Author's Notes

Salut all! Back with another chapter! I'm the writer for this one ^^

Here's Blade's response to the previous chapter's reviews

LordGemini-ah yes i came up with name myself, thought would be fitting for this chapter since it focused on Leonard's adventures. Hey great to see that you enjoy it, especially since i only novice writer, it means a lot. Also agree, i probably should have put more thoughts into climax. But hey glad to see you enjoy it, and hope you will stick for this long adventure.

Aztec13- well i will admit that originally Dawn wasn't supposed to appear in this chapter at all. Originally Leonard was supposed to find empty hut with spell book and take it. But latter i decided that it would be weird that Leonard would just take away something that doesn't belongs to him, and especially how would he even know that it would be spellbook. So i decided to add Dawn to fix all mentioned above issues. Will Dawn appear in next chapters? Well not gonna spoil, so i guess we will see. Also yes it's quite mystery what other heroes do meanwhile. If Staci is queen, did Beardo became God? Did Tennis rivals became Tennis Knights? Well anything could happen and ig we will find out more as we go through this story. Also yes we intended to have some filler here. In fact the chapter that i wrote is mostly filler, tho i tried to made it interesting and add some lore. Anyway great that you enjoy lore of this story and dw you got your wish and as you can see new chapter is right here

Sbktd-ah yes Leonard what a legend. Leonard and Dwayne are definitely interactions that i was looking to write and glad that you enjoy them. What can i say, i love these two. Well what can i say, it was fun experiment, but next chapter i will write in normal pov. Well Leonard is unironicaly one of characters that i have fun writing as, so i had fun. Anyway glad that you liked it

TDZ Arc 2 Chapter 4

Meanwhile back at the Scarlett establishment.

Noah was still reading the book Scarlett gave him an hour ago now.

Trent was combing his hair with a comb that Scarlett gave him after his long shower.

Trent looked at himself in the mirror. "Looking pretty sweet," he said as he smirked at himself.

"Hm. Who are you trying to impress exactly?" Noah questioned as he gave his usual frown at Trent.

"Well man, the off chance I see Gwen again as well as just looking good for myself, it's nice to just look nice for yourself you know?" He smiled at Noah.

Noah responded by rolling his eyes a bit. "I guess so." He continued to read his book.

The sound of Scarlett working on Trent's guitar could be heard from a different room. He curiously got up and approached the room at which she was working.

He knocked on the door, "Hey Scarlett? Can I come in?" he asked.

"Sure, go on right ahead." She responded quickly.

He opened the door peered inside. Ht could see Scarlett wearing safety gloves and goggles, she was carving details into the wooden guitar base. The area looked a bit messy with sawdust and shavings everywhere. She glanced back at Trent. "Hey."

"Wow that's looking amazing so far," Trent said with a big smile. "I do appreciate the work you're putting into this. Especially with no benefit to you."

"Oh on the contrary Trent. There is a benefit to me actually" She stated as she pulled her goggles up.

"Like what?" Trent questioned.

"Well, if you have access to your powers it'll be easier to get us out of this place hopefully. Since the stronger we are, the easier we can get those idols and finally leave." She said confidently.

"Yeah, I guess so. Do you have someone to go back to?" He asked.

"Hm. Not specifically no. This place does seem interesting but personally being so many years here, I do miss our world. Also, there's no coffee here so I'll love to have that back" she gave a small smirk.

"No coffee? Damn. that's horrible." He looked a little concerned.

"Eh. Just one symptom of being in this world." She looked at him. "You said you had a singing ability yes?"

Trent nodded.

"Well as we prepare to get the idol from Staci how about you and Noah go out and practice your abilities?"

"I don't think Noah can get his out that easily." He said concerned.

"Well, it just means a thing to practice then! There's a field just behind this building actually. Use that." She smirked.

Trent nodded and smiled. "Well, we will get onto that then!" He confidently walked out and went towards Noah. "Hey man, care to come out for some training?"

Noah looked up. "Training?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, to train for the Staci stuff" He smiled.

"hm. " Noah perked up. "Is there a point though? Like, I can't even use them properly."

"That's what the training is for dude." Trent flexed a muscle casually. "I'm not much of a gym person but I feel training would be good, especially if we want a way out of here, how does that sound?"

"I really don't want to do anything too intensive…" Noah groaned.

"Sorry man, this is how it is right now, now come on, let's go" Trent motioned his hands for Noah to get up.

Noah reluctantly put his book down and got up.

Trent walked through the front door and started heading towards the field which Scarlett mentioned.

"So what, you're just going to sing or something then?" Noah said.

"Of course, it's an open field so at least I won't hurt anyone right?" He smiled.

"I've never heard of you singing in many tones other than your usual one." Noah blinked.

"That's true… That's one thing I need to practice. You see currently I do things in a tone called Bass, however, if I practice good enough, I will be able to achieve singing in Baritone."

"Right. Well, let's just hope you don't destroy another carriage eh?" Noah frowned.

"Hey man, it was one time" Trent chuckled lightly at the comment.

"I have a feeling it won't be the last" Noah sighed before he turned and saw a field ahead.

It was a grassy field, a few flowers but large and open. There weren't many people around currently.

They trekked to the field and stood a good distance from each other.

"So you're just going to sing?" Noah asked.

Trent nodded. "Yeah, first I want to just check that my bass singing is still good so I need you as a second partner" He smiled.

Noah nodded. "Well, I'm guessing it's going to be like last time right? It will make me stronger."

Trent smiled. "I would think so yeah. I uh, hope now that we aren't risking our lives that we can actually focus on making ourselves stronger."

"Guess so." Noah looked at Trent. "Well go ahead and sing. Let's see what happens."

Trent smirked and cleared his throat. He let out a thundering voice of bass. This even surprised Noah a bit as he widened his eyes at the voice.

"W-wow" Noah said as he blinked.

The duo could feel themselves boost up a bit, power increasing.

Trent started punching the air with enthusiasm. "Woo! Man, this feels good!" he continued.

Noah just was inspecting his hands and concentrating.

"Trying to awaken your power, Noah?" Trent asked.

Noah nodded and continued to concentrate.

Come on… There must be something inside that I can awaken… It's not like it's gone, I've used this power many times now… come on Noah… concentrate…

He took a deep breath and kept staying in deep thought. He could feel something inside him.

Some power started to build up. Aura started forming and the grass around Noah started moving up a bit.

Trent stopped punching the air and looked in awe at Noah. "Woah, man."

Noah kept his eyes closed and felt more power building up. Suddenly the power stopped and Noah opened his eyes and blinked a few times. "Hm, I seem to be able to get it somewhat, but not enough."

"You could try again" Trent suggested.

Noah shook his head. "No point. I don't think I'm ready and used to it enough, I'll need another situation."

Trent put his hand on his chin. "Hmmm, how about we spar?"

"Spar?" Noah blinked.

"Yeah, you know, fight it out, maybe if given enough urgency, you'll power up!" He smirked.

"Uh... I don't want to fight or get anyone hurt, to be honest…" Noah frowned.

"Oh, it'll be fine! Not like we'll die" Trent said as he laughed a little.

"Eh… I'm not sure" Noah frowned more.

"Well…" Trent boldly started walking towards him.

"Uh, what are you doing" Noah looked a bit concerned.

"Helping you, of course, let's do this." He suddenly threw a punch.

The punch hit him square in the chest, it sent Noah flying back a few metres onto the ground. "Ack!" he coughed. "The hell was that for?"

"Like I said" Trent got into a fighting pose. "We will unlock that power again."

"Gh… I suppose there's no way to get out of this huh?" Noah frowned.

"Sorry, bro. This is for your own good" He smiled.

Noah reluctantly got up and brushed himself off a bit. "Ok then, so be it." Noah got into a fight stance. "At least I still have the boost."

Trent smirked. "That's more like it man" He closed the distance between them and threw another punch.

Noah this time stepped back a bit to dodge. "Hm!"

"Now you're getting the hang of it!" He stepped forward and kicked him back.

"Gh!" Noah fell back a bit but kept his composure. He was already out of breath. "G-give... Give me a moment."

Trent smiled. "Sorry man, we need to train that stamina too." He leapt forward to deliver another kick towards his side.

"Ack!" His foot landed and hit Noah on the side, he spun from the force and fell to the ground. "Gh!"

Trent blinked at the sight. "Hey man, you alright? Sorry, I may have gotten a bit carried away there" he lightly chuckled before looking down at him.

"Ghh.. gmgmmhmhmhm…" Noah spoke while his face faced the floor.

"Dude, I don't understand you." Trent raised an eyebrow.

Noah raised his head. "I-i s-said… I-i'm fine…" He was breathing heavily still. "I-it s-seems w-without m-my p-power… I don't h-have g-good stamina."

"To be honest Noah, you've never had good stamina." Trent frowned a little.

"I-i can't argue t-there. Let's call it a day…" Noah just laid there.

"Fine fine, come on we can get something to eat, there's a burger stand nearby." Trent smiled as he offered his hand to Noah.

"Ghh sure…" Noah grabbed his hand and was pulled up.

"You really need to get that stamina under control though. Especially when we go for Staci's place." Trent said.

"Well, wouldn't it be easier to just figure out gaining my powers again so if I need stamina I can use that?" Noah asked.

"Both would be better though." Trent started walking.

"Eh… I guess" he walked with.

"Do you think the burgers will taste different here?" Trent asked.

"What do you mean?" Noah frowned.

"Well, a different world, we saw purple cows, maybe they taste different too. Maybe it's not even made of cows, just a thought you know?" Trent continued, perplexed.

"Erm. I think you may be thinking too hard about this. It's just a burger." Noah raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah but like, I want a good burger you know?" Trent smiled as he eyed a nearby burger stand.

"It's just food, Trent. I'll take anything, I'm hungry. Also, do we even have money?" Noah asked.

"That's a good point actually-" He put his hands in his pockets and got out a few gold pieces "Woah… when did these get in here."

"Scarlett must've put them in when you were showering." Noah blinked.

"Good on her." He smiled and inspected the gold pieces. They were indeed gold coins, each worth 1gp in currency, he had 10 of them. "I'm not really sure if this is a lot or not."

Noah shrugged. "Let's find out I guess."

Trent nodded and walked to the burger stand, as they got closer they could smell the delectable aroma of burgers. As soon as they smelt it, their stomachs grumbled.

"Ok, that's a nice smelling burger," Trent admitted.

"Mhmm, it is." Noah walked over and looked up at the purple man at the stand, he was cooking up a few burgers already.

"What can I get you, fellas?" The man inquired.

"Oh, uh" Noah looked at the menu, it was just a regular menu you'd find even on earth. "I guess a cheeseburger." He looked at Trent.

"I'll have one too" Trent smiled.

The guy nodded and started preparing their meals. "That'll be 5 silver pieces."

Trent raised an eyebrow. "Uh, is this enough?" He showed him one of the gold pieces.

The guy's eyes widened. "Wow- I mean. Yeah, that should be enough." He takes the gold piece and makes them a burger.

The two take their burgers and said their thanks, they started to walk back.

Noah was thinking for a moment as they walked, he then whispered to Trent. "Hey, I think that guy may have ripped us off."

"Why do you say that?" Trent whispered back.

"I have a feeling that's all…"

"Well, what do we do?" Trent asked.

"Don't think we can do much now… I need to ask Scarlett about these coins." He bit into his burger. "Wow ok, that is good" Noah gave a small smile before chowing down.

"Calm down there man, it's our dinner." Trent chuckled.

"Hey, I haven't had something close to proper food in ages, I'm taking it." Noah continued chomping down.

Trent smiled and started eating as well, they sat down on a wall nearby.

"I have no idea if this is actually beef but I like it" Trent smiled and bit more into the burger.

As they continued to eat Trent looked at Noah curiously.

Noah raised an eyebrow at him. "What is it?"

"Is something the matter? You have that face."

"That… face?" Noah frowned.

"Yeah, that face you make then you're concerned about something. I'm not sure how to describe it" Trent looked at him concerned.

"I'm not fully sure what you're talking about." Noah frowned more.

"Hey, you can tell me what's up. We're friends right?"

"Yeah I guess so…" Noah sighed. "Fine. Ever since I read that book about Dave something has been on my mind."

"Which is?" Trent blinked.

"Well. We don't know the time range of everything. There's a high chance Emma could've been sent back thousands of years and is long gone now. Same with Owen as well." He sighed.

"That's understandable to worry about man. But…" He put his hand on Noah's shoulder. "Worrying about it won't change anything now. Who knows, maybe they are already around or even not here yet. We could be in their past, crazy huh?"

"Hm.. yeah I guess so." He looked down a bit.

"How about this, we can ask Scarlett about any medical records she has or graveyards or whatever, they might know where Emma is buried if she was here before us. Worst-case scenario, she's gone but we have closure, best case, she could be here!" He smiled brightly at the thought.

"That's… not that bad of an idea actually. Wow." Noah perked up a little. "Sure, let's go ask." He finished up his burger.

Trent smiled and they headed back.

When they returned they saw in the main room, Scarlett chilling and drinking some tea.

"Taking a break?" Noah asked.

"Mhm," She nodded. "You guys smell of fast food, I see you found the money in your pockets, Trent."

"Oh, yeah thanks for that." He smiled and then looked directly at her. "We have a question."

"Go on." She said.

"Do you possibly have any records of the deaths of people in this world? Like a central area or something?"

She placed her mug down and put her hand to her chin. "Hmm not really no, we have a graveyard though, you can check there. I'm guessing you're curious who has already passed. Though bear in mind you won't find much in this graveyard, the world is big after all. Not everyone is buried in this one graveyard."

"Hm, well at least we may find some answers," Noah said.

She nodded. "Fair enough, There's a church on the other side of town, just follow the northern road, you'll find it. There's a graveyard nearby."

Noah returned a nod. "Alright let's go." He started walking out.

Trent followed.

"Wait. One more thing. Scarlett how many silver pieces make a gold piece?" Noah asked.

"Oh, 100 silvers to make a gold, why?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, no reason." He headed out.

Trent chuckled to himself a bit as they walked out.

"Damnit. I knew it." Noah said defeated.

"Well, it happens Noah..."

"Yeah, Trent. It really does." He said as he covered his face a bit.
