Chapter 550.
"Undercover Mom Exposed."
(The Loud House.)
Lynn Sr is at the house and he gets ready to leave for work, but then he sees his bedroom door is closed and he recalls something. He then goes to the door and knocks. "Rita, are you ready in there?"
The door opens and he's shocked by what he sees, his wife, Rita Loud is dressed like a teen, sort of. A white shirt, blue sweater vest, light blue knee ripped jeans and a pink backpack, and a red wig with a brown scrunchie to make the ponytail.
Lynn Sr is confused. "Rita, what the heck is this about again?"
Rita sighs. "Honey, what this is, is what I am planning for the gazette. To see how teen life has been doing, and the best way for me to know how is to be like them, ask around and see how life is going. That's all."
Lynn Sr is concerned. "But aren't you gonna be worried that the kids will suspect something? You do know that Leni is not the same as she was and Luan is also focused, especially Luna who is as keen as her eagle, well wherever he is."
"Relax Lynn, I can handle this" replied Rita. "And I know how to evade the girls if I see them and chances LJ won't even know who I am underneath, everything will be okay."
Lynn is unsure. "Alright, I do question where you got this whole idea."
"From Gary, one of my co-workers who told me that he was going undercover on his series of the dark worlds of seeding and gardening" replied Rita. "His disguised and really knows how to keep the hidden stick, and I wanna know more about the teen life. So, this is all necessary, I got this Lynn."
They don't notice Michelle Lewis seeing this and is shocked, and she sneaks away and texts Lincoln. 'Wow. That was super weird and bound to turn bad real fast.'
(Royal Woods High School.)
Rita steps out of Vanzilla and she takes a selfie of herself and is chewing bubble gum. Then her husband speaks. "Uh hon, shouldn't you be going to class? You don't wanna be late on your first day undercover."
Rita then does another selfie. "Hang on, just gonna make myself a social media presence." She takes another selfie. "It'll be so cray if I don't have one." She then checks her phone. "Speaking of which can you go to Swifty pick and drop a heart emoji on my recent post?"
Lynn Sr is both annoyed and confused. "Honey, you lost me at cray." He then starts the van. "Well, have fun at school Brita." He then drives off.
Rita sighs. "It's pronounced Bretta. Not Brita." She hears the school bell ring and she goes into the school. The mother of the louds looks around and she walks down the halls and greets some of the teens who greet her back. 'So far, so good.'
Luna and Sam are talking with Leni and Luan by the lockers. "So, we're gonna have some more band rehearsals as we go along the day after school. What are you guys gonna do?" asked Luna.
"Benny and I are gonna be hanging out with Maggie, she said she has a movie for us to check out. I just hope it's not something too scary" said Luan. "Also, Ruby and Spencer are tagging along."
"Gonna go to the Mayor's office and help her with any more things needed for the town and one of them is an expansion for a Pokémon center, is that what they called it from FutureTech?" asked Leni.
Sam nods. "Pretty much, from what Simon knows, those locations are always meant for…. Mrs. Loud?"
Luna is confused. "Sam, my mom isn't a medical kinda gal anymore. She quit her dentist job and got the new job as…."
"No, you're mom's here." Sam points them to the woman in the red hair walking down the halls and interacting with Ruby. This makes the three girls jaws drop.
"What the double decking juice is going on here?" asked Luna. "Also, why the heck did I say that?"
"Why is mom dressed like a teen?" asked Leni.
They even hear her talking. "Why is she sounding like one?"
Luna then realizes what was going on and she sighs. "Dang it. This has to be something about her job, no shadow of doubt and also because she might be planning to make amends with us after what happened last year dudes!"
Leni sighs. "Dang it. Well, we should do something, before she makes this super bad on her look. Because she is obviously going to make herself into a fool and our friends fools."
"Leni's right, chances she might end up asking only other teens, but not us or Lynn" said Luan. "That's her goal here to try and…." They hear a ringtone and look to Luna.
The teen rocker checks her phone and she sees whose it from. "Lincoln."
Lincoln: Luna, Michelle Lewis gave me this text earlier, sorry for not picking it up, I didn't know my phone was off, and also mom is at the high school and trying to make an article about teenage life. So, just a heads up and be careful, she might end up doing the wrong thing.
Luna sighs seeing this. "Well, a little too late for that bro." She puts her phone away and then she sees Rita talking to Joey and Chaz. "Well, looks like we gotta make sure mom doesn't mess up, but to do so without making a scene, we're gonna need to have a little chat with her."
"We could do so when classes are done, somewhere around lunch hour" said Luan.
They all nod and they head onto their usual stuff, so Rita won't suspect a thing, and it is working. Rita sees her daughters all doing what they do normally and she sighs in relief. 'Alrighty, looks like it is working. Time to see what other stuff is teen life about these days.'
(Lunch time.)
Rita walks into the cafeteria with her lunch, she sees a table she can go to and she sees another one with some teens sitting. So she goes over, but then she sees a paper plane hit her wig. "What the heck?" She sees what it says.
"Come outside."
Rita is confused and she does so, and with no one else seeing this, she's pulled away by Luna and Leni and they're now outside of the school. She then sees Sam and Luan outside, and same with Lynn. "Mom."
Rita is nervous and tries to get out of this mess. "Like, what are you girls talking about? My name is…"
Luna sighs. "Don't try to scoop yourself out of this ice-cream pantry mom, we know it's you. Sam noticed it first and then we took one good look and we know how you always have the same fashion sense and body perspective."
Rita had no clue how to respond to that, but she removes the wig. "Yeah, it is me. Also, sorry for doing this."
Luan sighs. "We know that this whole thing is about your job, but going around and asking our friends about teen life, is like violating into someone's privacy by acting like the folks they're used to and it is so wrong mom."
"You have to stop doing this mom, we know this thing is important for the whole article and stuff that you're working on. But when others read the whole thing, it could lead to some troubling moments for our friends in school and then they'll see how this went and blame us for it" said Leni.
"Yeah, and not just that, but the rest of the sisters won't be able to trust being around you do you do this" said Lynn. "You're breaking into our privacy, mostly our friends and I saw you talking to Paula and Nadia, and even Alice and Lainey."
"My mom doesn't pry into my life, she does so when I need someone to talk to when I feel troubled" said Sam. "Also, this isn't about just the article, is it?"
Rita sighs and she removes the wig. "It is, mostly. But the other reason is because I wanna make up for what I did in the whole checkup issue we had last year. I wanna get to know you girls and see how I can do something to make it all up. I guess this wasn't such a rad idea."
They all feel bad for her now. Luna steps up. "Mom, look. We are a bit miffed at what you and pops did in not helping with our conditions, but we're not that mad at you, just disappointed and we still love you, and dad too."
Leni then steps up. "If you wanna make it up to us, then do so without going into the personal lives of what we do and what our friends do, and they know us well, and that's another reason why you're asking them, right?"
Rita nods and she blushes with embarrassment.
Luan then speaks. "We're gonna give you and dad a chance to make up for the whole ordeal from last year, and we don't know when full forgiveness and the trust thing will be earned, but patience is needed."
"We're all trying to make up for mistakes from the past, mostly me and we all know that the road to making that amends done is a long and far one" said Lynn. "But it'll be worth it, heck even I have so many mistakes to make up for."
Rita smiles hearing this. "Ah, thanks girls. Also, sorry for asking your friends about you guys, you were right this was a mistake and don't worry, your friends didn't seem to tell me anything… They uh, found me kinda weird and backed off."
"Huh, well that explains why Margo said that you were a weirdo" said Lynn.
Sam then asks. "By the way, how the heck did you even get into the school like this?"
"Oh, well I had a chat with Principal Rivers and she said that it was okay, just as long as I didn't cause any trouble, and that she wanted to have some tacos and not wait in line or something" said Rita. She also told that to her husband and he's probably inbound with the delivery of those said tacos for Principal Rivers.
Leni smirks. "Well, at least we spoke to you before things went out of hand, and also if you wanna know more about teen life. Then ask us, and I know why you wouldn't ask us. Because whenever you always picked us up from school, Lori would be with you and tell you a lot of stuff that went down at school."
Rita nods. "Yeah, that was is literally true." They all chuckle at what she had just said. Soon, Rita takes her leave and the girls all head back into the school.
But they don't notice the stealth robot drone above the school, and it's branded to the name Jak69. It then flies off to head to where it's master is hiding.
