Chapter 498.
"Elections and Troubling issues."
(March 5, Royal Woods Mayor's Hall.)
Right now, a lot of folks have come and they have all finished casting their votes at the voting boxes which are guarded by FutureTech, and boy do they have a lot of troops guarding the sector and some heavy duty vehicles on the spot.
Katherine Mulligan is on the scene and she's reporting the news on the whole situation. Jenny Mulligan is recording this whole thing for the school news blog and Delilah Silver is helping her take some photos.
The louds, and I mean all the louds are there, especially Lori since she's also casted her vote to the whole thing, she is legally an adult and so are Becky, Dana, Carol and Whitney. Jessica Carson is there, but just to witness this since she's not a resident of Royal Woods, she's from Tuscola.
Lincoln and Jordan look around and they see the whole area is secured with tons of stuff. "Dang, looks like your godfather with FutureTech know how to lock down an election day and keep both sides from cheating."
"Gotta admit, this is one heck of a showdown that's gonna happen" replied Lynn Sr. "So glad Kotaro and myself are catering for Mayor Davis and her victory, we know she's gonna win."
"We already voted dear, and it's no surprise on who the rest of the folks voted, because I doubt there's anyone in town who would vote for her" replied Rita. She then waves to Pop-pop and Myrtle.
"Sure wish we could vote" replied Lana. She then hugs Metapod. "I wanna make sure she never gets any vote to be mayor or leader of anything!"
"I wish for the same Lana, but sadly we're children and we're unable to vote unless we are of proper age, and Leni along with Lori and Luna are at that proper age" replied Lisa. "But, at least we have FutureTech keeping the whole thing on lockdown and securing everything and I see some very familiar and sort of friendly faces."
They spot Jack Cyber going through the votes in his large computer transformation and Victor advising the troops on where to secure and take front line watch.
"Pulling out all the stops to make sure nothing goes wrong, you're godfather and the commander of the Allied outpost are bringing in so much into the fold" replied Leni.
"Wrong, my godfather Peter Harris is not in this" replied Jordan. "In fact, he's not even in the town and neither is the Commander of the Allied outpost."
This confuses the louds, and this also gets the attention from Katherine Mulligan, Jenny and Delilah.
"So, what the heck are they doing out there and not in here helping with this?" asked Lynn Jr.
Jordan tries to recall, but then Ryan recalls something. "I think this has something to do with a giant monster worm. I did overhear it when dad was talking to Peter on the phone and there's this very large worm outside of town and it's hungry, big and very feral… I think, also Martin McKenzie is with them."
They are surprised by this news and glad they weren't out there seeing the whole thing and even Lori and the other college girls are surprised. How the heck did they not get attacked by this so called giant worm?
But for Katherine Mulligan, now she knows what to do when this news on the whole Mayor voting is over. She's gonna need to get access to see what this monster worm is all about.
"I honestly don't know what the heck that is about" replied Lincoln. "But I got a bad feeling about this, and it might not go so well when you said giant hungry worm."
Just then, they see the two opponents on the stage. Theresa Davis and Selena Williams, though the people re cheering for Davis and she waves towards everyone. "Thank you all for coming, thank you."
But no one is cheering for Selena Williams as she arrives and they just yell at her. "What is wrong with all of you?! I am trying to make this town better!"
"Then leave!" yelled Mr. Grouse, Grant, the McBride couple and Principal Ramirez. They do not like that woman.
Selena Williams growls at this crowd who are against her and then she sees the man who will announce who has one this election for mayor of Royal Woods. Victor, one of the representatives of FutureTech.
They all cheer and then they quiet down to let him speak. "Alright, welcome everyone to the 2021 Mayor election and we've done the counting and boy is this one heck of a landslide. Because there is no shadow of a doubt that this woman has one and now I shall read from this letter."
Everyone doesn't seem concerned, they know who wins this one.
"And now, the Mayor of Royal Woods is…."
Selena Williams interrupts him. "Yes! Yes! Thank you, thank you so much all of you! I would like to thank none of you who have been doing nothing to support my cause and to the cause of the man who will become president one day, and I assure you all that there will be tons of major changes coming to this town."
"And we can start with…." Her microphone is turned off and she checks what's wrong with it.
Then Victor pushes her aside. "What the hell is wrong with you? You didn't win!" He then uses his own microphone and speaks who won. "Ladies and gentlemen and good townsfolk's of Royal Woods, and to the beloved Pokémon as well…."
There are a lot of Pokémon there to hear this as well, even they know what's going on.
"The Mayor and still Mayor of Royal Woods is…. Theresa Davis!" Everyone cheers and claps and fireworks are launched into the air with one heck of an airshow and then the eagles take off and each one carrying an American flag which they let go to steadily fly in the breeze.
Mayor Davis cheers as well and she takes the microphone. "Thank you, and we all knew this was gonna happen right?" they all chuckle hearing that.
"I mean, who else would vote for the opponent who came to our town and making us all annoyed? Anyone here wanna vote for her?" Everyone remains silent, and this annoys Selena Williams.
"Now, I know things have been hard on times since the coming year and that incident with the attack of an escape maniacal teen, but the damages have been dealt with and many more new things are to come, and we can start with a tax free shopping day at the Royal Woods Mall."
They all cheer hearing this. "And I would like to thank my good-hearted and most trustworthy intern, Leni Loud for making that happen." Everyone cheers and claps for what Leni did and even she's shocked she would mention her.
Victor then realizes. 'Wait, the Leni Spellman in our world. Where the heck is she interning at?'
Mayor Davis begins to talk about the many things that will come especially with the continuous construction to the new neighborhood on the Eastern side of Royal Woods called: Royal Dawn.
Selena Williams then grabs the microphone. "No! This is not true! I did not lose and certainly not to this non-human who must be removed from power and this town!" everyone gasps at what she just said.
"I am the winner, me! I won! I am the new mayor and I will make the changes and everyone will fall in line to the new rules, laws and my demands! The votes have been rigged, I know one of you voted and I know that I won and is proof that my cause and the cause of Trump is true and eternal!"
"Which one of you voted for me?!" But she sees none of them responding and all of them looking to her sternly and some of the folks are getting ready with…. Pitchforks and torches? Wait what?
Selena Williams growls at this. "You're all fools! All of you, and you're town will fall without me and my true words of the greatest man that has ever lived! I am the mayor and I will remain in office and I shall never ever leave! Long live me, and long live Donald…" Then Victor takes the microphone from her.
"Selena Williams, you are a menace to this town and a criminal to the cause of the good folks of Royal Woods. Either you cease with these actions or leave this good town and never, ever come back!"
"What?! No, I am the mayor and I will not be removed from my town!" said Selena Williams. "You are wrong and I am not leaving this town and not leaving my true seat of power!"
"You are leaving." Mayor Davis uses her microphone. "Ever since you showed up and began showing racist and rude acts onto the good folks and businesses and local wildlife, you have been nothing more than a menace to society and as Mayor, I hereby ban you from town and I request for you to leave, now!"
"No!" yelled Selena Williams. "This is my town and I am mayor and all these simpleton morons will know the true meaning of law and the law of the man who…"
"Then I guess I have no choice" replied Mayor Davis. "We'll have to make you leave by force." She looks to Victor who nods.
"With pleasure." He slowly advances to the woman with two Peacekeepers, but Victor then stops and he hear something from his comm links. "What is it?"
Martin: Dude! Stop with that noise now! Stop the whole thing and tell everyone to run for it!
Victor is confused. "What the hell are you talking about man? Theresa Davis just won and we have to celebrate this…"
Martin: As nice as that sounds, and also congrats to her for winning which was something I saw by a long shot. We just detected that the Graboid is not on the outskirts of Royal Woods anymore! It left the southern borders and went through the western sector and is within the town! Mayor's hall! Run and fly you fools!
Victor goes wide eyed and Mayor Davis looks to the man. "Are you feeling okay sir?" Some of the Pokémon begin to look around, as if they know that something is coming and this even make the eagles look around with concern.
Victor looks to Jack Cyber who is looking around. "Everyone! Get to higher ground, do not say anything and troops, ready all guns! Now! Something big is coming and it is hungry!"
Everyone begins to panic and they go to the high ground they can find, let it be on their cars, on the stone pedestal, the stairs of the mayor's hall and the sidewalks and roads and they look to the ground.
Victor pulls out a very long double barrel shotgun, also known as an Elephant gun. "I always wanted to use this big girl!" He then loads the gun and looks around. He then recalls that the stage their standing on is made of wood. "Mayor Davis, get to high ground now."
Mayor Davis nods and with the peacekeepers they get her onto the Guardian Tank and they scan the ground with their guns ready.
Selena Williams grabs the microphone and she yells. "I am the mayor and I will not leave this town! Everyone, get down from there now! There is no monster, this is just some lie to…" But then stage beneath her starts to shake and victor leaps to the speaker pole and he holds on.
"What on earth is this madness?!" Then something breaks free from the bottom of the stage and they're all shocked at what they see, a very large worm and Victor yells its name.
"Graboid!"
Graboid – these are from the words of the great hunter, Burt Gummer: The Graboid is a vicious subterranean predator 30 ft. long and weighs 10 to 20 tons which takes 3 months to get to that full size and a semi-rigid internal structure. It senses its prey seismically and deploys three powerful snake-like oral tentacles to ensnare its prey and pull into its gullet.
The beast roars and it deploys its three tongues and seeks the closest thing to hunt and Selena Williams is the closest and she screams as this thing latches its snake-like tongues onto her legs.
She screams in pain and falls to the ground and she gets dragged into the mouth of the beast. "Kill this thing! No!"
Victor aims his weapon, but the first shot misses and he falls to the ground because he couldn't hold his gun and also hold on. The other troops also open fire at this thing and so do the cops.
The woman screams as she's now dragged into the monsters gullet and she's gone. The Graboid then burrows back into the dirt and then The Guardian Tank fires a round onto the stage, but this scares away the Graboid and is races into the dirt away from the Mayor's hall.
They all remain silent at what had just happened and who that thing ate. "What the heck?!" yelled Simon.
Then Martin McKenzie lands down and a helicopter with Peter Harris. "What did we miss? Where's the Graboid and… What the heck happened here?" asked Martin.
They have to hunt that thing down, at least it umm…. Handled Selena Williams, right?
