A/N: Italics are the flashback and irs in first person from CJ's point of view. Just a heads up.
"What was Adam pestering you about earlier?" Dean asked, looking to his left to watch as his girlfriend continued typing on her phone.
"He was curious as to how my first time happened." She stated casually and, although he had his assumptions, he couldn't help but be curious about what she meant. But she didn't provide further elaboration, continuing to type something. "When are we telling the world about Olive?"
"I'll get with Seth, since he has a say in this too, and we can all decide on a time."
"Sounds good." She mumbled, looking up at him as she finally set her phone on the nightstand. "Sorry, I was emailing the photographer back about scheduling Olive's three and six month photos."
"It's cool, baby." He assured, smiling and pushing her hair back. "First time doing what, if I might ask?"
"First time having sex."
"Who was your first?" He asked, watching as she turned to lay on her side and propped herself up on her arm.
"I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours."
"I don't think I remember her name. Losing my virginity was only a big deal to me for about a week because I could finally say that I got laid."
"Girls weren't falling at your feet back then?" She asked with a small smile, but he saw the skepticism in her face.
"Nope. I was a skinny fuck before I started wrestling, and I wasn't cool either so there was that." He informed, scooting closer and taking one of her small feet into his hand to massage it. "I think her name was Stacie?"
"Jay."
"Pardon?"
"My first was Jay." She elaborated, smiling at the surprised look on his face. "Adam found out at the airport."
"When was this?"
"Ten years ago, and I can assure you that any and all romantic feelings towards him have evaporated. He's just my dorky uncle-slash-brother thing." CJ assured, bringing her hand to rest on his chest. He covered her much smaller hand with his own, guiding it to his lips so he could kiss her fingertips.
"How'd it happen?"
"What do you mean?"
"Did you guys say 'let's have sex' and go bang or was it more...planned?" He asked, unsure of why this topic was so interesting to him but so curious as to what happened between his future fiancé and the man who he assumed would be around them and their daughter often. It wasn't that he didn't trust Jay, since he obviously had his own happy family and wasn't waiting for her to be single, but he was a bit jealous that they'd be connected by the fact that Jay slept with CJ.
"It wasn't either of those, really." She murmured, thinking back to how it all happened.
"Will you tell me how it came about? You don't have to tell me about the sex, but I'd like to know the backstory to the sex."
"Alright, but I don't want jealous Ambrose coming out after this so keep in mind that this all happened ten years ago."
"You have my word, Christina." Dean promised, smiling when she nodded.
"Alright." She murmured, shutting her eyes for a moment. "It was my spring break so Adam took me on the road with him and we were in Green Bay..."
"That wasn't so bad." Jay commented as we left the theater. He had forced me into seeing a scary movie and I was absolutely terrified throughout the whole thing. There was a murderer and yeah- just awful. Don't watch it.
"It was terrible. What if that happened to me tomorrow?"
"It wouldn't, because Adam and I don't let you out of our sight while you're with us." He reasoned, looking down at the me while he spoke. While we continued down the sidewalk, I was thinking about what he said but still worried about dying young. With my social skills I figured that I'd be a virgin until I was thirty, or forever, and I had come to terms with that. But with dying young on my mind and the possibility of a masked murderer claiming me as his next victim weighing heavily on my mind, I decided that I didn't want to be a virgin anymore. I didn't want to die a virgin, because that would've been lame.
"What's on your mind?" He asked quietly when we stopped and waited for the crosswalk signal. I glanced up at him briefly before looking to see that the man on the signal was lit up and gently tugged him into the crosswalk with me. "Don't dodge-"
"I wasn't." I assured, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze as we walked. "Thinking about how to word it in the least awkward way."
"Just come out and say it. I'm not gonna judge." I looked up at him, trying to figure out if he meant it because I always silently questioned whether or not he meant it when he said he wouldn't judge. I didn't trust anybody back then.
"It's actually a bit embarrassing."
"Trust me." He said softly, pushing the up button to call the elevator.
"I do- I just..."
"You just...?" He mimicked, trying to get me to finish my dented.
"I don't wanna die a virgin." CJ whispered, meeting his gaze. He didn't say anything as we walked on the elevator and I was feeling nervous about telling him that I was a virgin. Sure it was expected since I hated other people my age and didn't go out, but it didn't seem like something you tell your dad's best friend.
"You're not going to die a virgin, sweet pea."
"You don't know what the future holds, I could die..." I trailed off when Jay gently cupped my cheek, and stroked it with his thumb. "Jay?"
He didn't respond. Instead, he tipped my head back just a bit before pressing his lips to mine in my first kiss, ever. I had always wondered what it would be like to kiss Jay, and I got what I wanted and wasn't disappointed. I was kind of in shock, too, and couldn't believe it this was happening. But it was still amazing.
"We can continue this or act like it never happened. Your call." He whispered, making eye contact with me while I tried to make sure that this was really happening. Once it registered that he was offering to take my virginity, I blushed before standing on my tip toes to kiss him again. My second kiss ever.
"I want this." I murmured, smiling up at him. I felt so special with the way he was looking at me and I wanted him so bad. But I was scared at the same time because I heard that losing your virginity hurt.
"You're sure?" He asked, and I think he was giving me an out just in case I lost my nerve. But I wasn't going to because I wanted it and I didn't want him to think I was a baby.
"Positive."
"Alright." With that he unlocked the door and gently pulled me inside.
"...and then we had sex." CJ finished with a small smile, looking over to her boyfriend who was watching with an interested look on his face.
"Had sex, or made sweet love?" Dean asked, teasing smirk on her face while she rolled her eyes.
"The second one." She sighed, scooting over to lay her head on his chest. His hand came to rest on her back, gently rubbing in a circular motion, while his other hand held onto hers tightly. "I still don't know how Adam didn't find out until today. Jay and I dated and everything."
"For how long?"
"A little under a year. But he was going to TNA and I was going to wrestle on the indies for a while so we decided to break up."
"Wow. Is that part of why you're so close?"
"Yeah. Jay was the first person to really treat me as an adult and not some kid, but he made me feel special at the same time. That's all I ever really wanted back then was to feel special for being who I was and not because Edge was my dad." Dean nodded his understanding, kissing her head while they laid there. The silence between them wasn't at all uncomfortable. Since Dean was leaving in the morning, CJ just wanted to savor having him with her because she wasn't sure how well she'd sleep without him there with her.
Her phone ringing startled both of them, since nobody called her at two in the morning. She didn't want to answer it, especially when she saw who was calling.
"Your ringtone is my entrance theme?" Dean asked, small smile on his face when she nodded and sat up to answer the phone.
"What do you want?" She asked, obviously irritated and Hunter looked to Stephanie with a smirk on his face.
"I see that having a baby didn't make you any less of a spitfire, little girl." He commented, making Stephanie look at him in concern.
"Don't piss her off, Hunter." She scolded, going to their closet to get ready for the day. He only rolled his eyes, waiting for the stunned silence on CJ's end to dissipate. Dean could be heard asking what was wrong, but CJ wasn't answering him.
"Dean, relax." She spoke quietly, but Hunter heard the deep breath on her end. "How the hell did you find out?"
"Ambrose is going on paternity leave after Christmas. Did you think that Vince wouldn't tell us?"
"Fair enough. Now, what the hell do you want?"
"I want you back in the ring."
"Tough shit."
"I know you need to train away the ring rust when you're fully healed from giving birth, but I want you with Ambrose this weekend. Steph wants to hold your baby. Boy or girl?"
"Girl."
"What's her name?"
"Olivia Addison." CJ stated, and her distaste for the conversation was made obvious but Hunter didn't care. "Now, as much as I'd love to put my three week old baby on a plane and be with my boyfriend longer than two days a week, I'm entertaining family and it'd be rude to leave them alone."
"Raw will be in Vegas, and I'd like to see you, and your baby, there. Hell, bring Adam and everyone else too."
"I'll think about it."
"You don't have a choice, Copeland." Hunter spoke with a grin, knowing that CJ was rolling her eyes."You're at Raw, or Ambrose can kiss his paternity leave goodbye."
"You can't do that." Stephanie whispered, now fully dressed and throwing clothes at his head. "She knows you can't do that, Hunter."
"First of all, I know you don't have the balls to do that because you know we'd sue the company. Second, I'll be there. Third; if anything happens to me, Dean, or our daughter I will not hesitate to kick your ass and then I will sue your ass for everything I can get. Fourth, I want my own area to sit in backstage and nobody is allowed to know that I'm there." She warned before hanging up on him, leaving Hunter to stare at his wife. Stephanie looked unimpressed with his tactics, but he grinned before pushing his jeans off his shoulder.
"She'll be there. Of course, like always when dealing with Copelands, there were conditions that'll make this a bit tricky with whatever vendettas are currently backstage."
"Like?"
"Nobody can harm her, Dean, or their daughter and nobody is allowed to know she's there until they see her."
"Well, it's not like we wanted her for the show. We need to talk her into coming back." Stephanie reasoned, walking to their bathroom while Hunter started to get dressed. "We need more women with substance."
"We need wrestlers, not models." He corrected, following her into the bathroom. "Chris just happens to be good at both wrestling and modeling."
"Don't tell her that to her face, she'll get insulted."
"Absolutely not." Dean declined as CJ plugged her phone in and she huffed.
"Why not?"
"I don't trust them. Their word doesn't mean dick to me." He reasoned, looking her dead in the eye. He knew that talking to Hunter had ruffled her feathers, and that this argument could wait so that he didn't further ruffle her feathers, but he couldn't let her think that he was okay with that. Feeding his future wife and their daughter to the wolves? Fuck that. "You hate them."
"You'd give up spending time with your daughter because Hunter can't be trusted long enough for Stephanie to hold our baby?"
"If it meant keeping you and our bundle of joy safe, then yes." He stated firmly, his heart hurting with every word uttered. He didn't want to miss a thing, but he wasn't letting CJ go to the show and he definitely wasn't letting her take their daughter.
"So you'd rather miss out on her growing than be there for it?"
"Damnit, Christina, that's not what I said."
"That's what you mean when you say that you'd give up your paternity leave for such a stupid reason."
"So keeping you safe is a stupid reason?"
"Compared to being around for your daughter, yes it is." She snapped, laying back down and turning so her back was to him.
"You're really acting like this right now?" He asked, staring at her back while he watched her shoulders shrug. "Darlin', I-"
"Save it. Go to bed, Dean. You have a flight to catch in the afternoon."
"I made this decision because I love you and our baby too much to let something happen to you. Remember that."
"If you loved us, you'd take one for the team, put your opinion away, and just let me handle this so you could have two uninterrupted months with us." She retorted before pulling the blanket over her head. "Now let me go to bed, since I take care of our daughter while you're gone and you're leaving tomorrow."
"Babe-"
"Go to bed, Dean."
She's really pissed. He thought to himself, laying down and staring at her back. He wasn't going to sleep well knowing that she was mad at him, so he inched closer and pulled the blanket down before draping his arm across her waist.
"Ambrose-"
"I'm not letting you go to bed pissed off at me without trying to do something about it because it wouldn't be good for either of us. So you can huff and puff all you want, but I'm not moving. I'm here for you and I'm not backing off."
"Stop being cute."
I actually started to write out Jay and CJ's first time and it was supposed to be a chapter of its own, but it's looking like its going to be a oneshot because of how long it's gotten because it's honestly taken on a life of its own. If any of you lovely readers find that interesting at all.
Anyways, thank you to Sammie94, ArtisticLullaby, TajiaK, ChelleLew, UntilNeverDawns, calwitch, justisgirl, LeahMarie, Sarcastic Nightmare, and Deanambrosesmile for reviewing the last chapter! I really appreciate it!
