Chapter 479.
"Valentine's Day, and the Middle School Prom."
(Ketcham Park.)
The date is now February 14, which means it is now and officially Valentine's Day and that means gifts are given to those you call your loved ones, or soul mates and there are a lot of them here at the park.
Leni is among the folks there, but she's got something else to deal with, someone who called her to meet at the park for a Valentine's Day surprise.
Leni had just got a lot of Valentine's Day stuff from a ton of boys, and she had to accept some of them, but she cannot be they're Valentine's Day gal, she has to figure that one out and find the guy for her. She did like the chocolates Chaz got her.
Leni then looks to the note and she passes by the roller derby girls with their dates, and then she goes to the bench and waits there for the mystery person. Leni looks around for anyone who might be her mystery Valentine's Day surprise.
'This had better not be some kind of bad guy coming to take me away, and glad I brought a taser with me too.' Then she sees someone. "Wait, Hope Pertland?"
She sees that it is her, Hope Pertland, the friend of Lincoln and Jordan and one of the former rich, mean girls and changed preteen, and all thanks to Gretchen Warwick.
"H-Hi Leni, nice to meet you here." Hope sounds way too nervous, Leni does notice this.
"Well, I did come here to meet with someone who wants to give me a…"
Then Hope hands her some flowers. "H-Happy Valentine's Day, L-Leni." Hope looks away and blushes.
Leni looks at the large assortment of flowers in the bouquet and is amazed. "Wow. That is just… Wow. Hope, thank you and…" Leni then realizes something and she looks to the nervous preteen. "Hope, Hope Pertland. Do you have a crush on me?"
Hope feels tense hearing that and deep down, she feels like making a run for it out of the park and go back home and blush madly on her bed, but she sucks up some courage and nods.
Leni is not surprised. "Well, I kinda knew from the start." This surprises Hope and she looks to the 17 year old girl. "Don't get me wrong, I mean it is sweet that you like me and all… But, we're far apart different and no way a relationship could even work, also I knew you liked me when we interacted the second time and then it became way too obvious when we went to Great Lakes City and you wanted to look like me, am I right?"
Hope sighs. "Yeah, that's all true." She then goes over and sits onto the bench next to Leni, but not too close. "I don't know why this emotion came out… I mean, it all began when we talked and you told me about becoming a better person. Your kind words and heart of gold personality made you stand out."
"Sure you may be pretty on the outside, but I also saw how pretty you were on the inside and that was just something… Something I couldn't get away from. So, that's how my crush on Leni Loud began."
Leni knew she might say that. "You do realize we're not the same age, and I don't share this love for you. I see you as a friend sure, but not like a relationship thing. I'm sorry, Hope."
Hope sighs. "Yeah, I know." She seems upset, but she knew she had no chance for Leni to like her back, she kinda figured that out and knew from the start.
Leni then pulls Hope close to her. "But I do appreciate the flowers, thank you Hope." She then kisses Hope's forehead and then cheek.
Hope blushes bright red and slowly breaths. She looks to Leni, and sees the 17-year olds signature kind-hearted smile. "Happy Valentine's Day Hope." Leni gives her a box of chocolates.
Hope is surprised and she looks back to Leni and also smiles. "Thank you, and Happy Valentine's Day Leni."
The two girls then share some laughs and talk about what they look forward to tonight, because tonight is the Royal Woods Middle School Prom and the Royal Woods High School Prom, and it's gonna be both awesome and romantic.
(Royal Woods Middle School, Nighttime.)
The Middle School is now packed with a ton of preteens and many of them are coming into the school and all dressed to look dang good for this night with those they brought with them as their dates.
Lincoln Loud waits by the front of the school, and wearing his best attire and of course, Leni made it with the help from her friends. Also with him at this moment, is Ryan Rosato, the adopted brother of Jordan Rosato.
Lincoln Loud – a white shirt inside of the blue suit he's wearing that have gold cuffs and an eagle logo on his bow tie, black shoes and his hair slicked back, and he's also wearing the necklace from his date with Jordan.
Ryan Rosato – a light blue suit, with a white shirt inside, and a yellow bow that has the logo of a cherry and black shoes, he also has gold cuffs and his hair is made neat and tidy.
The two boys look to their watches and then look to the roads. "I'm kinda confused why you didn't go with your sister" replied Lincoln.
"Sorry man, but sis told me to come and wait here with you, something about a spectacular and amazing surprise" replied Ryan. Then Harrier sits on his shoulder and he pets the eagle.
Yes, the eagles are here too, except Bullets, he went with Luna to the High School prom with Sam.
They both continue to wait and they greet they're fellow friends and see their dates with them as well.
They have already greeted, Liam and Tabby, Rusty and Polly, Zach and Giggles, Stella and Simon, Lance and Joy, Kat and Trent, Artie and Cookie and of course, Allison and Laurence. The rest are already inside, they came before Lincoln and Ryan did. Even Hope is already inside.
They then look to their phones and see no message. "No nothing, where the heck are they?" asked Ryan. Then he sees something and so does Lincoln.
"That's Gretchen's Limo" replied Lincoln. "Looks like they…" The limo stops and then the door opens and the two boys are amazed at the girls and what they're wearing. Coming out are Jordan Rosato and Gretchen Warwick and both are dressed to look good for their boys.
Jordan Rosato – A yellow strapless dress that reaches her knees and has light blue floral patterns at the bottom of the dress, brown slip-on shoes and yellow elbow-length gloves. Her hair is tied into a ponytail only with no braids and she has a light blue bow holding her hair, she's also wearing the bracelet and necklace that Lincoln got her.
Gretchen Warwick – Wearing a magenta short sleeved dress that reaches above her knees which have white leaf patterns at the bottom of the dress, she's also wearing magenta elbow length gloves and white slip-on shoes and the bracelet Ryan got her last year.
Also, yes they did apply some makeup to look nice.
The sight of the girls they're dating was making them feel so nervous, they could pass out.
The two preteen girls go to their boys and smile, they then strike a pose. "So, how do we look?"
Lincoln and Ryan literally didn't know what else to say but. "Buh… Buh… Buh…"
This makes Jordan and Gretchen giggle and so they go towards the boys and kiss them on the cheek, and this just makes them stiff and blush and then snap out of it and look towards Jordan and Gretchen.
The two girls smirk. "Let's go you two." The girls hold the hands of their dates and they all walk into the school and following behind them are the eagles. Patriot and Valkyrie, Harrier and Nora, Artemis and Raptor and lastly, Freya and Apollo.
Inside: the two couples walk into the gymnasium and are amazed at the setup of the place. They can see hearts, and stars dangling from the ceiling and the color of the rest of the decorations are blue, pink and gold.
Darrel along with Liam and Tabby, are making the music for tonight's event, while Clyde and Chloe check on the food being served and make sure that there's enough for everybody and the eagles fly around and land onto the ceiling supports and watch everyone having their prom night fun.
"Wow! This is amazing! Looks like Clyde, Chloe and the others really did pull through" replied Jordan. She then sees someone. "There's Hope!"
They see Hope Pertland, and she's handling the votes for Prom King and Queen and they go over to greet her and are impressed at what she was wearing for the night.
Hope Pertland – A pink off-shoulder dress that reaches above her knees and has heart patterns around the waist and white leggings underneath, with white shoes and pink elbow-length gloves.
Hope sees the two couples and she smiles and greets them. "Hey you guys, you all look good tonight."
Gretchen chuckles. "Thanks Hope, and we so love the dress you're wearing. Leni made that for you?"
Hope nods. "She did and even though I don't have any date for tonight, it feels good to just help out and it is an honor to be the one to help count all of the votes on who become prom king and queen. You guys wanna vote who you guys want?"
They all nod, and are handed a piece of paper, and the two couples write down who they want to be for tonight's prom king and queen.
They place the paper into the ballot box and they head off to meet with the others. "So, what the heck are we gonna do first guys?" asked Jordan.
Lincoln chuckles. "Does it even matter? This is a night for us to enjoy with the ones we love. So, let's see what he night has for us!"
Everyone else hears this and cheers as well, and they all enjoy the whole event of their Middle School lives, and with those they call their dates.

After an amazing time of just dancing to the cool and wicked beats and of course enjoying the good food made by McBride and Curda, it was time for the big announcement.
As everyone is done dancing they watch as Meryl ad Principal Ramirez go on stage and Hope comes to her and hands her the letter. "Thank you, Ms. Pertland." Principal Ramirez looks to the note and then to the crowd of preteens.
"I would like to thank everyone who came here tonight for some romance and a night of fun, and a big thanks and congratulations to the Foot Ball team who made the win today." The Football team cheer at they're win from earlier.
"That was a good game, but now is the time to be looking forward to the one thing everyone here has been waiting for… Who is tonight's Middle School Prom King and Queen!"
Everyone cheers and are all excited to know who won the title for the big night of their Middle School lives. Allison and Laurence recall that they won last year's Middle School Prom King and Queen Titles and they enjoyed that night together as they danced slowly.
The principal then opens the letter. "And so, tonight's Middle School Prom King and Queen are…" Liam does the drumroll and everyone else is nervous and also excited on who won. Then the principal looks to the letter and sees the two names and smiles. "Simon Sharp and Stella Zhau Gonzales!"
They're all shocked to hear this and the spotlight turns to the duo. Simon and Stella are both shocked beyond their minds. They are now the Middle School Prom King and Queen.
"Come up here yo two, young lovers."
Simon is stunned in place, and so Stella drags him to the stage and everyone around them cheers and claps. Lincoln and Jordan fist bump each other. 'We knew they'd win. We voted for them.'
Simon and Stella are now on stage and Simon snaps out of it and he sees the crown and he picks it up and places it onto Stella's head and she does the same for Simon and the two preteen's chuckle and blush at what they're wearing.
They all cheer at the duo and the Prom king and queen bow, and they get off the stage and they slowly dance to the sound of the soothing and romantic music, then the others join in and this moment turns on the disco bal above all of them.
Letting hearts and stars shine and spin around as those with dates enjoy this moment together.
Ryan slow dances with Gretchen as she rests her head onto his shoulder, and he closes his eyes and takes in this nice and peaceful romantic moment.
The rest of their friends do the same and are all enjoying this moment of romance with each other. Even Delilah dances with Darrel, both of them seem calm and just stare into each other.
Meanwhile, Lincoln and Jordan slow dance with them and with Jordan resting her head onto Lincoln's shoulder. "So, is this the best prom we've ever had?"
Jordan giggles. "Linc, this is our first Middle School prom, and even though it's not like the one from the High School… This is fine with me, just as long as I have you to enjoy it, my handsome white rabbit knight."
Lincoln chuckles and the duo share a small kiss and look to each other. "To the best and first middle school prom of our lives, my dearest rose princess."
They then go back to slowly dancing throughout the night of this Middle School Prom.
