TDZ Arc 2 Chapter 3
Dwayne stared at Leonard for a while, then finally decided to speak up
"Leonard? Is that really you?" asked Dwayne, still in kind of shock seeing delusional kid here.
Leonard in response just laughed "of course it's me! Leonard the great! Long time no see, my friend!"
Dwayne then shook his head and asked "what are you doing here? Last time I have seen you, was in Ridonculous Race where you mocked me and my son". Then Dwayne scoffed remembering when Leonard snarled at both him and junior during the second challenge
Leonard's smile quickly replaced with a frown "What do you mean by mocking? I was giving advice!"
"Well as you can see, it didn't really help much!" replied Dwayne
"ugh ungrateful mortals, never appreciate a Wizard's help" muttered Leonard
Dwayne decided to change the topic since he was really surprised to see another contestant here "Okay sorry Leonard, I just still can't get over it, but hey it's nice to see you again, it's always wonderful to meet old friends!" Dwayne said with enthusiasm as he held out his hand. Leonard smiled, as he shook Dwayne's hand
"Nice to see you too, my old comrade!" said Leonard
"Well uhm how long have you been here? Do you know in this place? It seems you know these kids so I assume you've been here for quite a while" asked Dwayne
"oh, I don't remember actually. Maybe a month or two?" answered Leonard "Not gonna lie, but it's quite a long dream, I wonder if I ever will wake up. Perhaps I was enchanted by a dark witch and trapped into an endless loop of my dream…" wondered Leonard as he held his hand under his chin
"A dream?" asked Dwayne
"of course! I mean it's obvious that it's all just a dream since I was teleported to this place when I fell asleep. Also not to mention that this place has Dragons, goblins, and even giant frogs, which I hadn't encountered for years! And my magic has returned too, after being absorbed by the dark energy of Pahkitew Island" exclaimed Leonard.
Dwayne started wondering for a while.
I mean he could be right. After all, I have faced with Noah, it's too surreal to be true. Hold on, that's not right. First of all, dreams don't last that long and I was here for months! And 2nd I actually slept several times and you can't sleep in dreams! I think… I need to ask Noah about this one, he probably knows better
Dwayne then snapped out of his thoughts and turned to Leonard "Sorry Leonard, but I don't think dreams last that long"
Leonard shook his hand "Fool! Like I said I was enchanted by some witch, so that's the reason why! I just need to find a way to snap out of my dream!"
"oh man, he really thinks that he is trapped in a dream! Wait Junior told me that he's just a roleplayer. He told me that roleplayers are just like actors, they just play their role. Yeah, that's right, this kid just plays his role, he doesn't really believe that he is dreaming! Haha I must say he nails it, I actually believed him" thought Dwayne
"Oh no, that sounds horrible!" said Dwayne, acting "Do you remember how you got here"
Leonard held his hand under his chin "Well it's quite a long story! Sit down and listen, my friend, this story is not like others you have heard! "
Dwayne did as Leonard said and he sat down on the bench as he started listening to Leonard's story
"Ahem, it happened a long time ago, when I and my great friend Tammy were on our epic adventure across the lands of the island during Chris' big season! But suddenly the white light appeared and I was teleported to this dream….."
Flashback
Leonard's POV
Suddenly I opened my eye and I found myself under the water. I swam up and breathed as I looked around and saw trees and waterfall around me.
"Tammy? Timmy?" I called my friend's names hoping that they would respond. Unfortunately, I didn't hear an answer.
"Aw nuts" I muttered as I got up and started exploring my surroundings. I walked around for quite a while, only seeing rivers and trees. I assumed I was in some forest
"forest?!" Dwayne exclaimed, "it's a strange coincidence since me and my pals also were travelling in the forest for quite a while could it be that-"
"shush" Leonard hushed Dwayne "Don't interrupt my story!"
Dwayne scoffed for a bit but decided to obey the delusional kid.
"Anyway" coughed Leonard as he kept telling his story
I continued my quest to find my home and my friends. I assume I was probably dreaming because it felt all surreal. Suddenly my long walking cycle was interrupted as I stumbled upon a huge tree and on top of it, I saw a small house.
"Treehouse? Hmm, I finally could find an ally who will tell me what's happening" I thought as I started chanting my spell.
"Levitaticus!" i yelled, but nothing happened. I shook my head as it seems another of my spells didn't work. It's quite a long story really. I was a powerful wizard for a long time, all monsters feared me! But alas after visiting Pahkitew Island, it seems that my powers were absorbed by the dark energy of the island! 2 years passed and I still couldn't recover my powers! But I digress. Anyway seeing as my spells will not help me, I started climbing the tree. Once at the top, I saw quite a nice house. A few candles on the floor, a table with tea, also lots of birds.
"Greetings, I have been expecting you" I heard the calm voice as I turned around and was quite shocked to see someone finally for awhile.
It was a girl with pale skin and light blond hair, with blue eyes and a green sweater.
"Salutations" I exclaimed eagerly "so you must be the owner of this house, am I correct?"
The girl smiled as she responded with "Well mostly. I found this house abandoned and decided to settle here"
"Woah I must say you have quite a nice place to live in!" I said as I looked around curiously.
The mysterious girl giggled "Thank you! Oh how rude, I forgot to introduce myself, the name is Dawn, you must be Leonard?"
"Indeed it's I Leonard the great!" I stated, not being bothered by the fact that she knows me. I was on a TV show anyway, so of course, I am famous! In fact, I believe we were in the same season actually...
Dawn giggled at me. Did I say something funny? "Well it's nice to finally meet you Leonard!" she said with quite the enthusiasm."Was she my fan?" I thought.
"No, silly, I just know all contestants from the total drama, even the ones I didn't get to interact with during the season" Dawn giggled
This actually caught me by surprise. "So you can read my mind I see," I said calmly. After all, I met with psychics before
"Really?" asked Dwayne
"Hush, Story is still not over"
"Well not really, I read your aura." said the girl calmly.
"Oh aura reader I see," I said, again not surprised.
She nodded "Your aura is quite difficult to read not going to lie. It has many different colours, I haven't encountered anything like that for a long time"
"Oh its because I have lots of spirits inside me! After killing enemies, I absorb their souls so I guess that's the reason for different colours!"
She stayed silent for a minute and it was hard to read her expression. Did I said something wrong? Then suddenly she spoke up "hmm I see…"
She opened her eyes and said "You must be wondering what are you doing here"
"Yes indeed. I was hanging out with my best friend Tammy, and then suddenly everything went white and I woke up in a waterfall" I said
Dawn nodded as she said "Well it seems you are not the only one. Unfortunately, I can't tell you much about the situation right now. But I can give you something that will help you with your journey"
She went over the bookshelf where she started searching for books. I could see several books like "Lord of Gems" "Larry Porter" "The witch of Zoo". But the one she picked was somehow familiar. I nearly gasped. It was a spellbook!
"Here's spellbook, it doesn't belong to me, but sensing your aura, I know that it's definitely for you," she said as she handed me a book
Then I shook my head "I mean I am a wizard, but I don't think my spells work anymore"
She tilted her head "What makes you have this thought, dear?"
"Well after joining Pahkitew Island, every time I use one of my spells they don't work! I assume that it's all because of the curse of Pahkitew. Oh this darn dark lord McLean, one day he will pay!" I explained with a grim tone.
"Hmm well McLean is not alive anymore, so maybe your magic will work!" she said
"Hmm, perhaps-Wait a sec. Lord McLean is dead? How do you know about this?" I asked
"Unfortunately, I can't reveal you sources that told me this information, but I assure you that it's true!" she assured me
Well, I guess I will believe her, I thought. I wasn't actually sad about the reveal that McLean died. In fact, I am quite happy. This imbecile will know next time not to cross the paths with Leonard the great! It still seems surreal tho. It's definitely gotta be the dream, I know-
"How about you test one of the spells?" Dawn interrupted my thoughts.
I nodded as I started listing through all pages.
hmm which one to use I don't need something big, since it's just a test to be sure that I have my magic powers back. Fire spell? Nah I don't wanna burn the house. Water spell? I only got this hood, I don't want it wet! Ice spell? Sounds interesting but I will save it for later. Aha electricity spell.
I started chanting "Aza Electrico Bunos" suddenly huge lightning orbs formed on my arms as I shoot them, they immediately hit the table, knocking it away. I looked in disbelief
"It worked!"
Dwan clapped "See, I told you. Well a shame that my table was the sacrifice" she looked at the table that looked burned because of the lightning beam.
"oh sorry, I wanted to hit the air" I scratched my head nervously.
"no worries, I didn't use it anyway" she reassured me.
"Well thanks for your help, mystery girl, but unfortunately I must go to find my way out of this dream," I said
She waved at me "Farewell, good luck"
I climbed down and started thinking. Now what? Well since I have my magic back, I may as well use it. I looked at my spellbook and smiled. Teleportation spell, marvellous!
I started chanting the spell "Aza Teperoto Ritos!". My eyes were blinded by huge light as I was teleported
I fell off the sky and landed on the ground. I heard some gasps, as I got up, I saw lots of people. Not average people, mind you. They all had different colours of skin.
Am I in another dimension?
"Hey bud are you okay?" one of these people said to me as they held out the hand, but I shook it off
"Of course, nothing stops me!" I boasted as I looked around. I seem to be in some city, as people around me looked confused. "Hmm, but my spell did teleport me not into a place that I wanted. Well, I must as well try to explore it, it's my dream after all. "I started walking, exploring my surroundings. A few people glanced at me weirdly, but it didn't bother me. After all, they should fear me, the great wizard!
After walking for a while, I found the market."Marvellous! I can buy some potions!" I thought. I walked around, looking at all stuff that people were selling. Food, Weapons and some weird stuff. I stopped in my tracks and looked at weapons. "Curse it, no magic stuff, only swords and axes"
"I see, my stuff caught your interest, pal" voice suddenly interrupted me
I looked around and saw a giant bald man with purple skin standing right in front of me. I swear he looked exactly the same as that one guy from anime, that I and Tammy watched
"Hmmm well, not exactly the stuff that I need" I replied.
The smile on the giant's disappeared as he asked me "Really? Well then what do you need, bud?"
"Do you have something related to magic? Like potions or a magic wand?" I asked
The man suddenly laughed "Sorry, but I sell weapons, not magic toys"
"Figures" I muttered as I prepared to walk away, but the giant suddenly placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Hold your horses, pal, judging by your outfit and requests, I wonder. Are you a wizard?"
"Of course, I am Leonard the great wizard of level 99" I exclaimed proudly.
"Ohhhh, wizards! There are thousands of rumours about wizards around here, but nobody actually saw one. Tho I met space wizard once, but it's not the same"
"space wizard?!" my eyes suddenly shined
"Yeah, but it's a different story. I may tell you one day, but not today" he smiled
"Awww" I signed disappointedly
"Hey don't be sad. I actually have something that you may found interesting" he laughed as he showed me a sword
"heh it's just a regular sword" I blinked
"That's what it looks like. In reality, this is a magic sword!" the man smirked as he saw my shocked expression.
"Yeah, no joking. Legends say that this sword belonged once to Gods! Not to mention the weird powers this thing has. So interested?" he looked at me with a sly expression.
"Marvelous! This sword will happen to me on my adventure!" I smiled, as I tried to take the sword, but the giant held a huge grip on the sword, so I couldn't take it easily
"Hey, hey! Easy here, champ, this sword is not for free!" the man said as he still held the sword tightly.
"aw, nuts. Do you accept dragon coins" I asked him.
"dragon coins? What are these" man peaked with curiosity
I showed him a bunch of coins from my pocket. The man quickly snatched these coins from my hands, as he started studying them. Then he scoffed.
"Sorry, but it's not it. Listen here. You can always come back later when you will find real money. And then you will get your precious sword. The name is Nappa, remember it well" the man smiled.
I bowed "well it was nice to meet you, Nappa, we shall cross our paths again," I said as I walked away
Quite a nice fella, but it's a shame that he is just part of my dream. Speaking of that, when do I wake up?
I walked for 10 minutes, seeing the same houses and shops across me. I sat on the bench trying to relax.
"That's definitely gotta be a dream, but why can't I wake up. Is it another curse? Hmm wait why not try teleporting spell again" I said as I started chanting it
"Aza Teleporyivu Recus" nothing happened. "Ava Telpokio Risa". Again nothing "Aba Tellporkio Reva" nothing.
"why it's not working?!" I screamed.
Maybe I am right, maybe it's a dream, it all makes sense now. Or I am just out of mana. Wait what if I just got it wrong?
I started to search for the spellbook, but suddenly I heard screams.
"no time for that! Someone needs my help!" I quickly ran towards the sound of screaming. And you wouldn't believe what I encountered! It was the most despicable thing I saw!
"oh my goodness, is that monster?!" asked Dwayne nervously
"Nope, worse"
"A dragon?!"
"I wish it was a dragon"
"an ogre"
"ogres died 100 years ago, you baffoon"
"then what was it?"
"it was" Leonard started speaking, but paused creating tense silence. Dwayne bit his nails anxiously as he waited for Wizard kid to reveal the attacker.
"a bear"
Silence
If it was Trent and Noah, they would let out a disappointing sigh. But instead, Dwayne gasped "Not the bears! Wait what is a bear is doing in the city? "
"I mean it's my dream so I am not questioning. Anyway…"
As I said, I saw a giant bear coming near a few kids who were shivering in fear. I wondered why they didn't just run, but I guess they were probably too scared. As bear started to approach them, I quickly jumped between them and turned to the kids.
"Fly you fools! This foe is beyond you!" kids nodded their heads as they started quickly running away, while I was the blocking bear.
"Go back to the shadows of wawawankwa, you shall not pass!" I yelled as I stood with my wizard staff proudly. I wanted to attack, but the thing is…. Well, I forgot my spells.
"Uh can you give me one minute, I need to recharge my ma-" I was swiped away by the bear before I could even finish my sentence. Bear once again started approaching kids who again was just standing here. No seriously why don't they run!
I got up as I started to quickly search for spells in my book. Aw nuts, he is gonna eat these poor kids while I will be searching for spells, I need to distract him.
I looked at my wizard wand, and then at him. I sighed "As mystery girl said, sacrifices must be made," I said as I yelled at the bear "Hey you beast!", it quickly turned its head towards me. I quickly threw it in the opposite direction and it seems to really catch its attention.
Marvellous. I quickly started to search for spells, while it's distracted. Hmmm, quick quick which one will defeat this beast. Oh this one seems right
I started chanting the spell as both fireballs formed on my hands. Wait, fire?! I wanted to use a wind spell to send it away! Ugh whatever I guess I will just burn it.
I shot my fireballs, but I couldn't aim, so I ended missing and hit the tree instead which fall off and then it started burning.
The bear turned around, and quickly ran away, probably being scared by what's happening. Well, at least I got rid of this beast even if not the way I wanted. But now the tree is on fire! I need to stop it or it will spread around and burn everything!
I tried to use a water spell, but once again I got it wrong and ended up using an ice spell which stopped the fire, but also created an ice sculpture, that originally was where the tree stood, as well!
Well, it's over I guess. Quite anti-climatic if you ask me. Oh, wait the children? I hope they are alright. I walked to them
"Hey kids, are you alright," I said in a quiet voice, which is unusual for me, but I always try to act quieter around kids. They nodded their heads.
"Well, that's good to know." I signed with relief. I was thinking of walking away, but one kid held on to my hood.
"Uhm sir, I have a question," said the kid.
"Go ahead, young one," I said with a reassuring voice.
"How did you manage to create fire and ice?" he asked.
"Oh, it's because I am the wizard!" I exclaimed.
"A wizard?" other kid asked
I nodded "yeah that's right, I am the most powerful wizard you have ever met!"
"Oh are you like, a magician?" one of the kids said, their eyes shining with stars.
"Well you could say that" I chuckled
"oh oh show us the magic trick," one girl said excitedly. Other kids started also to be excited. Finally, people started recognizing me!
"hmm very well" I muttered as I picked sausage from my pocket.
"Hold on why do you have sausage in your pocket?" Dwayne asked.
"Don't ask questions you aren't prepared to handle the answer to" Leonard scoffed.
"I will cook this sausage under 30 seconds," I said, as kids started looking at me with anticipation
Then I started chanting fire spell and it actually worked! I looked at the sausage that was on my hands. Now it was roasted.
"Ta-da!" I yelled. All kids started clapping and cheering.
"That's incredible" kids exclaimed
I bowed "thank you, thank you"
"Oh show us another one!" kids begged.
"Oh well I was planning to-" I tried to say, but kids shoot me with puppy eyes. Ah screw it, it's not like I am gonna wake up anytime soon, wouldn't hurt to stay for a while.
"Very well, I will show you my other magic tricks," I said as other kids started cheering.
"and here's how I decided to stay here, showing kids my magic shows, and meditating in my free time. Well, that's the end of my story" Leonard finally finished telling his story.
"wow that was quite a nice little adventure," said Dwayne in awe "I always admired magicians, in fact, junior still begs me to take him to magic shows hehe"
"Haha if you gonna take him to magic shows, you already know who to visit" Leonard winked.
"Oh yeah I already planned to take him to Winnie's magic circus, my friend of my wife told me that it was really good," Dwayne said obliviously.
"Right…." Leonard scoffed
"Anyway, you see me, Trent and Noah are on our adventure too. We would like some help, since well you know the more the merrier. And with your magic powers you would certainly help us!" suggested Dwayne.
Leonard held his hand under his chin, then finally spoke" Very well, I will not have other stuff to do anyway, so I guess I could lend you a wizard's help" he smiled.
"Awesome! Thank you very much!" said Dwayne
Leonard nodded "So where shall we go, Sir Dwayne? "
"Oh yeah, you see, I had a request from my friend to buy some stuff from the uhm bolt shop, it's called… erm.. you know my memory is not that good, son," said Dwayne.
"oh you mean blue bolt!" said Leonard
"oh yeah, that's the name! Do you know where is it!" asked Dwayne
"Of course! Follow me and try not to get lost" Leonard said as he started grabbing his wizard staff and his spellbook.
"Oh, so that's the spellbook that you was talking about!" Dwayne said excitedly
"Indeed. Well I guess we can go" said Leonard as he finished packing his stuff
"Nice! I wonder what adventures will await us" said Dwayne
"Well whatever it will be, I am ready" chuckled Leonard" Also Sir Dwayne, since I told you my story, how about you tell me your story"
"Oh well it's pretty long, but I guess we have time anyway. So it all started when I woke up in the forest and after a good few weeks, I saw an apple on the tree. I was hungry so I decided to climb it and then some weird squirrel-like creature walked on top of me as I climbed and tried to grab the apple. I reached really hard to get that apple and I fell getting my shirt stuck in a nearby branch and well… " Dwayne continued telling the rest of the story as both heroes walked...
