"Hey, Seth. Its me. Shit is real bad here right now and she's terrified. I'm actually scared, too, and I just- I don't know what to do. I need your help just because I think you're what she really needs right now to really feel safe, y'know? I haven't seen her smile in hours and if anybody could make her smile, it'd be you, and I'd love it if you could come and help me make her feel safe. Please, Seth. I need you here. We need you here."
Seth listened to the message on his way to the airport Sunday night and instantly hated himself for not answering the phone. A trip onto social media had him further hating himself when he searched their names and saw that their phone numbers were plastered all over social media and the internet itself. They needed him, and he ignored them. He shut them out and they were probably worried sick about him and everything else going on in their lives. He was a terrible person and he wouldn't be surprised if one (or both) of them slapped him. Depending on how upset they were with him, he may or may not be stuck in a car with somebody else until he found a way to make it up to Dean and CJ.
He then listened to CJ's message and felt his heart break slowly as he heard the tears in her voice. She was hurting, and it was his fault. All he had to do was send her some acknowledgement and she probably would've felt better, but no. He ignored their calls, he ignored her, and he was going to pay the price for it. He just knew. He's start early, too. He'd never dialed a phone number faster, and his heart broke more with the message he got.
"The number you have dialed is no longer in service. Please hang up, check the number you have dialed, and call again later."
He checked and made sure that he had actually dialed CJ's phone number, and then tried again. He got the same message. So then he tried calling Dean, double checking everything and he still got the same message. He certainly was paying the price already, because neither bothered texting him with their new phone numbers. He had no way to contact them, since CJ hadn't been on twitter in three days, and didn't know who to talk to about this. This meant that he could only talk to Dean and CJ in person, and he had to start sucking up as soon as he possibly could.
Despite CJ having not been active on Twitter, Seth made a last ditch effort and sent her a direct message on Twitter.
'CJ, is everything alright? I know I fucked up and I'm so sorry. You'll be at RAW right?'
All he could do now is pray that she saw it and actually replied.
"Oh, shit, Dean!" CJ cried out, her hand tangled in Dean's hair as he pushed her towards her sixth orgasm in the last twelve hours. Dean kept at it though, lapping at her juices until her body had relaxed. It was then that he looked up and grinned that wolfish grin at her, licking his lips as he slowly crawled up her body. "You're going to be the death of me, babe."
"Is death by orgasm really a bad way to go out?" He asked, pushing her hair back and pecking her lips. "I think it'd be heavenly, other than the fact that you'd be dead. That would suck."
"That would suck." She repeated, grinning up at Dean. "Kinda."
He could only chuckle, claiming her mouth in a kiss. It was sloppy, but neither really cared. CJ was too busy being turned on by tasting herself in Dean's mouth. It was so fucking sexy to her, and she was lucky to haven gotten a lot of that taste in the last twelve hours. Dean took that time while she was distracted to push his waiting length into her heat, loving the way she moaned into his mouth without a care in the world. A harsh thrust had her throwing her head back, eyes shut tight as he fucked her mercilessly. This would be the end, he knew it, but he didn't mind it. They'd pushed each other to their limits, and Dean was going to let her sleep through the night. He knew that Olivia was going to have him up and down all night, but he'd be okay. He didn't have a match as far as he was concerned, so CJ needed her sleep so she could beat Naomi's ass on RAW. Again.
"Good sweetheart?"
"Great, Dean." She sighed, trying to roll her hips in time to meet his thrusts. "Fuck, babe."
"Stop trying, Christina." Dean requested, slowing his pace just a bit to grab her eye contact. "Let me fuck you, m'kay?"
She only nodded, letting him hold onto her tightly as he fucked her. She loved this, needing him to help her clear her mind for just a while. On Monday they'd be thrust back into the harsh reality that was the fact that they didn't even have privacy anymore. It was violated by some dick and she didn't even know whose ass Dean had to kick for violating their privacy like this.
"Stop thinking." Dean growled in her ear, his pace never faltering as he fucked her. He wasn't even trying to think about anything but fucking her, because she needed her mind cleared. "Focus on me and only me."
CJ could only nod, having already lost herself in her boyfriend and the things he was making her feel. She needed this, and he was going to take care of her. She was trusting him to take care of her, and she knew that he wouldn't disappoint her. He never disappointed her in bed, and she knew that he wouldn't start today.
The bed was rocking, and she could faintly hear the headboard hitting the wall with how forcefully Dean was thrusting into her. Her phone dinged! on the nightstand with a notification, but her eyes were locked on Dean's the second his forehead came to rest on hers. The eye contact between them made the moment so much more intense, even when CJ felt her orgasm approaching quickly and shut her eyes. Dean felt her walls begin constricting around his length and pushed through, making sure to push her over the edge before he could even think about cumming.
"Dean, I'm gonna-"
"I know, your highness. Let go for me." He requested, holding himself back for her sake more than his despite how difficult it was becoming. "C'mon, babe."
There weren't any other words spoken between them after that. Just moans and groans of pleasure as Dean continued to push them both to that edge. She was there and so close, she just needed that gentle nudge to get over that edge and fall apart. That gentle nudge came in the form of him hitting her spot as hard as he could possibly slam into it, not even thinking about possibly hurting her. He didn't think that he hurt her, if the way her back arched into him and she screamed his name as she came said anything. His climax followed soon after, a groan of satisfaction into her neck before his body collapsed onto her.
"I love you, Christina." He panted, pulling her with him as he laid on his didn't want to pull out of her just yet, needing that intimate connection with her while they fought to catch their breath.
"I love you, too, Dean." She whispered, not bothering to lift her head from where it rest over his heartbeat. She knew that they'd be okay in the end, they just had to stick together.
Seth walked around the arena, just trying to kill time while waiting for Dean and CJ to arrive. He'd already spoken to Heyman, who looked stunned to see Seth alone rather than with Dean and CJ, but informed him that they were on their way. Seth had never heard back from CJ and was worried about them, but he knew that Dean wouldn't let anything happen to CJ or Olivia. Dean would die before anything harmed their girls.
"Rollins, come chat!" Hunter called and Seth froze in place; looking up at the older man who was flanked by Kane, J&J, and his wife, and he had to seriously consider his options. Talk to The Authority and be accused of treason by Dean and CJ or run? It was a hard choice but running won out the internal debate and it wasn't long before he was hiding away in the Heyman Family's locker room. He was sitting on the couch when the door opened twenty minutes later and CJ carried in Olivia's carrier without Dean right behind her.
"CJ."
"Seth. You're okay?" She asked, setting the carrier down on the floor and rescuing a fussy Olivia from her confinement. Seth stood and looked at her in surprise, pulling her and Olivia into a tight embrace. "Seth?"
"I'm glad to see that you're okay. I didn't really have my phone on me this weekend."
"Why not?"
"I needed some space from everything to clear my head and figure some things out." Seth spoke honestly, letting her go when she tried pulling away. He was expecting this, and took Olivia from CJ so that the blonde could pace freely without worrying about upsetting the infant.
"Figure what out, exactly?"
"Us. Whatever the hell is going on between the three of us." He kept being honest, knowing that she'd know if he was lying or not. She didn't like it when he lied, and he didn't like it when she yelled at him for lying. It was a win-win all around.
"What's so difficult about what's going on?"
"The fact that I'm not sure just how welcome I really am, CJ." Seth snapped, keeping his voice low as to not bother Olivia any further. CJ looked confused, as expected, and Seth let out a sigh. He didn't really know how to explain it without upsetting her, and he didn't want to upset her because that would upset Dean. An upset Dean wasn't anything Seth wanted to deal with right now. "I'm told one thing but when I do what I'm allowed to do, Dean gets all standoffish. There's only so much I can take, babe. I get it, I fucked up and took you for granted. I deserve to die alone. But I can't deal with much more of this wishy-washy shit."
"I get it, I do. You have a right to be frustrated but you have to talk to Dean about that. Not fight, but talk. He probably doesn't even realize that he's doing it." CJ tried defending Dean, running a hand through her hair as she looked up at Seth. "But we need you, Seth. I do love you, you know that right?"
"I know, babe. But I just-"
"Shut up." CJ demanded, gently guiding Seth to the couch in the room. He sat down with Olivia and looked up at CJ in confusion. He didn't know what she was going to say, and got even more confused when she turned away from him. "Talk to Dean and work it out. I love you both to death and I can't afford to lose either of you. Please, Sethie, work it out."
"You got it." Seth sighed, knowing that he'd do anything to make CJ happy.
"We've got a treat to night John! Seth Rollins joining us here at commentary!" Michael Cole cheered and Seth nodded from his seat as CJ talked to Paul in front of the commentary table. His eyes were more focused on her ass in those jeans, but the men didn't know that and Seth was happy to keep that his dirty little secret. "I know you have a lot to say and a lot of questions for Seth."
"Oh really?" Seth asked, watching as CJ handed off her title to Paul before climbing up onto the ring apron. She was teaming with Natalya against Naomi and Tamina, a fight that he couldn't even call because they were all phenomenal in the ring. Of course, CJ was the best, and he wasn't even biased. She was the Gold Standard, after all. "What questions did you have for me, John? I'd love to answer them."
"I was just wondering what was going through your mind to turn on The Authority." JBL spoke up, sounding slightly nervous, and Seth chuckled as the bell rang. CJ was starting off against Naomi, quickly gaining control and tagging in Natalya. They both lifted the Uso woman up in a vertical suplex, holding her up for the ref's full five-count before slamming her down and CJ got back onto the apron. "You didn't even like Dean Ambrose or CJ Jericho. How could you team up with your ex-girlfriend and the lunatic who stole her from you?"
"They're the most profitable team in the whole WWE. They've got Paul Heyman, which means that they have money. Money pays my bills John." Seth lied, making it about money when it was really about how much he loved CJ and Olivia. "Everybody's got a price."
"So its not about trying to get close to CJ Jericho again? You have said it yourself online that you loved her." Booker T brought up, getting a sigh out of Seth. "I think you still do love her."
"What makes you say that?" Seth asked, leaning back in his seat and watching Natalya try for the Sharpshooter early on Naomi. She was close enough for a tag, CJ tapping the blonde's shoulder before running and kicking Tamina off of the apron before baseball sliding so that her feet went straight into Naomi's face. The Canadians high-fived, both proud of themselves, before CJ started stomping at Naomi's ribs.
"Its all in the way you look at her." Booker stated, getting a smirk out of Seth as he continued to watch the action in the ring. "Nobody falls in love with a woman like CJ Jericho and just moves on."
"I'm not trying to get her back, Book. Even if I did still love her, she deserves to be happy and if that nutcase Dean Ambrose makes her happy then so be it." Seth spoke calmly, hating himself for saying that out loud but knowing that somebody had to say it. He could be the spokesman for douche bag ex boyfriends if he really wanted to.
"And a beautiful drop kick by CJ to Naomi." Michael butt in, trying to redirect the attention back to the match. "These ladies are dominating Naomi."
"Using old Shield tactics, if I may add." Seth butt in, chuckling when JBL hufffed in annoyance. It was funny to him that JBL used to sing his praises when he was with The Authority, but now JBL hated the ground he walked on while worshiping CJ and the ground she walked on. He and CJ were on the same team, yet she and Heyman were the only members of the Heyman Family that JBL praised. "Why don't you like me anymore, John?"
"I never said that I didn't like you, Seth." JBL defended, looking up when Naomi managed to kick out of CJ's pin attempt. "I just don't like the things you've done and your reasons for doing them."
"I'm just trying to survive in this cutthroat world, John. Nothing that hasn't been done before." Seth defended himself, bringing his attention back to the ring and nodding to Paul when he brought the Women's Championship over to him. "I'm on the winning team and, in two weeks at Payback I'll be beating Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to further prove that The Heyman Family is the winning team."
"What happens when you lose? Or if Brock Lesnar regains the WWE World Heavyweight Championship?"
"I won't lose." Seth spoke confidently, watching CJ tag in Natalya and hop off of the apron. Paul was by her side and Seth wanted to see what was going on, but right now he was protector of her belt. He'd find out what the issue was later.
After a mixed night at work, CJ just wanted to sleep so that's what the guys let her do. She and Olivia laid down and Dean shut the bedroom door so he and Seth could talk and not worry about waking CJ. After the weekend she had, she just needed all the sleep she could possibly get while feeling secure with both Dean and Seth there to protect her and Olivia. Seth was looking nervous as he sat on the couch and dried his hair after a shower, and Dean didn't blame him. Had tables been turned he knew that he would've been nervous too.
"What happened to you this weekend?" Dean asked simply, sitting down across from Seth and watching the younger man shift in his seat for a moment.
"I was never really on it after we were texting Thursday afternoon and I told you about being pulled from the house shows. Had I seen what happened with your phone numbers then I would've come running, you know that right?"
"Why didn't you answer the phone when I called, then?" Dean asked, clenching his fist as he spoke. "Or when she called, why didn't you answer?"
"When you called I figured that you guys had gotten into a fight or she was being stubborn about something and you wanted me to save the day. Again. That's why I didn't answer your call or listen to the voicemail until last night when I was on my way to the airport." Seth started his explanation, not missing the shocked look on Dean's face and knowing that he was most likely pissing off the blonde but he didn't care. "And I din't answer the phone when she called because I was asleep. I didn't listen to her voicemail because I knew that it would make me want to run to you guys and I couldn't because I needed space to think."
"'Space to think'?" Dean repeated, scratching at his jaw just to keep his hand busy so that he didn't do anything he'd end up regretting. "Think about what?"
"This thing we've got going on here." Seth responded; pointing between himself, Dean, and the bedroom door. "You tell me that I can do all these things and that I'm basically her boyfriend, but whenever I do anything you get all weird about it. I can understand you not being used to sharing and not understanding why you're suddenly okay with this to an extent, but I cannot handle you telling me one thing and then getting all weird and standoffish when I do whatever you've told me that I can do. I've done nothing wrong ever since this started and I'm trying really hard to make up for my past transgressions, but fucking A, Dean, this can't keep going on like this if its going to work for long."
Dean sat there for a moment and absorbed all of that information, knowing that everything Seth had said was true. He could imagine how difficult he was making things for Seth, and he kinda felt bad about it, but he didn't know how to just shut off his thoughts. He didn't know how to make things any easier despite Seth not pushing any of the limits set for him and not complaining at all about them. Seth was being such a good sport through all of this, yet he was getting shit on by him and his attitude.
"What do you want me to do, Seth?" Dean asked, drumming at his collarbone as Seth paced the bus while still drying his hair. Dean knew that if CJ and Olivia weren't sleeping then he'd be in the bathroom with the blowdryer on high so that he could go to bed quicker, and he appreciated the constant thought and care Seth put in for their girls. "I can't just stop over thinking everything."
"If you didn't overthink everything then you wouldn't be Dean Ambrose." Seth teased, sitting back down and looking Dean in the eye. Those blue eyes were more tired than they usually were, and Seth knew that it was due to the hellish weekend that he and CJ had to endure, which made him feel worse for ignoring them over the weekend. "I just need you to trust me a bit more. I know this is weird for you, and its weird as hell for me too. But we've got to work together, for Christina and Olivia more than our individual egos, alright?"
"You're right." Dean agreed, extending his arm out to Seth. "I'm sorry that I've been making this hard for you. I'll try to work on the standoffish part, but it'll take time."
"All I need is for you to try."
So I just got back from vacation on Monday. I was visiting family in the Seattle area(that I've missed so much) which really helped clear my mind and got the creative juices going for both this one and A Tangled Affair, so go me.
Anyways, I'd like to thank Sarcastic Nightmare, meredith757, ChelleLew, Imagineer1392, Pinaypricesa, ItReignsJustice-619, and Guest for reviewing the last chapter! Love you guys!
