Chapter 556.
"The Crest Manager."
(May 4. The Loud House.)
At the backyard of the Loud House, we see Luna along with Lincoln and Jordan, and the duo are talking to each other with whatever they have next to do.
"Alright, so got any plans on what to do when summer vacation comes up dudes?" asked Luna.
"Well, we could go on a vacation, like a trip and the bet are all going in to the trip for Lake Eddy on Castaway Island" said Jordan. "We also plan to have some other company come with us."
Lincoln nods. "That company is in the form of Ronnie Anne, Sid and possibly Becca Chang, we're not so sure if bringing Stanley Chang is a good idea. He is a man of trains, and the island has no trains at all."
"The reason why we would pick Becca be part of the trip is because she'd be fascinated in studying the wildlife thriving there, and mostly towards the large lake monster, Plessy." Then he recalls something. "Also, sometime this week we have a plan for going sky diving again, with Ronnie Anne and Sid."
Luna smirks. "Well, now that does sound like an awesome and pretty radical idea. Also, if you guys plan to skydive, I'm in as well, and who knows, maybe Sam and Michelle would…. Okay, so maybe Sam would wanna tag along with us to the island too."
They recall what had happened when Michelle was with them and how badly it went for her. "So, what else is on the agenda for summer vacation?" asked Jordan.
Luna was going to tell them about Leni and her plan soon, but then someone goes to them from the kitchen door and that someone is Leni. "Guys, someone is here for you, but they're outside the front yard."
Lincoln, Luna and Jordan are confused, and so Patriot and Valkyrie take off and they see what's going on, and so the trio get up and go back into the house and make their way to the front door. "So, who the heck wants to see us?" asked Jordan.
Luna is unsure. "No clue, but something's gotten me into the uneasy vibes, and I got a bad feeling on who might that be." They are now at the front door and they open it to see this woman Luna has met before.
Katie Crest.
Manager to the upcoming summer music tour.
She has tan skin, wears yellow earrings, white shirt, blue coat, black shorts with buttons, stockings and gray boots.
The woman smiles. "Luna…" The door is closed in front of her face and Luna is not amused by this. The door is knocked once again.
Lincoln and Jordan look towards Luna. The rocker teen sighs. "I am not in the mood to deal with someone who tried to reason with me many times, and then went with Chunk because I showed her how good he is, and chances she might wanna have us be part of her plan for this summer."
Lincoln is about to say something, but then Michelle Lewis speaks. "Katie Crest? You gotta be kidding me right? I know what she's here for, she was there when the whole spring music festival was around and I think she wants more than just Luna and her band."
Lincoln then sees the big picture. "Yeah, that does make sense. But we're not sure that…" The door is knocked again. "She's not gonna leave us alone until she lets us hear her out."
Luna sighs and she looks to Michelle, the woman doesn't like this but they know Lincoln is right and so they open the door and see that it's not Katie Crest. "Hey mates."
"Chunk dude, good to see…" Luna sees Katie Crest next to him. "What the heck is she doing here?"
Chunk then speaks. "Luna, hear her out. She has something to tell ya, something that could be good for you, the band and everything else. Sure as heck she's been good for me and the band onboard for the whole thing too."
Luna sighs. "Fine, but whatever she has that might be bad is not up to code for us." She steps aside and lets them in, and then Katie Crest sees her, Michelle Lewis. The two women look to each other with a deadly glare and this makes things a little bit awkward.
"Well, this seems less than fitting" said Katie Crest. "So, this is where you have been all along?"
Michelle Lewis scoffs. "This life is a better life for me and after regaining what was lost to me, I am not the top notch woman you'll ever be and I don't even need to be on tour and manipulating folks."
Katie Crest crosses her arms. "Oh, that's rich. That was the old me, and I don't intend to do so again, unlike you and the many times you were sent to…"
Luna gets in front of her face and shows off her mean glare. "Back off from her, Michelle Lewis is our manager, our friend and our family, and picking on her means picking on us. So back off and stick to whatever stupid thing you wanna talk about, or go and check on where the door is."
Lincoln and Jordan also stand with her and are also upset about this, and then Patriot and Valkyrie fly in and land on their shoulders and glare out at them.
Katie Crest sighs. "Fine." She goes over to the arm chair to talk to them, Chunk on the other hand did not see this coming, and so they all take their seats, and Leni also watches this happen. On the couch is where Lincoln, Jordan, Luna and Michelle are sitting.
"So, what the heck is the plan you got for us, dude?" asked Luna. "Also, even though I should bring Sam and the others into the mix, I'd rather hear this out before a fight breaks out. So, what's your deal Crest?"
Katie smirks. "Well, you should know that the summer country musical tour is coming up, and after what I saw at the Royal Woods Musical Festival, I'd like to have you, along with your band mates and these two kids be part of it. The whole country saw the song you performed, so why not come along for the ride?"
Chunk then speaks. "We got the gear for the job, and a lot of the good musical stuff in for the trade and we even got word that Mick Swagger is going to be part of the show too, well he'll be catching up to help make the tour a bit more interesting. We still have the tour bus he gave us which we can use."
Katie Crest smirks. "So, how about it Luna Loud? Wanna be part of the whole gig?"
Luna looks towards Lincoln and Jordan, and they both whisper towards Luna, and then Michelle joins in on this and this doesn't look well for Katie Crest and angers her. 'This is not what I wanted! I don't want that woman on tour, this tour is for me to be on top and her out of the picture!'
The group then looks towards Katie Crest. "We'll need to talk with the rest of the band, and then we're gonna talk about the whole plans of what we're gonna do and then we're gonna lay down the rules, and not just us" said Luna.
Jordan speaks up. "We also need to let the family know, because we've been through this tour before and it nearly costed the lives of those we love dearly. They all look to Lincoln who holds the hands of Luna and Jordan, and they too hold his hands to keep him from losing himself from that memory.
Lincoln sighs. "We're not looking for another god damn repeat of the whole outcome, and it won't just be us in this ride as well. Chances we'll have some other folks come with us to make sure nothing else bad happens."
Katie Crest sees Michelle Lewis glaring at her, and also Patriot and Valkyrie. The woman sighs. "Alright, fine. Chunk and I are at the hotel outside of town, just call us if you and your friends and family are done talking." She then takes her leave, but they can feel that she is super miffed.
Luna then stops Chunk from leaving. "Dude, this whole thing is not feeling right with me."
Chunk sighs. "I feel ya luv, and I don't even trust her with what she has planned. She seemed calm and not miffed when she was working with us for the past months, but I guess this might be on me."
"What do you mean?" asked Lincoln.
Chunk then explains. "This all happened weeks before the Royal Woods Musical Festival, and when I mentioned about the big event, that's when Katie Crest walks in and says that she's gonna tag along with me to see the whole event, and I thought it would be a good thing."
"But after what's been going on now, I'm not so keen in whatever plan she has next. She did see the talent from you, the band and then Lincoln and Jordan, and the one thing that has me curious." He looks to Michelle. "She has never told me what beef she has with you."
Michelle sighs. "That one is… Complicated, and something that will be spoken about tomorrow."
They all can tell that whatever is going on involves so much revolving around Michelle Lewis and Katie Crest. Sounds like a past or history that involves a major part of history, and the best way to know is to be on the following day.
They need to get the rest of their friends, family and the band in on this. Chunk on the other hand, he has his own mission to deal with.
