t was the couple's first morning back home for a small vacation. Dean was wide awake with both his girls fast asleep on his chest and he could hear Adam and Beth bustling about in the kitchen downstairs. Bear was laying at the foot of the bed, his head resting on CJ's legs as she slept without budging an inch- even through Olivia's mid-night fussing. His girlfriend took a little fist to the nose and didn't even stir, something that concerned him because she was usually a light sleeper while she slept on her stomach.

Bright blue eyes stared up at him and he smiled as his daughter tried to push herself up but fell back onto his chest. Her eyes never left him, and he gently pushed the little blonde wisps of hair back and out of her eyes so she could see him better and so he got a better view of the eyes she inherited from her mother.

"Good morning, Olivia." He greeted with a small smile, gently nudging her up his body so he could kiss her forehead lovingly. "Hungry, princess?"

The only response he got was some gurgling and he grinned, kissing her head again and getting a giggle from the infant. He loved his little girl with every ounce of his being and there was nothing that he wouldn't do for her. But one thing he didn't like was hearing her cry and that was exactly what happened once she decided that she was hungry. CJ didn't even budge, and that really bothered Dean, but he was quick to guide his girlfriend onto her pillow so that he could sit up with Olivia and take her into the nursery for a diaper change.

After putting her in a fresh diaper and dressing her in just a plain yellow onesie and some yellow and white striped pants, he carried her downstairs where her highchair was ready and waiting for her.

"Morning, all." Dean greeted, smiling at Adam and Beth as they ate breakfast.

"Morning." Beth greeted, since Adam had his mouth full. "Where's Chrissie?"

"Still sleeping like a log. She's probably just catching up from all the mental and emotional exhaustion from Sunday and Monday." Dean explained, smiling as he picked up the bowl of food that Beth had prepared. "Thanks."

"Don't mention it."

He couldn't stop smiling as he fed Olivia. She made little noises and gurgles between bites that made him smile, just awed by the fact that she was his daughter. She looked just like her mother, but most of her actions were like his and he couldn't wait for when she started beating boys up for touching her stuff like he did once he actually learned to fight back.

"Do you always feed your daughter without a shirt on?" Adam asked, earning a swat to the chest from Beth before Dean actually looked over at him.

"Only when her mother is preoccupied by sleep so I don't have the opportunity to put one on." Was his answer before turning back to feet his excited daughter. "That's it, princess. Eat the nummy nanas."

"There's also some other things in it." Beth pointed out and Dean nodded before tasting the homemade mush for himself.

"The banana kinda overpowers the strawberry and whatever else is in it."

"Banana is just an overpowering flavor, I guess."

Dean watched curiously as CJ continued to sleep. It was now ten thirty in the morning and she hadn't even budged since he had gotten out of bed with Olivia at eight thirty. He could understand wanting to catch up on sleep after WrestleMania, but she'd never slept in like this before. Nor has she ever slept through Olivia's cries, especially when they were right next to her ear. This wasn't like her at all and he was concerned, to say the very least.

"Is she still sleeping?" Beth asked from behind him, taking Olivia when Dean turned to face her.

"Like the dead. I know she's alive, because I can see her breathing, but she's never done this before."

"She's been sleeping for fourteen hours straight."

"This can't be healthy, Beth."

"She's probably just catching up on lost time. You two have been busy with WrestleMania week and Olivia and it probably just took more out of her than it did you."

"She slept fine that whole week, though."

"Really?"

"Like the damn dead." Dean confirmed, shaking his head. "I'm worried, Beth."

"You're not alone, Dean. Just let her sleep, and if she isn't up by noon we'll send Adam up to wake her."

"Alright. I'm gonna go on a run, since being here is only going to make me want to watch her sleep."

"Out in the desert?"

"Nah, that's too far out. What if something happens? Then I'm an hour away." Dean stated, gently pushing Olivia's hair back. "I'm just gonna run around the neighborhood."

"Alright. Take your phone."

"Always do." Dean called after Beth as she carried Olivia back downstairs and he sighed as he traded his jeans in for some shorts. He looked to CJ and saw that she was sleeping peacefully, but he was still worried about her sleeping for so long. This wasn't her. He gently brushed her hair away from her face and leaned down to kiss her forehead, smiling when she shifted slightly. "I'll be home soon, your highness. But you've got to wake up for me. I'm worried about you."

He wasn't expecting a response, therefore he wasn't surprised when she said absolutely nothing but continued to sleep. And so he grabbed his hat and left, knowing that she'd probably sleep for another hour or so.

His run was pretty peaceful for the most part. He waved to familiar neighbors, had to stop momentarily to have a short discussion about when he and CJ would be gone next and for how long, but his favorite part was when he almost got nailed in the head with a baseball.

"Hey, mister. Can you toss the ball back?" A member of this group of boys on the other side of the street asked and Dean sighed, but turned so he could pick up the baseball in question and contemplated tossing it over but instead walked it across the street so he didn't have to chance throwing passed the group of kids and causing himself more issues with the damn ball. "You could've just thrown it."

"My arm is too strong and I would've thrown it over your head." He explained, dropping the ball into the kid's mitt before going back to his side of the street and continuing his jog around the large upscale neighborhood he and CJ had come to love.

When he came around to his street once again, his phone started to ring and he sighed when he saw that it was his mother calling again. She had recently been demanding that he take Olivia and CJ out to meet her but he refused every time, knowing that it wasn't a good idea. In a perfect world, his mother wouldn't even know about CJ or Olivia. They'd be safe in their home, not having to worry about anybody trying to invade where they weren't welcome. He really didn't want to answer the phone, but he knew that he had no choice because he needed to drill the point home that he wanted her to leave him alone.

"I'm surprised you picked up." Was all that she said and Dean rolled his eyes at the statement. She couldn't at least pretend that she was happy to hear from him?

"No bullshit 'hi, how are you'?" Dean asked, stepping onto his porch and leaning against the pillar. "I've got to say that I'm disappointed in you."

"Much like I'm disappointed in you?"

"And why is that, Kate?"

"Because I'm your mother and we should speak more often." She put bluntly, making Dean chuckle.

"You only want to speak to me because you think you're going to get something from me. You're not, by the way. Not anymore."

"Oh?"

"I shouldn't have even gotten that started with you in the first place." Dean continued, adjusting the way his hat sat on his head. "I'm only going to ask you this one more time before I get the police involved. Leave me the hell alone."

"I want to meet my granddaughter."

"You don't have one. Nor do you have a son." He spat, hanging up before she could respond and squeezing his phone in his hand tightly. He couldn't believe the nerve of that woman to even suggest he bring his daughter within five hundred feet of her. That wasn't ever going to happen if he could help it.

After taking a few deep breaths to calm himself, Dean entered the house and set his phone down on the entry table before making his way up the stairs for a shower. He just wanted to forget about his mother before going about getting his phone number changed and making sure that everyone important knew that it had been changed. He was pleasantly surprised to hear the shower already running and see that his girlfriend was finally out of bed, which made him all the more eager to get in the shower. CJ made him feel better, and he was hoping that she'd make him feel better in more ways than one.

When CJ felt a pair of arms around her waist she smiled, instinctively leaning back into her boyfriend's embrace. She didn't know how she managed to sleep until eleven when both her boyfriend and daughter were early risers, and she certainly didn't know how the hell she still felt tired, but she was was going to figure it all out later. Right now her concern was her boyfriend, who was clinging to her and making her feel like he was in need.

"What's wrong, babe?"

"I fucking hate how angry my mom makes me."

"Did she call again?" She asked quietly, turning in his arms so she could have eye contact with him.

"Yeah, and she demanded to see Olive." Dean informed, not surprised to see irritation flash in CJ's eyes. "I promptly told her that she didn't have a granddaughter or a son anymore."

"Oh, Dean." CJ whispered sadly, cupping his cheeks in her hands gently. She could only imagine how difficult that could've been for him, and knew that she just had to support him in his decision right now.

"I'm okay, 'Stina. This has been a long time coming."

"But still, it must be tough."

"It's what I have to do to protect my family." He spoke with a small smile, giving her a gentle squeeze. "I'll change my number in the morning."

"Alright. You should probably ban her from shows we're part of, too, in case she decides to make a scene next time we're in Cincinnati."

"Good idea." Dean whispered, kissing her forehead while unaware that he had just reminded his girlfriend that it had been two years since she last visited her mother and needed to do that next time they were near Winnipeg or had extended time off. "How long have you been up?"

"Like ten minutes. When did you get up and how did I not notice?"

"Like eight. You were sleeping like a fucking rock so I'm not surprised that you slept through it all."

"I'm still tired, babe." She whined, earning a smile and peck on this lips from her boyfriend.

"You just need something to eat, your highness." He assured, gently squeezing her ass. "Some exercise may help, too."
