Once the feast was over they made their way to their dorms. Around him, Harrison could smell the scents of fear and distrust around them. Many of them were from his own House. For the moment he ignored them. He doubted that they would confront him until they were safely in the Common Rooms.

It wasn't just his Housemates, however. Ravenclaws were openly staring at him stonily. Hufflepuffs half-whispered about him behind his back. Slytherins didn't openly stare but he had no doubt that they were. Some would know about his new affiliations. Only some would, however. Those that didn't would be warned against hurting him.

Harrison ignored them. He had a reason to act like himself now. To no longer be the person they had expected of him. It was a process he had started last year and one he decided to keep up.

Instead he and the rest of the second years and up heading to the Common Rooms. Neville was on his right his eyes were watching everyone. He had decided to support Harrison no matter what the other chose.

Once there he moved to stand by the fireplace and lit it. Warmth filled him and something in him rumbled. His wolf? Possibly.

A hand landed on his shoulder and spun him around. Harrison went with it partially before knocking away the hand. He glared at the person who decided to grab him. Neville who had been sitting in the chair closest to him had pulled his wand.

The owner of the hand was Seamus Finnegan. His face was an angry shade of red that reminded him of Vernon. Harrison narrowed his eyes and his hand touched his wand readily to throw a shield up.

He asked his voice as colder as a winter storm, "What do you want Seamus?"

"My ma," snarled the other, "Almost didn't let me come back to Hogwarts because of you."

"Because of me?" He questioned confused, "Why would she not allow you to come back because of me?"

Seamus continued in the snarl, "Because of what the Prophet is saying about you. That you are claiming, You Know Who is back."

Harrison turned his head to the side as he said, "You know that they lie. They lied all of last year. If your mother believes that drivel then she is a fool."

"Don't talk about my ma like that, Potter!"

Seamus's wand was drawn a moment later followed by Harrison's wand. They stared each other down only vaguely aware of their audience. Neville was at the ready though his jaw set stubbornly.

Seamus looked between them and the audience. Hatred was clear in his eyes but he knew casting the first spell would not be in his best interest. Partially because Harrison was top of their year in defense. Partially because he would be outnumbered.

Slowly Seamus returned his wand to its holster. After a moment Harrison and Neville did the same. For a moment he considered what to say. All years were in the Common Rooms now. They were watching him. A few with hope. A few with mistrust. Most just wanted things to be normal. To not get caught in the middle of a war.

After some consideration, he said, "You all know who I am. Everyone second year and up saw what happened last year. Before this summer I never had anyone at home that actually gave a damn about me. Now I do. I plan on being nothing more or less than a student. We are just kids."

The younger students looked relieved. Some of the older ones looked contemplative. It was those who looked disgusted that Harrison took note of. Even those he had called his friends at one point. If they could not accept his position then they weren't really his friends. Neville was a big surprise, however. He almost looked proud at Harrison's proclamation that he didn't intend on having any adventures this year.

Ron and Hermione in particularly held disgust in their eyes. There wasn't even an attempt to hide it. Mentally he sneered at them.

Harrison turned to leave and was stopped by McGonagall, "Mr. Potter, Professor Dumbledore would like to see you in his office right after breakfast."

Instead of answering him out loud, he gave a curt nod. Then he headed straight for his dorm. He almost laid directly on his bed before thinking better of it. Things had changed this year. It would be better for him if he warded his trunk and better. Nosy Gryffindors liked to stick their noses where they didn't belong.

With that done he pulled the curtains around his bed and continued his work in his journal. Not long later he would hear his dorm mates enter but no one tried to bother him. When he did go to sleep his dreams were filled with running. Running with his inner wolf and the need to never stop.

When he woke up he had to shower for he was covered in sweat. He could not wait for his first shift. Then the dreams would stop. He hoped. After his shower, he went down to breakfast. Given the early hour, only a few Ravenclaws were there. As he expected the looks continued for now he ignored them. If nothing else happened they would stop in a few weeks.

Piling his plate high of meats he practically inhaled it. By the time other students began filing in he was full. Being able to enjoy the food at Hogwarts was a nice change. There was only so long he could avoid the Headmaster, however. He didn't have much of a choice but to leave and go speak to him. No matter how much Harrison would rather do anything else.
