First off: belated happy New Year and welcome to 2022. Last month I said that this fic will be ready by the end of January, but for a reason it ended up getting delayed, in which I won't make any excuses. It is because I caught the COVID despite getting vaccinated, and I believe that I have gotten the Omicron variant. Thankfully I managed to recover while isolating myself inside my house but as a result working on this and my other fanfics slowed down, hence the late update of this fic.
Now that I finished my explanation…time to get down to business…
Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I am really happy and this inspired me to bring in the next chapter, and here the story picks up where the last chapter left, in which Midoriya and Camie are about to find a way to earn money due to supply shortage…while at the same time Class 1-A are in a situation that might cost them their education…
And something unexpected is about to take place…
Well then, read on and enjoy!
Ch. 12: Shūshoku katsudō
Minutes later, the scene shifts at the apartment complex, where Midoriya and Camie are set to leave, as Camie suggested that for the time being they should look for part-time jobs as they need money to buy food, and given that their provisional hero licenses were confiscated, they couldn't work at any Hero Agencies, hence for now they should find jobs that can be easy to work while waiting for Midoriya's suspension to be lifted and regain his license.
Midoriya then asked Camie what about her, though she smiled and said that she has her ways, but deep inside she is saddened, as aside from being expelled, she was disowned by her own family, and because of that, transferring to another Hero course school would be difficult as a certificate of good moral character is needed, and because of the viral video, it is likely that other schools would not accept her.
Camie then led Midoriya as they left the apartment complex to begin looking for jobs, and as they went to the ground floor, some neighbors noticed the two teens and are now wondering why he is not at school, not to mention that they accidentally overheard about two agents of the Hero Public Safety Commission came and told Midoriya about his suspension and confiscation of his provisional hero license.
There it is revealed that the neighbors mysteriously received the viral video but did not believe that Midoriya is the one on the video as they know that Midoriya is not the kind of boy who would do something foolish to expose himself, and believe that he was framed. Moreover, the neighbors deduced that Midoriya didn't mentioned any of this as a way to protect the neighbors and Inko from unwanted scrutiny.
It is also revealed that they accidentally overheard the fact that Midoriya was unjustly suspended from UA Academy after accidentally eavesdropping from the visiting Class 1-A students who visited Midoriya, which surprised the neighbors.
"Eh?"
"Seriously?"
"Izuku suspended?"
"All because of that viral video…?"
"How cruel…"
"I can't believe that UA Academy is like that…"
"Shouldn't they investigate first?"
"Now I feel sorry for that boy…"
One of the neighbors suggested that Inko must be informed as he couldn't bear that Midoriya be fending for himself after the misfortunes that struck him and now he has a companion with him, and other neighbors recognize Camie as the girl on the viral video, which the others realize.
This caused the neighbors to be divided in opinion on whether Midoriya did that and starred in the viral video, as some believe that Midoriya is guilty while others are sure that he and Camie were set up by a serial perverted individual.
"I believe that boy is at fault…"
"Yeah…he did a porn video…"
"And now he brought that whore here…"
"Well serves them right…"
"Hey, you can't just judge them!"
"She's right! Why would Izuku do something like exposing himself?"
"I'm sure that boy has been set upped!"
"Indeed."

At UA Academy, the scene shows that a stand-off took place as Vlad King, Aizawa and Hound Dog stood in front of Class 1-A while confronting Munō-sensei, telling him that his actions will attract unwanted scrutiny as well as attracting the attention of the media should word spread about Munō-sensei intended to expel the entire Class 1-A for an unjust reason.
Munō-sensei insisted that Class 1-A is at fault for defying school regulations but Aizawa said that he was the one who instructed the six Class 1-A students to do a welfare check on Midoriya, now that his provisional hero license was confiscated, hence he now doesn't have the LEGAL means to protect himself from villain attacks.
Aizawa also said that Munō-sensei cannot just sanction Class 1-A for no justifiable reasons, and said that if parents of Class 1-A were to find out about this not only would they complain legally, but they would put word of it via social media, and pointed out that Munō-sensei will be the one who gets the most flak for his unreasonable actions and decisions.
"And that's what would happen…"
"Baloney!"
"…"
"The fact remained the same. Class 1-A committed a grave violation. And therefore they must be punished!"
"Your actions are wrong."
"My actions and decisions are justifiable!"
"…"
"And it will stay the same!"
Munō-sensei appeared to be unfazed, and insisted that as acting principal he has to uphold the rules of UA Academy and reiterated that he is doing this to set an example so that the students won't let themselves get over their head and maintain that Class 1-A has committed grave misconduct within the school and it is just that they be punished.
Todoroki then stepped forward and revealed that he recorded the conversation just now and the ones earlier and revealed that he is ready to send it to Endeavor, saying that once the current Number One hero received this, he is sure to come here and confront Munō-sensei and is willing to get PHYSICAL should he finds the action ABUSIVE and unjustifiable, which the acting principal is taken aback by this.
"Wh-what…?"
"You heard me."
"!"
"One press and Endeavor will find out."
"Y-you…you brat…!"
"What will you do…?"
"You damn delinquent…!"
"Now here is the deal…"
Todoroki then said that he is willing to compromise and delete the recording if Munō-sensei lets Class 1-A off the hook for now and that the class will tow the line, but if the acting principal were to insist with the unjustified house arrest then he will send the recording to Endeavor.
Munō-sensei twitched his eyes as he couldn't believe that Todoroki would be willing to resort to blackmailing, though the son of Endeavor said that this is the best compromise he can offer, and tells the acting principal that it is now up to him whether he is willing to compromise or not.
"Do you realize what you are doing…?"
"…"
"This is blackmail!"
"No. Giving you a choice."
"Y-you…you brat…! Just because you're the son of Endeavor doesn't mean…"
"What will you do…? Will you accept or decline?"
"You damn delinquent…! You won't get away with this outrage!"
"Decide now…"
Munō-sensei glared at Todoroki, feeling insulted at being blackmailed, but recognizing that it would attract the media if Endeavor were to come here and confront him about this, he is forced to accept the compromise and said that he will forget what has happened and left, and there the rest of Class 1-A thanked Todoroki for what he did, calling him a LIFESAVER.
"Todoroki!"
"Todoroki!"
"Todoroki!"
"Todoroki!"
"You saved us!"
"We owe you one!"
"You're a lifesaver!"
"Thanks, man!"
Meanwhile, Aizawa whispered to Hound Dog and Vlad King that they need to come up with a way to do a series of welfare check so as to know the situation with Midoriya as he is prone to attacks once villains find out about the situation, which Hound Dog said that he will contact some of his contacts and ask them to periodically check on the Midoriya residence and see how Midoriya is doing.
Vlad King then whispered to Aizawa and said that he would try to secretly contact Nezu and inform him of the situation, saying that he finds it suspicious that the Hero Public Safety Commission had confiscated Midoriya's provisional hero license because of the viral video that has spread.
He also said that he even sensed that something is odd, like how the Hero Public Safety Commission knew that Midoriya is staying at his home and knew of Midoriya's suspension from UA Academy, which Aizawa nodded and said that Nezu should be informed as he is the only one who can bargain with the Hero Public Safety Commission and get Midoriya to regain his provisional hero license.
"Nezu must be informed. This has to stop."
"I agree."
"He's the only one who can talk sense to the Hero Public Safety Commission...and probably the only one who can get Midoriya's license back…"
"You're right."
"We better find a way to contact Nezu without alerting Munō-sensei…"
"Then we should try using our contacts…"
"So let's do it."
"…"

Elsewhere, the scene shows that Camie and Midoriya went to various stores and establishment to look for part-time jobs, and while they did find several that has signs that say "PART-TIME JOBS AVAILABLE", some of the owners of the establishment that the two teens approached were turned down and claimed that they are already FULL.
Some other establishment owners even rudely turn them away saying that they ONLY HIRE PEOPLE WITH GOOD MORAL CHARACTERS and NOT DELINQUENTS. They even threatened to call the cops if the two teens do not leave the premises immediately, and the dejected teens were forced to leave as even other establishment owners rudely told them to apply as AV stars (AV means Adult Video).
"Get lost!"
"No delinquents allowed!"
"You brats!"
"You'll scare the customers away!"
"Get lost!"
"No delinquents allowed!"
"You brats!"
"You'll scare the customers away!"
As the two teens are set to leave, one establishment owner stealthily approached the two and whispered to them, saying that he happened to witness a person dressed like a businessman and told the other establishment owners not to hire either Camie or Midoriya no matter what, and the sympathetic establishment owner also revealed that the unidentified person even BRIBED the other establishment owners not to hire the two teens.
The sympathetic establishment owner said that he is willing to hire Camie and Midoriya but his boss wouldn't let him saying that the viral video being spread is too much of a risk, and so he apologized to the two teens, saying that he doesn't believe that Camie and Midoriya are the ones behind the viral video.
The establishment owner's boss showed up and berated him for ENTERTAINING the two DELINQUENTS and threatened to fire him if he doesn't get Midoriya and Camie to leave, and the sympathetic establishment owner apologized and pleaded to the two teens to leave the area at once.
As Midoriya and Camie left, they went to another establishment though they saw several HELP WANTED signs, the establishment owners refuses them on the account that their APPEARANCE on the viral video would cause the customers to leave, and even other establishment owners rudely told them to find jobs elsewhere saying that they despise PORN STARS who are the SCOURGE of society.
"Get lost!"
"No delinquents allowed!"
"You brats!"
"You'll scare the customers away!"
"Go make porn films on yourselves, you hentai!"
"Go find a job as sex workers!"
"You horny brats!"
"Go home and masturbate yourselves!"
By the end of the day, Midoriya and Camie returned to the apartment complex, and Camie was disheartened at what happened and apologized to Midoriya for getting dragged into this mess, though he told her that she is not at fault, saying that the culprit has surely made a good calculating plan to discredit him and Camie, and assured to her that there is another chance to find a part-time job.
As Midoriya went to the kitchen, he slowly became worried as he found out that the food supply is now depleted, hence they have nothing to eat for tomorrow, and the money he and Camie have are good for tomorrow's trip to find part-time jobs, and because of that, the two teens would be forced not to eat tomorrow straight.
He turned around and saw Camie, as she realized what he is worried about, and she glanced at the floor as she is starting to get discouraged at the situation they are in yet Midoriya tried to reassure her that this is not the end of everything.
"Its okay, Utsushimi…"
"I…"
"Its okay. Don't worry."
"But…"
"Its okay…really…"
"No…its…"
"There's nothing for you to…"
"But there is…!"
Midoriya then saw her face and tears fell from her eyes, and he hugged her, as he tells her that they are not giving up and promised that everything will be okay and he will not let the true culprit get away with what he/she did, and said that he would try to call some CONTACTS and see if there might be a way to find temporary jobs to apply.
"Its okay, Utsushimi…"
"I…"
"Its okay. Don't worry. I happened to know some contacts…maybe they might give us some part-time jobs…"
"But…"
"Its okay…really…"
"No…its…it's my fault…"
"You did nothing wrong…so stop blaming yourself…"
"…"
