Fallout: Kazuma the Road Warrior? XIX
Disclaimers I don't own Fallout or Kono Suba, please support all official releases, while also sticking around for the author notes for what I plan to do throughout out this whole new year, in addition to this story.
Let me go back to telling you all a story about a man, a man who like our heroes has a hatred for raiders, slavers and the Legion.
Making his way towards the Mojave, Xen was a man hailing far from the east coast of the American wasteland, specifically from the Commonwealth wasteland.
His story begins like many of the citizens from the Commonwealth, trying to survive against raids from raiders, once non hostel Ghouls turning Feral, and recently new forms of abominations known as Super Mutants.
Throughout his youth and teen years, he'd spent his time stealing from Raider camps and Raiders themselves till he had enough money to make a frontier towards west.
Expecting something different and better prosperity, Xen still had to deal with the trouble that plagued the American wasteland.
Still he managed to make his living from stealing and killing Raiders, and occasional caravan guard, and had a good life for a while.
That all changed when he made his first encounter with the Legion along with their very presence as a whole, where his life and story really changed and begins.
Seeing them as nothing more than a giant kingdom of Raiders, Xen took his chances to steal, but never killed the Legion, but his streak as thief came to an end at some point down the line.
Upon his capture, he was beaten and tortured for days and left for dead, after the caravan he was working with sold him out to the Legion.
Ever more alone and disillusioned on ever trusting anyone, Xen came to terms and was ready to die alone as he considered himself forever alone, that is until unexpected help arrived.
His savior came in the form of an NCR Ranger, who in spite of the man's insistent demands and barbs towards the Ranger, had healed him back to health.
Eventually this one sided hatred changed as Xen gain to trust and thank the Ranger, and after telling him a bit about his past, and his willingness to challenge the Legion, was encourage to take up his arms and fight the good fight.
Even in spite of having a real friend for the first time in his life, this friendship was put to an end when the Ranger suddenly left and had to return back to California.
While Xen no longer remembers the face of his friend, he does cherish the gift that was left to him, and that was his own customized Anti-Material Rifle.
Setting on his journey towards the Mojave, as his friend mentioned a place called New Vegas, Xen was more than happy to taking down Legion soldiers, Raiders, and anyone who preys on the weak.
Eventually his journey at long last brought him towards the Divide where he takes one all of its inhabitants by the day.
It was here that he eventually got his hands on some spare NCR Veteran armor that was given a custom paint job to look white, instead of black like normally.
Now that you know about Xen, let's talk about his weapon and his ability to combat.
Perched on top of a hill, Xen rested on his stomach as he looked into the scope of his custom Anti-Material Rifle named Ravenshot, the very same one left by his NCR Ranger friend.
Being able to hold an additional 2 more rounds, gives Xen an edge in combat alongside how it not only increases in perception, but in a plus 3 attributes to his stealth skill, and being able to ignore 50% of damage, Xen makes quick work on the field.
Taking a deep breath, Xen set his sights on a Marked Man in Centurion makeshift armor as he was marching with 6 other Marked Men Legion Recruits tailing behind him.
With a single pull of the trigger, the Marked Men Centurion was not only without his arms, but his body was sent flying back 12 feet as it skidded across the floor.
"There's one" commented Xen, as he got the rest of the Marked Men as they began to charge at him with using various other weapons that were scavenged in the Divide.
It mattered not to Xen as he has a passive ability called Deadshot, which grants him additional 20% chance to lay critical hit damage, that applies to his various melee and ranged weapons, that is Ballistic based weaponry, while he gains no bonuses to energy based weaponry.
Being able to put down 2 more Marked Men before they became too close for comfort, Xen quickly stood to his feet and resorted to using his fisticuffs.
Landing a solid blow to a Marked Man's face as he came at him with a Bowie Knife, Xen quickly turned the tables as he held the Marked Men under his arms as he took his knife and plunged it in his back.
At this point, they one Marked Men who was holding a Trail Carbine was ready to put Xen down, but he used the Marked Man he had taken hostage and appropriate him as a human shield.
Waiting for the Marked Man solider who was using the Trail Carbine to empty his rifle, Xen made a mad dash and stabbed his Bowie Knife into his sternum.
As for the remaining 2, with one charging with a Thermal Lancer and the other with a chainsaw, Xen notice the Marked Man he had killed had a grenade on the side of his hip.
Pulling the pin of the grenade, Xen needed to only Spartan Kick the Marked Men he had killed into the remaining 2 Marked Men, before watching their limbs gib into the sky.
"Bah, not even a challenge anymore", said Xen before a Deathclaw popped out of hiding and began to let out a ferocious roar towards Xen.
Not taking his chances, Xen scurried back towards where he had laid his rifle, and quickly turned around before delivering a single clean shot in its chest before the abomination fell upon death.
Letting out a sigh of Relief, Xen made his way and sat in top of the Deathclaw he had killed to remove his helmet so that he may enjoy some MRE's he found and non irradiated water to drink.
"Mm, these MRE's sure are good" Xen said in bliss as he enjoyed his new life as an outlaw.
I wish there was more that I could tell you about Xen, but he's a new character in my book, and while I have no doubt he's one of the good guys, it's too soon to say about where his allegiance stands, compared to that of Chris the Courier or even Kazuma the Road Warrior.
Speaking of Kazuma, I hear that he and his party finally made their way into the Strip at long last and that his adventures from here on out are about to become huge game changers, especially amidst of him and his friends setting foot into Mr. House's territory.
More so there was a rumor that he and one of his party members, specifically that Oasis Beauty were caught not only having the night of their lives at the Tops Casino, dressed in high end evening wear, but even in a bit of Scandalous situation in the presidential suite.
But that is a story for another day.
Hey Guys thank you all so much for being so patient for these updates and like I said, I will deliver, but now let's get onto what I have planned for the future from here on out.
As always I will be updating this story primarily with the goal being somewhere between 10-14 dates in for the next 3-4 months now that I'm back in school, at least that's the ideal plan.
While I am writing this, I will be writing other works of fanfiction in between because I am a writer, and I like to explore and experiment while polishing my writing skills and working on my first novel in progress.
As for what I intend to write, I already have a 12 chapter plan Loud House themed fanfic, centered around my 2 favorite characters Lincoln and Lucy, in addition to that with Isekai Quartet season 2 premiering this season, I'm gonna wait for that to end so I could write an Isekai Quartet fanfic centered around Kazuma, because let's be honest Isekai Quartet does center itself more on Kono Suba than the other Isekai properties, and I'll even bet they'll still outshine to that of the arrival of the characters of the Rising of the Shield Hero, which by the way is my favorite Isekai action anime from last year.
Also in regards to that comment of me making that Outer Worlds/Kono Suba crossover fanfic, I don't think I'll be making that any time soon, simply because with upcoming expansion DLC's to be announce to further elaborate around the story, I just don't want to rush anything in case we get new DLC companions that are awesome, or some real hate worthy villains and companies to arrive in the future.
Also to those who are curious, my favorite companions so far are Parvati Holcomb and Felix Millstone, since I love both their personalities and both seemed to go along greatly as companions as heard between their companion dialogue, while Ellie Fenhill and Vicar Maximillian DeSoto are my least favorite since I don't enjoy Ellie's cynical pessimistic views as I continue forth, and Vicar Max preaches bullshit and loses his shit when things don't go his way, and for the record they are essentially the kind of people I personally don't hang out with in real life.
But to round it all up again, please leave me your thoughts as to what you thought of these 4 mini chapters, these character and their abilities that I have introduce or whatever questions plagues you all that I have mentioned so far or that I didn't mention.
Besides that I just want to thank you guys again for being so patient and sticking around for this fandom, which without you guys, this would've never happened nor continue without your guys' support.
This has been your Humble Narrator Tobi Yaza. =3
