Author's Notes
Aztec13 - Ay glad you got the reference of Nappa straight away, I did enjoy DBZA, it was one inspiration for this ^^ And yes there are many things with other characters waiting to be discovered. I don't mind the reviews by the way! I'm happy you are enjoying it! ^^ The technology you can see is quite a mix of everything really. It's a little odd but that's intentional.
lordgemini - Hints are always fun, I do enjoy the little hints I add. Providing a foundation is always great after all. Yeah the ages themselves are different now. It will get probably a little confusing but here we go!
A last note, this chapter focuses on the Noah and Trent side of the story, don't worry the Dwayne and Leonard side will be the next chapter ^^
TDZ Arc 2 Chapter 2
"Wait how can Dave be the one writing this?" Trent looked confused.
"Ah, I forgot you weren't awake when we went through it all. It seems we got here through both space and time." Noah blinked.
"Damn, that's crazy" Trent's eyes widened a bit. "Wait, how long have you been here then?"
"A week at best"
"Damn, I've been here for a good 3 months, man… this all is getting confusing." Trent looked a little frustrated.
"Well I have a feeling things are about to get even more confusing" Noah grabbed 'Documents of a Lost traveller'. "I feel this will be the best book to read first. Compared to 'Idols of the Damned' the other two seem pretty short. Can you have a look at 'The Shine'?"
"Sure thing man." Trent picked up 'The Shine' and opened it, the book had descriptions and ideas about the event that occurred on the island. It was mostly informative, like a non-fiction book just giving out information of all his findings.
Noah opened his book and started reading, this one was in the first person in the perspective of Dave himself. It gave an account of Dave's experiences over the years while in this world.
Dave climbed a mountain.
The mountain of the lands, the largest of them all, Mount Serget.
He got to the top, he breathed hard as he struggled to stand properly but as he looked over his view he saw something beautiful.
In the world of the 3 continents, he could see each one from this mountain, one of ice, one of grass and one of sand.
To find a way back, I at least need to know the world around me…
"Hmm… I wonder why the books ended up here anyway…" Noah said.
"Maybe there's multiple copies?" Trent blinked.
"Possibly… Though these books are handwritten… unless they got photocopied this may be the one and only original…" he blinked.
"It seems from the get-go of arriving he was eager to get back home. I don't blame him and I'm not surprised really. He always enjoyed just sticking to normalcy." Noah stated.
"You can really feel his desperation though, travelling a lot, searching and writing all clues down but it's leading nowhere. I have a feeling the ending to this isn't exactly him getting home." He frowned.
"That's sad actually… though he did write it down so there must be some hope here right? Maybe we can go see him and ask about it." Trent said.
"Unlikely. This is dated 100 years back, It's very likely our fellow total drama contestant is… long gone." Noah frowned more. "But… that doesn't mean we can't finish what he started. We've got plenty of clues here and well if we can dig enough maybe we can figure something out."
"I hope so… I don't think this Shine book seems that useful, it's mostly just what we already thought," Trent said.
"Well it's good to have someone else conclude the same though, what did he say about the shining event then?" Noah asked.
"Well. He thinks the light itself caused us to teleport. He actually confirmed it was space and time as well. He thinks however that the device itself isn't from either of our worlds."
"The device isn't from this world?" Noah blinked. "So you're saying there may be more worlds than this one?"
Trent nodded.
"Interesting. Well, how can we trust his thoughts? And how did he even know of the device? He wasn't there."
"He encountered Chris... "
Dave was walking through a cave, holding a map ripped map. He used a flashlight to light up the area. He wore some winter clothing and a robe to keep himself warm.
"He must be here somewhere…I was told by the villagers he would be out here…"
He heard the sound of rocks rolling nearby and he jumped.
"Ah!" He flashed his light in the direction and saw Chris with a full-grown beard and bags under his eyes. His clothes were ripped and he smelt of pure ash.
"What.. what happened to you." Dave's eyes widened.
"Oh… it's you. Haha… welcome to total drama… cave, hahahahaha… I shouldn't have got that device… I should've dealt with it… hahaha That's why we are here! Hahahahah! Forever!"
"Crazy stuff man," Trent said.
Noah just frowned more. "I don't think that's enough evidence. It's a decent theory but not good enough." He frowned. "I don't think we can get anything more from that book."
Trent shook his head.
"Chris was there though, does that mean he's dead too… man I hope Gwen got here at a good time" He looked down a bit.
"Maybe those are just the extreme examples. A lot of us were only a few months to a few years apart after all. I'm sure it will be fine." Noah blinked and gave a small reassuring smile to Trent.
Trent nodded. "Alright… Cheers man."
Noah nodded back and continued to read the book.
"Hmm well we got a good description of our world though, apparently it's a world split into three different continents. One described as icy, another grassy and one last is sandy. You'd think there were more climates." He blinked.
"Doesn't sound far from our world huh" Trent stated.
"Well, considering we're not dead from the temperature or there is no air, I'd say yes, not too far from our own place. We are pretty lucky." Noah blinked.
"Yeah very lucky."
"Or… maybe this was intentional." Noah put his hand to his own chin.
"Intentional?" Trent blinked.
"Well. Maybe there is a reason we are here…" He started going into a bit of deep thought before shaking his head. "Something to think about I guess. Best not to delve into it too hard for now." He blinked before he looked back at the book.
"It seems from here he had the power to just blend into any situation. Basically, be normal. I think we can confirm here that everyone has powers of some kind right?" Noah asked.
"Maybe? Sorry, I'm not as good with this kind of stuff man." Trent admitted.
"Hmh. Just thinking out loud." Noah blinked.
"Sadly most of this is just documenting his adventures. The only key thing here is noting his experiences and the world around him. It seems the species that dominates the planet is mostly the ones we see currently in Aendrikard. Purple, blue, red skin. Different variations just like us humans." Noah closed the book. "So much waffle though, I wish he wrote better." Noah frowned.
"Hey now man, no need to insult his writing, at least he gave us something." Trent smiled.
"I guess." Noah then picked up the last book, 'Idols of the Damned'. "I just hope this book actually gives us some idea." He opened it and started to read.
Trent watched Noah as he read, he noticed his expression went from a look of frustration to a more calm and curious look. "Find something there?"
"Indeed I may have, have a look at this" Noah gestured to him to come over.
Trent stood and walked behind Noah. He glanced down at the book Noah was reading, he could see a bunch of text as well as a picture of a few objects that looked like Chris.
"Wait.. is that Chris?" Trent blinked.
"Indeed it is. It seems we weren't the only things that changed from that light after all." Noah gave a small smirk.
"I… I don't understand, why are there a bunch of Chris statue things?"
"Idols Trent. Apparently, it seems like Dave figured out how we can actually get out of here, it seems he had found it in some ancient script"
Dave was inside of some ancient ruins and was using his flashlight on the cave markings in the cave. He saw a carving of Chris and seven idols nearby.
"What the... What is this…" Dave said to himself.
"Those look like those total drama idols in the show." He blinked and looked at the carvings more.
"They don't really tell much but there must be something we can do with these idols… interesting."
He looked at a portal that was carved in it too.
"Odd… this is very odd…"
"Very cliche I must say," Noah grumbled.
"It's quite wild how he managed to get through all that really. He was something huh…" Trent said.
"Indeed," Noah stated. "Looks like we know what to do now." Noah sighed a little.
"What's up? You seem a bit down about this man." Trent asked.
"Well, it's going to take much longer than I thought it would. We got to find all seven of these idols. God knows where any are. And we don't even know what to do with them after, we just need to collect them." Noah blinked.
"Maybe something happens when they all come together?" he said.
"Well. I don't know. I guess we will see." Noah closed the book. "I need you to do me a favour."
"And what is that?" Trent said.
He handed over the book. "I need you to stuff this in your shirt or something."
"Are you saying to steal the book?" Trent raised an eyebrow. "This isn't like you."
"Well Trent, sometimes the ends justify the means. Sorry book." He frowned. "I'm sure Dave the germaphobe would love to know that one of his writings is about to be smothered in your abs."
"Alright, I'll do it. But what do I say when someone sees this square bulge?" Trent put the book under his shirt.
"Think of something. I don't care what. As long as it gets us out" Noah stated before he got up.
They started to leave the library, Trent felt nervous as he walked past a librarian.
How am I going to explain this…
Trent stared at the librarian directly. "Strange how my species erm, gets pregnant with a square shape…"
The librarian looked at him confused.
"Haha…" Trent rubbed the back of his head and paced past with a red face.
Noah overheard this and widened his eyes in disgust.
As soon as they shut the doors Noah turned to Trent. "Please never say that again."
"Wait but you said-"
"Don't even mention it. Just please don't." Noah frowned and walked back to Scarlett's place with Trent following behind.
They knock on the door.
"It's open!" Shouted Scarlett.
The duo stepped in and saw Scarlett crafting something, they see a guitar shape. She looked up at Trent. "Erm, what's with the stomach?" She blinked.
"Oh!" Trent lifted his shirt a bit and got the book. "It was that idol book. We kinda…"
"Relocated it," Noah said.
"Yeah, we'll go with that." Trent smiled a little and then spotted what Scarlett was doing. "Oh! Is that the new guitar?" his eyes sparkled.
"Yes it is, this was a fun project actually, I don't tend to use wood much." Scarlett smiled. "It still has a few days before it is fully done however I got the basic shape."
"Oh I'm excited, thank you for this" Trent returned the smile.
"I hate to disturb you guys but the book? I got questions." Noah interrupted.
"Oh yes, the book, you read it I assume? You probably already came up with the same conclusion as I yes? We need to find these idols." She smirked.
"Well… yeah I guess so. But isn't this place huge? There's no way we could just find all seven that easily." Noah blinked.
"Oh bookworm, I've got that covered too. Mostly anyway, we need to find at least one idol and we can use that to track the others. At least in theory we can." Scarlett replied.
"Do we have one already?" Trent asked.
Scarlett shook her head. "No, but… I know where one is. This is going to be hard to believe though."
"I'm listening," Noah said.
"Well. There's a person that possess an idol necklace. They are the queen of this city." Scarlett said.
"The queen? So you're saying we have to steal from royalty?" Noah frowned. "I don't think she is going to just give it to us."
"That's not the biggest surprise here." Scarlett gave a small smirk, she seemed amused. "The queen is Staci."
"Wait… Our Staci?" Trent asked.
"The very same," Scarlett said.
"Wah? Man.. what" Trent gasped a bit.
Noah frowned. "How did that even happen?"
"It seems it has something to do with her power. She just came one day and suddenly she was in power and even disposed of the previous leader. It's wild actually. I don't know what power she has but it must be powerful." She stated.
"Clearly. Let's just hope we can do this diplomatically, I'd rather not get into any more fights." He sighed.
"So where do we start then?" Trent asked.
"Let's wait for Dwayne to get back and then we can think of something ok?" Scarlett said. "For now I'm going to go back to the guitar. In fact Trent you can come to help me add some interesting touches to it, as it will be yours I'm sure you want some personal things to it."
"I like the sound of that, sure." Trent smiled.
"Also guys. Please go have a shower, you really smell." Scarlett frowned. "It's been almost a week for you guys after all."
The two nodded. Trent stood up. "I guess I'll go first, where is it?"
"Right door, then 3rd door. You can't miss it, I'll get you a new set of clothes ok?"
Trent nodded and walked to have a shower.
"Guess I'll just go read a book," Noah stated as he walked to Scarlett's bookshelf to grab one. He reached for a book.
"Oh don't get that one! It was badddd." Scarlett disturbed.
Noah sighed and tried for another.
"Not that either."
He frowned and went for another book.
"No-"
"Then what." Noah groaned.
"Hmmm go for the yellow one on the right."
Noah spotted the yellow book and grabbed it. He didn't even bother to read the cover and just sat down to read. "Let's hope this is good now."
He relaxed and simply went into the reading world...
