Pushing the French door to the swimming arena wide open, the pungent odor of chlorine introduced itself to him and engaged a grimace on his handsome features. The sound of water splashing with every dive of the athletes somehow put him at ease, in the prison of displeasing space laced with chlorine.
Gray had been recruited to the swim club so many damn times, yet he refused each and each of those invitations. The primary reason; is Coach Aquarius scared the shit out of him, plus he never likes the infuriating odor of chlorine invading his nostrils. Not to brag but as they quoted, 'he had the body for it,' and he wondered when did the swim club turn into a modeling club, anyway?
The raven-haired shoved his hands into his pockets, trailing behind Natsu and Loke to watch the blonde's first training camp. In the pink-haired idiot's case, he knew that he was truly genuine with his words. On the other hand, he couldn't say the same for his horndog ginger-haired friend, he knew he was just here to ogle high school girls in their respective swimwear.
After almost half a day of ruling the glacial-floored rink; the practice of the hockey teams had to be cut short due to the figure skaters, and that includes his sister, Ultear. During this hour, it was her turn to own the stage which was his domain.
Gray leaned on the railings, making sure to stay away from Natsu who was acting as a huge cheerleader to the blonde girl, earning a blush from his best friend. His deep-blue irises stared at the gentle waves of the water as the athletes glide freely through the surface, and that's when a familiar sweet voice brought him out of his trance, eyes wandering towards the direction where the sound rang from.
There she was, at the edge of the pool directing her team as she stood in her glory with her swimwear embracing her curvaceous body that could rival that of a runway model, her oversized varsity jacket covering her slender arms and ending just above her mid-thigh which gave view to her toned legs. He could swear that she had the best pair of legs, a part of his mind couldn't help but wonder what would it feel like wrapped around his waist or — he shook his head, ending those pervy train of thoughts.
She raked her dainty fingers through her luscious waves of blue, seeming to be frustrated with the sly silver-haired beside her. Gathering her smooth curls on her fingers, she tied her hair into a loose bun which exposes some skin on her nape.
A smirk emerged on Loke's handsome features, nudging his ribcage with his elbow. "Dude, take it easy. She might melt," he says in a sarcastic tone only to be ignored.
Her pearly white teeth gnaw on her pouty lips, feeling a penetrative gaze on her as she embraced her body in a protective stance. Juvia looked around the enclosed pool area, oceanic orbs meeting with the least man that she expected. Gray coolly waved at her as their eyes locked upon each other, engaging a tint of red staining her bright cheeks as she crouched down out of childish instinct.
Juvia is shy!
Sorano looked at her incredulously, her gaze traveling towards the bleachers as she encircled her slender arms below her chest. "Captain," she says in a mocking tone, "You seem to be a bit on edge. Was it because of Magnolia Academy's hockey captain?"
Her brows formed a thin line, looking up and glaring at her sly co-captain. Most of the time, she couldn't help but wonder why Sorano have this certain hostility towards her; she was even dating Meredy so what's there to hate when they could be friends too? Her thoughts could only lead to one conclusion, it was their rivalry towards the captain position. Right?
Gray raised his eyebrow at her cute behavior, clenching his jaw as a thought ran through his mind — did he make her feel uncomfortable? Fuck! The raven-haired athlete turned his back and decided to just walk away, leaving a cheerleader Natsu, and a Loke flirting with a green-haired older woman. Just as he was heading towards the large doors, he looked back at her spot only to be met by that curious gaze of hers.
This isn't good, this isn't good.
