Author's Notes
Hi All! Finally a new chapter after ages! Hope you like this one ^^
Still a little shakey and rusty so don't mind me! I'll probably get properly back into it in a few chapters! Enjoyy
Dwayne was rolling around his bed a bit, moving frantically.
"No.. no.. don't ah ahahhhhhh!" he sprung up and looked around sporadically and let out a sigh.
"Oh… it was just a dream." He blinked and looked around. Luckily for him, it was morning, he looked over to the clock and saw it was around 7am.
"Jeez, dude…" Trent said as sat up from his bed, clearly super tired still after being woken up by the loud middle-aged man.
"Sorry, Trent! It's just.. Those stories that Leonard told last night gave me the creeps! They really just gave me nightmares…"
Trent sighed and stretched his arms. "Gh.. yeah yeah.. Well.. Don't worry ok, man? They are just stories, Leonard is just messing with y-"
"I'm not messing with you at all!" Leonard shouted from his bed. "Those were real stories.. From the great beyond! From the great chasms of hell!"
"Right right.. Hell, got it." Trent blinked.
"See? I told you it was real!" Dwayne said he was shaking in fear.
"It's ok Dwayne, just focus on what we need to do ok?" Trent looked at him, he seemed a bit worried for the man, he had his own thoughts on the matter.
"Ok ok.." Dwayne let out a deep breath. "Ok.. I.. think I'm calm…"
"Fellas?" Leonard spoke.
"Hm? What is it, Leonard?" Trent looked over.
"Do you smell that? It smells like a sus domesticus…" Leonard sniffed in the air, lifting up his head.
"A what?" Trent raised an eyebrow.
"A.. s.. Something" Dwayne was confused.
"Oh, you mortals call them pigs." Leonard grinned.
"Oh, so bacon?" Trent got out of bed and sniffed the air. "Oh yeah.. It does smell like bacon…" He sniffed around like a dog. "I think it's coming from the kitchen.." He walked over and opened the door.
As soon as he opened it, the kitchen was nice and bright, all he saw inside was Scarlett in an apron cooking up some bacon, eggs, sausages and some toast for the guys.
"Oh hello Trent," Scarlett said and gave a tiny smile before working.
"Heh, cute apron you got there" Trent chuckled as he looked at it. It said the words 'Not yet, Not yet, Not yet.' on it. "Where'd you get it from?"
"Eh… It was a gift from an old friend.." She looked a bit sad as she had memories of a specific black haired male.
Noticing her sadness, he changed the subject "Scarlett…. How long have you been awake for?"
"Only like an hour. I just thought I'd prep some stuff for you guys, after all, it's going to be a long journey." She smirked and then plated all the stuff. "Luckily you caught me just as I was done."
"O? What's in the- eggs!" Dwayne shouted as he popped his head in. "Huh? Why are the sausages green?"
"Green pigs, green sausages," Scarlett smirked.
"The pigs are green here? What's next, brown chickens?" Dwayne said.
"I think chickens are brown in our world Dwayne" Trent blinked.
"Oh." Dwayne blinked back and then looked at Scarlett.
"Oooo Do you have any ham? I'd love some green ham and eggs!" Dwayne smiled brightly and watched.
"What's going on in there!" Leonard shouted.
"Food is ready!" Trent shouted back.
"Ohh!"
The sounds of rapid footsteps were heard and then suddenly Leonard popped his head in the kitchen.
"Salutations" He grinned.
Scarlett blinked and looked at them. "Let me just bring it to you guys ok?"
The gang nodded and went off to sit down at the table.
After a moment, Scarlett was seen coming into the main room and placing the plates down. "There, you need all the energy you can get."
"Heh, you sound like a mother Scarlett" Dwayne chuckled.
She frowned. "Please don't compare me to a mother." She blinked.
"Awh it's a compliment though! Mothers are great! They are one of the most important people in your life!" Dwayne grinned.
She shrugged. "Eh, just don't imagine myself being a mother."
"Oh? How come?" Trent asked.
"Well… I don't know really, just kids never really interested me I guess… Plus, would I want kids? We don't even know if we can ever truly get out of this place and to be honest.. It seems so dangerous here that I don't think I'd be comfortable having kids with someone…"
"Oh oh! Plus! Can you even have kids with the other mortals here?" Leonard asked.
"Oh.. you mean procreation.. Well.. I haven't tried so I wouldn't know." Scarlett tried to hide a blush.
"Maybe you could create some human-alien hybrids…" Leonard said as he smirked.
"Aliens?" Scarlett raised an eyebrow. "How long have you been here? A few months? Maybe a year? You don't even know their species name?"
"I just thought they were aliens too, to be honest," Dwayne said.
Scarlett sighed. "If anything, WE'RE the aliens. We are in THEIR world.. Just be glad they don't treat outsiders as bad as we do back in our world."
"So what are they called exactly?" Trent asked.
"Well. The dominant species in this area are called Atidians though most just call them Atids for short." She answered.
"What about the skin colour? Does that make any difference? I've seen blue, purple, red and green out there" Trent asked.
She shook her head. "Not really no. Think of it like race is for humans. They look different but they are all Atids. Just skin colour features differ. Really other than the different looks, they pretty much function like humans. Two legs, two arms. The only differences I've seen other than the obvious would be they live around 300 years on average and have a bit of a higher variance when it comes to height. Most grow between 3 foot and 10 foot."
"You ever find it weight they speak English here?" Dwayne said. "British Empire in my documentaries always said that they took a lot of land. Who knew they came here as well" Dwayne looked around a bit.
Scarlett questioned if he was joking or not. "Uh… well basically the language thing.. That's another difference. They have this subconscious ability to make anyone they talk to understand them and vice versa. Pretty cool actually. So don't really expect anyone to speak any other language really."
"Oh? Can they talk to animals then?" Trent asked curiously.
"Only works for intelligent animals," Scarlett said, kinda questioning if Max would even fit in the category of 'intelligent' "But.. anyway, we still got a break in to do, don't we?"
"Wait wait wait, there are plenty of humans around isn't there, the total drama cast?" Leonard said. "Still a few mates!" Leonard grinned.
She frowned. "Pfft. No chance, weirdo."
"I didn't mean me! Foul witch!" Leonard scrambled a bit.
Trent blinked and laughed embarrassed. "Come on now, let's keep it PG ok?" Trent chuckled as he started eating.
"Just.. finish your meals ok?" Scarlett said.
Noah was still punching the wall.
"Ghhh.. ghhh… ghhh.. Ghhh!" His fist was completely bloody now, it was sure he had broken a few knuckles by now but he just wouldn't stop. It was like nothing but pure rage was happening.
Meanwhile, the samurai started coming down the stairs to his cell.
"You're still going? You really are determined huh…" He said as he walked over.
He frowned as he watched Noah punching. "What are you achieving exactly?"
"I… don't even know anymore.." Noah sighed as he continued to punch.
"Are you trying to… end it? Because there are better ways to do that you know.." The samurai frowned. "Perhaps just a stress relief? I can get you a stress ball or something."
"Gr… stop mocking me," Noah growled a bit.
"Oh wow.. Feisty.." The samurai stared. "Well? What is your plan here."
"I…" Noah slammed the wall again and kept going, he could feel the last bits of energy just running out as his body just gave out on him. The samurai just watched as he fell to the ground.
"Pfft." The samurai just watched as he lay there. He didn't even check if he was still alive or not.
"You'll be fine." He walked off.
Noah just laid there for now. In silence. His eyes closed.
"Ghh.." Noah let out a groan.
"Hm?" The samurai looked back. "What is it?" He frowned.
Noah just laid there in silence.
"Guh.." The samurai sighed as he walked to the cell door and unlocked it. He then proceeded to go inside and walk to the guy.
He looked down and lightly kicked him. "Hey. Get up."
Noah just had no reaction.
The samurai crouched down at the Indian and frowned more. "Hey."
Suddenly Noah glowed and he sprung up a bit, punching the samurai into the wall.
"G-gh!" The samurai slammed into the jail bars, bending them a bit. He looked on and saw Noah standing there, his aura back.
"Hey.." Noah smirked.
"S-since when did you have your powers.." The samurai groaned as he got off the bars, he clicked his back and shoulders and then looked back at Noah.
"Well.."
Flashback
Noah was punching the wall last night.
"You see.. As I was continuously punching the wall.. I started to learn about myself.. The pain, the practice of punching… it just felt like my anger and determination was really fueling me, I could feel that same feeling inside me just coming out."
He looked down at his arm and saw it glowing a bit, he closed his eyes and continued punching the wall, the aura slowly becoming bigger and bigger.
Flashback End
"And now.. I know how to summon it.." Noah smirked.
"Pfft. Just because you know how to summon it doesn't mean you know how to truly use that power of yours." The samurai blinked as he drew his katana. "I ask you to stand down Noah."
Noah shook his head. "No.. this is my only chance to get out now." He clenched his fist.
"And I'm going to take it." He dashed at the samurai.
There was a knock at the door, the whole gang at the table instantly looked over to the front door.
"Are we expecting people?" Leonard asked.
"Ah! They are here" Scarlett smiled and cupped her hands over her mouth. "Come in!"
The door was heard open and a familiar face walked in".
"Geoff!" Dwayne shouted happily.
"Hey dudes and dudette" He tipped his hat. "Scarlett told us everything and well, we're here to help."
"I thought you didn't really want to leave the world" Trent sad.
"Yeah well, I still think that but.. That doesn't mean we can't help." Geoff smiled.
"Is Bridgette where I told her to be?" Scarlett asked.
Geoff nodded. "Yup! All ready to go"
"Oh before, we start all this, here." Scarlett walked to a box on a shelf and rummaged through.
"Where is it… oh! Here it is" She smiled as she got out a few walkie talkies. "Look what I managed to reinvent." She smirked.
"Reinvent? Can't you just get them at any kids store?" Dwayne blinked.
"Yeah, in our world. In this world, they don't exist" She smirked. "So I reinvented these things so we could communicate while I stay here and act as intelligence."
"Ohhh Sweet!" Dwayne smiled. "Ooo! I could finally be like a commando.."
"Uh… I don't think you should go with them to be honest Dwayne" Scarlett admitted.
"Eh?" He frowned at her. "Why not?"
"Well.. They have powers and such and uh… you don't really.. You'd be better off here, away from the action."
Dwayne looked at her and shook his head. "No, my friend is in trouble and I wont stand back and do nothing about it."
"You won't be standing back though man, you can help Scarlett with whatever she's doing" Trent added.
He shook his head again. "Come on, let me go. I still can do my own things! Plus I was trained alongside everyone else. I know how to fight somewhat." Dwayne said a little more confidently. "Please.."
Scarlett looked at him and sighed. "Fine.. But it's not on me if you get yourself killed or something." Scarlett frowned a bit.
"Yes!" Dwayne smiled.
"You're an honourable man, fellow total drama contestant" Leonard smiled.
Dwayne smiled back.
"Anyway.. there's a good amount for everyone here" She handed the box to the others and watched as they took their's out.
"Hey, Leonard! Go to the other side of the room!" Dwayne smirked.
Leonard nodded and ran to the other side. "Over here!"
"Pstt.. Trent is a lovely guy, over" Dwayne whispers into the mic.
"That is very true" Leonard whispered back into the mic.
"Nonono! You got to say over!" Dwayne frowned.
"Oh do I? Uh over?" Leonard said.
"Guys we should probably get started" Trent chuckled a bit.
"Yeah, who knows what is going on right now" Geoff joined in on the chuckle.
Leonard ran back to the group. "What's the plan then, mortals?"
"Well.." Scarlett smiled.
"The section into the sewers we need to go into is guarded by 2 guards, the door itself is actually locked and needs to be unlocked using the keys which the guards have. There is a little moat and a bridge that leads to that door so Bridgette should be present in that moat along with Geoff. Of course, you guys should be bringing along your equipment."
The gang minus Scarlett were seen behind a building, looking over to the two guards.
Trent nodded at Geoff and he walked towards the entrance where the guards are and saw Bridgette there in the water.
"Hey! There you are! Come here right now!" Geoff shouted aggressively at Bridgette who swam over.
"Are you talking to me, idiot?" She frowned at him.
"Yes, I'm talking to you. I saw you with B earlier! Just making out by Andrei's restaurant! How could you do this to me?!" Geoff looked upset and angry at the same time.
"Woah.. he's good," Dwayne said as he watched them.
They saw as the couple continued to argue loudly. This got the attention of the guards who walked over to the couple.
"Hey hey! Calm down.." One of the guards said.
"No! I won't calm down after seeing this disgusting pig in front of me!" Bridgette shouted, almost in tears.
"And since we don't want any other witnesses to notice, we use the invisibility potions to steal the keys and open the door.."
Trent grabbed the bottle and had a bit of a sip of it, as soon as he did he blinked and suddenly his body completely disappeared, the only thing in sight was the bottle in his hand, he passed it to Leonard who then drank from it.
"W-Woah that tastes weird," Leonard said as he turned invisible too. "Well, here you go" He passed to Dwayne.
"Alright alright!" He smirked and drank it. Turning invisible too.
"Alright let's g- ow!" Trent bumped into Leonard as he stood. "Oh great, I don't see where you guys are.. Uh"
"Let's just try to be careful.." Dwayne said as they tried their best to not hurt each other when walking towards the guard.
Leonard walked behind the 2 guards who were trying to calm down the shouting couple and grabbed the keys from the guard's back pocket. Leonard smirked as he walked to the door of the sewer and opened it slightly, just enough for the rest of the gang to get in.
As soon as they get into the sewer and close the door, Dwayne rummaged through his invisible trousers and tried to get out his now invisible walkie talkie.
"O-oh here!" He grabbed it and spoke into it. "We got into the sewer."
Geoff felt his walkie talkie vibrate and he nodded at Bridgette. "Well… i guess we can sort this out privately…"
"Of course!" Bridgette suddenly smiled. "Awh… I love you"
"I love you too" Geoff smiled back as they went in for a kiss.
The guards blinked and raised an eyebrow at the scene.
Meanwhile, Scarlett smiled to herself.
"Perfect.. Good luck guys!"
She smirked as she prepared herself some food and awaited what was going to happen next.
"This will be a dangerous adventure.. I hope they will be ok.."
