Chapter 566.
"Treats for Great Lakes City."
(Great Lakes City.)
The limo of Gretchen Warwick has arrived to the apartment building, and they come out of the limo and head to the building. "Heads up!" They all look to the right and see Ronnie Anne and Sid arrive on their skateboards and so they step back a bit and let them pass.
Ronnie Anne Santiago and Sidney Chang stop and look to the group that showed up: Lincoln Loud, Jordan Rosato, Ryan Rosato, Gretchen Warwick and Hope Pertland. They also have something with them.
"Hey guys, glad you could all make it and what the heck are with the boxes?" asked Sid.
"This? This is something from our school the other day and we thought that it would be a good idea for you guys and the others in the Casagrande family to try what we made from our business projects" said Lincoln.
Ronnie Anne and Sid liked the sound of this. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go." They follow Ronnie Anne and Sid and they head into the apartment building, they do pass by Mrs. Kernicky who is headed out for a jog, and then they head upstairs and then arrive at the door of the Casagrandes.
Ronnie Anne and Sid open the door and they walk in to see Carl, CJ, Carlota, Frida, Maria, Sergio and Lalo watching some TV, while Rosa is cleaning the house.
(Hector and Bobby are dealing with cleaning the Mercado, Maria is at work and Carlos was called by a museum if he could help be a temporary tour guide for the folks coming to see their new exhibit.)
The Casagrande family see them and they go over and greet the group from Royal Woods. Then Lalo tackles Ryan. "What the heck?!" He chuckles and soon the large dog gets off and Ryan gets up. "He sure likes it when familiar company is around."
Sergio looks around and sees that some others aren't with them. "At least those…" Then Patriot and Valkyrie land onto the shoulders of Lincoln and Jordan, alongside Freya and Artemis and then Apollo and Raptor arrive on foot.
Sergio is annoyed by this, and also afraid. "I'll be in my cage." He flies off and this angers the eagles.
Rosa goes towards the group. "Sorry about him, Sergio really doesn't like eagles, and I do question why he seems more content on making friends with other birds at the zoo."
"Same" replied Sid. "Though I should warn him, we just got a brand new exhibit at the zoo. North American Golden Eagles, and we're gonna follow the same tricks you guys have been doing. We're gonna let them fly around and enjoy themselves and possibly they could be tamed."
This makes the group smile. "Nice, though taming them is not the word to use or even try, because we prefer trust and cooperation and thus making friends with the eagles" said Jordan.
Sid thinks about this. "Hmm, noted. I'll tell my mom about this."
Then Rosa smells something. "What is the aroma?" They all look to the boxes. "What do you all have there?"
Lincoln and the others place what they got onto the table. "This is what we made the other day for our Royal Woods Middle School Business project." Hope removes the crates cover and they open the box and they see what is inside.
Some pizza's along with some sweet apple slices!
Apple Slices that were dipped in caramel, skewered by a tooth pick and then dipped again in honey. (They still don't know what's with the bits of candy-like honey.) There are more than 900 slices.
Cheese Pizza with bacon bits, pepperoni pizza with bacon bits and a large pizza with bacon, olives, pepperoni, cheese, onion rings and mushrooms. 3 pizza's each.
The sight of the food has the familia drooling, and Lalo's is a total waterfall leading out of the apartment building, and Parr slips from this. But Bobby goes to help him, only to slip as well. "Why does this water smell like the food Abuela made?"
Carl then asks. "What the heck?! This is what you guys made?!"
Lincoln nods. "The Apple Slices were made by myself, along with my partner Liam and the Pizzas are from the business from Hope and Jordan, and we had some leftovers and so we decided to bring them along as we have our day here in Great Lakes City."
"They look delicious! Now all we need to do is try these!" said Frida.
"Hang on!" Carlota has her phone and she takes a pic of the food. "I wanna post this and see how many folks know about this stuff, or let some of my friends know." Then she realizes. "Wait, did you guys bother to sell them to an actual business?"
Lincoln and Jordan nod. "We did, and as of now we let Lynn's Table sell this kind of food" replied Jordan.
"Well, go ahead and eat guys" said Gretchen.
They all look to the food and try the pizza and the apple slices and the taste of both products has them shocked beyond, and even Rosa is impressed. "Madre Mia! This is amazing! These Apple Slices are as if they were blessed by gods!" She then tries another.
"These taste great!" CJ takes a slice of all three pizzas and he eats them.
"Dude! This taste even better than what we have here in Great Lakes City!" Ronnie Anne and Sid then grab another slice, and then they try the sweet apple slices.
Carlota, Carl and Frida keep eating and so does Lalo who has an imagination of marrying the pizza, and then the apple slices, and little Carlitos is trying the apple slices and now he loves them.
Rosa looks to the group. "The pizza is incredible, but how are these Apple slices even sweeter than anything I have made and tried?"
Lincoln then tries to explain. "We're not so sure, in fact we didn't even add anything extra to the mix. I mean, the caramel was from Liam's farm, and same with the jars of honey we used. But we don't know what the heck is with the extra flavor that made the whole thing taste incredible. So, my little sister Lisa is gonna be doing some research on a sample we let her take so we can figure it out."
Rosa then takes another apple slice. "Well, I would like to call Liam's family farm. Because I want to know what other fresh produce that they have that would make a good ingredient to my cooking!"
"The toppings from the pizza, most are from Liam's farm, like the cheese" said Jordan.
"We ordered a lot to make the business project happen, and we passed with high grades and tied with Liam and Lincoln" said Hope.
Sid then looks to Gretchen and Ryan. "So, what the heck were your business project?"
"We bedazzled watches, glasses and cellphone cases" replied Gretchen. "We got a good grade and made everyone's stuff look fabulous, and we even helped make some school bags look sparkly and bedazzled them."
"I was never a fan of bedazzling and stuff, but after what we did. I am so liking it" said Ryan. (That's because his glasses have some sparkly stars and eagle logos around them.)
Hearing this catches Carlota's attention. "Whoa. We need to talk about this, in fact you guys need to show me."
"Well, as much fun as it would be to show you how we did it. We're gonna have to do that next time" replied Gretchen.
"She's right" replied Hope. "We came here to spend some time together around the town and the first one is the Burger Blast."
The Casagrandes, along with Sid and Ronnie Anne stop and they needed to tell them something. "You guys are gonna have to go with a no on that one" said Ronnie Anne.
Hearing that confuses the group from Royal Woods. "Why?" asked Jordan.
Frida then tells them. "Right now, there is a big plumbing crisis at the local eateries around the city. My husband, he told me that these local businesses have had their plumbing systems connected to each other, and for some reason they blew and leaked all over."
Then Carlota tells them what happened next. "Eventually a lot of folks questioned why this happened, and then cops found out who made this happen, and that someone is…"
Carl sighs. "Jim Sparkletooth. I thought I respected the man, but seeing how he wants to ruin businesses for his show, now I don't. That is so wrong and now we can't even eat pizza or go for some burgers!"
Hearing that shocks the group from Royal Woods and Ryan faints. "Wait what?! Whoa. Now that is dark and going too far!" said Lincoln in anger. "Where the heck is he now?"
"Right now, rotting in jail" replied Ronnie Anne as she eats another slice of pizza. "After the whole arrest, they got all the evidence they needed and all thanks to your FutureTech guys. They had drone cameras in the sewers and they saw him making a mess with the pipe lines."
"No court for that dirty truth" said Sid. "Because he got his hands dirty and now he's gonna rot like a dirt bag he is. Did I just make several puns?"
They all chuckle hearing that. "Well, I guess we can hang out here" said Jordan. They all begin to enjoy the food and they even let Gretchen's limo driver in for something to eat and drink as well, and he needed to use the bathroom real bad.
Carlota is busy seeing how well they can bedazzle her purse, and then she asks if they can do the same to her phone, and then to her school bag and then to her boots, and then Sid asks if they have something in Yoon-Kwan style, and the answer is: Yes.
Carl then goes to Lincoln and Jordan. "You know, you guys can sell this here in the city. How about we make a business trade?"
Lincoln and Jordan look to each other and then to Carl. "No." the others chuckle hearing this and this makes Carl upset and he goes back to eating some sweet apple slices.
Rosa then takes some slices of pizza and some sweet apple slices and she brings them to Sergio. Then the door opens and they see Bobby and Hector. "We smelled something in the Mercado and then went here to see… Whoa! Pizza!" Hector goes over and tries this and so does Bobby.
Look like a usual and seemingly normal time for those within Great Lakes City.
(Someplace else.)
A bus makes a stop somewhere at a Gas station far from Tuscola, and a girl comes out and she looks around and sees the location, the bus driver then asks. "Kid, I don't know what the heck you want to do with coming here, but is this a good option?"
The girl doesn't show her face because she's wearing a hoodie and she looks to the bus driver. "I know what I'm doing. Now leave me be."
The bus drives off, and the girl checks the large wad of cash she has and then the gas station. 'Alright, time for me to get what I need, and then find another place to get more stuff and then I'm coming back to Royal Woods!'
From the puddle of water, the face is shown to be… Leslie Silver, and she's got intentions to get Lincoln to love her, and to beat the crud out of those she once called friends.
