Chapter 490.
"This ain't no Hangover!"
(Royal Woods General Hospital.)
With the sound of the heart monitor beeping, that was the only thing Lincoln and Jordan were able to hear and soon they wake up. "Ow. What the heck happened?" The duo sit up and look around.
"Lincoln! Jordan!"
The crowd of people in the room is huge! They can see their families, some of their friends and the bride and groom? Hugh and Sirena Dimartino are there and are still in their wedding clothes, and also there are the parents of the married couple. Heck, even Leon and Sergei Spellman are still there.
"What the heck? What are you guys doing here?" asked Lincoln. He then feels something very painful. "Ouch! What the heck happened?"
"Same, there's so much pain to my lower right side…." Jordan then sees under her hospital gown to her right side is this stitched up area, and it looks like it's somewhere near her stomach. "What?!"
Lincoln checks and he has two patches, one to where his stomach is and one to where his left lung is. "You gotta be kidding me? How many times am I getting hurt and near to death?"
The duo had a mixture of concern and annoyance, fear and anger and so much confusion.
Luna and the others go over to hug them, but not too tight because they're still sore. "Bro… I'm so sorry, I wish I went to ya faster and then… I'm so sorry Lincoln!" Luna sobs as she hugs her brother.
Jordan is hugged by her parents and her weeping brother and wow, Ryan looks like a god damn mess. He is crying so much and just hugging his sister. "Ryan, its fine… I'm okay now, there's no need to…" She then looks to the married couple who are also in tears. "What the heck happened to us?"
Sam then asks them. "What do you guys remember?"
Lincoln and Jordan try to recall. "Well, after Hugh well…. Took the wedding band off of… Dimartino." This makes him blush and some of the other males blush at how awkward he just said that. "Then it landed on… Luna's head."
Luna blushes madly from this and all the sisters look towards her and Lynn Sr coughs. "I did not need to hear that one." But deep down he's proud for Luna, and possibly towards Sam.
"We were all gonna go and have a slice of the cake but then we…." Lincoln looks to Jordan. "We were hit by something and then… I…. I just…." He was confused at what he could recall, but he can't.
Jordan then continues for him. "We heard some noises, felt pain and then something very painful and…. That's all I could remember before waking up here and feeling this really intense pain."
"Same here" replied Lincoln. "But I did hear some yelling, screaming and some loud banging sounds and…" He sees the concerned looks from the others. "Guys, what the heck happened?"
Clifford C. Kirsch walks up to them. "Lincoln, Jordan. You were both shot, at the wedding."
Lincoln and Jordan are wide eyed at what he had just said. "Wait what?!"
"Yeah, kinda knew you two would say that" replied Peter, he has a cast on his right arm. "I think its best we tell ya'll what had happened…."
(Flashback.)
Hugh and Sirena are busy cutting the cake, but then they look around and notice some kids are missing. "Hang on, where the heck are Lincoln and Jordan?" Sirena also notices this and sees they're gone.
Then Luna, Sam and the others look around. Leon gets off the Tiger Tank and he sniffs the air. "Guys, something's wrong." They all begin to look around for them, but they can't find them.
This puts panic into Luna, Sam, Peter and Michelle. They cannot believe that Lincoln and Jordan are missing, and on this wedding day.
Some of the troops go around and look for them, then they hear some panicking squawks in the sky and see Apollo and Raptor diving into the back of the FutureTech made changing rooms and they hear some panic and yelling. "Over there, now!" They all go over to see what was going on.
Leon and Sergei use the Churchill Tank and they fire one round to the changing room and it's blasted off its hinges and tossed away and it reveals something that makes the crowd scream in horror and shock.
They see the bodies of the two preteens, Lincoln Loud and Jordan Rosato and looming over them with tree branches and broken chair legs are the sisters of Sirena: Grace, Elena, Alicia and Emilia, and the cousins of Hugh: Oswald, Damien and Brian.
They also see that Alicia and Oswald have revolvers with them, and they planned to aim them at the heads of the two preteens. How the hell did they sneak those into the wedding?!
They 4 women and 3 men panic from the blast of the tank and see the families looking at them. "What are you doing?!" cried Imelda.
"What is this bloody madness?!" yelled Clifford. "Stop this at once, all of you!"
"No! This is for their own good!" Oswald and Alicia are about to fire, but then the hand of Oswald is shot clean off by one of the snipers and the rest of the family go to stop them, but they turn their guns to everyone else and this turns into a deadly shoot out.
The guests all run for cover and try to defend the children from this madness and they use the tables to keep them from the shots.
The opposing side use the broken tables nearby to cover as well and they even throw some burning bottles to the troops as well, and one enters the Churchill tank and explodes inside.
Leon bails out and is on fire. "AAAAAAAAAAARGH!" He then runs to the punch bowl and puts out his own flames. "Oh thank god!"
The tank goes out of control because Sergei is still in there and the tank goes off the cliff. "Oh Jesus Christ!" The tank smashes and hits the wild flower garden and blows up. "I'm okay!" Then another explosion. "Still okay, sorta."
The crowd screams and runs and some of the shots from Alicia hit her own cousins in the back, Damien picks up the gun and shoots as well, and manages to hit Peter who goes down from a wound on his shoulder. "God damn it!" He takes cover and he sees the priest looking at him. "Sorry for saying that in front of you."
Michelle grabs a rifle from the troops and she shoots as well, and one of her shots hits Elena in the head, and she's dead. This makes the familia cry, not because of the loss of life, but because of what those others have done to the wedding. They ruined it!
Alicia screams and she aims at Michelle who takes cover and she looks to Luna. "We have to get Lincoln and Jordan, and fast!"
Luna looks up and sees the eagles are flying and trying to get into the fight, but they can't with the bullets flying around. Luna then sees something they can use. "I got an idea! Come on!" Sam and Michelle follow her and so does Clifford and Alfonso Dimartino.
Meanwhile, Brian looks to Damien and Oswald. Damien is shooting, while Oswald looks at his severed hand. He then sees Alicia juts shooting like angry and Emilia tending and crying to her dead sister and then he sees Grace throwing burning bottles at the others.
"We need to end them, now!" said Brian.
Alicia nods. She goes over to the groaning bodies of Lincoln and Jordan. "You two ruined our chances…. To be the ones who would be there, for our familia… Because of you two, Hugh and Sirena have met and have disgraced our family!"
She points the revolver to the head of Jordan, but then a large blast is made and she only shoots Jordan to where her stomach is and she passes out from the intense pain.
They see that the blast came from a Centaur Anti-Air tank and it charges forward and goes into strafing mode with Sam gunning it down.
Alicia sees that she has been hit to her side and she passes out from the bleeding and dies. Grace and Emilia see this and scream and so they grab the revolver, but only for their father to tackle them and pin them to the ground. "Stop this! Mija!"
Damien aims the revolver at the vehicle, but Sam turns it and she literally strafe everything on that guy and he's pretty much just feet left behind with nothing else.
Oswald tries to run, but his father tackles him and begins to beat up his own son. Brian grabs the revolver and intends to finish Lincoln. "No!" Luna tackles him, but he made the shot and shot Lincoln twice. One in his stomach and one to his lung.
"Get off of me you faker!" Brian grabs Luna by her hair and he punches her off of him and intends to shoot the girl, but then he gets shot at and sees it was Hugh and Sirena who both have sniper rifles with them.
Brian drops the gun. "Why?" He then falls to the ground and dies.
Luna and the others go around Lincoln and Jordan, and they call in the dropship to come and bring them to the hospital.
Hugh and Sirena go with Luna, Sam and Michelle as they are boarding the dropship and leave behind the wedding and the aftermath of the dead family members.
What was meant to be a moment to be happiness, has turned to complete chaos and bloodshed.
(End Flashback.)
Lincoln and Jordan are horrified. "Oh god. Oh god why?!" Jordan begins to shed some tears, and Sirena goes over and comforts the girl.
"Mija, please… This wasn't your fault."
"She's not wrong." Imelda is being wheeled by her husband. "This was…. We should've known that our daughters would do something… But we never knew how far they would… Oh, my familia has disgraced us."
"Same" replied Delilah Kirsch. "Too much madness and blood has been shed and we… We should've done something sooner, I wish we did and perhaps they would've still been alive and put into justice."
Lincoln was also concerned, he didn't think that would happen. What started out as the greatest moment for Hugh and Sirena, turned into a chaotic conflict of jealousy and anger, and then into a bloodshed turmoil of carnage and chaos. Something he has faced, more than once.
Hugh then goes towards Lincoln. "Are you alright, Lincoln?"
"I…. I just…. I don't even…." He then looks to everyone else. "What the heck happened after we were brought here? Can someone explain everything? Like, even our condition?"
"I can do that part." They all make way for Dr. Kendrick to step forth. "Man this room is crowded." He then has his clipboard.
"Alright, so after the two of you were brought here. We had to perform surgery to extract the bullets out from your body, and thank fully Jordan's was easy and she didn't lose much blood and it didn't hit anything important but we had to patch up the damage done to your small intestine, , but Lincoln's was tough to handle."
"One bullet was in your stomach and the other in your lung, so we had to perform one tough surgery on you and yet you managed to pull through and this time, someone else had the right call to donate blood just in case." He then looks to Leni who goes over and hugs Lincoln.
Like Luna, she too has the same blood type as her brother.
"We managed to repair the damages and you both are going to be outta here starting tomorrow at noon, also we had to remove your appendix because they were worn out and ready to blow." He looks towards Lisa.
"I forgot okay? I was too occupied with other things to even recall that I was supposed to extract my own brother's appendix." Lisa then goes to her brother and hugs him. "But I am glad you're fine and with the help from professionals."
"We nearly lost you Lincoln!" The twins go over and hug him and so does Lori, Luan, Lucy and Lynn.
Lincoln hugs the rest of his sisters, and then Luna joins in. then Lincoln asks. "What about the families? What happened to them?"
Alfonso sighs. "Even with the death of our two daughters…. It seems that they're nothing more than huge disgraces to us, and the remaining daughters we have will be sent to jail, and possibly won't be getting out anytime soon." He then comforts his weeping wife. "We know that our daughters can be sneaky, but we never thought they would be able to sneak a weapon into a wedding."
"We are terribly sorry for what had happened!" Imelda cries alongside her husband, her daughters were always into the traditions about their family and if something went out of line, then they would make sure it stayed in line. This is what they get for always being tended to by their grandparents years ago.
Sirena was different, she was tended to and raised differently and saw the world as a new chance to change, even traditions.
Sirena sighs. "My cousin, Manolo is dead along with two other family members and all because of those who I called my family!" She continues to hug Jordan and she hugs her too and the two of them shed some tears after what had happened.
Clifford then tells his side. "After the whole conflict, my brothers have been disgraced by the actions of their own sons and are embarrassed at what…. At what Damien, Brian and Oswald have done, at this moment Oswald is sent back to London and his wound tended to…."
His wife continues for him. "Oswald will be sent to jail and possibly with no means of getting out, and he will be removed from the family name, what they did even ended up killing three of his own family members…. And one, child."
That one struck Lincoln and Jordan hard! "What?"
Hugh sighs and he holds Lincoln's hand. "The child… Was the son of Oswald, his son is gone. But what Luna, Sam and Michelle did, was the right thing to stop them… And… Lincoln?"
Lincoln begins to sob, he covers his eyes and he cries into his hands at what had happened and Jordan cries harder, knowing that a child was killed in the whole conflict.
They all go over and try to comfort the crying preteens, they know that this was hard for them to take in. The pain was nothing, they have been through worse than what they have seen, but knowing other lives were lost in the outcome of the conflict from the other day… That is something they will never ever let go or forget.
Leon and Sergei speak with Peter Harris. "How those cousins and sisters brought those revolvers to the wedding is something we need to figure out" said Leon.
"We kinda did" replied Peter Harris. "They scoped out the truth about the location, we found a hole in the ground two blocks from our position, they buried the guns there using the help of someone, but we don't know who. Chances they weren't the only ones behind this attack and someone else aided them."
"Then we have problem" replied Sergei. They look to the group of folks all shedding tears and trying to comfort Lincoln and Jordan. "We will report this to our allies in FutureTech, and perhaps we can figure something out."
Peter Harris watches as Leon and Sergei leave the room and make it back to their world and then he looks back to the others. 'What the hell just happened? Who in the hell would send this kind of attack and why bring the family of the newlyweds into this cluster?'

A/N: So much mystery and to be solved when we close into chapter 500, and it won't be an easy ride for Lincoln and Jordan to get over what had happened. The wedding turned disaster and chances they might have it again, but without the whole family. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
