see if Ms. Bernardo is planning on some new plays this month. See you guys when the lunch is served with a side of jokes!" chuckled Luan as she walks to another hallway.
"I'm gonna go and see how my friends are doing, what are you up to today, Luna and Sam?" asked Leni.
"Gonna see if we can make some cool new songs, and also get ready for that" said Sam.
They all look to the poster and are wide eyed seeing what it says.
"February 14, the Royal Woods High School Prom will commence and the theme is Hearts and Angels, so better hope you got a date, because it's gonna be one night to remember, and to all the seniors out there too."
Leni smirks. "I am totes not worried, I already got something to wear for that night."
Luna and Sam smirk. "I think Sam and I are gonna be rocking and grooving as the musical entertainment this time, we can dance to the beat when our senior years' begin" said Luna.
"Oh heck yeah, Lunes" said Sam, they both high five and walk off. Leni also goes to look for her friends.
"So, we should look for Sully and Mazzy right?" asked Luna.
"Heck yeah, and when we do get to them we have to make a song for the whole Prom, but mostly for whoever becomes Prom King and Queen, we need a song that would be good for when they start their dance" said Sam.
Luna smirks. "Then let's get to it babe, also, I got this feeling that Lincoln and the others at the Middle School are gonna be having some rough times figuring out for their first ever Prom there."
"Lincoln's the man-with-the-plan. He's got this" replied Sam. "Another thing I gotta ask, when are you guys chilling with the hero counterparts soon?"
Luna thinks about this. "Not sure, we're gonna need to talk to Linc and Jordan and then we can figure things out. Be glad one thing is not in town anymore."
Sam and Luna then speak the name at the same time. "No Leslie Silver!"
They then spot Sully and Mazzy and speak with them, and then head to the music room.
Outside, Luna's Stellar's Sea Eagle, Bullet sits on the tree branch and is keeping an eye on the High School, but he's not alone. Looks like he's made pals with a Pidgeotto and a Staravia.
(Somewhere in New Jersey.)
A man walks into a bar and he looks for some two friends he's supposed to meet, or better yet, two men he helped bail out of jail. The man's name? Derrick Carson – the man who is related to Jessica, Angel and her parents and the man is the uncle to the four boys who caused so much trouble, though one of them has been disowned.
Derrick then walks around the bar and he sees his two buddies, the buddies he used to pal with and he helped them bail out, who are they? Emanuel C. Chavez Del Santos and Jeremy J.K. Trump. We know who they are.
He sits with them. "Good to see you, man and thanks for bailing us out too" said Emanuel.
"But we know you didn't bail us out just to hang out, what's this all about Derrick, some kind of job to do?" asked Jeremy.
Derrick then shows them the photos of Lori, Leni, Sam and Jordan. "These girls here, these are the targets and we're gonna kidnap them, and then we're gonna get my nephews out of juvie, especially Edison. My brother is a fucking asshole for disowning the boy, so I'll take him in."
"Why we doing this, man?" asked Emanuel. "What's this all about?"
Derrick scoffs. "Revenge, and I wanna make sure my boys get the ladies they deserve and become men, and who knows, maybe even start a family with them chicks too. I was part of a plan my boy Edison here had, but it failed and I was nearly caught by the law, and now here we are."
"You boys want in?"
Emanuel and Jeremy look to each other. "What's in it for us, Derrick?" asked Jeremy.
"I bailed you boys out, ain't that enough?" asked Derrick sternly.
"Nah man. You bailed us out because you needed a crew, what's it really in for us if we help you, man?" asked Emanuel.
"Yeah, we get paid in cash for doing this job?" asked Jeremy.
Derrick then thinks. "How about, if we do this….. We also find you guys some ladies to score down, any age will do." This makes them smile.
"Oh, we in" said Jeremy. "When do we do this job?"
Derrick smirks. "Saturday, the best moment to attack, but first we need some gear in case this kid here." He places down the photo of Lincoln. "Tries to smart up, and if we do see him, and we put his lights out, for good. Along with this bitch." He puts down the photo of Luna.
Jeremy and Derrick smile. "We'll do the job."
This is not good.
