Chapter 458.

"The Christening of Baby Lucas."
- In collaboration with Vasmasdas1.

(January 24. The Loud House.)

The whole house is looking alive for this Sunday, as all the louds are all getting dressed to look good for the day. Why? Because today is the day when Lucas Henvers gets baptized.

The Rosato's car is parked outside the house and the Rosato parents are also helping with the girls who need to get dressed and also waiting for them to go to the church as well.

Lisa is already in her fancy dress, and Michelle is also dressed for the big event, and she helps dress up Lily in a lovely magenta dress with black shoes. "You look so adorbs, Lily." Lily giggles at this and Michelle carries her down stairs with Lisa following.

The twins are both done with dressing up and Lola looks to herself. "Looking good, Lols. Sure wish I could wear this every day, because I looks so stylish and good." She then turns to her twin. "How're you handling there, Lans?"

Lana goes towards her and doesn't look happy with the blue dress she has to wear. "I feel like this isn't good for me. I mean, I wore the pink towel when I helped Lincoln for the Dairyland tickets, but I did not wanna wear this again, even if it is my color."

Lola understands, her sister is not used to outfits like this. "Lana, I know you don't like to dress up like this. But just recall why we're doing this."

Lana then recalls. "Oh, right. Okay, okay. I guess I'll stick to this and go with it. You think we can go to Burpin' Burger when the whole thing is over?"

"No clue." Lola and Lana then walk out of the room and down the stairs to wait for the others.

Still in their room are Metapod, along with Hops, El Diablo, Izzy, Charles, Cliff, Geo, Walt's and Della and all of them are playing cards, but for some reason Metapod won. How?!

Lucy looks to herself in the mirror at her black dress that is the same thing she wore from when she recited her poem in front of everyone in the Royal Woods Theater and she sighs seeing herself. "I don't have trouble wearing this dress. I like it, a lot. But I really don't like going to the place where the whole thing is going on."

Lynn then goes towards her and she's in her red dress. "Hey Luce, don't make it sound like a bad thing."

"Sounds like one to me" said Lucy. "The church thing is not something I am accustomed to and surely not what most folks would think of me. Why can't I just be here and be there in spirit instead?"

Lynn can understand Lucy, she also wishes she could continue with her soccer practice, but she knows that what's about to happen today is important. "Lucy, we're going for one reason and you know who that reason is, right?"

Lucy recalls. "Sigh. I guess you're right. It would be rude for me not to come and be there."

Lynn smiles hearing this. "Good to see you in the supporting mood. Now come on, let's go." They both walk out of the room, and Lucy had to tell Fangs to stay home, and keep an eye on the other bats, especially the pregnant ones.

Luan and Leni are both getting dressed in what they wear when they have to go to an event and be fancy. "Hmm, didn't think I'd wear this dress again" said Luan. "But then again, we have to look the part to be there for the little guy."

"Totes." Leni has her dress on and goes over to Luan and helps tie the ribbon behind her. "This is all for the little bundle of joy, Lucas. He's going to have his first time to be…. What was that word they said?"

"Christening, that's what it's called" replied Luan. "But at times, most call it Baptized. Even though you are not the same old Leni, some big words still hard for ya?"

Leni smirks. "Yeah, I have trouble with most subjects, but I try my best and ask Lisa when it gets too hard for me to figure out." She then finishes up in helping Luan. "Alright, we're all done. Now let's go." They both walk out of the room and head downstairs.

They walk by the room of Lincoln and Luna. Inside, Lincoln is in his fancy orange shirt and Jordan is there helping him straighten the tie and Luna is fixing up his hair. "You know, I could do this myself."

"We know little bro." Luna then stands back and looks to her brother. "We just wanna help make you look even better and the hair is all done, even though it looks the same. Still looks kinda good."

"Just let us do this, so the whole get up won't turn so bad for ya." Jordan then fixes his tie and then the collar of his orange fancy polo. "Also, you look kinda dashing in this." she then kisses his cheek.

Lincoln smiles. "Thanks for the comment girls." He then looks to the mirror and smiles at the way he looks. "Well, I do look good and this is all for the one big event for us. When we all go and be witnesses to the Christening of little Lucas Henvers."

Jordan stands next to him and so does Luna and then the eagles and they all look to the mirror. "Yup, this is gonna be an eventful day for all of us to remember and always cherish. The day the little bundle of joy gets baptized" said Jordan.

"Look how far you two have come since you and the little trash bag Pokèmon saved the little dude" said Luna. "Dang proud of you two and how close Lucas is with the two of ya. Sure wish Sam was here to be part of this, but she and the fam have some elders to check on someplace else."

"It's alright Luna" replied Lincoln. "Just as long as we're all there for Lucas and his mom, that's all that matters." He then checks his watch. "Well, let's get going."

They all walk out of the room and get down stairs and meet up with the rest of the family. Lynn Sr notices Lincoln and his light blue tie.

"Hey there sport. Didn't think of you as a tie kinda guy."

"Well, I am trying to look fancy for this big event" replied Lincoln.

Lynn Sr then has an idea. "You know, if you want. You can borrow some of my ties!"

Lincoln then recalls his ties and he sees the rest of the family telling him to not do it. Lincoln then looks back to his dad. "Sorry, but I think I'm good."

Lynn Sr is a bit disappointed, but he understand and this puts some relief into the others. They do not need a hoarder of ties in the house, too many ties to bind with that one! Ha! Get it? Anyone?

The eagles along with Raptor and Apollo get ready and they take to the skies to follow them to the church and make sure no one ruins the whole event.

They all board their respective vehicles and drive off, for the Christening of Lucas Henvers.

Then Lana asks. "What the heck is a Christening anyway?"

(St. Herald's Church.)

As soon as they arrive, they see Hope, Gretchen, Ryan, Delilah and her mom and the Warwick and Pertland parents also there, and even Lori is there in her fancy dress. She's got one day off from school work and is ready for this little baby and his Christening. Even though she was barely there when they met the little guy.

And with them is the baby they have all been waiting for, Lucas Henvers and with him is his mother, Jillian Henvers and they also look fancy for this event.

Jillian wearing a light blue dress with some lovely floral designs and Lucas in a white shirt and black shorts with little white socks. Kinda makes him almost like a baby panda.

Trubbish is also there, and for some reason this Abomasnow is outside the church and wearing shades. Wait, why the heck is he there?

The louds and Rosato's go towards them and greet Lori, but Lincoln and Jordan go towards Lucas and the baby smiles and reaches for them.

"He's always eager and happy to see the two of you." Jillian kneels down so Lincoln and Jordan can look to the infant, and Lucas holds their hands and smiles.

"Hey there Lucas, you ready for today little buddy?" asked Lincoln. The baby laughs and looks to Lincoln with a smile and then reaches for his face, and so Lincoln lets the baby touch his nose.

Jordan kisses his cheek and this makes the baby giggle. "Today is the day Lucas. Today is the day you get baptized, we're so happy for you." Lucas smiles and claps his hands.

Jillian smiles seeing this. 'How far have we come to this moment, and I never thought we would find a good family, even though they aren't of our blood. They are still such nice people.'

Then Lynn sees the Abomasnow. "What the heck is that big guy doing here?"

"Oh, well turns out he's also with Jillian and Lucas" replied Delilah. "I guess you can say that Trubbish is Lucas' little buddy and Abomasnow is the buddy and protector to the Henvers family. Ever since Leslie Silver."

"Wicked" replied Lucy. She then looks to the church and the statue of Christ outside the church. 'I really wish I wasn't here right now. But this is all for Lucas, so get it together Lucy.'

Lynn notices this and whispers to Lucy. "Luce, just hang in there. Remember why we're here."

Lucy recalls and she tries to hold her own. "I'll try."

They all walk inside to being the christening ceremony, and the man in charge of the place is Roland P. Chisel. (We all know who this guy is!)

Pretty soon, it was time to baptize the little baby, and Lincoln and Jordan and the louds and Rosato's stand by Jillian's side as the priest does his prayer and pours some water onto the baby's forehead.

Lucas seems uncomfortable at his position and feels like crying, but Lincoln and Jordan hold his little feet and this makes him feel better and try to handle this whole thing. Lucy can see the upset look on the baby. 'Yeah, I feel you're uneasiness too, Lucas.'

Wallace and Amity Warwick along with Jacob and Daisy Pertland smile seeing this whole thing, it brings back good memories of when they did the same thing with Gretchen and Hope, back when they were babies too.

Delilah takes a few snapshots of this moment, for the albums of the Louds, Rosato's and for Jillian to keep and remember the big family that came together for this little ones moment in church.

Pretty soon the whole thing is over and they all walk out of the church and much to Lucy's relief. They walk towards the rides, but look towards Lucas who is happy and still has no clue what just happened.

"Congrats little dude" said Luna as she kisses his forehead. "You have just been baptized."

"He looked so cute with that outfit of his, literally adorbs" replied Lori. She takes some pics of Lucas.

Jillian smiles at her baby and how happy he is, she then goes towards Lincoln and Jordan. "May I speak with you two?" The duo are confused, but they follow her to the nearby bench and she lets Lucas sit in between them and he smiles seeing his mom and the two preteens.

"So, what's on your mind, Mrs. Henvers?" asked Jordan. She then holds Luca's hand and he plays with her hand.

"Well, I just wanna say how thankful I am on how far it has been since you both have found my baby and helped take care and kept a close eye on him." Jillian explained. "I don't know what else to do or how else to be grateful at how much this all means to me, to see Lucas back with me after that idiot of a husband of mine took him away and left him alone."

"You both are truly good parents for the future, and very kind-hearted and good souls when helping others and handling those who tried to bring harm to those closest to the both of you. I don't know what would've happened if Trubbish never got your attention and found my Lucas." They look to Lucas who smiles at the trio.

"And so that is why, I wish to make the two of you the legal Godparents to Lucas."

Lincoln and Jordan are stunned by this news, and it feels like time stopped for them. "W-What?"

Jillian then boops her baby's nose and this makes him play with her hand.

"Lucas has grown fond of the two of you and he feels truly close to the ones who saved his life. I have seen how much you two try to keep him safe and make him happy, and even went into full defensive mode when Leslie Silver tried to take him away, and so I made the choice to have you both be the godparents to my little one."

"Will you two….?"

"Yes!"

This shocks Jillian. "Oh wow. Okay then. I guess that's settled." Jillian then let's them hold her son and he smiles seeing the two preteens.

Lincoln and Jordan look to Lucas and kiss his forehead and cheeks. "You hear that Lucas? We're you godparents now, which means we'll be there when you need some good and familiar company" said Jordan.

"And no matter what happens, no matter what dangers or odds get in our way. We'll be there to keep you and your mom safe, and that's a promise." Lincoln then hugs the baby and he hugs him back.

The others heard this and are both shocked and proud at the role Lincoln and Jordan have been given.

Luna smiles seeing this. 'Just like when mom and dad made me the guardian for Lincoln and when the Rosato's did the same for Jordan and me. Good job you two, I'm dang proud of you both.'

Jillian smiles at the happiness on her child's face. 'I think I made the right choice. They have always been there to go against the odds and keep each other, their friends and family safe, and I know they're love will go on and show how much they can be good parents in the future.'

Jillian goes over and hugs them both and they too hug her. A good moment for the little baby, Lucas and his now legal godparents, Lincoln Loud and Jordan Rosato.

To be continued…..

A/N: I would like to thank my good buddy "Vasmasdas1" for making this happen with the idea and concept and I hope this was okay, buddy? I did what I could and it only took me less than 25 minutes to make too and I can't wait for what happens in the future for them and the little baby, Lucas Henvers. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
