My apologies for the late update. An unexpected situation happened in which my laptop developed a problem and subsequently CRASHED, and though I was able to save my files, the fanfics that I last saved were corrupted, and while the fanfics I've typed were among those saved, 50% of the progress was affected, hence I had to restart working on the chapters, hence I was unable to meet the deadline which the next update was supposed to be the last week of March.
So now I'm working on the next chapters and if this fic gets a review, I will have the next update ready. Now that I finished my explanation…time to get down to business…
Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I am really happy and this inspired me to bring in the next chapter, and here the story picks up where the last chapter left, in which Midoriya and Camie are facing a crisis…as they now have nothing to eat or money to buy food...
Find out what will happen next...
Well then, read on and enjoy!
Ch. 13: Yoki senu kyūsoku
The next morning, Midoriya woke up as the time now is 07:30, and he glanced at his left side where he saw Camie sleeping beside him, looking like she had a peaceful slumber though she cried last night as she felt that she was at fault for the misfortunes she and Midoriya experienced and it took him quite a while before managing to calm her down.
He felt bad that she got dragged into this mess and wondered how and why the culprit made the doctored video as he and Camie never met before only meeting for the first time during the recently-concluded school festival at UA Academy. He began to wonder if the culprit is someone who has an obsession towards Camie and took revenge after the mock wedding incident which became the talk of the school, but what it didn't make sense is the viral video that is circulating.
He and Camie NEVER had SEXUAL INTERCOURSE and have not met after the UA Academy School Festival, hence it is clear that he and Camie were framed for the viral video that he and Camie never committed, and finding a way to clear their names would be a long shot and would take some time as they have no leads to who is behind this.
By then he decided not to wake her up and he carefully got out of bed and went downstairs, as he is now worried about today's meal as they are now virtually out of food supply, and they are facing the possibility of skipping breakfast, lunch and dinner altogether today as the money they have are good for today's transport.
As Midoriya sat on the couch, he is thinking hard about what to do, as he couldn't possibly call his mom as she is currently on vacation and he knew that she would become a nervous wreck the moment she finds out about what happened to him and his unjust suspension from UA Academy.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang and Midoriya went to the door and answered it, where he is surprised to see two men standing outside who turn out to be deliverymen and there one of them asked if the person they are speaking to is Midoriya.
"Good day."
"Uh…good day."
"Are you Mr. Izuku Midoriya...?"
"Yes…that's me."
"Good. Were from the Roving Movers and we are here to deliver something to you…"
"Me…?"
"Yes."
"?"
The deliveryman told Midoriya that he is to receive a package, which the 16-year old boy blinked his eyes as he doesn't recall being told about a delivery, and there two more deliverymen came and are carrying two medium-sized boxes and placed it inside the apartment unit's living room area, and a baffled Midoriya asked what are the contents, which the deliverymen said that the contents are EDIBLE and for CONSUMPTION.
Midoriya raised an eyebrow as one of the deliverymen said that a GOOD SAMARITAN has chosen Midoriya as someone this person decided to help with, and the deliverymen told Midoriya that they do not believe that the boy is the one on the viral video as there is no way that he would do a SEX video and upload it just like that knowing that he would expose himself.
"Eh…?"
"Yeah…we don't buy what we saw at that viral video."
"Uh…"
"If you really intend to SHOW YOURSELF like that you could've put on a disguise…no one in the right mind would risk exposing himself to the public."
"You mean…?"
"We believe that your innocent…and we're pretty sure that your name will be cleared."
"…"
"…"
After that, the deliverymen left and Midoriya glanced at the medium-sized boxes before opening it, just as Camie came down after hearing the doorbell rang, and upon opening the boxes the two teens were surprised to see canned goods and even instant foods that are ready to be heated before eating.
Checking the other box the contents are revealed to be fresh meats and chicken and three sacks of rice, and Camie was surprised to see this and asked Midoriya what is going on, and he himself said he has no idea why, saying that according to the deliverymen, someone sent these items here without warning and he was the recipient.
"Really, Midoriya?"
"Looks like it…"
"Wow…"
"I have no idea who would…"
"Looks like someone do believe in us…"
"I'm not sure…"
"Now who would do something and want to help us…?"
"No idea…"
Camie wondered who would do this as she know that her own family has disowned her and that Midoriya hasn't told any of his relatives about his situation, and Midoriya himself wondered who would do this, yet he decided to accept it as this somewhat solved the problem about food, and there he told Camie that they better unpack the items and put them on the shelves before they cook breakfast which she nodded.
"Okay…"
"Hmm…?"
"We better unpack."
"Oh."
"After that I'm going to cook breakfast so we can eat."
"Yeah…"
"Shall we…?"
"Okay…"

Later in the day, a teacher at UA Academy requested to Bakugo to do a LITTLE ERRAND, which surprisingly, he accepted as he doesn't feel like attending classes as he is still pissed at Munō-sensei for his actions yesterday, and while doing the errand as the place is within the Central business district, he came across Inasa Yoarashi, and the two blinked their eyes upon meeting unexpectedly.
Yoarashi looked around before inviting Bakugo to a nearby McDonald's restaurant, and the latter reluctantly accepted as he felt that it is too early to head back to UA Academy, and that Yoarashi said that he will pay the food, and as the two boys began eating, Yoarashi stealthily asked how Midoriya and Camie are doing, which Bakugo raised an eyebrow.
He told Yoarashi that he hasn't seen them yesterday and said that he would try to sneak out of UA just to check on them as the acting principal seemingly tried to prevent Class 1-A from seeing Midoriya and Camie, which the Shiketsu student raised an eyebrow and was quite surprised to hear this.
"Seriously…?"
"Yeah."
"Why would he…?"
"Don't know. But he makes me puke."
"This is unexpected."
"I suppose you're right."
"…"
"What?"
Glancing on both sides and seeing that no one else is listening, Yoarashi revealed that a contact of his told him that Midoriya and Camie were seen within this area attempting to look for part-time jobs, with majority of the establishment owners coldly turning them away, as they seemingly appeared not wanting to have anything to do with the two teens despite the HELP WANTED signs being displayed.
Bakugo raised an eyebrow upon hearing this and suddenly recall the visit at Midoriya's apartment unit and recalled seeing the shelves at the kitchen area, and he realized that Midoriya and Camie were trying to find part-time jobs in order to earn money to buy food, as he suddenly realized that Midoriya's food supply has ran out.
Hearing what Yoarashi told him made Bakugo feel that something is odd here as why would someone want to prevent Midoriya from finding a job, as the viral video has nothing to do with the job offerings, and there Yoarashi said that according to his contact, someone bribed the establishment owners and offered them money in exchange for turning Midoriya and Camie away.
Bakugo is now feeling uneasy as even Camie is being prevented from finding a part-time job, and recalling what Camie said about her own family disowning her, he stealthily asked Yoarashi a favor and requested that he send a profile about the Utsushimi family, which made Yoarashi baffled.
"You want a profile on the Utsushimi family…?"
"Yeah."
"Why?"
"Just...want to check on something…"
"Really…?"
"Yeah."
"…"
"…"
Although having some misgivings, Yoarashi nodded and said he'll see what he can do, and after a few more minutes both boys parted ways and Bakugo head back to UA Academy, and as he is walking by the hallway, he is confronted by Munō-sensei and the acting principal became suspicious at seeing him not attending classes, and demanded to know what the teen boy is doing at this time.
Annoyed, Bakugo told Munō-sensei the truth but the acting principal sees this as a weak alibi and is ready to penalized Bakugo for the apparent lie but Bakugo told the acting principal to ask the teacher if he wants to be sure, and soon the teacher who sent Bakugo on an errand confirm everything and said that Bakugo is not at fault here.
However, Munō-sensei is not pleased and had the teacher suspended for two months, while Bakugo is penalized by having a 14-day house arrest, which drove Bakugo in a fury, grabbing Munō-sensei by his collar and shook him quite violently, which soon attracted attention as Recovery Girl heard and saw what is happening and she is dismayed at the foolishness of the acting principal.
"Munō-sensei!"
"What?"
"You really are a fool!"
"Wha…what was that?"
"Your foolishness knows no bounds, do you?"
"How dare you…"
"It makes me wonder why you became an acting principal…"
"Why you…"
As Recovery Girl berated Munō-sensei for his actions, the acting principal insisted that the teacher violated the school rules and thus he must be penalized for his ERRORS, but Hound Dog came and tells the acting principal that it won't happen as he said that if Munō-sensei went ahead with suspending the teacher and hand Bakugo the 14-day house arrest both the teacher and Bakugo will tell the press what the acting principal did, this would cause a STORM which will fall squarely Munō-sensei himself.
Munō-sensei stared wide-eyed at hearing this and said that this is not fair but Hound Dog pointed out that the acting principal himself is not being fair as the teacher has a legitimate reason to send Bakugo on an errand and was excused by Aizawa himself, and despite being irritated, Munō-sensei is forced to relent and canceled the punishment and left.
The beleaguered teacher thanked Hound Dog for the save which the pro hero said it is nothing while advising Bakugo to keep his cool as told the Class 1-A member that the faculty members are looking for a way to contact Nezu and inform him of the situation so that he could find a way to lift Midoriya's suspension and regain his provisional hero license.
"Just keep your cool and don't let Munō-sensei rile you up."
"Hmph. It's hard not to…"
"We're trying means to contact Nezu so he can overrule Munō-sensei's actions and once he comes back he will try to get Midoriya's provisional hero license back and have him return to Heights Alliance."
"…"
"Can you do that, Bakugo…?"
"…fine…"
"Good."
"…"
After that, Bakugo head back to his classroom while Hound Dog and the teacher head back to the teachers' lounge.

Two nights later, the scene shifts at the dining hall of Heights Alliance dormitory where Bakugo is sitting on a chair drinking a mug of warm milk as he is checking on the laptop where he is awaiting the information that Yoarashi promised him, and there he is startled when Todoroki passed by and asked why is Bakugo staying up so late, and though he wanted to keep it to himself, Bakugo felt compelled and told him what happened after accidentally meeting with the Shiketsu student at the central business district.
Todoroki stared in disbelief upon hearing this and wondered why would someone want to prevent Midoriya from finding a part-time job, and there Bakugo realized something and told his classmate about Midoriya's situation at his home, in which he said that Midoriya's food supply has ran out and sensed that Midoriya looking for a part-time job is due to needing money to buy food.
Todoroki became worried as he realized that both Midoriya and Camie will starve and since they have no money, he became worried that Midoriya and Camie might resort to stealing, and there he said that he will ask his father, Endeavor to do a welfare check on Midoriya and Camie.
Bakugo nodded, saying that this might be better as he has a feeling that Munō-sensei would try any means to prevent any of Class 1-A to go outside and check on Midoriya.
"So…when are you going to ask your pops?"
"In a few minutes from now."
"Fine."
"…"
"See to it that no one finds out. If that Munō bastard catches you…"
"Yeah, I get the drift."
"Just be discreet."
"I will."
What Bakugo and Todoroki didn't know is that a GOOD SAMARITAN donated RELIEF GOODS to the Midoriya home and that Midoriya and Camie are no longer facing a crisis regarding food, and that the two teens are okay for the time being.
Suddenly the laptop blinked and Bakugo checked it out, where a file was sent, and upon opening it the file is revealed to contain the information about the Utsushimi family, and as Todoroki looks on Bakugo rubbed his chin as the two classmates discovered something about the Utsushimi family.
It turns out that all of them possess Quirks that have offensive and defensive capabilities, making this family a formidable force to reckon with, but then Camie's information is shown and what her Quirk is, and there Bakugo started to sense that something is amiss, as Camie would be considered the odd one as her Quirk, Glamour, doesn't have any offensive or defensive capabilities other than casting time-limited illusions.
Recalling the remedial hero license exams and seeing her Quirk in action, Bakugo and Todoroki are piecing together what they deduced, and are wondering if Camie's Quirk has something to do with her family expelling and disowning her, seeing that her family somewhat anticipated the fact that Shiketsu expelled her unjustly and that Camie's parents did not give her a chance to explain her side, giving the two Class 1-A classmates the impression that Camie's parents uses the viral video as an excuse to throw her out of the Utsushimi house and pressured their relatives into turning Camie away.
"Bakugo…are you suggesting…?"
"Well…if you think about it…it somewhat gives you the impression…"
"But…"
"Think about what Utsushimi told us the other day…Shiketsu High expelled her…and when she came home…her parents berated her, verbally and physically…to the point of humiliating her by smacking her face left and right…and then throw her out of the house…and given what Yoarashi told me earlier…like the Utsushimi parents pressuring their relatives into turning Camie away…it somewhat makes sense…"
"And you're suspecting that Camie's parents using the viral video as an excuse to disown her is because her Quirk is deemed weak by their standards…?"
"Its just a suspicion…but if you piece the clues we got together…it might be possible…"
"That's tantamount to child abuse…"
"And you're lucky…if not fortunate…that your family is still intact and not overly-abusive…"
To Be Continued...
Hope you liked this chapter, as Midoriya and Camie got a respite as a GOOD SAMARITAN delivered ESSENTIAL GOODS and now the two teens won't be worrying about food for the time being...
It looks like Bakugo and Todoroki got a possible angle on why Camie was disowned by her own family...yet they still need more evidence to back up their theory...
