Chapter 520.
"Dodge Ball is in Session!"
(Royal Woods Sports stadium.)
The time has come and the date now is March 27, which means Dodge Ball is in session maggots, the kind of dodge ball that we would try to evade if we weren't that skilled in dodging and powerful throws.
The stadium bleachers are filled with some folks from both towns, Royal Woods and Hazeltucky, but the crowd from Royal Woods seems to be cheering the loudest for their team who won last year, and they know that they can win this year!
The announcer is none other than the same guy from the baseball games, but without his very miserable friend. Again, why is the other guy even a commentator at the baseball games?
"Hello and welcome folks to the second annual Royal Woods Dodge Ball, and the first for this year, and I can see that everyone here is pumped up for what this game has in store, and to see who wins this match."
Lisa then goes through some numbers as the crowd cheers, which Lana notices. "What the heck are you doing?"
"After some long research, I found out and the team as well, that the rivals they'll be facing who are the Hazeltucky Hitch nickers, which I find as a ridiculous name are very, competitive and have been training for some time with their sports and seem to want to win and put Royal Woods in their place" replied Lisa.
This makes Luna concerned. "I don't like this dudes, could they be just like Hank and Hawk?"
"Not likely, they were once new comers to their own schools and the team has been bullied many times by the two thugs, and chances that the mean and pushing demeanor have made them into ruthless and mean preteens, thus they are not good sportsmanship folk and would rather win and not lose."
Leni sighs. "Well, this is bad. What about the coach of the enemy team, what's her deal?"
Lisa then looks through the tablet. "Her name is Coach Chelsea Higgins and is known to be quite strict and always competitive… Wait a minute." This surprises the others.
"Any chances she might be relayed to Chastity Higgins?" asked Lori. Then they hear the announcement of the two team's arrival.
The first team that comes into the place are the Hazeltucky Hitch Nickers: Jake Cole, Thomas Arckinson, Darren Tollsin, Gene A. Dumbskir, Riley Bobinson, Blake J. Long, Harry D. Slithers, Mitch L. Scorners, Elmer D. Uddlord, Samuel Shawn Shank, Samson Shawn Shank and Eliza D.L Eastwind.
The folks of Hazeltucky cheer for them and the team begins to show off with some odd poses that they are better, and then they form a pyramid to show how athletic they are, this kinda makes the folks of Royal Woods confused. Lynn on the other hand is angered by this, and same with the rest of the folks.
"Huh, those guys should be cheer leaders, not dodge ball players." The others also agree.
Then comes the arrival of the team in town, and they come in with the fog coming out of the stadium and that said team are…. The Royal Woods Middle Eagles: Lincoln, Jordan, Ryan, Gretchen, Hope, Trent, Lance, Artie, Simon, Stella, Polly, Jenny, Mollie, Renee and Paige.
They walk slowly, with the eagles flying out with them and they carry around American flags and place them onto the flag poles nearby and the national anthem begins, with the performance from Sam Sharp.
Just seeing Sam perform the National Anthem on the Piano, was making Luna's heart flutter. 'My babe sure knows how to rock it and roll it with the beats of her voice.' But then she sees the rival team admiring her, and this irritates Luna.
As soon as Sam finishes the game was about to commence, she does go over and speak with Simon and Stella, while Lincoln and Jordan speak with Coach Keck. "Yup, there she is guys." They see the coach of the rival team. "Coach Chelsea Higgins, don't know where she's from, but I do know is that she's not from Hazeltucky."
Coach Chelsea Higgins – Wearing the blue and white colored coach uniform for Hazeltucky, has black hair that is shaved to the sides and back, wearing shades and has a gold pierce through her nose, and freckles, and wearing blue and white falcon logo sneakers.
"So, chances she might be related to that damned rich snob, Chastity Higgins" said Jordan.
"If so, then she might've heard about us and what had happened to Chastity when she got into some serious trouble" said Lincoln.
"Then we'd best be careful and thankfully we got some backup to make sure that lady doesn't do any trouble" said Coach Keck. They spot the Remote Controlled Drones, being controlled by Hassan, Angel Carson and Mark Warren. Cristina Éclair is also with them to record using Hope's drone.
They got eyes in the skies in case they try to cheat, and they even got the backup camera, and that would be Lana's Butterfree alongside the Eagles, they will make sure that the cheating crimes of the enemy are now unnoticed.
"Alright then, let's get this game started." Lincoln, Jordan and Coach Keck go to the rest of the team to speak with them. "Alright you scamps, gather around the team captains has some stuff to tell ya."
Lincoln starts off first. "Alright, so we got the word on what we're up against and we can thank Lisa and FutureTech for that manner, but the real ordeal is how we handle this. Now, the rival team is not gonna go easy on us and they will try to win, because they recalled the clash we had with Beaverton."
"So, it also means they know we won the two games, the dodge ball and computer gaming competitions" replied Jordan. "They wanna make us lose, and possibly hurt, and they won't be good gaming kind of folks and want us to flunk, we need to be cautious."
"Chances they know what we can do and how we play, and through that they might figure out how to beat us through cheating and that means we need to make sure that we're not gonna be affected by said cheating ways" said Lincoln.
"We got eyes in the skies of the stadium to make sure that their actions are seen and made clear that they're nothing but knockoff jerks, so let's do what we do best and win this for Royal Woods" said Jordan.
They all nod and have determined looks. They break the huddle and get into positions, and because of the information they got about the opposing team, they asked Peter Harris and he made some calls. He managed to get some elite referee's to arrive and help ensure the rules of the game are enforced and that no cheating is made.
All Peter Harris had to do was contact Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and that call led to the Chairman of WWE, Mr. McMahon, and thus the boss of the company let them borrow referees, and each one has been through so much and have keen eyes when someone cheats.
The rival coach sees this. "What the heck is this? What's with the elite Referees?" asked Coach Chelsea.
Coach Keck smirks. "To make sure you and your hoodlums don't cheat your way through, Higgins."
Coach Chelsea is angered by this. "You're gonna regret doing this, this is the game we're gonna win and show you folks at Royal Woods whose the bosses, and the sports bosses are us!"
The Hazeltucky team cheers. "Yeah! You guys suck!"
Lincoln sighs. "Well, this is expected. Absolutely no good sportsmanship, the Beaverton Computer game players were more tolerable and full of honor and respect, you guys wouldn't make the cut if the ESPN saw this."
Angel Carson yells. "The drones are live streaming this guys, so possible some of those said ESPN guys are seeing this."
The Hazeltucky folks stop cheering and look to the drones all recording this, which means the rival team's words and the Coaches words were heard and now everyone knows this. Now, they were in total deep trouble.
One of the Referees steps forward. "Alright, teams ready?" They all nod. "Let's play some dodge ball!" The referee then blows the whistle and the game is on!
Lincoln and Jordan dodge the incoming rivals dodge balls, which then Lance and Artie grab them meaning the two who threw them are out, then they toss them back and they hit two of the opposing players and they're out.
Mollie ducks down and she throws her dodge ball and her ball hits one of the rivals and then another and then ricochets onto another and those three are out.
Riley Bobinson tries to hit one of them, but the ball is caught by Polly, she cracks her knuckles and throws the ball to three of the opposing side's teammates and then she dodges and grabs two dodge balls on the ground and throws them onto two more.
Royal Woods cheers at this, their team is winning and giving it their all, Lincoln and Jordan haven't done anything but let the others throw and dodge to showcase that they're skills have improved, that and because the team captains are the last resort front line because they're dangerous and skilled.
Team Captain Jake Cole looks at his team failing and he looks to Coach Chelsea. "Coach, what the heck do we do?! You said that they were weak and untrained nobodies!"
The coach looks around and sees that her team is failing, and if they lose the second game, then it's game over for sure. "This isn't happening!"
Soon, the game is over and the Referee blow the whistle. "Point goes to Royal Woods."
The team cheers and so do the folks on the bleachers and thus they come together to take a break and talk, but then the Royal Woods Middle Eagles along with Coach Keck notice Coach Chelsea Higgins speaking with her team, and they notice she's handing each of them something.
"Well, well. Looks like someone doesn't wanna lose, we got ourselves some cheaters" said Coach Keck.
Mollie looks to Christina, Angel and Mark and she motions them to look to the opponents and thus the cameras are locked with their senses sharp onto the enemy and they zoom in on what the coach is handing to her team.
"Oh, so that's they're game. Alright, now we know what the heck is gonna happen next" said Angel.
Lisa smirks and looks closely. "Looks like a form of powder, yet we do not know what effects they will cause. They must be ready for what is to come."
Lincoln and Jordan look to their own team. "Alright gang, this is gonna be bad and when I mean bad, I mean cheating bad" said Lincoln. "We don't know what might happen next, so we'll need to be cautious and on the alert."
"We thought about it, and we should try and avoid the balls their using and strike them with the balls we have" said Jordan, she then sees Lance, Artie and Tent talking. "Guys, anything to add?"
Lance speaks for them. "We think that Renee, Paige and Ryan should take point, we'll take a break."
"Chances we're gonna win this and so why not let them take point and show everyone what they can do" said Artie.
"They're pretty good and skilled and we've been training with them for a week, well Ryan has been skilled got some time" said Trent.
Lincoln and Jordan nod and look to Coach Keck who smiles. She then looks to the benched group. "Ryan, Renee and Paige, you three are taking Trent, Lance and Artie's places."
The trio get up and head on to take the spots, Hope on the other hand is fine with it, but then Mollie thinks of something. "Same here Coach, let Hope take her time to shine in this free-for-all." Hope smiles and she steps forward while Mollie takes a break. "Show them what you can do, Pertland."
After they tell them what they could be up against, they then head back to their positions and then stand fast with their own dodge balls, Lincoln could see something powdery in the hands of the opposing team. "Alright gang, look alive. Cheaters on the field."
Mitch L. Scorners smirks. "You're going down, losers. Hazeltucky rules!"
The Referee blows the whistle. "Play dodge ball!"
The team from Hazeltucky throw dodge balls at the Royal Woods Middle Eagles, but they dodge all of them and one of the balls hits their own at Hazeltucky and they suddenly feel itchy. "What the heck? This is itching powder!"
The referee picks up one of the dodge balls and sees this. "Hey! Why the heck is there itching powder on these things?!" He then notices the opposing side. "Why the heck are you kids wearing gloves?"
All eyes look to the coach and the woman backs up and she trips from the flyby from Nora and she falls to the ground and the bag of itching powder is seen on the ground and the referee's see this. "We got cheaters in the field."
"Then let's show that cheaters never prosper." Jordan, Lincoln and the others begin to throw their dodge balls, but they miss and bounce off and each one strikes down each member of the opposing side and they're all out.
The referee blows his whistle. "Point goes to Royal Woods, Royal Woods Middle Eagles win."
The crowd cheers, while the ones from Hazeltucky look to Coach Higgins and are now angry with her, and disappointed at their own team for cheating.
Coach Chelsea is enraged by this and she sees the referees looking at the cameras that the drones have and they see the recording of what the coach gave to her team, the woman then looks to the opposing side.
"You ruined everything!" She throws a dodge ball at them, but Coach Keck manages to grab it and is wearing a glove.
"Sorry Coach Higgins, but this gym session is dismissed!" She winds up and does a mighty throw and Coach Chelsea Higgins is hit and knocked out cold. The folks from Hazeltucky go to their own team and scold them for cheating, but deep down they are angry at the loss and that they're coach's plan failed.
The referee's then escort the unconscious coach out of the stadium, and the footage was live stream which means Hazeltucky is gonna be in deep trouble for the rest of the year with their sports events.
The Royal Woods Team cheers and celebrates as they have won this year's first ever dodge Ball Games trophy, that's a win for the Middle School and Royal Woods.
